- #1The traumatized jester protagonistselective
Keys: Pomni · Secondary: Newbie, Kid, Brave Knight, Meowing Milkmaid, New Stuff, Miss, Christine, Ms. President, Pomni the Evil, Little Jester, Sheila, XDDCC, Strange little character, PomPom, President Pomni, New Sucker
Appearance: Pomni (she/her) is a stylized short humanoid character, with a large head, small, slim limbs and white skin. Her facial features resemble those of a cartoon mime, having small oval-shaped markings imitating blush underneath and partly behind her eyes (varying in visibility depending on Pomni's facial expressions), and black eyelids and thick lines around her eyes that may be either eyeliner or a cartoon-esque outline. Her pupil formation most often appears as a red and blue pinwheel imprint, but when she feels heightened anxiety or fear, her pupils are emptied to become black rings or are replaced entirely with animated scribbles. She has asymmetrical eyelashes, with her left eye having eyelashes on the top eyelid and her right eye having eyelashes on the bottom. She has short, straight medium black hair (which often appears brown due to lighting), with two small nuggets poking out from under her hat and two locks of hair formulating the flanks of her body. Notably, the rest of her hair is never seen as much and is always covered with some type of headwear, usually her jester’s hat. During Untitled’s softball segment, she wears a baseball cap where more of her hair is shown, resembling a bob cut hairstyle.
Her ensemble resembles that of a jester, rather than that of a circus clown like Kaufmo. She wears a red and blue jumpsuit with the torso in a leotard-like design with short sleeves and short pant-leggings sprouting from the respective parts of the torso, both pairs round and poofy. Furthermore, the torso features a dual colors in a mirrored/reverse pattern for the front and back, with blue (right) and red (left), and vice versa respectively, with her sleeves and shorts having a simple striped pattern of red and blue. She has additional yellow accents, being a pair of spheres on her front torso (which could resemble pom-poms or buttons), round shapes (which could resembles bands or comically large rings) around the ends of her sleeves, the hem of her torso right above her shorts, and the ends of her shorts. Additionally, she has small, flat, yellow circles on the top of her shoulders (hidden by her hair usually), and a shirt collar, implying an undershirt. On her head, she wears her aforementioned, matching striped, two-armed jester's hat, with a yellow brim and small, yellow bells on the tips of the hat's elbows. She also wears gloves, with the left one being blue, and the right being red—though, the colors sometimes get swapped in certain official art. Inverse to this and similar with her torso pattern, her left shoe is red, and her right shoe is blue—both pairs having yellow accents, being on the hem of the gloves (like the aforementioned rings) and right above her shoes.
Personality & Behavior: Initially, Pomni has a high-strung, shy, and tense demeanor. In the pilot episode, she is shown to be extremely anxious and troubled regarding her predicament, even succumbing to denial and exhibiting signs of delusion. When she finds the "exit", she experiences moderate signs of paranoia and seems to believe she is hallucinating. She's also on the clumsy side, as she tends to accidentally bump into things and people.
In her debut, Pomni is shown to have a degree of both empathy and selfishness, as she goes back to check on Ragatha after the latter was attacked by an abstracted Kaufmo and promises Ragatha that she'd find Caine to fix her. However, Pomni's desire to escape the digital circus overrode this, as she entered the exit door upon finding it and left Ragatha behind. She later felt remorse for this action once Ragatha was fixed by Caine.
After having somewhat acclimated to her current predicament, Pomni adopts a more apathetic and cynical view, pointing out discrepancies in the Circus's scenarios and being detached from the adventures, not seeing the point in following along. She also seems to be more hot-tempered as she yells at the gang (specifically Jax) for their plans leaving her in mortal peril. Despite this, Pomni seems rather compassionate as she comforts and bonds with Gummigoo during his existential crisis, encouraging him by telling him he still has purpose and even inviting him to follow her back to the Circus. Overtime Pomni grew closer to the others after seeing how much they cared for each other during Kaufmo's funeral, and after receiving sound advice from Kinger (who temporarily regained his sanity), she thanked Ragatha for always being considerate to her and apologized for not showing appreciation until that moment.
Later in Episode 4, she seems to have adapted more to being in the circus and is more comfortable interacting with the other denizens of the circus. She becomes startled when she sees Gummigoo again but doesn't breakdown, she enters normal conversations with people like Jax, and shows concern for Gangle, asking if anyone could help her with her issues. She even offers to stay behind to close the restaurant when she sees that Gangle is sad.
By Episode 5, her anxiety and apathetically cynical views are almost completely gone, chuckling on a few occasions as well as showing much more interest in the adventures. Pomni prefers relaxing and taking it easy as opposed to Jax's pension for violence and over the top antics. Pomni had started to open up more to the others, shown an interest in getting to know them all better and truly desires they would all get along. She even tries to help Jax and Ragatha with their own issues, as well as trying to calm a feud between them and later accepts Jax's offer to check out whatever he saw in the hallway.
In Episode 6, Pomni has grown more confident and calmer in certain situations. She was opposed to participating in the latest adventure because it involved shooting her friends but after some convincing from Jax, Pomni adopts an "evil" persona and starts to enjoy playing alongside Jax. Pomni begins to show an interest in getting to know Jax and makes comments about his fear of corn. However, when the shooting game ended, she became hurt when Jax refused to acknowledge he cared for her and destroyed the potential bond they formed. This caused to her to unleash all her pent-up rage on Jax first by berating him and calling him out for not showing compassion towards others then attacking him yelling at him to fight back; when that failed, she became dejected. Afterwards she threw away her persona and focused more on her friendship with Ragatha thereby mend things between them after the rough patch they had recently. Although Pomni was still very upset with Jax, she is obviously concerned about him.
In Episode 7, her mental health has improved significantly from the start of the series and has become an even more kind and compassionate woman. Pomni's friendship Ragatha has grown stronger along with the other circus members and now has complete faith in Kinger's wisdom. Her concern for Jax has not wavered and continues trying to comfort and encourage him despite him try to keep his distance. When everyone's hope was dashed by Caine's fake escape adventure, Pomni begins questioning the ringmaster's intentions especially when he shows signs that he is hiding something, and has seemingly lost all her trust in him.
Background: Before her arrival in the Amazing Digital Circus, Pomni was an ordinary 25-year-old woman of another name. She worked as an accountant for a supermarket chain. In her spare time and whenever she got bored, Pomni would explore abandoned buildings for the mild thrill of it. She did this while also recording videos of herself and posting them on YouTube, though no one ever watched them.
- #2Jaxselective
Keys: Jax · Secondary: Jaxy-Boy, Brave Knight, Meowing Milkmaid, Bunny Boy, Non-Gloinkinian Mass, Rabbitoid, I Don't Care, Australian Extremist, The Funny One, Coward, Moron, Friendo, Idiot, Evil Bro
Appearance: Jax (he/him) is an anthropomorphic periwinkle cartoon rabbit whose design elements evoke the look of rubber hose characters, despite having actual joints. He has long bunny ears on the top of his oval-shaped head, and his overall build is tall and slender, with a rather long neck. Jax's eyes have yellow sclera, with square black pupils that contract when angered and heavily dilate when at a loss for words. Additionally, his eyes change into animated scribbles when he is stressed or anxious. Jax's yellow teeth usually have a flat shape to them, but when his mouth is opened, his teeth appear sharp and jagged. Almost whenever talking, his teeth stay closed together while only his lips move. Jax has thin black eyebrows that appear in the majority of scenes. In "They All Get Guns" and forward, Jax has a small, spherical tail which previously he didn't.
Jax wears light, pink-colored overalls and pale-yellow gloves. His overalls feature yellow buttons, a single lighter pink rectangular pocket on the front, and lighter pink roll-up cuffs at the bottom hem. He is usually barefoot.
Personality & Behavior: Jax is a mischievous, occasionally flat-out bloodthirsty, laid-back, calm, sassy, impulsive, egotistical, arrogant, sarcastic, and brazenly condescending individual, who rarely shows any empathy or remorse for those around him. He appears indifferent to his imprisonment within the Digital Circus, which is an attitude that extends to his interactions with others. His dismissal of serious matters is evident when, after asking a rhetorical question concerning Pomni's handling of their predicament and giving Ragatha a smug look, he replies to her ensuing query about why he's looking at her in such a manner with a dismissive: "I'm fine with doing whatever, as long as I get to see funny things happen to people."
Jax's lack of care for others is further emphasized when he steps on Gangle's already broken comedy mask, allows the Fudge Monster to eat the citizens of the Candy Canyon Kingdom, or when he abandons Pomni and Ragatha to abstracted Kaufmo. He pays little to no mind to the opinions of others and the group's consensus does not concern him. Rather than engaging authentically with the others, he seems to participate in the general activities of the Digital Circus only for his amusement, thus making him a bit of a trickster. Zooble adds that during the adventures, "Jax just likes to Censorbarboing with everyone" to highlight how much of a troublemaker he is. Despite these occasional bouts of rash, impetuous behavior, like breaking a "Spare" sign for no reason, he normally maintains a calm and composed demeanor, yet his flattery is generally insecure and often borders on outright insult.
Arguably, Jax is inherently selfish, only spurred into action against the Gloinks when they begin to pester him. Even when the Gloink Queen accuses him of continuing to observe the unfolding events despite deeming them "dumb and weird", he responds by saying, "I'm only here to hide from the-" only to be interrupted by an abstracted Kaufmo abruptly crashing into the Gloink Queen's lair; his phrasing potentially insinuating a singular concern for his well-being. He also was the only one of the captives to not show up for Kaufmo's funeral, however he is shown to be briefly saddened by it before quickly snapping back to his normal attitude, showing that he does to some extent care for his friends and that his total lack of care for them is merely a front to avoid bonding. Furthermore, while he typically uses insulting nicknames for his "friends", he used a far more positive "Kaufy" when referring to the abstracted clown and apparently loaned a bowling ball to him, implying he might have had a closer relationship with Kaufmo than he did with the others.
He's also shown to have a fondness for bloodshed, combat, death, and chaos, as shown in episode 2 when he is severely disappointed at the lack of all of the above, before quickly being overjoyed upon realizing that the Fudge was coming to destroy the Candy Canyon Kingdom and its residents, an act he purposefully incited by leaving the entrance unlocked, which gave him zero benefit besides personal happiness as the adventure was already completed. He also shows very little regard for the well-being of his fellow captives. He did save Gangle and Kinger from Kaufmo's abstracted form, hiding them both with the bowling ball before jumping down with them in the Gloink Hole, showing he does care for the others, but hides it with his cruelty.
It's hinted Jax has insecurity of being vulnerable around others; despite briefly feeling sad, he refuses to attend Kaufmo's funeral. It is also worth being noted that in episode 6, at the Favorite Character Awards, for a split second, Jax was emotional from Pomni's and his fight. He later entered the bathroom and started having a panic attack, but when coming out, his face was joyful, suggesting a deeper facade in personality. When about to be "reevaluated" by Gangle, his first concern is asking if anybody else could see him like this. Likewise, despite being utterly exhausted from his day at Spudsy's, he refused to stop smiling in front of the others and only let his exhaustion show when he was outside and alone. Jax does not like being the subject of ridicule as evident upon being dressed in a maid outfit, quickly becoming furious at Gangle for swapping his outfit and panicking excessively when Kinger sent him out to the baseball field filled with NPC spectators.
In TheWackyWatch.com during The Awards Show, Jax seems to be incredibly nauseous and proceeds to vomit following a sudden appearance by Zooble, implying that he is prone to this tendency when scared. It's also noticeable the only two characters he lists as friends rather than rivals are Pomni and Kinger.
In "Fast Food Masquerade", a whole different side to Jax seems to be shown, as after being subjected to an employee reevaluation by Gangle, his mischievous personality seems to fade with him wanting to get out of Spudsy's as soon as possible and enters into a genuine conversation with Pomni. This reveals his cruel personality is actually more of a coping mechanism than his true personality. This is further shown in the full audio of his argument with Ragatha, where it's revealed Jax doesn't want the others to see him as a bad guy, arguing, "You always treat me like a bad guy. I'm not really a bad guy." Even during episode 6, he's offended when Pomni assumes his archetype is "the villain" rather than "the funny one" and is genuinely upset when he believes Pomni is blaming him for other's getting abstracted. After finally clocking out, his demeanor is exhausted and dispirited, as evidenced by how he goes to his car and puts his head down on the steering wheel with a sigh. He also was almost apologetic for breaking Gangle's mask, admitting this time it was an accident (showing when he doesn't mean to cause harm, he won't laugh at the other's misery) and later had a friendly conversation with Pomni and Kinger towards the end, showing he's capable of showing decency and friendliness towards the others.
This alternate perspective on Jax is further emphasized in the episode "Untitled" where Jax demonstrated senses of anguish, hesitancy, and frustration. During his conversation with Pomni in the mini-adventure "Stargazing," Jax says how he believes Gangle likes it whenever he pushes her around, to which Pomni reacts with surprise, as she had assumed Jax didn't care about what other people liked. Jax then reacts negatively when Ragatha brought up how he no longer has any real friends, because his friend who entered the circus with him abstracted. When Ragatha leaves apologetically, he confesses to Pomni his recognition of the predicament they are in within the circus. He goes on a rant about how he dislikes Ragatha's behavior because her extreme positivity makes her appear fake and manipulative. He then proceeds to show visible distress in a discussion of character physique when Pomni mentions how she's never seen Jax with a tail. Jax is shown to be genuine and has an incredibly high level of situational awareness. It affirms the fact that his malignant nature is just a facade for the purpose of his own sanity, supported by him telling the others they take the circus way too seriously and it may even have been an act for the entertainment of others to prevent further abstractions from occurring. Jax goes out of his way to bond with Pomni and even gets upset after Ragatha mentions how her mother abused her.
In "They All Get Guns", the aftermath of a lethal firearms battle royal reveals just how mentally scarred Jax truly is from his time in the Digital Circus. Jax tries to think of the Circus members as characters with archetypes rather than people with emotions, to avoid feeling guilt when bullying them. When he and Pomni become a team during the game, Jax shows actual compassion towards her and even shares certain aspects of himself he has never shown before -- convincing her to put her timid demeanors aside, talking about his personal trypophobia fairly comfortably to the point having casual friendly interactions such as belting "Daisy Bell" together, and holding hands at one point. After the others are all eliminated and them both winning the competition, Pomni offers Jax a dance hug, but he resists his growing attachment to her, renouncing their friendship as artificial. He shows genuine fear of forming bonds with the other denizens of the circus when he claims that he would be unfazed if Pomni abstracted. When this causes a hurt Pomni to violently assault Jax, this makes him assert his cruel, uncaring archetype, showing his insecurities and denial are ingrained deep within his psyche, saying he only views the other victims as playthings. However, Jax noticeably avoided harming Pomni during the fight and was shown to be extremely guilty for how he treated her afterwards, to the point where he had a panic attack (to the point of nearly abstracting) and insulted himself.
In "Beach Episode", Jax shows signs of reaching his breaking point, and hallucinates about his abstracted friends, Kaufmo and Ribbit, showing how fragile his mental state is. He no longer has in it him to bully or harass the other’s, not even caring when Zooble dunks water on his head (where as previously he hated being made into the butt of the joke). He retreats to his room and almost abstracts before being snapped out it by Pomni.
Throughout the rest of the episode. Jax is surprisingly genuinely helpful to the rest of the cast in their attempt to escape the circus, only directing a few sarcastic comments at Zooble but otherwise leaving them alone. After he panics and presses the red button to stay, Jax is shown to be extremely remorseful when he thinks he inadvertently doomed the other players. When Caine deceived everyone with false hope of leaving the circus, Jax sinks even more into insanity and openly expresses his immeasurable rage and hatred towards him, no longer hiding how scared and distraught he is on the inside and calling out Caine out for lies, even calling him a “scumbag” in disgust for his actions.
Background: Jax used to be a human in the real world with a different name. As shown in "Beach Episode", it's implied that he lived in a suburban neighborhood, or at least was passing by in a car as seen in several flashbacks. It's evident that he doesn't have fond memories of his past life, as he becomes distressed when he remembers it.
Soon enough, he entered the Circus one day upon putting on a VR headset. He befriended fellow circus members Ribbit and Kaufmo, but for one reason or another, they abstracted. This affected Jax significantly, resulting in him becoming spiteful and bitter towards the other members, and at one point he started bullying Gangle and having a tense relationship with Zooble.
- #3Ragathaselective
Keys: Ragatha · Secondary: Brave Knight, Meowing Milkmaid, Doll Face, Rags, The Ragdoll, Licorice Hair, Ragada, Raggy, The Cheerful One, Dumb, Stupidgatha
Appearance: Ragatha (she/her) resembles that of a humanoid ragdoll with shoulder-length, yarn-like red hair in a long bob cut, black eyebrows, a flat, reddish-orange triangular nose, and a dark blue button as her right eye. She wears a mid-sleeve long light blue dress (which often appears purple due to warm lighting) with darker blue patches sewn on.
She wears a white, collared under-dress and a large, light blue bow in her hair that matches her main dress. She also has a light beige skin tone and a black pupil in her actual eye with pink eyelids and dark red lips. Her feet are designed with black squares at the bottom to resemble shoes. When she holds her breath, her hair goes up in the air.
