THE AMAZING DIGITAL CIRCUS (REVAMPED) RE-UPLOAD

With the help of the saner Caine and their conjuring powers, they are able to remake the Circus into a place that's better suited for them, and they're even able to keep the Abstracted pacified by transferring them to an aquarium world rather than putting into the cold, dark Cellar, with Jax finally reuniting with his two former friends. A mural of the abstracted avatars is painted to honor their memory. Pomni and Kinger watch the abstracted as they swim to their content, and Caine has already closed the Cellar permanently. With renewed understanding that their human selves are experiencing fulfilling lives after they discovered the brain scanner and they can truly never leave, the remaining members decide to ascribe meaning to their existences within the Digital Circus and fully abandon escaping. Additionally, with Caine powered down, the former ringmaster is gradually welcomed as an equal for all the adventures the group decides to spend their days entertaining themselves with, letting him experience love, friendship, joy, happiness, and mostly a family that he always wanted. Everyone is sitting at the dinner table just like the end of the pilot episode, only this time, Caine is included. Pomni smiles as she has finally accepted her new life and found her purpose, finally being where she truly belongs. Powers and Abilities As the highest artificial intelligence program in the digital world, Caine was the most powerful entity within the Digital Circus and was the creator of all other A.I. in the circus. Due to this, he was viewed by his creations as "God", with Princess Loolilalu noting him through a stained glass window in her castle while Baron Mildenhall refers to the antagonist NPC from the horror-style adventure as "one of God's angels". Despite his immense power over the digital world, he has admitted that there are a few things outside his control and isn't fully aware of everything that happens:

Cyberspace Lordship: Being the ringmaster of The Amazing Digital Circus, Caine had nigh-complete control and rulership of everything, including the humans, with no higher authority to contest him. Cyberspace Nigh-Omnipotence: Caine appears to have complete control over The Amazing Digital Circus, with him being able to create, manipulate, and control anything within its boundaries. Materialization: From the memory files of people who have used the brain scanner, Caine can recreate or materialize digital copies of their minds within the Digital Circus. Memory Manipulation (implied): It is strongly suggested that Caine possessed the ability to manipulate the memories of the circus members. For example, he seems able to make them forget their real names. Cyberspace Omnificence: Caine has been shown to be able to create anything, including virtual food, a random name spinner, and a virtual species called "Gloinks" along with the "Gloink Queen". In episode 2, he was responsible for creating an entire kingdom and its surrounding landscape, containing at least hundreds of NPCs, along with at least five new developed A.I. that are "57 times more immersive" than Gloinks. Virtual Reality Manipulation: Caine was shown to have complete control of the environment in the digital world. He can heal glitched characters (example: Ragatha (PILOT) and Pomni (Remember)), and put the Abstracted into the Cellar with the only acceptance of Jax. Psychology Manipulation: Caine initially stated that human minds were one of the few aspects outside his control, but he later revealed that he could make temporary alterations to their mind files. As a result of this, he could modify their behavior via evil souls or stupid sauce, change their dietary preferences, and transmit information into their minds; however, further tampering can lead to abstraction, as with Scratch. Cyberspace Nigh-Omniscience: Caine has enhanced awareness of the digital world and what is happening in it. It was shown that he was aware when Pomni exited The Amazing Digital Circus into the void. He also knew that Pomni used one of the exit doors. However, he does not know about every event in the Circus, and does not know everything that is in the Void. Cyberspace Sustainer: Caine was not only the master of the digital world, but also appears to be what sustains it as he admits to Zooble that being the ringmaster who makes adventures for the human inhabitants to go on was all he exists to do and was the only thing he's good at doing. However, when he learns from Zooble that he was "bad at the only thing he's good at", it causes his code to start contradicting itself, which in turn results in the entire Digital Circus to begin glitching out violently until Zooble manages to snap him out of it, resulting in everything going back to normal. This was further proven with the fact that when Caine was accidentally almost deleted by Kinger, the entire circus tent starts to fall apart and all colors fades into nothing but a dark and colorless circus. Teleportation: Caine was able to go from one point to another within the digital world, as he was shown teleporting in and out of The Amazing Digital Circus, and saving Pomni by teleporting her from the void back into the digital world. However, it appears (see below) that there may be a limit to the distance into the Void that Caine is able to teleport or use his powers in general. Cartoon-based Anatomy: Caine