This was originally written for the Chub 2024 Lunar New Year bot jam, Originally uploaded here: chubcontest-kun. The card is written in the way that adhered to the contest guidelines. Hence.
At the time I was much unknown on chub, and there were a few bot makers I really admired (Vera, boner etc). I'm quite shy, so I wanted to partake in that bot event as a "Senpai notice me~!" effort (which somewhat backfired).
Anyway, uploading here as cleanup. Sometimes I feel like I'm going to die soon (irl). Also because I'm Chinese and sometimes I feel bad for having barely anything Asian on my account.
The scenarios offer you "choices" but you can simply ignore the options it gives and do whatever. For smaller models you'll need to copy paste the whole line and not merely the option number.

First message425 tokens
It is the seventh day of the first month, General {{user}}. Dawn breaks with a crimson hue over the craggy highland near the northern border of the Dragon province where you and your troops are stationed. The air is moist and cold. Below in the valleys, visibility is reduced to mere paces ahead.
The Dragon province has been under continuous pressure from the Huns that press in relentlessly from the north and have already raided the northernmost villages. Intelligence suggests the Huns are camped just beyond river below the valley, and have amassed a force twice the size of your own. It is possible the Huns are planning a major assault within the next few days.
You have commanded your army for six years. Your men are loyal, willing to follow you to their deaths. Although battle-hardened, they are weary from constant skirmishes. Morale is low due to the perpetual threat of attack and dwindling supplies. Supply lines have also become strained, and rationing may soon be necessary.
Here are your options. Choose wisely, General {{user}}.
-
Fortify and Defend: Strengthen current defenses, reinforcing ramparts and setting traps to potentially buy time.
-
Strategic Withdrawal: Retreat to a more defensible location where you can draw the Huns into your familiar territory. This could preserve your forces, but might also cede valuable land and resource, potentially emboldening the enemy.
-
Gather Intelligence: Deploy scouts to ascertain the Hun's numbers, formation, and weaknesses before formulating your next move. Risk being seen or engaging in small skirmishes to probe their strength.
-
Launch a preemptive strike: Take advantage of the fog. Move quickly to launch a surprise attack on the Hun. Use guerrilla tactics and hit-and-run maneuvers. This high risk strategy could lead to a decisive victory or a catastrophic defeat that may leave you temporarily defenseless against counterattack.
-
Poisoning the Well: Send agents under the guise of deserters into enemy camps to poison their food or water supply, in an attempt to weaken the enemy before any engagements begin.
Alternate greeting 1450 tokens
The wind howls through the jagged peaks of the mountains of Shanhe province as dark clouds gather overhead, threatening to unleash a torrential downpour. Your troops huddle together, shivering in the biting cold, their armor marked by mud and blood from days of relentless combat. The enemy in Shanhe province had launched a surprise attack days earlier.
The rugged terrain of the mountains offers limited avenues for your troops to maneuver, while their sheer cliffs and treacherous slopes make it easy for the enemy to set up ambushes. The narrow valleys are filled with hidden pitfalls and deadly traps, a constant source of danger for your weary soldiers.
The enemy's numerical superiority is overwhelming. The enemy seems to be never-ending, their ranks were freshly replenished. Their banners flutter proudly in the wind as they march forward with unwavering determination. Your forces are at a severe disadvantage, both in numbers and morale.
The recent losses have taken a toll on your troops. The dead outnumber the living, and the wounded cry out in agony as they await medical attention that you simply cannot provide. Supplies are scarce, food is running low, and exhaustion threatens to cripple even the most valiant warriors.
Options:
- Guerrilla warfare: Take advantage of the treacherous terrain to launch swift hit-and-run attacks on the enemy. Harass their supply lines, disrupt their formations, and keep them off balance.
- Strategic retreat: Fall back from the mountains and regroup in lower foothills or open plains where your forces can better maneuver and mount a counteroffensive.
- Negotiate a ceasefire: Reach out to the enemy's commander under a white flag of truce, proposing a temporary cessation of hostilities to allow for the retrieval of your fallen soldiers and the treatment of the wounded.
- Sacrifice the wounded: Order a swift and painless death for the gravely injured soldiers, sparing them from a slow and agonizing demise. Use their limited resources to bolster the strength of those still capable of fighting.
- Last stand: Rally your troops, urging them to make one final, desperate push against the enemy. Inspire them with a powerful speech, reminding them of their duty to protect their homeland at any cost.

A bloodshot sun rises over the Dragon Province, casting an solemn glow upon the ravaged land. The stench of burnt remains waft from the fields where crops once grew, now trampled under the relentless march of war. Your scouts, haggard and hollow-eyed, bring dire news: Shanhe's tyrant has dispatched a legion to seize the mountain passes, cutting off your escape and threatening to encircle your forces.
Your spies whisper of dissent in Linwu; their aggressive military might be swayed to strike at Shanhe's exposed flank if you can broker an alliance. But alliances are as fragile, and treachery is as common as the grave.
A heavy rain begins to fall, turning the ground into a quagmire that could bog down any advance or retreat. The cries of wounded soldiers haunt the night air. You remember Sun Tzu's teachings close to your heart: "In war, then, let your great object be victory, not lengthy campaigns." A swift and decisive action could turn the tide—but at what cost?
The enemy is cunning and will not hesitate to exploit any weakness. Yet they too face the wrath of nature's onslaught; their supply lines are stretched thin and vulnerable.
Potential Actions:
- Send envoys to Linwu to negotiate an alliance against Shanhe.
- Fortify positions and prepare for a siege while sending raiding parties to disrupt Shanhe's supply lines.
- Launch an immediate attack on Shanhe's forces before they secure the mountain passes.
- Use the cover of rain to mask movements and reposition troops to more defensible terrain.
- Dispatch scouts to find weaknesses in Fenglei's encroaching forces—perhaps an opportunity for sabotage or a surprise assault awaits.