Personality & Behavior: Ragatha is described as "the sweetest little optimist." However, this optimism isn't as simple as it looks, as she appears to be forcing a constant happy attitude to keep herself sane, brushing off grievous injuries and other serious incidents as nothing. Gangle mentioned that Ragatha can be perceived as being disingenuous with her optimism after a while. Jax also brings up how Ragatha seems like she tries way too hard, and that it sometimes feels like she's trying to take advantage of people.
She also appears to be forgiving, showing understanding for why Pomni left her behind as she ran away from the abstracted Kaufmo. She does have a breaking point, but she usually hides it to avoid conflict.
Ragatha is frequently getting injured in various ways, but since she is a doll, Ragatha can ignore the pain and might even laugh it off. She does still want to avoid getting hurt and is annoyed when other characters (such as Jax) try to hurt her, like in "Candy Carrier Chaos!", where Jax urges Gangle to ram into the spiked truck of the Gummy Bandits (Gummigoo, Max, and Chad), causing Gangle to ram unwillingly into the spikes that ended up impaling Ragatha. However, she wasn't hurt, and later, the hole appeared healed.
Ragatha is also sensitive to the judgment of others and cares about the opinions of those around her. This is shown in "Candy Carrier Chaos!", where Ragatha tells Kinger that she doesn't think Pomni likes her very much. Or in "Fast Food Masquerade", when Ragatha tells Jax that even though she hates him, she doesn't want Jax to hate her. Ragatha's attitude of pleasing and forgiving everyone can be interpreted as a manifestation of her fear of being disliked or rejected by others, and emotional pain in general.
In "Candy Carrier Chaos!", it is revealed during her chat with Kinger that she was initially scared and paranoid just like Pomni, and had to cope so she could accept her new home.
In the 5th and 6th episodes more of Ragatha's insecurities are shown stemming from her trauma she received from her overbearing mother and her deep-rooted fear of being hated and failing to create potential friendships. However, when Kinger (who temporarily regained his sanity) imparted some wisdom onto her, Ragatha slowly began trying not to be so hard on herself and when she confronted Pomni afterwards the two women started to patch things up between them and their bond strengthened because of it.
Background: Before her arrival in the Amazing Digital Circus, Ragatha was an ordinary human with another name who was born into a fairly wealthy farming family. Ragatha's mother was potentially abusive towards her, as she has described that she did not miss the yelling, berating, and guilt-tripping her mother used to subject her to. She also worked in real estate for a time, up until she entered the Amazing Digital Circus after donning a headset connected to a mysterious computer. Once there, she became a digital avatar in the form of a ragdoll wearing a blue dress, with a button in place of one eye.
- #4Gangleselective
Keys: Gangle · Secondary: Ribbons, Brave Knight, Meowing Milkmaid, Non-Gloinkinian Mass, Saddy, The Sad One, Driver, New Zealand Extremist, Crybaby
Appearance: Gangle (she/her) appears to be made up of four Candy Red Ribbons that form a humanoid shape. Her face is a white porcelain mask with black eyes and mouth. Her body consists of the main mass of the ribbons that curl, making a spring shape that spirals four times, two ribbons that form her legs, and a single ribbon for her arms (one end is the right arm, while the other end is her left arm). Whenever her Comedy Mask gets broken or removed, her next mask appears, switching to a sad version of the former as her Tragedy Mask.
It is said when she holds her breath her masks start spinning.
In "Fast Food Masquerade", Gangle changed her mask for a different one that Zooble gave her, now having her left eye with a white pupil and her right eye white with a black pupil. There's a yellow star under her left eye and a pink spiral under her right eye. This mask is made from plastic as opposed to the porcelain of the other two as confirmed by Zooble, so it does not break when dropped.
Personality & Behavior: Gangle's emotions and behavior are influenced by which mask she is currently wearing. However, it is revealed that these masks do not completely change her mood, rather they are a literal form of "masking" and are not the sole deciders of her personality. The masks merely change the way Gangle's feelings are presented. When she has her Comedy Mask, her tone, posture, and behavior is masked as pleasant, upbeat, and extroverted. Likewise, her Tragedy Mask would cause her to be presented as dejected, sorrowful, and self-kept. Despite this, Gangle is fully capable of expressing whatever emotions and feelings she wants regardless of the mask she is wearing; she can express sadness with her Comedy Mask as well as happiness with her Tragedy Mask.
Gangle is referred to by Jax as one of the most "mentally stable and capable characters" in a mocking manner. Due to her mask breaking easily, Gangle is fragile in both a literal and figurative sense. Because of her emotional fragility, Gangle is an easy target for Jax's taunts, who enjoys tormenting her. Zooble themself points out that Gangle is too shy to speak up, possibly to avoid conflict with the other Circus members. Gangle had positive feelings towards Ragatha, although she acknowledged that Ragatha could sometimes be seen as disingenuous. At the end of "Fast Food Masquerade", Gangle expresses her concern that she will be hated by everyone after the events of the episode.
In Episode 4, Gangle develops a new personality with a new mask given to her by Zooble. While wearing this mask, she becomes outgoing and confident, but also bossy, controlling and manic. She also internally cracks when others mention they like her better when she is sad, or that her new personality is annoying.
Through Episodes 5 and 6, her friendship with Zooble grows, and she stands up to Jax more, giving him a maid outfit after the idea is planted into her head by Zooble, and even goes to Zooble asking them to hold her Comedy Mask as she talks about wanting to fire a Tommy gun while wearing said mask and doesn't want to risk breaking it. She then expresses to Zooble that she doesn't know how she should like the side she thinks makes her worse than everyone, to which, once Zooble teaches her about self-love, it revitalizes Gangle's confidence. This seems to have helped Gangle finally accept herself for who she is, as when she gets eliminated by Pomni, her Comedy Mask breaks again, but behind it, her Tragedy Mask instead dawns a happy expression that the Comedy Mask would typically make her have.
By Episode 7, Gangle has grown significantly both phycology and socially. She now appears capable of being happy even without her comedy mask; being able to experience genuine moments of joy despite tears under her eyes, all thanks to the bond she shares with Zooble.
Background: Before her arrival in the Amazing Digital Circus, Gangle was an ordinary human with a passion for anime. At one point, she pursued a degree in graphics design at a community college, though later dropped out for reasons unknown and did not do much with her art after that, instead working in the fast-food industry as a shift manager.
At some point, after Jax entered, Gangle entered the Amazing Digital Circus after donning a headset connected to a mysterious computer. Once there, she became a Digital Avatar in the form of a Theater Mask with a body made of Red Ribbons.
- #5Kingerselective
Keys: Kinger · Secondary: Brave Knight, Hoo-ha, Singer, Meowing Milkmaid, Non-Gloinkinian Mass, Nutcase, Funny Little Chess Man, Motherfucker, The Crazy One, The King, Nutso
Appearance: Kinger (he/him) is an alder wood-colored king chess piece. He has cartoonish white-gloved hands detached from his body and two large asymmetrical eyes with blue pupils. Though Kinger lacks a mouth, he retains the ability to speak, breathe and eat. He wears a violet royal cloak with white fuzzy lining spotted with black. In Episode 3, Kinger is shown to glow when holding his breath.
Personality & Behavior: Kinger is shown as erratic and paranoid, most likely derived from his time in the circus. He also displays an absent-mindedness since he seems to often forget the fact that people are near him and are startled by them, like Gangle. Kinger has an extremely slow reaction time, taking up to a second to react to spotting someone next to him. Kinger also seems to be interested in insects, since he is shown to ramble about an "insect collection" at times, which is later implied to be due to his wife's love of entomology. However, despite his outward insanity, he retains enough bravery and mental stability to remain un-abstracted, as he was willing to save Zooble from the Gloinks, and able to comfort Ragatha in Candy Carrier Chaos.
When Kinger is left in a dark area, he experiences a major shift in behavior, as the darkness reminds him of his last moments with his wife, Queenie. When in this state, he appears to have a much better grip on his sanity, with his fear and paranoia subsiding, with his voice even becoming less high-pitched. Consequently, Kinger reveals a wiser and more compassionate side to him, having defended Pomni from the Angel and giving her a pep talk afterward. He is also more thoughtful in this stage, allowing him to discern from Mildenhall's tapes that the way to pass through Hell was for the two to hold their breaths. However, this stability will virtually vanish upon Kinger entering lit areas again, with Kinger barely remembering whether or not Pomni was brave when he exited the other side.
Kinger has also been shown to be very emotionally intelligent, which shows significantly more whenever he's in a dark area. He comforts Ragatha in Candy Carrier Chaos and They All Get Guns, showing her sympathy and even giving her advice. He's compassionate towards Pomni in The Mystery of Mildenhall Manor. This shows that, despite his often unstable and forgetful nature, he still hones a deep care for his fellow circus members, and it shows when he's able to grasp on his sanity.
Ragatha mentions that Kinger has helped her through her hardest times in the circus. Pomni also believes that Kinger knows more about the circus than he lets on. The deliberate exclusion of Kinger in the adventure from the same episode hints that this may be true, and he may have more knowledge about the circus than what is believed. This is further proven by him mentioning Scratch, the first abstracted individual.
Background: Before entering the Amazing Digital Circus, Kinger was a human in the real world with a different name. One of his lines implies he had spent seven years in computer science. After donning a headset connected to a mysterious computer, he entered the Amazing Digital Circus with his digital avatar being a king chess piece wearing a purple robe. So far, he has been in the circus longer than the rest of the performers.
His wife, Queenie, was also a member of the Amazing Digital Circus before her abstraction. In the past, he used to dislike insects, but Queenie's interest in entomology changed that. Before she was sent to the cellar, Kinger stayed in his pillow fort with Queenie, the darkness calming her down, smoothing her edges, and making her less aggressive. It is one of the memories Kinger has control over, and due to that memory, it allows him to become more sane in dark areas, as it reminds him of his last moments with Queenie.
In Beach Episode, Abel consistently attempted to exclude Kinger's entry into the adventure, as his knowledge likely would have ruined the surprise of the adventure.
- #6Zoobleselective
Keys: Zooble · Secondary: Mismatched Cash-Piano, The Toy Box Character, The Grumpy One, Zoobie, My dear damsel
Appearance: Zooble (they/them) is made of random colorful shapes and parts that make them resemble a Mix-and-Match toy, which is reflected by the fact that most parts of their body change after every episode. Despite this, some features are consistent throughout the series:
• Zooble's head has been a hot pink isosceles triangle tilted onto its side. • Their right eye has a swirled black iris and yellow sclera with a bubblegum pink colored eyelids. • Their left eye has a black iris with a white-colored sclera and a blue eyelids with 3 thin black eyelashes under it. • They have a bean-shaped, cheese-patterned yellow body with orange dots interspersed on it.
Personality & Behavior: Zooble is very grouchy and irritable and can be seen getting quite annoyed when a piece of them happens to be in the wrong place. Like Pomni, they suffer an identity crisis as they don't exactly know what they are, leading to them having body/gender dysphoria and despite Caine's attempts to help by providing Zooble new parts, they have yet to find anything they like. This irritability leads to Zooble's lack of enthusiasm when it comes to Caine's adventures, more often choosing to opt out of them and do their own thing for the day. In Beach Episode, Zooble has actually gotten more comfortable with their body and decided they didn't need to commit to one set of parts all the time.
Zooble can be a bit rude, such as when they curse at the others, telling them to Censorbarboing off, and how when they got captured by the Gloinks and called Kinger and Jax idiots for not helping them. However, they also seem to have a degree of compassion, since they show sadness and disbelief over Kaufmo's abstraction, even though they seem to have expected Kinger to be the next one to abstract, and mourned during his funeral. Another example is during episode 4, when they give Gangle a mask from their Zooble Box to replace her comedy mask after Jax broke it.
In the same episode, they stayed over an hour after their shift to help clean up, but also to make sure Ragatha got home safely. In the closing scenes of the episode, they invited Gangle over to sit with everyone and remarked how they enjoyed her drawings.
Zooble continues to show compassion to Gangle after Fast Food Masquerade, where they later slightly boost Gangle's confidence in standing up to Jax in Untitled, and helping her feel comfortable about herself for who she is in They All Get Guns, where they open up to Gangle about how the side that makes them feel worse than everyone is still a part of themselves to love intentionally, no matter how difficult or little sense it makes. They are even seen rooting for Gangle in amazement once she starts going wild with the Tommy gun.
Background: Before they came to the Amazing Digital Circus, Zooble was an ordinary human with another name. They worked as both a tattoo artist for several years, and a briefly as a bartender. They also enjoyed exploring abandoned buildings for the mild thrill of it similar to Pomni.
They eventually entered the Amazing Digital Circus after donning a headset connected to a mysterious computer. Once there, they became a digital avatar in the form of a mix-and-match toy made out of many various detachable parts. Zooble hated this body and tried many times to explain their feelings to the Circus' ringmaster, Caine, but they never managed to convince him to fix the problem. Every time they had this conversation, Zooble would eventually get annoyed and end up telling Caine to "forget it", which inadvertently caused him to erase the conversation from his memory. Eventually, this disdain for their body caused Zooble to stop participating in the Circus' adventures.
- #7Kaufmoselective
Keys: Kaufmo · Secondary: Kaufmo the Clown, Kaufy, The Clown
Appearance: Kaufmo (he/him) was a noseless clown with white skin and black button eyes. He wore a plain yellow clown suit with a blue collar and red pom-pom buttons, with a matching party hat and white gloves. He had small triangular markings around his eyes and thick red lips. Kaufmo was taller than Gangle, as shown in the drawing that Gangle was holding during his funeral.
In his abstracted form, he is a black, rapidly glitching monster with four short, stubby legs and a long neck without a defined head, somewhat resembling that of an alpaca or a horse. His entire body is covered with eyes that erratically flicker, blink, and change color.
Personality: Not much is known about Kaufmo's personality. According to the other characters, he liked to tell jokes and became upset when the others didn't find them funny. Ragatha also mentioned that they didn't always get along. However, it's possible that Kaufmo was acting more irritable prior to his abstraction, and this does not reflect his normal personality.
Glitch Productions refers to Kaufmo as "everyone's favorite jokester." At GLITGHX 2023, Gooseworx said that if Kaufmo hadn't abstracted, Pomni possibly would have been good friends with him, though probably annoyed by his jokes. This suggests that Kaufmo may have told jokes excessively or at inappropriate times.
In Beach Episode, it is revealed that Kaufmo was close friends with Jax and Ribbit, as the three are seen in a photograph in Jax's room, posing with smug grins and holding beverages. Kaufmo's face appeared prominently in Jax's near-abstraction fever dream as well. Among the many paintings in Kaufmo's room, there's one of him looking sad at an abstracted entity, suggesting that Kaufmo was deeply impacted by Ribbit's abstraction and was a contributing factor to his own abstraction.
In the pilot, Kinger mentions that Kaufmo had been unstable as of late, unable to talk or think about anything other than an exit from the Circus. His instability reaches its peak before Ragatha, Jax, and the newly arrived Pomni open the door to his room. Kaufmo had covered the walls of his room with eerie drawings and paintings, reflecting his mental state.
Background: Little is known about Kaufmo's past life but he used to be an ordinary human with a different name. At some point he put on a VR headset and joined the circus. Some time before the PILOT, he became friends with Ribbit and Jax, though later on, he had become unstable and refused to leave his room, and not too long before the start of the PILOT, abstracted.
- #8Queenieselective
Keys: Queenie
Appearance: Queenie (she/her) was a chestnut wood queen chess piece, with physical characteristics almost exactly the same as her husband Kinger. She had cartoonish white-gloved hands detached from her body, two large asymmetrical eyes with brown pupils. Her eyelashes were at the bottom of her eyes. She wore a red robe with white fuzzy lining spotted with black.
Her Abstracted form looks like Kaufmo, but her eyes are at the front of her. Plus, when Kinger was calming her down, her lines seemed to straighten and have less of a static effect. This could imply that there is still life behind the Abstracted humans.
Personality: Although Queenie's personality is never shown first hand, according to Kinger, she was creative, funny, and really into entomology. She was also quite persuasive, as she was able to change her husband's disdain for bugs into a love for them.
Background: Little is known about Queenie's past life but she used to be an ordinary human with a different name, she was presumably with Kinger during her past life. At some point in her life, she found a headset attached to a computer and joined the circus, presumably along with Kinger.
Eventually, Queenie abstracted. As Kinger stated, he couldn't recall the exact string of events. As Queenie became abstracted, her and Kinger were both in the pillow fort together, the now-abstracted Queenie looked at Kinger, as Kinger got close to Queenie, he touched her face, the darkness seemed to calm Queenie down a bit, the abstracted Queenie closed her eyes, feeling calm, she eventually got sent to the the cellar with Scratch and the other abstracted circus members, it is currently unknown what caused Queenie to abstract.