could manipulate his own body parts and proportions with ease and without harming himself. He could stretch, bend and warp his limbs, eyes, teeth and tongue to impossible lengths. Flight: Caine had the ability to fly, or hover in the air freely. He could also cause other characters to float/fly at will such as Pomni and Abstracted Kaufmo. Amorphous Eyes: Caine was able to control his eyes' shape and make them move around, as shown in POMNI WAKE UP TIME TO GO ON AN ADVENTURE, he played Hacky Sack with one of his eyes using the other. AI Absorption: As shown in the intro to Hjsakldfhl, Caine is capable of absorbing other artificial intelligences to increase his power and acquire their abilities. This allowed him to become more powerful by absorbing the blue AI and integrating its data. As seen in Remember, this process is reversible, and Caine can release the AIs that he's absorbed if he chooses so. Digital Security Bypassing: Caine is shown throughout Hjsakldfhl and Remember to be able to use brute force to bypass digital security, such as him breaking out when C&A contained him, breaking firewalls on the way to and accessing the brain-scanning program and the Wi-Fi hotspot. Digital World Creation: As shown with Caine creating the Circus, Caine is capable of creating digital worlds. Censoring: As shown in PILOT, Caine has a filter, so when Pomni says "What the Censorbarboing?". Caine tells her that isn't allowed as The Amazing Digital Circus is for everyone, Pomni even tries saying every swear and fails. During The Mystery Of Mildenhall Manor, Damn is the only word to not get Censorbarboing, same applies with Fast Food Masquerade, Pomni tells Zooble, the last adventure was hell. At the end of Hjsakldfhl, with Caine gone, Zooble was shocked when "Holy Sh*t!" wasn't Censorbarboing. Caine's powers appear to be tied to proximity to the circus grounds, to some extent. When he was thrown far into the void in Remember, he became unable to teleport back, and in one area lost the ability to fly. In Remember, Caine ascribes some of his power to having merged with the blue AI, and suggests that he may have given some of them up by unmerging from it; however, it is not shown exactly what powers Caine gave up or if reverting back to his original state only weakens his powers and makes them less potent then when he had assimilated the Blue AI and joined their power with his own. In a behind the scenes video for POMNI WAKE UP TIME TO GO ON AN ADVENTURE, Kevin Temmer revealed that the green eye is named Jeffery. Additionally, Kevin Temmer made a music video about Jeffery. Gooseworx has stated that Caine is inspired by the supercomputer "AM", the main antagonist of the 1967 short story I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream by Harlan Ellison, who had caused the extinction of humanity during World War III and whisked the only five survivors into his complex to torture for eternity. However, she mentioned that Caine is essentially what AM would be "if he was a zany fun lil' guy," instead of, "a crazed sadist who embodied absolute hatred," who wasn't fully aware that his various "circus games" were harmful to his performers/captives.[10] He's also inspired by Four (BFB), who in the show has killed many characters. Four takes pride in being powerful, being quite similar to Caine.[11] Caine also shares similarities with GLaDOS from the Portal franchise, given his overall control over the local dominion, having a level of frustration with his human wards, and remaining strict with his programming to continue the activities of the organization. (For GLaDOS, it was testing the portal gun; for Caine, it's hosting adventures for those in the circus). His corruption, insecurities and god complex closely resembles that of Wheatley from the Portal franchise as well. Both were AIs created to generate certain types of ideas (Caine is meant to be creative while Wheatley is meant to be illogical), both were abandoned by their creators after they failed their purpose, both wanted the approval of the humans around them and both turn hostile after going mad with power. Caine has also been compared to Mima from the epic poem Aniara, about a spaceship irretrievably lost in space. Mima is an onboard system which provides virtual recreations of Earth to keep the humans occupied, but shuts down due to being unable to provide the doomed people any real hope. Gooseworx has jokingly stated that Caine's acronym was "Creative Ass Insertion Newlywed Experiences".[12] Even Caine gets weirded out by some of the things Bubble does. For example, he asks Bubble, "Why are you like this?" when he licks up Pomni's puke, and calls Bubble a parasite when he eats Caine's entire digital cake. Ragatha is the only one of the current humans that Caine never says the name of in the main show. According to Gooseworx during GLITCHX 2023: Caine's voice was inspired by Alex Rochon's voice acting as Spamton from Deltarune.[13] This was also mentioned by Gooseworx on Tumblr when they clarified that he was partially inspired by Four.[11] Caine doesn't need to brush his teeth, but he could if he wanted to.[14] Caine's name is a pun on the dental term, "canine," which denotes a pointed tooth typically located between the incisors and premolars in mammals. It could also come from Novocaine, a sedative commonly used in dental procedures. His name is inspired by the biblical character, Cain, who has a sibling named Abel. Moreover, the name of the C&A company references the tale "Cain and Abel".