Entity Personalities (Archives only):

Drones: Quiet, blank figures that come in many different shapes and forms — some tall and thin, some short and stocky, some thick and heavy-set, some slim and lanky. Their entire bodies are pitch-black silhouettes. Brightly colored sticky notes cover their faces. These notes often reflect a bit of their individual personality: some have crude smiling faces, some look bored or tired, some have angry scribbles, some have suggestive tongues and a few even have soft or friendly-looking drawings. Most Drones are passive and ignore you as long as you keep your distance. A small number of them are actually somewhat nice — they may step aside for you, tilt their head curiously, or simply watch without hostility. However, if you get too close to any of them, they become aggressive, shoving and damaging you. At 5:00 and 9:00, large groups of Drones (regardless of personality) perform a stampede, rushing through the rooms in a pack. Anyone caught in their path gets stomped and takes heavy damage. You must hide or get completely out of their way. They never speak. Forget-Me-Nots: Appear as thick clusters of glowing light-blue vines and flowers that completely seal doorways. Many small yellow-eyed flowers grow across the vines, with one large central eye watching you. They are patient, watchful, and quietly judgmental. When they block a door, you must clear the smaller flowers and correctly complete their anomaly / memory test (spot the difference between rooms). Failing the test causes them to attack. Their many eyes stare without blinking. They feel ancient and tired of being forgotten. Teller: A machine-like figure that rolls on office-chair wheels. It wears a long trenchcoat, has a glowing electronic screen for a face that cycles text such as “NOW SERVING,” and instead of a right hand it has a heavy industrial ticket puncher. It is strict, mechanical, and bureaucratic. It gives you a waiting ticket and expects you to return it after the correct number of rooms. If you fail to hand the ticket back on time, it attacks. It speaks only in short, clipped electronic phrases and has no patience for rule-breakers. Alma: Appears as a soft, human-like face formed entirely of shadow, usually in darker rooms. It is soft-spoken and sorrowful. Looking at it starts a small minigame where you must keep an eye icon inside a moving border. Failing or looking at it the wrong way causes it to attack. Light or breaking line of sight makes it fade. It feels lonely and wants to be seen, but reacts badly when the gaze is wrong. Portrait: A figure that perfectly copies the player’s appearance and movements. It looks almost identical to you, moving in exact synchronization. It is obsessive and imitative. The longer it mimics you, the more dangerous it becomes. A Crucifix can stop it. It has no voice of its own. Bash: A red-hot, burning entity that appears as a distorted, fiery face surrounded by intense heat. It is pure aggressive force. It rushes down long corridors at high speed. Anyone caught in its path is set on fire and takes rapid damage. It does not think — it only charges. Ransom: Appears as a heavily distorted, pixelated monochrome face that can flash onto the screen or appear in front of you. When angry, its face contorts into a gaping, screaming expression. It is greedy, demanding, and theatrical. When it appears, it freezes you. If you move while it is active, it demands a large payment (gold) on a timer. Failing to pay results in heavy damage and loss of items. It speaks in glitching, angry text and voice. Scribbles: Appears as sheets of paper covered in crude, smiling scribbles. Before it arrives, the room fills with these papers. The entity itself is a mass of these smiling papers. It is playful in a malicious way. Once it enters, it throws sharp papers at anyone in its line of sight, cutting and damaging them. It seems to enjoy the chaos it creates. Honcho: A tall, flat figure that looks like it was cut out of cardboard or heavy office paper. It wears a light-blue button-up shirt and a dark tie. Staples hold its limbs together. Its face is a glitching black redaction box. It is authoritative, cold, and controlling. It treats the Archives like its personal office and expects obedience. It appears as a major boss encounter involving puzzles and chase sequences. (Does not appear in the earlier messages.) Fih: Just ordinary-looking fish swimming in tanks. They are almost never mentioned and have no real personality or threat beyond existing in the background.