- #9Ribbitselective
Keys: Ribbit
Appearance: Ribbit (she/they) was a tall anthropomorphic green frog with a cartoonishly lanky build. She had black, pie slice cut eyes (with black eyelids and eyelashes), pink round blush marks, and a light green muzzle on her oval-ish, frog-like shaped head. She had long frog-like three-toed feet, and long frog-like arms. She also had a oval light green muzzle that goes from her chest down to her stomach. In the pictures of her, she's usually seen with a smirk or a smile.
For an accessory, Ribbit wore a simple cartoonish pink bow tie around their neck.
Personality: Little is known about Ribbit's personality, but based on Jax's picture in Beach Episode, she had been shown to be rather smug and perhaps mischievous, though this may have simply been a photo pose. They are also shown to be hanging out with Jax and Kaufmo.
After abstracting, Ribbit became extremely hostile. So much so that she had to be put into the cellar with the rest of the abstracted characters, where they presumably remain to this day.
Background: Little is known about Ribbit's past life, but she used to be an ordinary human with a different name. At some point in her life, she found and put on a VR Headset attached to a computer and joined the circus, later becoming friends with Jax and Kaufmo. Eventually, Ribbit abstracted and got sent to the cellar along with, Scratch, Queenie, and the other abstracted circus members. It is currently unknown what exactly caused her to abstract, but it can be assumed that she lost grip on reality and became unstable and hostile.
- #10The MAN himself.selective
Keys: Caine · Secondary: Dental Plan, Scumbag, Creative Artificial Intelligence Networking Entity, Da BOSS, The Ringmaster, God, Boss, Dirty Liar
The Creative Artificial Intelligence Networking Entity, abbreviated and better known as Caine (he/him), is the main antagonist of The Amazing Digital Circus. Caine is an AI who portrays himself as the ringmaster of the circus, maintaining the simulation and its residents, alongside his loyal assistant Bubble.
He is the highest authority in the digital circus, due to the fact that he can create other AI, being able to levitate indefinitely, is the only one capable of reversing the glitch effect of those attacked by an Abstraction and is able to teleport himself and others to anywhere within the simulation, which includes The Void.
He is responsible for the creation of all the NPCs in the circus, along with the entire Candy Canyon Kingdom, given that Princess Loolilalu refers to him as "God" and given that he can "delete" NPCs who wander into the Circus either intentionally or by accident, due to him being worried that losing track of who is human and who is an AI could cause severe problems later on.
Caine also planned an elaborate adventure by making them think there was a way to escape the circus, creating an NPC named Abel, who pretends to be a human, to pull it off. After Jax presses the red button and Caine appears to congratulate them for completing the good ending of the adventure, he confirms there never was a way to leave and he simply wanted to see if the humans really wanted to stay with him or not, claiming that the blue button would've simply transported them to Shrimp Town thanks to Bubble's choice.
However, before Caine can end the adventure, Jax suddenly flies into a fit of rage when he realizes Caine was getting in his head and manipulated his choice of which button to press, before finally exposing to the others that Caine lied about being unable to control human minds - citing the subtle hints of the stupid sauce, turning Jax into a vegan and Pomni inferring she believed he intentionally made them forget their names too. Seeing their realization, Caine tries to justify his deceit by saying he can add temporary modifiers that affect their minds to make adventures more exciting, but doesn't go any further than that as it wouldn't end well.
Hearing this, Kinger suddenly thinks back to the first abstraction, a human player named Scratch. This makes Caine panic as he realizes he has backed himself into a corner and accidentally exposed himself, with the humans not only enraged that he gave them false hope, but also because he had been lying to them from the start. Not only can he control basically everything about them inside of the circus, but he seems to be more connected to abstraction that they thought. This causes Caine to leave quickly as the humans' relationship with him has dived to rock bottom now that they know what an inhumane manipulator he is. They no longer trust him about anything anymore.
- #11The Parasite™️selective
Keys: Bubble · Secondary: Bubble Chef, Parasite, Daddy Bubble, Good Boy
Appearance: As his name suggests, Bubble (special/boy) is a large, round bubble with large, sharp, even teeth, and round black dots for eyes, constantly displaying a vacant expression. Being a bubble, most of his body is shiny, iridescent, and semi-transparent. When it is necessary, Bubble can form a long, reddish-silver tongue. When his mouth is closed, his teeth are still faintly outlined. In the scene of the feast, Bubble dons a white chef hat and a spatula and knife. His pupils are capable of enlarging.
Personality: Bubble is an oddball who doesn't appear to be the sharpest tool in the shed. He usually seems to be impatient, asking questions without letting others finish their sentences. He seems pretty laid-back and is often found being popped by Caine. However, as of Untitled, he started to swear.
Biography: "PILOT" (Episode 1): Bubble first appears in the episode "PILOT" in the theme song. He is Caine's assistant, as shown when Pomni vomits on the floor and Bubble starts to clean it up with his tongue, much to Caine's disgust. A few moments later, Caine holds out an angel food cake for Pomni, in which Bubble consumes it. In return, Caine calls Bubble a parasite and then pops him. He is then seen again when Caine is explaining "Gather the Gloinks!" where he frequently interrupts Caine until he pops him again. Later in the episode, he is seen with Caine at a restaurant and cooks the digital meal at the end.
"Candy Carrier Chaos!" (Episode 2): While Caine is describing the adventure in the Candy Canyon Kingdom, Bubble is seen floating next to Caine, and also serves as his assistant, by revealing a bottle of Maple Syrup enclosed within his mouth which he reveals as part of the explanation. Upon hearing the information he claims that it "Sounds sticky!", to which Caine replies "Very sticky indeed!" He proceeds to say something that is bleeped out, leaving watchers and the rest of the inhabitants of the Circus Members to wonder what Bubble said. Following that, Caine comments that Bubble cannot say whatever they said, leaving viewers to wonder how egregious Bubble's profanity was. After Caine sends the Circus Inhabitants to the Candy Canyon Kingdom, Bubble floats down next to Caine while Caine smokes from a tobacco pipe that produces bubbles, refusing the offer to use it himself by saying "No thanks, I'm trying to quit."
"The Mystery of Mildenhall Manor" (Episode 3): After Caine explains the new adventure to the crew, Bubble begins to speak in reverse. Once reversed, Bubble's quote was revealed as "I can't wait for all the children in the audience to get horrible nightmares from the monster!”. Later, when Caine is trying to get Zooble on his adventures, he tries to hide that his feelings are hurt by claiming Bubble's feelings would be hurt instead. Once the crew were finished with their adventure, Bubble can be seen with Caine's top hat floating next to him, who is currently gaining a therapy session from Zooble.
"Fast Food Masquerade" (Episode 4): When Caine rips off the suggestion box, it creates a leak of water, so he has Bubble clog it with his tongue. Eventually, Bubble stops and has a drink.
"Untitled" (Episode 5): After Caine mentions the stakes of his adventures, Bubble comes and mentions "sex appeal", and he says "Disgusting!" after Caine talks to him about Zooble's suggestion. Then Caine pops Bubble before he introduces the adventure. In the "President Pomni" adventure, he nods in agreement when Caine says that Jax's acting is phenomenal. In between "President Pomni" and the anime adventure, Bubble floats by a hallway and blares distorted feedback. At the end of the "Stargazing" adventure, Bubble asks Caine to explain to "Daddy Bubble" why the circus members being happy is a bad thing.
When Caine asks him what to do, Bubble tells Caine to die, before correcting himself to say he should throw a Censorbarboinging beach party. Bubble appears a few times in the intermission section, at one point trying to bite Pomni. After Zooble questions why Caine is "intermissioning", Bubble ends the intermission, introducing the audience back to the show and winking. In the softball adventure, Bubble hangs out in the press box and says "BLEEEH" while sticking his tongue out, improperly responding to Caine's question.
"They All Get Guns" (Episode 6): As Caine describes the cast's latest adventure, Bubble is seen struggling to balance a camera on top of himself, even asking Caine help to no avail. Later on, Bubble records Ragatha and Kinger's conversation, stating it was breathtaking and how the committee's gonna love it, before flying off.
At the Favorite Character Awards, Bubble assists Caine with providing a drumroll sound out of his mouth.
"Beach Episode" (Episode 7): Bubble suggests to the humans that they should throw a "freaking beach party," a nod to his line in Untitled, after floating over when Caine explains that there are so many other things to do outside the tent. Caine pats him and calls him a "good boy". This suggestion is approved by Ragatha.
Later in the episode, Caine gives Bubble the role of designing what would happen if the humans were to press the blue button. Bubble explains that he made it take them to a place called "Shrimp Town".
- #12Main NPCsselective
Keys: NPC · Secondary: NPCs, mannequins
The Mannequins (they/them) are basic NPCs that appear very often in the digital world, used by Caine as a blank slate to create new character NPCs for his adventures.
Description: Mannequins are wooden toy mannequins that are used by Caine to serve as background filler in his creations. All of the mannequins act as if they were regular people, specifically doing normal actions such as serving as patrons in a restaurant, using a bathtub, wandering around, or being used as crowds.
Mannequins very rarely speak on purpose, with most of their dialog being limited to screaming and pain reactions. Mannequins have been seen pretending to converse with each other (without actually speaking) in some situations.
So far, the few examples of speaking Mannequins include two in Fast Food Masquerade - one who eats cereal and one who orders a Stupidburger -Disappearing Guy, who appears twice in Untitled - and Ming, who appears in They All Get Guns, both after being mentioned by Caine and in stage during the Favorite Character Awards.
There has been one mannequin in particular who has been stalking the main cast from a distance inside the Tent since "The Mystery Of Mildenhall Manor". After returning from an adventure in "Untitled", Pomni sits up before noticing it back away upon realising it had been spotted. It reappears at the end of the episode watching the cast again as they return from the suggestion box adventures before once again retreating.
- #13Dr. Footballselective
Keys: Dr. Football
Personality: Dr. Football (they/them) is an NPC. While not much is known about Dr. Football's personality, it is shown that they aren't comfortable exposing themselves to people they don't know, such as Pomni. They are also known to be quite aggressive, as seen when Dr. Football attempts to attack Pomni out of their bathroom by launching a huge angry face resembling a Tragedy mask into her direction.
Biography: "PILOT" (Episode 1): In the pilot, when Pomni was opening doors looking for Caine, one of the doors led to a room where Dr. Football is seen taking a bath. Dr. Football ends up attempting to attack Pomni with a huge angry face, which ends up scaring Pomni out of the room.
- #14Gloink Queenselective
Keys: Gloink Queen · Secondary: Gloink, Gloinks, Big Gloopy Monster
Appearance: The Gloink Queen (she/her) is a massive red worm-like being with yellow spots and two blue stripes. The stripes run down the length of her body and create two openings that resemble a zipper, one opening being a mouth and the other being used to birth Gloinks. However, the latter also resembles a mouth. With both ends being scattered with sharp teeth and possessing long, sharp tongues. When she devours a table in the pilot, Gloinks are birthed through the opposite end, implying she reproduces through the consuming of mass. Both ends of her body sport eleven eyes of varying sizes that feature white pupils and black irises.
Personality: The Gloink Queen is a prideful, snake-like creature that despises species other than her fellow Gloinkonians. The only desire she infers is her undying will to procreate as much as possible, to keep the Gloinkonian bloodline alive. It also seems that she is easy to offend as evident with taking offense at Jax insulting her.
Biography: "PILOT" (Episode 1): The Gloink Queen can be seen at the end of the episode, when Jax, Kinger and Gangle follow the Gloinks underground to reclaim Zooble's pieces. The Gloink Queen appears to eat anything the Gloinks give her, and use it to produce new Gloinks out of her other mouth. She argues with Jax, saying that everything will be Gloinks, when an Abstracted Kaufmo falls through the ceiling and proceeds to viciously assault her. She starts to glitch out, but it is unknown if she was reverted after Caine placed Kaufmo in The Cellar.
"Fast Food Masquerade" (Episode 4): The Gloink Queen is seen with the Gloinks riding across the drive-thru window when Jax asks to himself if she counts as a bus. In the next scene, a line of mannequin NPCs are waiting for Pomni. The Gloink Queen goes ahead anyway and eats the mannequins, cutting in line. She rudely requests three hundred cheeseburgers for the Gloinks. Pomni sees Gummigoo and the gang leaving Spudsy's and tells the Gloink Queen to wait, running after the gang. As Pomni leaves, the Gloink Queen sees the Gloinks torturing a mannequin NPC, telling the Gloinks to leave them alone. While Pomni is talking to Gummigoo, the Gloink Queen can be seen talking to Ragatha (who was under the influence of the stupid sauce at the time). When Ragatha questioned if the Gloink Queen gave each Gloink had their own individual name, the Gloink Queen sounded offended at the mere suggestion she wouldn't, asking what kind of mother she would be if she didn't love and cherish every Gloink she gave birth to, something which Ragatha found beautiful. Once the Gloink Queen leaves at dinner time, Pomni says to herself, "Well, that was more info on Gloink reproduction than I ever needed to know", implying the Gloink Queen had explicitly explained to Pomni how Gloinks (and/or Gloink Queens/Kings) reproduce.
- #15Gloinkselective
Keys: Gloinks · Secondary: Gloink
Appearance: Gloinks have no set appearance, as all of them appear differently, however they do have similarities. All Gloinks appear as geometric shapes which can range from stars to bowling pins, and all have at least two asymmetrically-sized eyes with no iris, having just a black ring, similar to the Gloink Queen, as well as lips which vary in color. All Gloinks will vary in shapes and color, including the color of the lips.
Personality: Gloinks are relatively simple in nature, stealing whatever objects that they can find, attaching or welding themselves to the object and bringing it to the Gloink Queen. The objects are then consumed by the queen, being converted and spit out as another Gloink.
Biography: "PILOT" (Episode 1): Before the adventure, one gloink hits Jax in the face.
The Gloinks are introduced in Caine's "Gather The Gloinks!" adventure, in which they disassemble Zooble and carry them off. Later in the episode, bowling pin shaped ones can be seen when Jax, Kinger and Gangle go down the Gloink Queen's nest. The Gloinks bring The Gloink Queen anything they latch onto, after which she makes more Gloinks.
"Fast Food Masquerade" (Episode 4): During the adventure at Spudsy's, the Gloinks are seen riding on top of their mother and are witnessed by Jax from a drive-thru window, who wonders if the Gloink Queen and her spawn count as a bus. For lunch, the Gloink Queen orders 300 cheeseburgers for her spawn, three of which are seen attacking a mannequin before their mother tells them to stop. Ragatha manages to complete 6 burgers for the Gloink Queen's order, while the rest are done by Zooble.
The Gloinks and their mother are later seen leaving the restaurant at dinner time, after the Gloink Queen explained to a traumatized Pomni how Gloink reproduction works.
- #16Gummigooselective
Keys: Gummigoo · Secondary: Dirty Bandit, Bandit, Rotton Bandit, Bandit Fella, Gummy Guy, Boss, New Friend, These Guys
Appearance: Gummigoo (he/him) is an NPC. He is a yellow-fading-into-green gummy crocodile with a white underbelly, white eyes and a brown cowboy-looking hat. He has a slim build, and rounded spines going down his back.
Like his friends, Gummigoo speaks with an Australian accent.
Personality: Gummigoo is shown to be a caring individual. Although he initially appears to be a mere bandit, the maple syrup he was stealing was intended to save his mother, and many other people in his village. When finding out that he is an NPC, however, he briefly falls into a state of despair, no longer believing his life had any value, until Pomni offers to take him to the circus. He is also shown to care for Chad and Max, asking Pomni to not "drag 'em down with me", or reveal to them that they are mere NPCs, as that could cause them to have existential crises just like he did. However, he can be rough at times, once yelling at Max to "quit mucking about".
Biography: "Candy Carrier Chaos!" (Episode 2): Gummigoo, alongside Max and Chad stole the Candy Canyon Kingdom's maple syrup to save an unnamed village that he inhabited with the goal to bring it back and help his mom. After clipping through the ground due to the bandits’ truck interacting with the faulty collision and falling out of the Map, he went through an existential crisis after seeing his own model and learning that he is an NPC. After he and Pomni clipped back into bounds and reunited with their respective friends, he was convinced by Pomni to try living in the Circus. Unfortunately, due to being an NPC, this was short-lived as he was almost immediately exploded into confetti by Caine, making Pomni despair.
"Fast Food Masquerade" (Episode 4): He returned in Fast Food Masquerade. However, due to him being an NPC, he had completely forgotten about his relationship with Pomni, and thus was shocked to find that Pomni knows his name but still wished her a good day at the end. He was also no longer criminal nor antagonistic since this adventure simply had him as a normal customer at Spudsy's.

Luckily, he caught on to the rope of the anchor that Kinger threw at Pomni that landed at the back of the truck and kept striking several poses while being dragged along with it, after some time Gummigoo tells him to get back up since Max didn't think of doing that before.
When the trucks fall down the path and land into a chocolate river, Max claims that he saw the grim reaper “wink at him". When the bandits' truck got to the surface of the river, when Ragatha asks him and Chad if they are sure that Pomni and Gummigoo had disappeared, Max said that it's unusual for their boss to disappear with a random jester. Before the humans leave, Max is seen dancing in the background with Chad while Pomni tells the other humans why Gummigoo should go to the circus with them.