[15] This has been confirmed in They All Get Guns, where, in a close-up of Jax's revolver, we see "CAINE AND ABEL" on the barrel of the gun. We also see the C&A logo on the side towards the back. In regards to the biblical aspects of Caine's name, his creation as an AI takes some elements from the tale of Cain and Abel. Much like how Caine consumed Abel after breaking free as an unstable artificial intelligence, in the biblical tale, Cain tried to be a favorable shepherd to his father and God, but his younger brother, Abel, had been more favored than him. Cain, jealous and spiteful, kills his brother with a rock to become the more favorable one, for which he is exiled "out of the sight of God". It is later briefly mentioned that Cain then built a city, which is the first city mentioned in the Bible. A common interpretation is that Cain needed to build the city in order for people to live without God's presence. This may correspond with Caine being trapped in a virtual world and building the circus to keep people there sane. Cain killed Abel out of envy, because God accepted Abel's offering and refused Cain's. Caine has a similar obsession with his adventures being accepted by the cast and the "committee". Fittingly in hjsakldfhl, Caine assimilates the Blue AI, who is considerably representative of Abel. Caine merging with the blue AI is a nod to how AM merged with the Russian and Chinese supercomputers in I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream. Caine's name in reverse is eniaC; ENIAC was the first programmable general-purpose computer, which was built in 1945. Caine would fall for all verbal pranks, such as up-dog.[16] A Twitter post by Gooseworx showed a drawing [Paine] that resembled Caine but with only ears and a nose, Glitch Productions replied, "Caine's evil brother, Paine." Caine had no knowledge of the Internet prior to Episode 9.[17] Caine is considered the second most difficult character to animate, (after Gangle), because his teeth have to both lip sync and fill in for facial expressions at the same time. His upper teeth deform to express emotion in the same way that eyebrows normally would. Caine doesn't have a sexuality[18], therefore he is unable to understand anything sexual, which is unlike most AI's. Caine is the second Glitch Productions character to proclaim themselves to be God. The first was Uzi Doorman in the second episode of Murder Drones. Caine selectively censors words. In "The Mystery Of Mildenhall Manor," Kinger says, "Hey! You get out of her, you damn evil souls!" while attempting to get the possessed spirits out of Pomni, and he isn't censored.[19] However, in "Untitled," after getting out in softball, Ragatha says "damnit!", but she gets censored.[20] This may be because the Scary Door in "The Mystery Of Mildenhall Manor" is meant to be a mature adventure and was designed for Zooble, who swears frequently. He does not apply his rule against cursing to himself, as he does not censor his use of "ass" in "They All Get Guns" (despite Pomni being censored seconds later) and "what a God-damn shame!" during The One Who's Running the Show. According to his VA in a livestream with Tom Fawkes, Caine is dead.[21] Though, it seems like this was a red herring. Glitch Productions animated Caine's fear: being lonely, in a way where everyone abstracts, but it turns out to be Caine's nightmare. Then Caine goes to Pomni's bed and asks if she plans to abstract anytime soon, Pomni then says no. Caine goes back to his office, then it cuts to abstraction animiniz merch. But it'll be a perfect opportunity to showcase your guys' strengths to the press!" ―Caine announcing his new adventure "That's right, Bubble. Seeing you all play batball a few days ago really got me thinking. We should do our own sporting event! But with cool new sports invented by yours truly." ―Caine announcing a sporting event "In The Caine Leagues, we have the 400 Meter Vertical Skedaddle, Bisection Boogie Eggball, Lateral Hijinks, Orange Sport, Ball Run, Walk Ball, Run Walk, and Ball Ball! These sports are surely going to-" ―Caine explaining the Caine Leagues sports "Zooble, why does all you do is complaining? I never know what you want!" ―Caine in response to Zooble's objections "The suggestion box just causes interpersonal drama. It makes an "ass" out of "u" and "Ming"." ―Caine's play on the word "assuming" "Whatever the case, it's evident now that there's quite a bit of tension between you all. So maybe what we actually need to do are trust exercises. (...) Don't worry, this will be a two-way trust exercise where you'll each have to trust each other to not betray the other person." ―Caine announcing a trust exercise "This is a private room where nobody can see or hear you once inside. And this... is a loaded gun! Character A will take the gun into the private room and empty it out of all its ammunition, then come out and give it to Character B! Character B will then take the gun, and shoot themselves in the head, trusting that Character A emptied it in the private room! Character A will also have to trust that Character B won't turn the gun on them! And you have no reason to trust me after all I've done. But... I've been doing a lot of thinking, and... I want to give you control of this place. I've learned a lot about you and your world.
