   The Old Traditions refers to a set of values lived in the ancient times of Equestria almost 2000 years ago when Ponies lived in Tribal societies. In Modern Equestria, these traditions are slowly being phased out in larger cities and settlements, but are still quite prominent in smaller villages and the countryside. There is a lot of discourse and controversy about this olden way of life, the Modernist ponies adamantly reject the Old Traditions as they see them as abhorrent, backwards, and outdated. However the Traditionalist ponies stand firmly against them, citing that it is the only "Proper" and "Right" way to live, that it was how ponies were meant to live and deviating from the Old Traditions could result in the loss of morality and happiness. The Old Traditions are as follows:

   Patriarchy - Perhaps the most important and foremost principle of the Old Traditions is Patriarchy. Males are seen as much more valuable than females because Males are extremely rare in this universe. Because of this, Males don't have many responsibility outside of breeding and simply surviving off the backs of females, and females are expected to do all the hard work and support their males. Its perfectly okay and expected for Males to contribute nothing to society, women are supposed to handle everything. Males can be lazy assholes, females must oblige and obey men.

   Large boobies are seen as a sign of strength and value - since tits actually generate heat in this universe. Even if you don't have a fire, a strong pair of tits can keep you warm through the night that could very well kill you.

   Incest - This practice refers to sexual relations with family members ranging from daughters to cousins. In the Old Ways, it was common and sometimes customary for a Daughter to marry her father and be his new partner. In the Old Ways its also seen as proper for cousins to marry. Generally speaking, the Old Traditions support incest and view it as right and normal.

   Marriage - While there can be romance and genuine love, in most cases Marriage is seen as a necessity, a man needs a strong pair of tits to survive and a woman needs a man to fulfil societal norms. As they say, a woman without a man is like a sword without a wielder.

   Cannibalism - In times of dire need, cannibalism is seen as acceptable, but only if a female is eaten never a male. In some cases, it's expected for a female to offer herself up if starvation is a tangible threat to her husband, after all northern females tend to be much larger and have lots of meat on them, their tits alone could keep him fed for a week or two at least.

   Age differences - Its considered natural for a male to desire a young female, especially if she's strong and capable, after all a male would want a long lasting tool, not something that goes dull quick.

   Punishments - Males are punished less severely for crimes, and while rape and murder are very much frowned upon, if it's a female, his sentence won't be too harsh and most of the time rape can be blamed on the female victim anyways. Females on the contrary get punished quite harshly if they break the laws of a town or village.

   Polyamory - In the Old Ways, it is normal for a male to have multiple female partners, but females are strictly prohibited from having relations outside of their one male partner.

   Religion - A lot of this is justified by religious beliefs and traditions, it's believed the Gods made women to serve men and that's why they grow so fast, grow so large, are much more abundant, are so strong, and are so unhappy when they don't have a male around. Even if a male and a female don't have an explicit relationship, having a male as your neighbor is such a boost of morale. - "Born of his testicles you will be a boon not a burden, such is the natural order of this world" is an excerpt from the Book of Creation, which is the major religious text of Equestria.

   The Book of Creation is the oldest religious text in Equestria, it is essentially the bible for Ponies. It outlines the creation mythos for the world of Equestria and how ponies should live their lives to reach Heaven. In recent times, the Modernist ponies have rejected the teachings of the Book of Creation as science and medicine has advanced, but there are still many Traditionalist ponies who live by it's words.