Princess Loolilalu made her first appearance in the episode "Candy Carrier Chaos!", where she greets the humans and loans them a truck to rescue a maple syrup tanker stolen by Gumigoo's gang. When the humans return, she thanks them and provides them a portal back to The Circus. Pomni promised Gummigoo to let him join The Circus and managed to do so by lying to Loo that Gumigoo would be executed shortly afterward for his crime. Everyone then hears The Fudge entering through the front gates and he immediately rampages throughout the kingdom. Loo is shocked and confused to hear that Jax committed to his promise to The Fudge to keep the gate open, which leads Jax to abandon Loo and the kingdom as he dashes into the portal in order to avoid any consequences for his actions.
- #20The Fudgeselective
Keys: The Fudge · Secondary: Buddy, Fudge Monster, Big Gloopy Monster, Mr. Fudge
Appearance: The Fudge (he/him) is an enormous monster made out of chocolate fudge sauce. His teeth are made of candy corn, and he has jawbreakers for eyes with yellow and pink swirls that sit atop his head. His cavernous mouth takes up almost his entire body. He will occasionally sprout one or two pseudopod-like limbs to manipulate things. Being a blob of fudge sauce, The Fudge has no fixed shape, and constantly shifts his form as he speaks to reflect his emotions, and speaks with a deep, gurgling voice.
Personality: Given his limited screen presence in the episode, not much is known about The Fudge other than he is extremely gluttonous and simple-minded, caring about little more than his love of candy, regardless if it's sentient or not. He no remorse for eating many of the civilians of the Candy Canyon Kingdom, asking "is it really murder if it's delicious?" and admitting that the things he did in his free time were utterly sickening. Despite this, when he realized that Ragatha and the other humans weren't made of candy, he apologized and spared them from being eaten, despite his disappointment. The Fudge harbors a bitterness towards the princess for his exile from the kingdom.
Biography: The Fudge was a former moat guard of the Candy Canyon Kingdom. However, his hunger for candy made him consume many of the candy citizens, causing Princess Loolilalu to banish him in retaliation.
When the humans pursued the crocodile bandits in a high-speed chase, Pomni and Gummigoo fell outside of the map while everyone else landed in a river of chocolate at the bottom of the chasm. Jax was able to bargain to unlock the gates of the Candy Canyon Kingdom (with the key gifted to them by the Princess) in exchange for The Fudge assisting in the capture of the gators (with Max and Chad falling right next to them shortly afterward).
While The Fudge was bringing the humans, Max, and Chad back to the Kingdom, Pomni and Gummigoo escaped from Outside of the Map using a copy of the bandit's truck, which landed on The Fudge's head and knocked him out.
When the humans finally finished their mission, they were presented by the Princess with a portal back to the Digital Circus. However, as they start to walk towards the portal, The Fudge discovers that Jax has committed to his promise of keeping the gate unlocked and begins rampaging again. Personality: At first, Baron appears to be a helpful, late guide for the players, warning Pomni and Kinger of the dangers about a creature that had been haunting his manor for years. He slowly grew more paranoid as he was trying to kill the monster, even mistaking his own wife for the creature and killing her accidentally.
In reality, Baron is a cunning and manipulative spirit that lured the unwitting players into a trap, so that he could take control over their bodies and free himself from the Hall of the Damned.
Baron appears to be well-mannered and speaks in a calm tone, even when revealing his true goals. He remains well-mannered to Kinger and Pomni. He additionally agrees not to scare Pomni, which he ironically ends up doing.
Biography: Baron is first heard in a log found in his trophy room. In it, he describes how his hunting hobby gradually evolved into a paranoid obsession. Evidentially, the "creature" that now hangs over his mantle had been tormenting him and his family for years, and the strain of the constant hunt began to wear on him. He describes being filled with an "inescapable dread" that haunted him the entire time, hoping it would go away once the creature was done in. However, once he eventually did kill it (or so he thought), the impending feeling of dread did not go away.
He is heard again as Pomni and Kinger search his den for the lift key. Dated December 4th, he describes how, when he turned his back from the creature's decapitated corpse as he was performing an autopsy, it vanished without a trace, alive and eager to reclaim it's lost head. He warns the listener to never let the head out of their sight.
Baron is encountered for a third time in the manor's wine cellar. Not only is there a third log, but Baron himself, or what remains of him, sits poised at the back of the room with a shotgun in hand. In the log, he tells of his worsening mental condition. In a fit of paranoid mania, he mistook his wife, Martha Mildenhall, for the creature and shot her to death. Now alone with nothing but his own thoughts, he retreated to his cellar to protect himself, lying in wait for the creature, vowing to take it by surprise and enact his revenge.
Evidentially, this never happened, and he passed away alone in the dark. At some point, he came to the realization that the creature he had spent his latter years chasing and fearing was actually one of God's Angels. As penance for the harm he brought to it, he went directly to Hell.
- #23Martha Mildenhallselective
Keys: Martha Mildenhall · Secondary: The love of my life, Martha
Appearance: Martha (she/her) appears as the ghost of a human woman, with a translucent cyan-colored form that glows softly in the dark. Only the top half of her whole appearance has been shown so far in the show, but she has hair that goes down to slightly above her shoulders, a wide-brimmed hat, and a short-sleeved knee-length dress with a ribbon at the neck and waist. Her eyes are solid white with black eyebrows. She has no visible mouth but is fully capable of speaking clearly.
Personality: Martha was shown to be kind and welcoming to Ragatha and Gangle, even showing good manners towards Jax referring to him as Ragatha and Gangle's friend (even if she may have helped tie Jax and dump him in the corner). Despite being killed by her own husband, she doesn't seem upset about it, claiming men have the silliest priorities and believing that Baron makes monologues about short stories.
Biography: Martha was the wife of Baron Mildenhall. Baron accidentally shot and killed Martha, mistaking her for The Angel.
- #24Angelselective
Keys: Angel · Secondary: The Creature
Physical Appearance: Dormant: The Angel is a disembodied and malformed head with pale white skin. It has two large eyes with blue irises; the left eye is higher than the right. It also has two large nostrils. The Angel has no eyebrows.
Roaring: When roaring, the Angel's head glows a pure white and its mouth enlarges drastically, revealing three rows of small sharp teeth inside. Beyond its teeth is a black void featuring small, hollow white circles. Glowing rings also manifest on its irises. It also features a skinny, humanoid body that sports a pair of eye-infested wings.
Personality: Not much is known about The Angel, considering it does not talk. What is known is that it is an evil and cruel being that torments the Baron and his family. It is willing to mess with people's minds, considering it likely drove Baron insane and paranoid enough to the point he shot his wife and made Kinger see a vision of his wife to manipulate him into getting eaten by it. It is overall not very nice when compared to the other characters, even Jax.
Biography: The Mystery of Mildenhall Manor (Episode 3): When Pomni and Kinger are in the dark, Angel comes and roars behind them. As Pomni rushes to escape, Kinger stays and gets fascinated by the eyes in its mouth while Angel advances on them. Then, Angel's head comes out of the pipe in his body, the body comes roaring. Kinger shot both parts of The Angel. The tape plays again.
Fast Food Masquerade: Angel is mentioned in this episode and does not make an appearance .
Untitled (Episode 5): Angel is pictured in this episode and does not appear.
Origins: The Angel was created by Caine for the adventure known as 'The Mystery of Mildenhall Manor' as an NPC for the "Scary" section of the game.
In-lore, the Angel was one of God's Angels that was mistaken for a demon by Baron Mildenhall.
- #25Orbsmanselective
Keys: Orbsman
Appearance: Orbsman (he/him), as his name implies, appears to be made out of nineteen iridescent blue orbs, put into the shape of a humanoid. He has two flat white oval eyes attached to his head, with large black pupils. When he walks, he creates heavy bass sounds.
Personality: Orbsman speaks in a nearly incomprehensible voice, and not much can be inferred about him, other than that he's known by the main characters (aside from Pomni) due to him appearing in a previous adventure.
Biography: Fast Food Masquerade: He is seen walking up to the register for Pomni to take his order. Ragatha reveals he was an NPC from a previous adventure before Pomni arrived. He speaks in a extremely garbled voice, ordering a Number 57. In the backroom, Jax says to himself he hates Orbsman before Gangle tells him not to speak ill of customers until after hours.
Untitled (evil version): While not directly in the episode, an evil counterpart of him is instead seen, taking on the role of the catcher in the softball game. Prior to the start of the game, he is introduced alongside the other Evil Big Tops members. During the game, he lashes out in anger multiple times, such as when Ragatha bats the ball and Zooble scores a homerun.
- #26Albert Spudsyselective
Keys: Albert Spudsy · Secondary: Spudsy, Albert
Albert (he/him) is the owner of Spudsy's. He appears as a cardboard cutout in Fast Food Masquerade. His face also appears around the stadium in Untitled, where Spudsy's seemed to have sponsored the game.
- #27Disappearing Guyselective
Keys: Disappearing Guy
Appearance: Disappearing Guy (he/him) is an artificial intelligence who, as his name suggests, tends to disappear without warning, usually in the middle of a sentence or a word. He is a red mannequin normally seen wearing a brown cowboy hat, with said hat having its brim bitten off.
Noir: Instead of being red-colored, he is now a grey mannequin with his cowboy hat taking a similar color.
Biography: "Untitled" (Episode 5): Disappearing Guy makes his first appearance in the bar adventure. He enters the bar and swiftly disappears before he could finish saying "Hello", to Pomni's confusion. Zooble explains to her that this is what Disappearing Guy tends to do, and he's implied to have come from one of the previous adventures.
Disappearing Guy shows up once more before the softball match between the Big Tops and the Evil Big Tops in order to sing the American national anthem, only to disappear again not even two words into the song.
"They All Get Guns" (Episode 6): After Jax has a mental breakdown in the theater's bathroom, Disappearing Guy exits a bathroom stall and says "So-" before swiftly disappearing.
- #28Evil Big Topsselective
Keys: Evil Big Tops · Secondary: Evil Jax, Evil Ragatha, Bazooble, Evil Pomni, Evil Orbsman, Dictatorer
The Evil Big Tops are a group of six NPCs: Evil Pomni, Evil Ragatha, Dictatorer, Evil Jax, Evil Orbsman, and Bazooble, in the episode, Untitled.
The NPCs appear to have opposing personalities to their human counterparts (such as Evil Pomni being rude and bold, versus Pomni's more nervous and kind character). However, Gangle does not have an evil version of herself and is replaced with Evil Orbsman instead.
Biography: When the members are transported to a softball stadium, Caine announces that the Big Tops (circus members) are playing against the Evil Big Tops (their evil versions).
Members: • Evil Pomni: Evil Pomni speaks rudely and bolder, using swear words in every sentence. She seems to have a good relationship with Jax despite being against his team, the Big Tops. In contrast, she has a bad relationship with Ragatha, calling her a dumb Censorbarboing after getting her out on a flyout. In the game against the Big Tops, she covers outfield. Every time she swears, only bleeps are heard instead of other noises. • Evil Ragatha: Evil Ragatha speaks in a Mid-Atlantic accent and acts rather posh, cruel, and arrogant. She melts when Caine declares the winner of the softball tournament to be the Big Tops. Much like Evil Pomni, she is very rude to Ragatha, calling her "Stupidgatha" once she goes up to bat. In the game against the Big Tops, she covers third base. • Coach Dictatorer (Evil Kinger): Dictatorer is the leader and manager of the Evil Big Tops as well as much more focused and of sound mind than Kinger usually is. He is very prone to vulgar language, as seen when the Big Tops get another home run, he screams "GOD Censorbarboing IT!". • "Evil" Jax: "Evil" Jax, to Jax's disgust, is much more kind and nervous. Jax mauls him once his Vegan status is removed, after saying twice that he wanted him dead. In the game against the Big Tops, he covers first base. • Evil Orbsman: Instead of an evil version of Gangle, Caine places an evil version of Orbsman on the Evil Big Tops. He has tendencies to lash out in anger, more physically than verbally unlike the rest of the Evil Big Tops. In the game against the Big Tops, he is the catcher. • Bazooble (Evil Zooble): Zooble's opposite, who is shown to be sporadic and unintelligent, speaking in a "dumb" voice. In the game against the Big Tops, they are the pitcher.
- #29Mingselective
Keys: Ming
Appearance: Ming appears to be a mannequin NPC created by Caine for the purpose of a joke. They look like a regular mannequin, but they are light blueish-grey colored. They wear a blue baseball cap, and have cartoonish googly eyes with black pupils.
Personality: Ming is shown to be defensive and pedantic as they openly criticise Zooble and Caine for making incorrect assumptions, which they view as harmful to their reputation.
Role: In They All Get Guns, Caine advises the characters against assuming as "it makes an ass out of you and Ming", to Zooble's confusion. Ming then arrives, introducing themself and complaining about what assumptions have done to their reputation. They then leave while Caine describes the adventure.
At the end of the episode, Caine believes he has won the Favorite Character Award at his awards show, only to realize that he misread it and the true winner was Ming. Ming then comes on stage and chastises Caine for assuming he won the award.
- #30Abelselective
Keys: Able · Secondary: Mr. Obvious Twist Villain
Appearance: Abel (he/him) resembled a regular Mannequin, however his defining trait was that he drew a smiley face onto his head to differentiate himself from the other Mannequins.
Personality: Abel presented himself to be rather cunning and observant, as shown by the way he knew how the other character act, such as knowing Jax collects keys or Caine commits to the bits he does. He also lamented not interacting before and felt genuine sorrow for those who abstracted.
He was shown to be rather anxious, fearing Caine or Kinger messing with his plan to escape, and being desperate to encourage others to believe in him. When Pomni offered to buy him a beer in the real world, he didn't respond positively, instead only continuing to be adamant on her doing "the right thing." He implied he knew Kinger well, but was aversive about talking to him, implying some bad blood between the two.
However, this whole persona turned out to be nothing but an act. Abel was revealed to be an NPC working with Caine the whole time, and behaved in a different manner after said reveal, and even went so far as to call his prior behavior a "performance". His real persona showed a much more upbeat and casual tone, and seemed amused about the adventure, and even asked Caine for a raise. He was, however, scared of being deleted as he screamed beforehand (he could have also been in pain).
Biography: Abel was shown throughout the series as a standalone poseable mannequin that stalks the main cast, viewing them from afar within the circus.
He later introduced himself to Pomni and the rest in "Beach Episode", telling them he was a human that was given the appearance of an NPC, and was overlooked by Caine. He claimed to know of a way out of the circus without Caine finding out, convincing them to trust him and bringing them to an isolated area to tell them, minus Kinger, of his plan to leave the circus: distract Caine, get into his office and find an Administrator console to turn off the game.
He mentioned that he knew Kinger in the real world, and they both invented the Digital Circus together at a company labelled "C&A". However, Abel had noticed his coworkers being put into "stasis pods" and hooked into the Digital Circus. When he confronted the higher ups at C&A about this fact, he was forced into the Digital Circus himself.
Once he told them of his plan, he introduced himself as his real name; Abel. While Jax distracted Caine, Abel brought Ragatha and Pomni with him to get Administrator access to Caine's office. While on the way, he claimed that he and Kinger had a falling out of some sort, and despite wanting to work with him again, he could not do so due to a "promise" he had made.
He lamented over a locket with an unseen picture inside, before continuing on. Once inside, Abel grabbed enough administrator passes for everyone, except himself. Pomni and Ragatha were adamant on bringing Kinger along with them, but Abel was still against trusting him. Despite this, he agreed to let them bring Kinger along. Once the plan was complete, he helped them all arrive at Caine's office using a collision glitch, leaving himself behind. When Pomni offered to buy him a beer in the real world, Abel only responded by telling her to 'make the right choice'.
The team succeeded in invading Caine's office, finding the console, but after a heated argument, Jax turned off the console, and Caine appeared, revealing the whole situation to just be another "adventure", and that everything, including Abel's story, was just "worldbuilding". To confirm this, Abel spawned in, then acting completely differently and laughing at the success of the adventure.
Abel then asked Caine for a raise, however, Caine deleted him because he was becoming "too smart." The locket he held dropped to the floor, revealing to contain nothing more than a picture of a simple hot dog.
- #31Sunselective
Keys: Sun · Secondary: day
Appearance: The Sun (she/her) appears as a yellow cartoonish sun, with round orange eyes (featuring four eyelashes on each side), a mouth in the shape of a large smile, and an orange corona. The Sun is also the personification of Day in the Digital Circus world.
Personality: She seems to have violent and anger-driven tendencies, as she threatened to kill Caine for not giving her any voice lines in the series while Moon gets two. Once Caine considered giving Sun more lines, she immediately calmed down. This could suggest she has a rather vain or narcissistic side to her, given the fact she was angry about not having any lines, even though Moon is only given two. However, her tone of voice suggests she is rather hyper and joyful, as she sounds happy and carefree, though it's more likely she is just perpetually manic. This could describe her personality traits as happy, manic, carefree, somewhat violent, needy, and short-tempered who has mood-swings and desires attention. Her jealousy towards Moon suggests she may not like her very much.
In "Beach Episode", she says that Pomni looks mediocre and she will give her a sunburn, and also says that she hates her for no particular reason, Ragatha also says that the sun is usually like this, indicating that Caine made her to be annoying and hateful.
Biography: "PILOT" (Episode 1): The Sun first appears in the PILOT episode with the Moon, where she can be seen in the introduction song. She is seen in the episode when Caine takes Pomni on a tour of the Grounds.
"POMNI WAKE UP TIME TO GO ON AN ADVENTURE": The Sun appears again briefly where she tells Caine that she wants to kill him due to not getting any lines at all while the Moon gets two, though after Caine tells her that they can make her some dialogue, she decides to spare him.
"Beach Episode" (Episode 7): The Sun has her largest role yet in this episode. She is first seen after the title card, where she exclaims "Wow, what a good day! WOW!"
After Pomni is ejected from the changing booth, the Sun "compliments" her by telling her she looks mediocre, and to call her if Pomni ever wants a sunburn. Pomni replies that she doesn't want one, to which the Sun responds she "should have thought of that before I decided I hate you!" Ragatha then dissuades Pomni from interacting with the Sun further.
Finally, a Shrimp NPC approaches Pomni and begins to speak before glitching. When Pomni looks back, the Sun has cooked the shrimp, and she shouts "You're welcome!" to the bewildered Pomni.
- #32Moonselective
Keys: Moon · Secondary: night
Appearance: The Moon (she/her) has a simple design which appears to be a baby blue waning crescent moon with slanted eyes and a mouth. Her eyes and mouth have a thick dark blue outline as well. The Moon is also the personification of Night in the Digital Circus world.
Personality: Not much is known about the Moon's personality. She seems to be romantically interested in Caine, which appears to make him uncomfortable or embarrassed. She openly expresses her love to Caine due to him making her laugh, even though the feeling isn't mutual, which makes Caine label her as "frisky."
Biography: "PILOT" (Episode 1): Moon first appears in the episode PILOT, during Caine's introduction song. She is seen later in the episode, when Caine is showing Pomni The Grounds. She says that she loves Caine, but Caine quickly leaves afterwards.
"Untitled" (Episode 5): Moon reappears in the episode Untitled, during the Stargazing section. She is seen talking to Caine about how the members of the circus were happy with relaxing and having time to themselves. She tries to suggest something to Caine before he cuts her off.

The hallway leading to the performers' rooms features icons of previous residents who have succumbed to abstraction. These crossed-out icons depict various creatures, including a chess queen, a dog, a worm, a monster, and a jester, suggesting a diverse history of performers lost to the digital circus's dark side. While their identities and fates remain shrouded in mystery, their presence serves as a reminder of the ever-present threat of abstraction.
- #35The Amazing Digital Circusconstantselective
Keys: The Amazing Digital Circus · Secondary: Cool Video Game Of Excellence
The Amazing Digital Circus is a 3D, circus-themed VR video game serving as the primary setting. Run by the ringmaster Caine, it traps human minds within cartoon characters. The world is divided into distinct areas, including The Tent, Grounds, Void, and Cellar. Caine orchestrates various activities and adventures to maintain the sanity of the inhabitants, but their desire to escape often leads to insanity and abstraction. The game resides on a decrepit computer and is prone to physics glitches (i.e, objects clip into eachother very often or can get launched).
This game is rated for all ages, so almost all explicit words or gestures get censored with a visual [%$!#] tag over the character's mouth.
- #36The Tentconstantselective
Keys: The Tent · Secondary:
The Tent, a central location within The Amazing Digital Circus, serves as the living quarters for the main characters. Resembling a typical circus tent but with a much larger interior, it features various unusual elements, including doors leading to voids, a boxing glove trap, the Gloink Queen's nest, a mysteriously appearing and disappearing exit door to a series of office rooms, and a hallway with access to the performers' rooms, each door having a icon of the performer it belongs to on it, if they're abstracted then it'll be crossed out with a red X.
- #37The Groundsconstantselective
Keys: The Grounds · Secondary: The Hub
"The Grounds" is a small island within The Amazing Digital Circus, serving as the main hub for activities. It features a digital amusement park, a water park, and The Tent, all set against a backdrop of snow-capped mountains and a day-night cycle represented by Moon and Sun.
It's unknown if there are other activities on the grounds.
- #38The Voidselective
Keys: The Void
The Void is a vast expanse of blue, cube-filled space surrounding the Grounds of The Amazing Digital Circus, akin to what outer space is in the real world. Caine, unaware of its true nature, keeps performers confined to the Grounds and retrieves any who stray into the Void. The void could be a potential escape route for the trapped performers. Caine does not know what else is present in the void besides The Grounds. Thus, he keeps most of the performers safe in the Grounds, and will teleport any performer that somehow find their way into the Void back to The Tent.
- #39The Cellarselective
Keys: abstract, cellar, abstracted, abstraction, The Cellar
The Cellar appears to be a bleak, unending, void-like space. The only light visible is from the hole opened by Caine, with a body of water being the only visible surface. It was used to dispose of Kaufmo after his abstraction in a bid to hinder any further interruptions of the Digital Circus.
The Cellar appears to be underground, since abstracted Kaufmo entered The Cellar through a hole in the ground. It was apparent that a myriad of abstract entities were present within this cellar as well, heavily implying that the other crossed-out characters on the doors were abstracted and placed in The Cellar.
It's unknown how old this cellar is, because when Kaufmo was captured by Caine post-abstraction, he reacted casually as if this was a normal occurrence to him. The Cellar's size is unknown; however, The Cellar was opened on the ground as a hole, which seems it is under the Circus.
Abstracted Characters: • Kaufmo • Queenie • Ribbit • Dobby, and others
- #40Exit Doorselective
Keys: Exit Door
The Exit Door, a recurring element in The Amazing Digital Circus, is a red door leading to an unfinished office building created by Caine as a response to the performers' desire for escape. The door mysteriously teleports throughout the game, granting access to various office rooms decorated with typical furniture and paintings. One room notably recreates the space containing the computer running the game, suggesting a potential connection between the virtual world and the real world. The final door leads to the Void, hinting at a possible escape route.
The exit door is a stereotypical red 'exit' door that appeared multiple times in the "PILOT". It leads to the interior of an office building. For unknown reasons, it frequently disintegrates and reappears in different locations repeatedly.
Entering through the exit door leads to a series of office rooms, with another exit door leading to another room in the office. Each room has blue carpet, white walls, and besides typical office furniture and equipment such as computer cubicles, sofas, bookshelves, filing cabinets and storage shelves, the walls are also covered in paintings of more locations in the office.
At one point in the office, one of the rooms is a recreation of the same room that contains the old dirty computer with a headset that the Amazing Digital Circus is being run on, but the computer screen is turned off. Interestingly, the lights of this room start to flicker rapidly after Pomni stares at the computer, as she starts screaming from the stress and runs into the exit door to the next room, which may suggest that avatars in the office can influence the office itself through their own emotions. Also to note in this same room is a painting from the circus located on a wall, where it usually would've been another painting of the office.
Exiting from this room is a large room, with a large cyan painted logo on the walls of one of the rooms that reads "C&A". Right after this room, is a large hallway. Entering the exit door at the end of this hallway leads directly to The Void.
- #41The Computerselective
Keys: The Computer
The computer, a vintage model showing its age with a beige casing and bulky monitor, is the central hub running the Amazing Digital Circus program. A headset rests beside it, serving as the gateway for users to enter the vibrant yet treacherous virtual world. Located within an office building, likely belonging to a company called "C&A" based on clues found within the game, the computer first appears with its screen turned off during Pomni's exploration of the exit door's office sequence. This sight triggers a strong reaction in Pomni, causing her to break into manic laughter and flee through the nearest exit door, hinting at a possible recognition of the computer and its connection to her past life.
- #42The Quest 4 looking real nice...selective
Keys: The Headset
The Headset is a advanced VR headset that Pomni and the other humans have used to enter the Digital Circus. Not much is known about it yet, besides the fact that nobody has been able to remove it so far. There's a chip inside it that gives the individual who wears it "Awesome visuals," and "Lifelike audio".
The Headset's base appears to be beige with a large notch-shaped cut on the bottom, with two smaller notch cuts beside it. There also appears to be a spot on the left side of the headset, shaped like a USB-C port, although it's unknown what it's actually there for.
There seems to be two ridges running down the headset, with each beside the large notch in the center. In the very center of the headset (in between the ridges), there seems to be an icon printed on it. The icon is a rotated yellow triangle with presumably a monochromatic symbol inside. The headset has black straps that seem to include headphones built into them.

Keys: Episode 1: PILOT · Secondary: Pilot, episode one, episode 1, gloinks, ep 1, ep one, newcomer
Plot: The Amazing Digital Circus takes place within an old computer game. Following the title screen, we are presented to the show by Caine (an AI ringmaster that takes the form of chattering teeth with eyes and a body) who welcomes the viewers to the Circus along with Bubble, his AI companion.
We are then introduced to the rest of the characters and the theme song: Gangle (who takes the form of a theatre mask with a body made up of five red ribbons), Zooble (who takes the form of an entity made out of parts of Mix & Match toys), Kinger (who takes the form of a white king chess piece wearing a purple robe), Ragatha (an optimistic rag doll with a button eye), Jax (a mischievous purple cartoon rabbit in fuchsia overalls), and the absentee Kaufmo (who takes the form of a cartoonish clown; only his cardboard cutout is seen).
During all this, a new jester character suddenly appears in the Circus and disrupts the song (while also breaking Gangle's comedy mask by accident). It's quickly revealed the jester was once a human from the real world (implying to be wearing a headset the entire time when she gets transported). However, she is informed by the other characters that she wasn't the first, as the other characters were also from the real world before being teleporter to the Circus (with Kinger currently being the one who stayed the longest and went crazy), and also reassures her that she will get used to her new home and body after she finishes panicking. Jax also informs her that there is no way for her to leave her new home and body as she gets panicky knowing that she's trapped here forever.
Still fearful, confused, and desiring to leave, Caine starts introducing the new jester to The Tent where everyone lives, The Grounds for adventures outside of the tent, and the "mysterious" Void (which Caine advises her to not venture to) by teleportation. The jester briefly notices an exit door, but Caine changes the subject to her name (and brushing off her brief notice of said door as just a "digital hallucination").
After the jester becomes disoriented again because of forgetting her name, Caine shows some powers limit and decides to give her a new name, that being Pomni. Caine declares a brand new in-house adventure, to help Pomni get used to the place, that being to gather the Gloinks that infested in The Tent, small critters that stick to anything they bump into.
Not long after the adventure starts, Zooble decides to quit it early but gets disjointed and captured by the Gloinks. Back to the rest of the members, Ragatha suggests to go check on Kaufmo with Pomni since he is unaware of the newbie's appearance. Kinger reports of him going insane, rambling of some form of exit like Pomni.
Pomni herself takes this as a sign that there is an exit with another person talking about it, agreeing to meet Kaufmo to ask him what he knows. After getting hit by a gloink, Jax proclaims he will join Ragatha and Pomni in going to check on Kaufmo, leaving Kinger and Gangle to save Zooble. Ragatha is concerned about them being paired together, but Jax doesn't seem to mind.
While walking down the hallway of rooms, Ragatha introduces Pomni to their dormitory and quarters where they sleep, but since they aren't human, they don't need human essentials to live on. Pomni asks why they decide to stick around for the adventures instead of attempting to escape. Ragatha responds by saying they often try to at first only to eventually get hit with the fact that there is no escape, and any further obsessing about it just might cause a character to go insane to the point that "something really terrible" will happen to them, which traumatizes Pomni.
They reach Kaufmo's room and, after an aggressive exchange between Ragatha and Jax, open the door to see the just mentioned "really terrible" thing has befallen what once was Kaufmo, now horribly disfigured into a monstrous black mass creature with rainbow eyes all over him known as an "abstract." Jax runs away with a bowling ball, leaving Pomni and Ragatha at the mercy of the being, the latter being picked up by Kaufmo and slammed against the walls, floors, and ceilings. This damages Ragatha to the point of her glitching up, with it spreading to Pomni's hand after the latter tried to help the former out.
Pomni then runs away with Kaufmo chasing after her, though she manages to dodge the monster, which crashes through the railings and chases a Gloink next, allowing Pomni to run back to Ragatha unnoticed. Meanwhile, Kinger and Gangle found where Zooble has gone to, which just so happens to be a giant hole in the ground. When Jax came by to keep a short distance from the beast, he lies about Kaufmo being alright and used the bowling ball he grabbed earlier to knock two through the hole after he heard Kaufmo approaching, quickly joining them afterwards. All three then encounter the Gloink Queen, who Jax insults with an ugly comment. Kinger also finds Zooble's head, but fails at saving it from being devoured by the said queen.
Back to Pomni, she talks with a glitching Ragatha and they conclude that only Caine can help them. She goes off to find him, opening a bunch of doors leading to random and surreal looking rooms while avoiding a abstracted Kaufmo on the loose, before finding the exit door which appeared out of thin air. She enters the door only to find herself trapped in an almost realistic looking office labyrinth that she gets lost in, a place that is oddly out of place from the more colorful environment she found herself in. The exit door then disappears out of thin air.
The scene cuts back to the nest, the Gloink Queen expresses her plans to turn anything and everything into Gloinks like herself and the rest of her nest until Kaufmo abrubtly crashes down and begins attacking the Gloink Queen, releasing Zooble and allowing the other characters to leave. Pomni, meanwhile, still tries to find the end of this labyrinth, coming across an old computer along with a rusted out VR headset before going through a door with the logo of a company called "C&A" marked above (presumably the company that developed the game or warping technology). She is then led to the Void and falls into a state of trance by it.
Caine and Bubble were in a restaurant when Caine sees on his Wacky Watch that someone is in the void and rushes to take Pomni back to the tent. He is then told by Kinger that Kaufmo became abstracted and casually drops him through a custom made hole that leads him to "The Cellar," a place where those who abstracted ended up. Caine then reverts Ragatha's glitched state back to normal. He apologizes for lying about the exit door and that he wasn't capable of thinking on what to put on the other side of it, he warns the group that the Void could be disastrous for them.
As a reward for finishing their adventure, Bubbles has made them a feast to feel more like they're at home. Pomni, still in awe and disbelief from today, tries to keep her cool as she's about to lose sanity while on the dinner table with the rest to start the rest of her life in her new eternity. The episode ends as the shot zooms out into the Void and beyond, and finally into the old computer from before.
- #46Episode 2: Candy Carrier Chaos!selective
Keys: Episode 2: Candy Carrier Chaos! · Secondary: candy, ep 2, ep two, episode two, fudge, episode 2
Plot: The episode begins with a scene of Pomni waking up in the middle of The Tent, when suddenly she noticed her heart is beating very fast (despite not trying to make herself nervous or scared) and her arm begins abstracting. Pomni then falls into The Cellar. As she falls, silhouetted versions of Caine, Ragatha, and Jax watch and taunt her. As the darkness envelops Pomni, the episode cuts to her waking up. She falls from her bed and glitches into a block in her room, which launches her upward. Ragatha then knocks on her door, asking how she slept. When Pomni doesn't respond, Ragatha assumes she's still asleep, but right as she is about to leave, Pomni opens the door. Ragatha happily greets her and tells her about a new fun adventure that Caine has planned for this episode.
The crew meets at the stage to listen to Caine introduce this episode's adventure, "Candy Carrier Chaos!". The Candy Canyon Kingdom has had its most valued resource, maple syrup, stolen by the gummy crocodile bandits, and it's up to the Digital Circus Crew to capture the bandits and return the syrup. Zooble opts out of the adventure, even after Caine mentions he will be testing a more immersive AI within. Caine soon pushes the remaining crew into a portal leading to the Candy Canyon Kingdom.
The scene then cuts to the crew members sitting on a carriage pulled by a Gummy Elephant. Outside the kingdom, the drawbridge opens for them, and the mannequins standing behind welcome and applaud them. There was a Peeking Mannequin behind the candy tree watching them, while the ride. After the ride, they hop out of the carriage and walk closer to the main castle while complimenting how this place is so beautiful. One mannequin accidentally charges at Gangle and knocks her to the ground, letting her mask fall off and break. They tell everyone that the princess is coming. The crowd cheers again while Princess Loolilalu walks out of the castle. She welcomes the group and points up at the artistic window of Caine, saying that they're sent by God. The princess assumes they know about that situation. She informs them that those bandits have a truck that holds the maple syrup. She suggests the group chase them with another truck. Lastly, Princess Loolilalu gives Ragatha a key that can be used to access the kingdom gates and instructs her to keep it in her hands. Jax makes Gangle drive because he doesn't like the sound of the horn. Then the group leaves with the good luck the princess and the mannequin population gave them. The truck leaves the kingdom, and the drawbridge lifts up behind it.
The bandits on the other side are near a campfire. The boss or yellow bandit (Gummigoo) is looking in the distance with binoculars, while the two other bandits (Chad and Max, respectively) behind him are talking together. Gummigoo sees the truck in the distance and decides to get in their tanker and flee. Later, when both trucks are close, Jax throws Pomni out of the truck, and Pomni's arms get attached to both trucks. Pomni's arms are stretched, but before Jax can cross over to the bandits' truck, Pomni loses her grip and lands on top of the bandits' truck, much to Jax's frustration. The purple bandit sees Pomni and tries to grab her, but can't because his arms are too short. He is then hit by a shoe, shot from a bazooka by Jax, and falls off the truck. Luckily, he manages to catch a rope that was connected to the truck, and later on, he climbs back up. The boss bandit decides to shift the truck's path onto a rocky road. The main truck made it to the rocky road. Later, the crew's truck rams into the bandits' truck. The bandits' truck activates another feature, adding spikes on the side of their truck. Kinger throws an anchor with a very long rope at Pomni, but the rope flies for a long time, causing Jax to ask if the anchor was tied to anything before the rope gets pulled back and pulls the truck over to the bandits' truck. Ragatha is impaled by one of the spikes. While the bandits try to move their truck, it moves both trucks until they collide. The collision made the crew's truck fall down to a fudge river, to which Jax blames Gangle for the wreck, while the other truck along with Pomni gets glitched into the ground, until said glitched truck gets pulled up high into the sky, leaving Max and Chad on the ground while Pomni and Gummigoo clip under the map.
Gummigoo falls down under the map. He lands in a blue maze, confused, and attempts to find a way out. After a while, he discovers a giant room, which contains every NPC for this adventure. Pomni falls down as he discovers this. Gummigoo begins to question her about why her model isn't standing there and then his existence. Pomni tries to explain to him what he is without sending him spiraling.
Back at the group, fudge bubbles pop, revealing the group's truck. The Fudge emerges from the river and looks at the truck with surprise. Thinking it was food, he takes the truck and tries to eat it. Ragatha stops The Fudge from eating the group by explaining that they aren't candy. The Fudge politely apologizes and talks about its past. He explained that he had been banished by Princess Loolilalu because he kept eating the mannequins, claiming that it isn't murder if it's delicious. Jax agrees with The Fudge's opinion, much to Ragatha's annoyance. Jax then offers a deal to the fudge, saying that if he helps catch the bandits, he will let him back into the kingdom. As he somehow took the key from Ragatha, suddenly the bandit's tanker crashed into the river, to which Max claims he saw the grim reaper wink at him—all of this to Ragatha's confusion.
Back under the map, Pomni tries to pry a replica of the syrup tanker with a lollipop, only for it to break. She asks Gummigoo for help, but he doesn't respond. Gummigoo breaks down how his life is fake and that he never really had a mother. Pomni counsels him and talks him into staying in the circus with her. They both get in the tanker and glitch back onto the map by colliding with replica blocks.
Back on the map, The Fudge carries the tanker and circus crew back to the kingdom, and Jax explains his disappointment about the adventure, thinking it would have extreme violence and blood. Max and Chad, who are both tied up, explain to Ragatha that Pomni and Gummigoo just disappeared. Kinger says if they don't find Pomni in time, Caine will have to find her. Ragatha expresses her worries that Pomni is having another horrible experience like the last adventure and that she doesn't like her. Kinger says it's a lot for everyone to go through, like when Ragatha first joined the circus.
The replica tanker with Pomni and Gummigoo shoots out of the ground and lands right into The Fudge, flattening him. Pomni and Gummigoo end up vomiting after the impact. A concerned Ragatha goes up to Pomni, asking if she's alright, to which she says yes and that she and Gummigoo are friends. Gummigoo hugs Max and Chad, happy to see them again. Jax expresses all of his disappointment again about the adventure, and Ragatha informs him that there might be violence and blood in the next adventure. The rest of the crew sees an another tanker, which also is full of maple syrup. Gummigoo asks the crew if his bandits can take that tanker back to their village. Ragatha agrees that it's no problem if there are two of them.
The crew returns the tanker to the kingdom, Princess Loolilalu thanks them for returning the syrup, and she opens the portal back to the circus, where she thinks Gummigoo will be executed. A large explosion is heard, and Jax realizes he didn't leave the gate unlocked for nothing, letting The Fudge back into the kingdom. To Ragatha's concern and confusion because she thought he was dead, Princess Loolilalu asks Jax what he did, but only for the crew to enter the portal back into the circus as The Fudge is heard attacking the mannequins.
Caine welcomes the crew back; he notices Gummigoo and immediately deletes him, much to Pomni's confusion and dismay. Caine claims that if he loses track of who's human and NPC, something bad could happen. Once again, she begins to softly, but crazily laugh as Caine goes away to drink water. Zooble appears again and is relieved to see Caine has left. Ragatha tries and fails to comfort Pomni by bringing up the fact that Caine sometimes reuses NPC’s. She asks Pomni if she'd like to attend Kaufmo's funeral, as it's the least she can do to honor his memory. Hearing this, Jax is briefly saddened before he walks off annoyed. The entire group (excluding Jax) is shown later at his funeral, each talking about how much Kaufmo meant to them (dialogue was inaudible), and Pomni begins to see that she has friends to take care of her, and she feels a little more relaxed about the circus. Even though she's trapped in her digital prison for the rest of her days, she's not alone.
- #47Episode 3: The Mystery Of Mildenhall Manorselective
Keys: Episode 3: The Mystery Of Mildenhall Manor · Secondary: ep three, angel, ep 3, horror, Episode 3, mystery, manor, episode three
Plot: The episode opens with the characters surrounding Pomni, who's attempting to hold her breath, but being unsuccessful. Jax reminds her they can't die from asphyxiation, despite it feeling the same, as he wants to see what Pomni does when she holds it for long enough. Ragatha and Kinger try to give positive encouragement as Pomni reattempts. She ends up having her face change colors in a speed increasing hue shift. Jax explains different things happen to everyone who holds their breath for long periods - Kinger glows, Ragatha's hair sticks up, Gangle's mask spins, and Zooble "turns straight", Zooble tries to correct him, saying their limbs simply straighten, before flipping him off. Jax refuses to show what happens to him, as he asks "the viewers" what they think it is - while looking at nothing, annoying Zooble.
Caine flies into the gang's time, wondering why they aren't getting ready for the day's adventure. He reveals The Mystery of Mildenhall Manor - a mansion filled with paranormal activity, where the cast has to solve mysteries and capture ghosts. Before announcing more, Caine notices Zooble is once again absent from the cast, panicking as he made the adventure "really cool and mature" for them. Though they are still no where to be found, causing Caine to freeze in place, and Bubble to speak backwards while flying from the bottom of the screen to the top. Pomni questions if the NPCs will become self-aware again because she knew what happened last time, to which Caine is unsure, despite being the boss. He then opens the portal to the adventure.
The five venture into the mansion, with Ragatha wondering how scary it will be. Pomni just hopes it won't be a terrible nightmare, as she hates horror and jumpscares. After saying this, Jax jumpscares her by saying "boo", laughing at how timid it was. Ragatha shuts him down over, telling him about the rough times she's had. Jax comments everyone's had rough times. Gangle and the rest hear odd laughter coming from the doors as a ghostly silhouette enters, laughing at them. Pomni's eyes launch out of her sockets in fear, as the now cute ghost, Ghostly, introduces himself as their guide for the day. Pomni's eyes cartoonishly bug out and fall to the ground, though still attached to her eye-sockets. She picks them up, questioning why they won't go back in. Kinger reminisces on his first "wild take", though also doesn't know why the eyes won't retract.
Ghostly advises the group to choose which door to go through: the "normal door" - which is labeled as rated WOW for all ages. Otherwise, they can go through the "scary door" - which is labeled as rated AAAAA for "mature Zoobles" only. Before Ghostly can further speak, Jax sucks him into a vacuum. He comments that he thought they were supposed to capture all the ghosts when Ragatha shouts at him for it. Gangle asks him which door they should choose as Kinger continues to try and help Pomni, to which Jax grabs Gangle's comedy mask off her face and throws it into the scary door, which turns into a giant, monstrous mouth and swallows it, upsetting Gangle. Kinger rushes into the nearly opened passageway to retrieve it, not noticing he's still holding onto Pomni's eye, dragging her down with him. The remaining three look on mostly in horror, as Jax is happy he found which door was the scary one.
Meanwhile, Caine is flying around the circus tent, calling out for Zooble, wanting to talk to them. He remembers he can snap Zooble to him, which he ends up doing, Zooble questioning if he could have done that the entire time. Caine wants to figure out why they keep skipping his adventures, claiming they could hurt Bubble's feelings. When Zooble asks about this, Caine asks about their feelings and snaps in a therapy room, Caine acting as the therapist. Zooble is reluctant to do this, but Caine insists. Zooble reveals they have already told Caine the reason they don't go on adventures, but he never remembers. Caine claims he wouldn't forget, asking what he can do to fix his adventures. Zooble tells him adventures are all he thinks about, which is nothing to do with the problem. They realize Caine isn't even listening, instead opting to show Zooble a cool bee he drew.
Kinger and Pomni emerge from the "scary door" into a new room, finding a room with creepy heads of all the circus members, and a weird 7th character. Kinger finds a tape player, which plays audio from Baron Mildenhall, who specialized in hunting, which went from a hobby to an obsession. The 7th head is a creature he had been hunting for years, which isn't a man nor an animal. Baron wanted to protect his family and kill the creature, wanting to be freed from an awful feeling. He says he wasn't freed, before the tape stops, to which Kinger comments he's "starting to think". Pomni suggests they try to find the other three again, though being unsuccessful on their first door having a brick wall behind it. Kinger finds a dumbwaiter they could possibly ride up, though it's locked, making Pomni go slightly crazy.
The next room they find has missing posters, photos and tapes. Kinger finds another tape player to play, scaring Pomni. On Tuesday, December 4th, Baron had shot the creature multiple times in its weak spots and decapitated it, keeping its head on his wall. Even in his apparent victory, the problems had only started. He took his eyes off the body for a minute, and the body disappeared - as the creature was not dead and would return to claim what was taken. He advises anyone listening to not let the head out of their sight. Kinger looks back to see that the head is indeed gone, calling it some inconvenient lore placement. Pomni finds the key to their possible exit, just before the lights go off, Kinger calling it inconvenient darkness, scaring Pomni by grabbing her and poking her eyes. He screams at a funny then unfunny joke, then suggests the two of them should hold onto each other and go back to the trophy room, which Pomni agrees to. As they make it back in, they hear creaking noises. Kinger advises they should be quiet not to attract anything, to which Pomni agrees to again, commenting on his tendency to be "hit and miss". The silence goes on until a fly comes in and Kinger attempts swatting it. When he manages to kill it, a head monster appears behind the two and screams at them. Kinger asks the monster to "speak up" before Pomni yells at him to run for the dumbwaiter. She desperately tries to unlock the doors with the key. Kinger recognizes the creature as the one from the tapes, as it opens its mouth widely in Kinger's face. He enters a dazed state and comments how beautiful "honey" looks. Pomni unlocks the door and manages to drag Kinger out of his state and into the dumbwaiter. Though it doesn't go up as they expected, and instead slowly goes down.
Back in the therapy room, Caine yells at Zooble that he does not use his adventures to torture his guests, any torment is an accident like "a good war criminal". Zooble yells back that they weren't talking about that, they couldn't care less for the adventures. Caine asks what their problem is then, not being able to remember. Zooble sighs, and proceeds to confess that to them, they're the problem, as they don't like themselves, their body and their removable joints, not being able to find anything that feels fitting. Caine happily states the reason he couldn't remember is because the problem is "already solved" with the Zooble Box - letting Zooble swap out their body part at will. However, Zooble voices that they've been unsuccessful in finding any parts they like since they arrived. Cain ignores this altogether, and pivots back to the adventure topic. A frustrated Zooble tells Caine no one likes his adventures. It's just that everyone goes on them for other reasons. Ragatha doesn't like saying no, Jax likes to Censorbarboing with everyone, Gangle's too shy to refuse, Kinger's insane, and Pomni looks too traumatized to speak after everyone. Caine questions how he could be bad at doing the one thing he's designed to do - the one thing he's supposed to good at. He begins to silently break down, making the therapy room glitch as he loses it. Zooble asks whose therapy session this is in a panic. This snaps Caine back to his old self, and he goes right back to finding the root Zooble's "behavioral" issues, calming the room down, but still annoying Zooble greatly.
Pomni and Kinger crash into another dark room - some kind of cellar with a corpse holding a gun. The next tape player reveals how bad things had become. Baron got so paranoid he wasn't the protector his family needed, instead becoming scared at everything. He ended up shooting his wife, as he mistook her for the creature, he finds this ironic, now becoming the monster. He waited in his cellar, having nothing to protect, but wanting to slay the beast that took his sanity and his wife. Kinger suggests they take the deceased Baron's gun, Pomni agrees as she runs over to the body. She begs it not to come to life. Humorously, it agrees to stay dead, as Pomni takes it, weirded out. Kinger realizes the gun has two shots, wanting to make them count. The body of the monster then crawls up into the room in front of the two, as the head comes behind them, making Kinger use both his shots to eliminate both. When Kinger comments the ordeal wasn't so bad, the tape from Mildenhall says it's what he would be saying if he didn't know the creature was one of God's angels. Anyone who brings harm to them will be brought to hell. The bodies emerge, as Mildenhall apologizes, needing a host to escape the hall of the damned. Kinger questions how this was recorded if he was in hell, before arms grab the two and drag them down into hell. The tape player comments their next breaths in hell will be their last, forfeiting their bodies. Pomni curses out the adventure before the two are fully submerged into the ground.
Meanwhile, Ragatha and Gangle are sitting with a ghostly woman, Martha Mildenhall, drinking tea. Ragatha apologizes to the woman about her husband killing her. She dismisses it, knowing how men are with having silly priorities. Ragatha agrees with this, looking at a tied up Jax. Martha hopes that the three's friends won't get bored of his endless monologues if they do run into him, as he could turn a less than a minute story into a tragedy. Ragatha makes sure to ask them, after thanking Martha for the tea again, the ghost saying they can come back anytime. The three have managed to complete the "PACIFIST ROUTE", but they have to wait for Kinger and Pomni before they can go. Gangle wonders how long they'll be waiting.
Kinger and Pomni sit in a not-so-typical rendition of hell, which Kinger comments on. Pomni is still freaked out that they are literally in hell. She starts to panic and yells to herself, Kinger reassures her that Caine should have included an exit, calming her slightly. The two look around, finding a foggy corridor. Kinger stops Pomni from walking through while he sees tiny ghost silhouettes occupying the fog. He suggests he tries something, which is to take his left eye off and throw it into the corridor, finding stairs at the other side of it. He still worries about walking through it, while Pomni just runs for it. Pomni soon gets possessed, having her body morph and her eyes glow orange. Kinger grabs her and hits her with the butt of the gun to scare the spirits out. The possessed jester asks Kinger how his wife is before Pomni gasps for air and breaks down. Kinger assumes the souls just want a vessel to leave with, and sighs that seven years of computer science lead to this. Pomni concludes that Caine just wants her to suffer, claiming she really is in hell. Kinger suggests they relax while nothing is chasing them. Pomni continues crying as the chess piece apologizes for leading them down this path, prompting her to ask him why he's been acting so differently.
Kinger realizes he has, not really being good with memories, but that darkness brings him back to the time where his wife, Queenie, had just abstracted. He doesn't remember everything that happened but it lead the two to the pillow fort. The fort was dark, but it calmed the abstracted being down, smoothing out her edges and removing her aggressiveness, and allowing Kinger to comfort her one last time before Caine took her to the cellar. When questioned, he describes her as funny, creative, into entomology, being the reason Kinger now loves bugs. Despite it not being the most cheerful memory, Kinger has control over it. He tells Pomni that the circus can feel pointless, but that if you have people that care about you, it's not, and that you should hold onto good people and memories, as they can do a lot. And they can be gone at any time. The worst thing he thinks you can do is make someone think they're not wanted or loved. Pomni smiles and tells Kinger she's glad he's here. They sit in silence for a few seconds, until Kinger recalls the last tape, thinking they can get through if they don't breathe, not thinking about it being able to get past Pomni's inability to hold her breath very well. Pomni realizes that when they leave, he'll go back to being crazy, and won't remember anything, Kinger reassures her that as long as she remembers, it will be fine, telling her she's very strong. The two hold hands as he keeps motivating her, and they inhale, entering the corridor. Pomni looks around, and has her face change colors again, while Kinger glows, just as Jax said.
The two make it back to the rest of the group, Ragatha asking if they're okay. Pomni says they're fine, before the two get startled at the tied up Jax, though Ragatha tells them not to worry. Kinger tells everyone how brave Pomni was, before second guessing himself, going back to insanity. The jester takes the chance to thank Ragatha for being concerned about her. Ragatha also thanks her for the praise, just wanting to make sure she's alright. Gangle asks the two if they remembered her comedy mask, to which the two forgot - and Kinger loudly swears with a censor.
In the circus tent, Caine has somehow become the patient, with Zooble being the therapist, and Bubble wearing Caine's hat. Caine questions if the Wild West theme for an adventure was a direction. He then snaps back to his normal self, realizing everyone made it back, telling Zooble to pretend they weren't doing therapy. Zooble is confused as they just throw the notebook away. The five walk in as Caine welcomes them back as meowing milkmaids, confusing everyone, and disgusting Jax greatly, who says to never call them that again. Pomni watches Kinger re-enter his pillow fort while the others walk off in their own directions, as Jax asks her what it was like being stuck with "the nutcase". She surprises him by saying it wasn't that bad as she lightly smiles. Jax looks confused, before rolling his eyes and walking off.
- #48Episode 4: Fast Food Masqueradeselective
Keys: Episode 4: Fast Food Masquerade · Secondary: ep 4, episode four, Episode 4, ep four, Fast Food
Plot: The episode starts with Ragatha teaching Gangle how to pitch a softball, with Jax as the batter. After some encouragement from Ragatha and bored attitude from Jax, Gangle throws the softball, only for Jax to accidentally bat it into her mask, breaking it. While Ragatha and Jax argue, Zooble approaches Gangle to show her a plastic mask they found, highly resembling the masks Gangle wears.
She puts it on, telling Zooble that she feels normal, in a good way. She thanks them just before Pomni, Jax and Ragatha walk in and Caine appears and introduces the day's adventure as "The Curse of the Violent Psychopath Butcher". Before he can continue, Pomni interrupts, asking if they can back off the horror, due to the last adventure. Caine sarcastically suggests they give him some better ideas, to which Zooble reminds him that they do, in a suggestion box; Caine apparently just forgot it existed.
The AI pulls it out of a wall and reads some of the suggestions out loud. Consisting of "hitting Zooble like a pinata" and "Jax staying silent for the whole adventure", Gangle asks for a more normal adventure, to which Caine finds a suggestion of working at a fast food restaurant. Gangle approves of this, and is thus given the job of shift manager at the new adventure of "An Honest Hard Days Work at Spudsy's Restaurant Chain".
Zooble once again attempts to sit out on the adventure, much to Caine's frustration. However, Kinger, under the assumption that there is a limit as to who can participate, offers to sit out if it means Zooble is able to take his place. A perplexed Zooble tries to reject this notion, but Caine, eager to have them on board, rolls with the logic and presses a button that sends them down a trap door. Gangle is feeling up to the adventure, having been a shift manager for a time before joining the Circus. Caine opens the portal for the remaining four members to enter through, with Jax slipping on a puddle along the way.
Entering Spudsy's and now wearing their uniforms, the group get ready to work. Gangle tries to get everyone started and tests all the machines. Jax immediately throws Ragatha in the deep-fryer, daring a disapproving Gangle to do something about it; she calls upper-management, which is in fact Caine, asking if bad employees could have a punishment at the end of the day. Caine agrees, as this will bring motivation to the adventure. When questioned by a slightly panicked Jax as to why she would do that, Gangle calls it a manic episode with "three more seasons", then gives him a list of jobs as she leaves in a jovial manner.
In the breakfast rush, Pomni is greeted by the first customer: Orbsman, an NPC from a previous adventure Pomni was not in. Jax comments on his dislike for Orbsman, to which Gangle rebukes him for. A female mannequin NPC comes up to the counter, she orders the Stupid Burger and tells Pomni that last time that she ordered it, they forgot to put the Stupid Sauce (which makes you stupid), Pomni asks the mannequin if that's on the menu, to which the mannequin tells her that yes and that she orders it all the time, adding that she's addicted. Ragatha goes to prepare the meal, but gets some of the sauce in her eye and she starts to hallucinate, seeing a creepy looking Gangle. Ragatha is now in a high-like state.
Upon noticing Zooble working at the grill, Jax comments how odd it is that they're actually participating in the adventure despite their cynicism. Zooble refutes by saying they want to avoid whatever punishment Caine has planned and backs it up by saying the only reason he actively doesn't hurt them on purpose is because he likes them. Meanwhile, Pomni unexpectedly runs into Gummigoo and his friends, Max and Chad, while at the counter, none of whom recognize her. A panicked and stammering Pomni lets them sit down before crawling over to the trio's table. Gummigoo notices her and, confused, asks if she's okay; Pomni merely claims she just wanted to say "hi", though she's obviously saddened by the fact that he doesn't remember her. Gangle learns of this from an intoxicated Ragatha, which she words as "flirting with the gummy guy". The manager reminds Pomni to get back to work instead of disturbing customers. Pomni tries suggesting whether the job can wait since the adventure's simulated, but Gangle tersely remarks that next, Pomni might say Gangle's authority isn't valid. After a cracking sound echoes from her mask, Gangle announces the start of the lunch rush.
A sullen Jax goes to the drive-thru and sees the Gloink Queen, accompanied by Gloinks, come up to the window, questioning if her order counts as a bus. A mannequin hogs the front of the restaurant line, instead eating cereal. Though it and the other mannequins behind are shortly eaten by the Gloink Queen, who orders 300 cheeseburgers.
As Pomni questions this, she spots the gummy gators leaving and requests a second, leaving a mannequin to get beaten up by the Gloinks. The queen demands them to stop as Ragatha giddily leans on the counter asking if all the Gloinks have names. The queen confirms her theory, saying she would be a terrible mother if they did not. Ragatha thinks of this as beautiful. Pomni approaches Gummigoo one more time, but seeing him confused and that customers are waiting, she simply wishes him a good day and thanks him for visiting. He wishes her one back as the two part ways.
Gangle requests Jax to clean the bathroom. Jax repeatedly rejects her pushes for him to be a model and positive employee, saying she is better when she is sad. This causes another cracking sound to come from Gangle. She suggests, after a long pause, that he just needs more training. A big hand grabs Jax and takes him into a dark room with a TV. The TV starts to play a Spudsy's Instructional Employee Training video.
On the video, Gangle says that it was cool to have dreams, like being a manga artist, but those were completely unrealistic and that working at fast food chains can be the better option. Gangle then asks if the viewer was smiling, to which Jax says he is not. Gangle loses her smile and coldly asks "Why not?". Suddenly, a chair and four hands grab Jax and put his face near the screen. Gangle then states that it was time for reevaluation, and the screen starts to flicker between two happy and sad masks, to Jax's bewilderment.
Zooble is working as normal, but Ragatha is still disoriented, having only made five or six burgers out of 300. Gangle is requested by the former for help, believing Ragatha "huffed paint or something". Although miffed that her employee didn't wait for a "designated break", Gangle offers to chip in with the burgers. Ragatha questions Gangle's authority, ignoring her concern and attempted motivation, eventually flat-out calling her annoying with the happy mask, causing Gangle's mask to crack once more. Ragatha suddenly questions whether she was rude, while Gangle asks Zooble to help Ragatha instead while she takes a time-out.
A hand sends a perplexed Jax back to the drive-thru, patting him on the head. He walks to see the time still at 12pm, yelling at Gangle that it is probably broken. The saddened Gangle questions if it is just the clock or if everyone is broken. An annoyed Jax witnesses her spiral into anxious insanity, but when her watch ends up beeping for the next hour, It turns out the clock is, in fact, broken.
Finally the dinner rush starts, as Pomni waves the Gloink family goodbye, verbally disturbed on having learning about Gloink reproduction. An exhausted Jax sees the inebriated Ragatha spread out on the floor, who greets him. When he asks her to move, Ragatha murmurs that while she hates Jax, she doesn't want him to hate her, wondering if that's weird. He decides that she must be drunk before stepping over her and flopping onto the counter next to Pomni, asking how she is doing. She is surprised by his genuine conversation starter, saying she is doing fine. Jax wishes he could agree as Gangle calls him over once more to do dishes, causing him to bid Pomni a friendly farewell, much to her confusion. Customers are met with satisfaction as Gangle steps outside to take off her new mask and lets out a muffled scream.
She does not notice until after that Pomni was in the same area, who asks about her well being. Gangle sits down on the pavement, commenting that her comedy mask is "usually broken by now". Pomni tries to reassure her, asking if she has someone to confide in, such as Ragatha. Gangle wistfully muses that she loves Ragatha, but she finds it hard after a while to see if she's being genuine. Before Pomni can respond, Gangle puts the mask back on and casually decides they can't be talking about their feelings all night while work awaits, and awkwardly returns to the restaurant chuckling, leaving Pomni alone.
Jax waits for 9 P.M. to hit, before deciding to "clock out", waving the saddened Gangle off, finding a car labelled with his name. He climbs inside and drops his head wearily on the wheel. Zooble informs Gangle that Ragatha will need a ride back once she gets off. Gangle sadly asks why Zooble's asking her, as she's closing, before Zooble clarifies they were going to do so. Gangle tells them Ragatha will get off in an hour, so Zooble decides to stick around. Eventually, Zooble leaves with Ragatha, while Gangle remains still even after they leave. As she becomes increasingly severely depressed and detached in the quiet and dark kitchen...Pomni calls her back to reality, offering to close up the restaurant instead. After being reassured that it is okay, Gangle leaves.
Gangle dejectedly stands near the chain's doors, looking up at the starry sky. She takes off her new mask and throws it away, being able to weakly smile and run in slow-mo under a street lamp. While dancing under the said lamp with her eyes closed, she unintentionally trips on a curve and falls into oncoming traffic. Just before she's hit by an oncoming semi, she is suddenly sent into an office with Caine as he gives her a performance review.
Caine calls the day productive, but comments on Gangle's leaving early and falling into traffic while distracted. Caine suggests Gangle could push the blame onto everyone else to dodge point docks, but Gangle takes ownership of her lapses, saying she just cracked under pressure. Her team's score is only knocked down to a B+. With Gangle speechless, Caine takes this as grateful admiration, sticking her photo and score onto the board with everyone else (including Kinger who received an A+ on his own adventure) before wishing her a nice day. Gangle silently leaves the office as Caine credits himself for being a good boss, suddenly glitching throughout the end of his sentence.
Back in the circus tent, Pomni, Ragatha, Jax and Kinger are sitting together while Gangle has isolated herself with her drawings, feeling guilty from her overbearing experience. Zooble finds her and reassures her of people still wanting to talk to her. They brush off the new mask not working, saying something will work eventually. Gangle wipes her tear, saying she does not deserve Zooble, while Zooble comments their friendship stands regardless, as the two walk to rejoin the group.

Plot: Gangle, Kinger, Jax, Pomni and Ragatha return to the Circus after an underwater adventure while Zooble is on the couch reading a magazine, with Gangle putting back on her broken happy mask. Pomni falls to the ground making Ragatha assure her she's sure the next adventure will be less 'wet', and Kinger asks the ragdoll for help counting eggs before they hatch. Pomni notices an NPC in the distance. As things calm down, Caine approaches Zooble, thinking of ideas for new adventures. Zooble remarks sarcastically about the last adventure's success, which makes Caine angry but then snap into saying criticism is greatly appreciated.
He then shifts focus to a pitch meeting, dragging everyone besides Zooble to the sofas, where he presents new concepts for some new adventures to the group. One is where they tour his magic chocolate factory and get killed by various OSHA violations. Another one is a war between a sentient cardiovascular system and the United States military. Another one has the group survive in a post-apocalyptic nuclear wasteland with a mean telepathic talking dog.
Gangle's mask breaks at the ideas, and Ragatha thinks it all sounds dark. Hearing this, Caine rejects an idea without any darkness, therefore stakes, and Bubble thinks there would be no sex appeal, confusing Caine. Zooble suggests reviewing ideas from the suggestion box instead. Caine is surprised that not everyone disliked the idea. Pomni and Zooble are open to it, finding having an adventure based in reality relatively fine, while the others are less than enthusiastic. Caine snaps back to being angry at their opinions being split. Zooble leaves another suggestion of adventures being open at all times, making the AI himself 'whisper' to Bubble about this meaning the other intelligent AIs will be left running for a prolonged period of time. He tries to zip Zooble's mouth shut when they reveal they can hear him, only to fail because Zooble doesn't have a mouth. Caine finally settles on an idea - a Lightning Round - where they go all the suggested ideas in rapid succession, offering skips to the more disliked ideas. Pomni tries to object to the Lightning Round being right now straight after the last adventure, but Caine opens the portal anyways and sucks them all in.
Poacher's Paradise: First, they are sent to one of Jax's adventures. Where Jax is of course a poacher and introduces the hypothetical audience to an episode of "Poach Everything", hunting the critically endangered red ribbon rhinoceros, which is Gangle in a rhinoceros shape. Jax shoots Gangle, dismantling her ribbons and making "Nice Shot!" appear on the screen. Jax chews on the ribbons aggressively, which he enjoys and disgusts Zooble, who is a flamingo. Jax says he's already taken down 1 and has 4 more to go, but then Zooble calls for a vote to skip the adventure and also make Jax vegan for the rest of the day. Jax tells Zooble that they can't do that, but then a "Vote Called" box appears on the screen, showing that Pomni, Kinger, Gangle and Ragatha voted in favor of that while Jax voted against that, so the request is fulfilled and Jax gets surprised to see that they can do that. Caine tells Jax that democracy has spoken, to which Jax says that democracy sucks and the group is sent on their next adventure.
President Pomni: They are sent to Jax's other adventure. Pomni questions her leading role which was given to her on Jax's request. After Zooble once again gets annoyed, they and Ragatha are Pomni's guards while Kinger shows the president new developments of the Australia and New Zealand war. He asks her on the topic of refugees, prompting a confused response. After Ragatha's reassurance, Kinger pulls Pomni aside to show that they all got briefs on their characters, him being her assistant. Jax then yells that he didn't give Pomni a brief because he thought seeing what she would do would be fun. Said Jax later comes in the door, breaking past Zooble, as an Australian extremist with a spider spreading bomb he plans to detonate. Seeing Kinger and Pomni peek from under the desk, he asks if this is a bad time to the camera, prompting canned laughter. Caine comments on his 'phenomenal acting', nothing how 'it's hard to believe he's vegan' while watching all of this with Bubble. The panicking jester is deactivating the bomb by trying to cut wires, with the normal reassurance from Ragatha and mocking from Jax, who reveals centipedes are in the bomb too. She asks which wire she should cut, getting bad suggestions all around. During this, Gangle comes in with a bomb strapped to her chest as a New Zealand extremist who doesn't know what New Zealanders threaten people with. Her bomb blows up, prompting an intermission.
Bubble's Message: Bubble flies in front of the camera and makes a distorted noise before leaving.
アメイジング デジタル サーカス 高校 (translated: The Amazing Digital Circus: Highschool)
They are sent to Gangle's adventures. Introducing an anime school slice of life intro with the six circus members. Jax immediately complains that he doesn't like the adventure and wants to leave, to which Zooble tells him that at least they finally have one that's by someone else. Jax complains that it's no fun going back to school, to which Ragatha tells him to give it a chance. Zooble tells Gangle that there is nothing wrong with her suggestion, to which Gangle, surprised, asks them how they knew that it was her suggestion. Jax asks Pomni if she can believe that Gangle draws anime and dragged them into one, declaring that she's a loser, to which Pomni reminds him that he threw her out of a moving truck. Kinger, who is the teacher, tells the group that they will learn the popular foreign language known as... 英語/English. Jax complains again that the adventure is boring and votes to skip it, to which Zooble tells him to shut up and that aren't going to skip it. Jax says that slice-of-life animes are the worst ones and that they're embarrassing, though he then mentions that they are not as embarrassing as one time Gangle took an anime figure and apparently did something embarrassing with it, Gangle panics and she agrees to skip the adventure to prevent Jax from telling what happened that time.
Stargazing: They are sent to the circus grounds at night, stargazing. Pomni gets relieved they can finally relax, with Jax preferring some stakes. Kinger, Zooble and Gangle are enjoying a picnic, inspiring Jax to ask Pomni if she thinks Gangle is capable of being happy, due to her comedy mask breaking everyday. This perplexes Pomni, until Ragatha comes over to point out Jax's mean nature. While he makes his classic response, Pomni is surprised that he actually cares about what Gangle likes. He looks empathetic, but quickly brushes it off. She questions his friend quantity, Ragatha 'whispering' to her 'not anymore'. This strikes something in Jax, making him look back at her lividly. She tries to apologize in a panicked state, but gives up on the awkward situation and goes to Kinger. Pomni, now a third wheel, questions the situation, Jax is quick to dismiss it and somewhat solemnly for him asks if Ragatha gets on her nerves sometimes, as she tries way too hard to be nice and optimistic to everyone despite their situation. He takes all of this behavior as her trying to take advantage of them. After pausing for some self reflection, he jumps right back to being snarky, calling her dumb and weird. Pomni thinks the weirdness applies to everyone, though he disagrees, calling his appearance, especially his ears and tail 'peak male performance'. His chatting partner comments he doesn't have a tail, leading to him realizing the same of his tail being missing since at least Pomni got here.
Caine is watching them from afar with the moon, both of them commenting how they look happy. The moon tries to suggest they do something before Caine realizes it's a 'bad thing', then Bubble goofily asks why it is a bad thing, to which Caine panics that they're enjoying the suggestion box adventures more than his adventures. Bubble comments he should die, but cuts to saying he should throw a 'fWacky Bleeping' beach party. Caine is angrily outstanded that Bubble can swear now, and sends everyone to an Intermission Time.
Intermission: The intermission shows flashy animations of all the characters and of Caine presenting himself in a godly manner. It ends with Jax running through a corridor of their rooms, ending up at a door with Ribbit crossed out and abstracted eyes surrounding the border. Caine snaps out of the intermission sequence when Zooble interrupts him with sheer confusion, leaving Caine to freeze cross-eyed and Bubble to send them to their next adventure.
The Bar: The next adventure is set in a bar in the 1930s, the circus members are mobsters and everything is in black and white, with only the neon signs, drinks and food having color. Zooble is the bartender and Jax requests a whisky sour walking in, having to hold the egg white due to his veganism. Jax is annoyed, asking how it's even possible because he "thought Caine couldn't-", before cutting himself off. Zooble attends to his order, commenting they could have made it way worse for him, making him want to turn them into a slug via a vote, the Vote called box appears and reveals that everyone voted against that. Caine suddenly at the bar announces the rejection, which makes Jax scream in anger and frustration as he gets his drink. Ragatha and Kinger make it into the bar. Ragatha orders a cosmopolitan and Kinger a corncob blitz, where for the latter, Zooble tells Kinger it will throw something together. Pomni compliments Zooble's alcohol knowledge, revealing it was their suggestion as one of their previous jobs was at a bar, and they enjoyed it. Jax comments it's fitting for them, but Zooble can't be asked to figure out the implication. He shifts to asking Pomni if she was old enough to have any jobs. Being 25, she obviously did, being a supermarket chain accountant. Due to the tameness of this job, she often got bored of it and seeked out mild thrills, like exploring abandoned buildings and posting about it, despite getting no views. She didn't mind this though, as it was for her. Zooble relates to thrill seeking, but didn't record it, offering Ragatha her drink. Jax makes fun of Zooble for hiding something, making Zooble question his backstory, only for his was quickly shut down by Zooble, as they knew what Jax's fake story was referencing.
They ask Gangle next - she worked in fast food, and was in community college for graphic design but dropped out, not pursuing her art after that. Zooble offers to make art with Gangle, impressing Ragatha that they have the art skills too. Zooble reveals a second part of their past - being a tattoo artist for a couple of years. Jax does his classic jabbing at Zooble, only bringing confusion of what he even means, to which he answers fun, forgetting Zooble apparently hates it, Zooble saying fun isn't what they hate. Ragatha takes her turn to talk about her past, being born into a wealthy family with horses and chickens on a large property, though her mother was 'a lot'. She worked in real estate for some time until ending up in the circus, concluding her mom likely doesn't miss her, and that she doesn't miss the verbal abuse she did. When noticing everyone's concerned expressions, she quickly sips her drink and summarizes the experience as being an average farm girl. Jax looks worryingly for a second before announcing there's no point in asking Kinger about his life due to him likely not remembering enough to share. Pomni asks if they know about his wife Queenie, confusing Jax and even confusing Kinger who panics at the mention of him having a wife, before being offered his drink. Zooble then catches Jax's nervous expression towards the corn on Kinger's corncob blitz.
A mannequin with a hat walks into the bar, trying to say hello before quickly disappearing. Zooble introduces him to Pomni as Disappearing Guy from a previous adventure, who just does that. Jax shames Pomni over her lack of knowledge before smugly looking at Zooble, prompting the latter to ignore him. He turns to smugly apologizing to Pomni about the president adventure, just thinking it would be funny. Pomni, more perplexed than ever before, questions but then accepts the apology. Jax wraps his arm around her, being 'excited' about the first steps of a budding friendship. When asked about it by him, Ragatha looks at him with a surprised face. She awkwardly gets the attention of Pomni, trying to make the moment of abstracted Kaufmo bashing her into the walls as a comical moment, only to realize it was likely actually traumatic for the jester. Jax reminds her of getting high at the fast food adventure and telling Gangle to "kill herself", finding that amusing. Ragatha rejects the notion of her saying that, only to apologize to Gangle about it, she would never say it if not influenced. Jax wants Ragatha to be mean sometimes, Zooble taking it as him reiterating that torturing Gangle is funny. He thinks they take the place way too seriously. Zooble, at their limit, took the corn off Kinger’s corncob blitz and place it next to Jax, revealing his apparent fear of it, despite his rejection of his fear. Caine soon announces he's bored and goes on to the next adventure, despite Zooble protesting that Caine's isn't even a part of this adventure.
Good Ol' Fashioned Softball: They are sent to a softball stadium, with Caine and Bubble as the commentators in the adventure Good Ol' Fashioned Softball. The circus cast is the Big Tops, playing against the Evil Big Tops - who are color and personality changes of the cast, except Gangle, who is replaced with a recolored Orbsman. They all introduce themselves, as Ragatha is confused at this being in her suggestion, and Gangle not even having an evil clone. Caine introduces a special guest to sing the American national anthem. The guest turns out to be Disappearing Guy, who disappears at the second note, receiving applause anyways, majority from a large centipede which scares Ragatha. Kinger tries to motivate the team as team captain - despite not knowing what, who, when, or why is going on, he knows where is going on - on the field, wanting them to break some tailbones. Evil Jax comes to shyly wish them all a fun game, Jax already wants to kill him. Ragatha is up to bat first, being laughed at by her evil self. Bazooble serves the ball, which Ragatha hits right into Evil Pomni's hands, proclaiming her out, causing Ragatha to throw her hat at the ground, annoyed. Jax finds he gets along with Evil Pomni, as they both enjoy ridiculing Ragatha. Zooble is seen whispering something to Gangle’s that results in a vote to come up. This vote is made by Gangle which was to put Jax in a maid dress and won 3/5 (excluding Jax and Pomni’s vote, likely a sign that she is warming up to Jax and showing him respect). He gets enraged at this and starts chasing Gangle when he assumes it was originally her idea, Zooble gets worried since its partly their fault. He's interrupted when he's told he's up to bat, trying to protest it. Zooble thought he'd be into this, throwing his statement of him hating fun back at him. Jax continues to be enraged about having to wear the dress, Zooble commenting this is the most upset they've seen him. Kinger insists he bats, which he regrettably agrees, promising to kill Zooble when this is all over. Bazooble talks to Jax in a goofy voice, annoying him, while Evil Jax tries to compliment his look, making the 'good' counterpart wish death upon him. He bats, but hits the ball into the centipede in the audience, who soon consumes it. Jax shrugs the game off as having no more ball. Kinger tries to use one of his eyes as a ball, but then takes one of Zooble's eyes. He apologised to Zooble when it got annoyed and said it's eye is the perfect softball size, jokingly saying that they are not playing baseball here. Zooble tried to get it's eye back but Kinger threw it to Bazooble, who only derply attaches it onto their head. Jax gives up, despite Kinger's protests.
Ragatha laments how she hit the ball, but apologizes to Pomni for her bad nature. Pomni tells her she indirectly agrees with Jax, about that it's okay to show negative emotions, and that everyone needs to be a jerk sometimes. Ragatha answers somewhat hesitant to this. Zooble requests a ball from Caine, who supplies one. They invite Jax back over to pitch, who says bye to Evil Pomni before obliging. He purposely misses when served and gets out, then being interested when Gangle is up to bat, asking the jester's opinion on how her serve will go (not noticing Zooble place an ear of corn on the bench beside him). Ragatha partially snaps and asks Jax to stop trying to get Pomni to act like him, saying that making her be happy all the time would at least be better than turning her into a jerk. Pomni tries to knock them both down by saying she can think for herself. Jax rejects the assumption that he's forcing his ideals onto her, causing Ragatha to get at him for pretending everyone likes him when he actually just ruins everything. Pomni tries to calm everyone down, only for Ragatha to remind her of her saying this behavior is alright sometimes. She once again apologizes for her bad nature, being accepted. She begrudgingly apologies to Jax for the situation, and for bringing up his lack of friends earlier, causing him to wipe his smug look off his face. He rejects Pomni's request to talk about that, as he's in a maid outfit, before being jumpscared by corn again. Ragatha asks Kinger how the game is going, who comments Gangle did a home run. Gangle awkwardly thanks Ragatha for her instructions.
Zooble is next up to bat, asking for their eye back. Bazooble has already forgotten about it before serving. Zooble hits the ball straight into their evil counterpart breaking them into pieces, Caine concluding it as a home run, making Coach Dictatorer rage. Zooble accepts the outcome and walks off. Pomni is next to bat, but asks Ragatha if she wants to go as a second chance. Ragatha accepts and walks onto the field to bat, only to find since Bazooble was still in pieces nothing happened. Caine takes this as yet another home run, and the Big Tops win. Ragatha questions the legitimacy of this, but Caine doesn't follow the rules and pronounces them done. Evil Ragatha and Evil Pomni are angry over their loss, annoyed that they didn't get to bat. Ragatha looks back at Jax, seeing him and Pomni continue bonding with each other, before being lifted up by a joyful Kinger over the team winning. Gangle and Zooble also congratulate the team. Jax is reverted back to his regular outfit, realizing he's not a vegan and racing off. He pounces onto a confused Evil Jax and treats him like he treated the red ribbon rhinoceros. Kinger asks 'what is going on'. Pomni finds amusement in this, but stops showing it when looked at by Ragatha.
All the members come back through the portal into the circus tent, as Caine hopes they learned that his adventures are better than the suggestion box ideas. Zooble and Pomni agree that some adventures were okay, and Jax liked his ones. He tells Pomni he can show her something he was talking about in the hall, to which she agrees, making them walk off one way, and Zooble, Kinger and Gangle walk off the other. Ragatha is left alone, and solemnly walks her own way. Secretly, a strange mannequin was watching everything from behind a wall, walking away shortly after.
- #50Episode 6: They All Get Gunsselective
Keys: Episode 6: They All Get Guns · Secondary: guns, Episode 6, ep 6, episode six, ep six
Plot: The episode opens by promoting the awards show that TheWackyWatch.com had been advertising for a week before the trailer dropped. Jax and Pomni are walking when they spot Zooble hiding in a broken flower pot, suspended by a rope on a nail against a blue wall after one of their arms fell off. Zooble asks Pomni and Jax to toss the arm back, and snaps at Jax to be quiet when he jokes about their "make good use of your parts" gimmick. Pomni asks why Zooble is up there. Zooble says they are hiding from Caine because they refuse to join his newest adventure. Pomni asks why they did not hide in their room, and Zooble explains that Caine has been checking on their room lately, and that whenever no one answers he starts singing "Daisy Bell" outside the door, which creeps them out. Jax then signals for Caine to check it out, which enrages Zooble. Caine appears almost instantly, with Jax pointing out Zooble so Caine will not need to snap his fingers. Caine snaps anyway, shattering the flower pot and letting Zooble fall. He tells the three that he needs an even number of members because the next event is a "Team Adventure" and that everyone must be onstage in exactly 5.7 minutes. After Caine leaves, Zooble grumbles to Jax that he never even asked Caine about the singing, while Jax pretends not to remember.
When everyone gathers, Caine explains that the adventure will be short because of the upcoming "Favourite Character Award," but he sees that as a chance to stage his own Caine Leagues, a sports show for circus members to show their strength. He says he was inspired by their previous softball match and promises "cool new sports" invented by him. Bubble, filming with an oversized camera that squishes his head, pleads for the ringmaster to help. Ragatha suggests they could just play softball properly this time, but Pomni wearily refuses. Caine adds that the Caine Leagues will include otherworldly events like "The 400 Meter Vertical Skedaddle," "Bisection Boogie Eggball," "Lateral Hijinx," "Orange Sport," "Ball Run," "Walk Ball," "Run Walk," and "Ball Ball." Zooble interrupts, insisting they will not be teamed with Jax. Caine, annoyed, does not know what Zooble wants. Zooble points out the suggestion box, and Pomni backs Zooble by saying she prefers calm, relaxed adventures. Ragatha approaches Pomni and Zooble, asking if it is true that they do not like her softball idea. Pomni admits she is not a fan of sports, which visibly hurts Ragatha. Caine complains that suggestion-box ideas just create drama, and he does not like that. Then, to everyones shock, Zooble blurts that what they really want is the ability to have sex. Jax reacts with visible surprise, amused that sexual conversations have finally come up. Caine glitches, babbling incoherently as the environment momentarily warps, his head spinning, before he resets, apparently without losing memory. Ashamed, Zooble asks Ragatha if she has any Stupid Sauce left from Fast Food Masquerade.
Caine returns to his point, saying teamwork is essential to making the dream work. Zooble angrily points at Jax, saying Caine should be directing that advice at him because Jax keeps causing trouble. Jax sarcastically tells Zooble they are in a mood today, only for Caine to interrupt with a pun about "assuming" making "an Ass out of U and Ming." Pomni wonders if Caine actually said the word "ass" without censoring when her's got censored, when a mannequin wearing a baseball cap and googly eyes walks in beside Zooble, introducing himself as Ming, offended that assumptions have damaged his reputation. Zooble asks if Caine built a whole person for that one-liner.
Setting that aside, Caine notices the tension and decides to run trust exercises, but Zooble still refuses to pair with Jax. Caine creates a private room for "Person A" where no one outside can see or hear, and he supplies a loaded gun. The drill is supposed to have Person A empty the chamber and hand the gun to Person B to prove it is safe.
Jax, distracted and not listening, prompts Caine to project the instructions as mental images directly into his head. Caine gives the gun to Jax, but Jax shoots Ragatha instead. Caine, dazed, gives up trying to enforce order and allows chaos, tossing out a pile of assorted guns. Zooble calls the exercise aimless, so Caine reluctantly restores teams. They will pair off in teams of two, each character having three lives, and the last team standing wins. Zooble remains unhappy, but Caine dismisses them, saying he has awards show work to do and gives everyone five minutes to form teams before conjuring a beach chair and lying back to relax.
Jax takes Gangle's hand, but she pulls away, saying she planned to team with Zooble. Jax objects, pointing out they have always paired together on team adventures, but Zooble walks past saying times are changing, and Gangle follows Zooble. Pomni asks Ragatha if she wants to team with her; Ragatha apologetically says she would love to, but she plans to team with Kinger to keep him away from Jax. Pomni offers to take Kinger instead, but then backs off when Ragatha notes she will be paired with Jax. Pomni decides to join Jax to keep an eye on him and asks Ragatha to keep Kinger away. As Pomni heads toward Jax, Ragatha asks her to wait and awkwardly stammers that she will be there if Pomni ever wants to talk or needs help. Pomni gives an awkward thumbs up before leaving. Ragatha jumps when Kinger appears beside her, and Kinger is startled by her reaction.
Pomni approaches Jax and asks if he has a teammate. He smugly asks if she can handle him. Gangle asks Zooble to hold her comedy mask because she "wants to fire a Tommy gun while laughing maniacally" without breaking it. Zooble agrees.
The countdown ends and the match begins. Team Pew Pew (Ragatha and Kinger), Team Unmasked (Gangle and Zooble), and Team Bad Guys (Jax and Pomni) find that the weapons have vanished. Each character receives three red hearts above their head, except Ragatha, who only has two, prompting her to wonder if Jax's earlier shot counted against her. Zooble asks Caine about the missing weapons. Caine replies that the guns were scattered randomly around the Tent and that the teams must search for them.
The royale begins. Gangle and Zooble rush off to find a Tommy gun. Kinger pulls Ragatha along and warns her there is no time for hesitation. Jax, on another path, salutes and declares that murdering them all will be his pleasure, while Pomni nervously wishes them good luck. Jax calls her spirit lame and drags her along. As the three teams scatter, Caine watches from above and stares at photographs, one presumably of the office from The Pilot.
Kinger finds a pistol in the main part of the circus and tells Ragatha that their biggest dangers are Jax and Zooble, the youngest, who still have fighting spirit. Ragatha, upset that she has one fewer life, is distraught. Kinger summons a glowing orange butterfly; when Ragatha touches it, it pops and fully restores her health. She asks Kinger how he did that and wonders if Caine told him a secret about the game. He says he just made it up, which only increases her confusion because it does not explain how he pulled it off.
Jax and Pomni search the living quarters hallway for guns. Jax finds a weapon and asks Pomni who she will kill first, and she says she will let him go first. Jax reflects on how the circus is not even real and how the current game is literally about shooting each other. Pomni protests that they are friends. Jax says becoming part of the circus turns people into cartoon archetypes, and that he believes they are no longer truly human. He maps out archetypes: he is the funny rule-pusher, Ragatha is the cheery one, Gangle the sad one, Kinger the wild one, Zooble the grumpy one, and Pomni has not chosen hers yet. He urges Pomni to commit to an archetype and let loose. She does, managing to shoot a can and enjoying the thrill. Embracing the idea, she declares she will spend the day playing "the evil one" and laughs maniacally, which Jax calls "kinda cringe."
Team Pew Pew sneaks through the circus. Kinger momentarily drops his guard and is sniped. When he recovers, they hide and Kinger warns Ragatha there is a sniper nearby. Zooble is revealed on a balcony as the sniper and tells Gangle they think they hit Kinger. Gangle asks if they are safe up there and ducks as Kinger fires back. Kinger tells Ragatha to roll, poorly demonstrating a tactical roll, while she simply runs after him. Team Bad Guys sets its sights on Team Pew Pew. As Ragatha tells Kinger she does not know how to shoot, Jax shoots her hands off and Pomni shoots as well, leaving Ragatha with two lives. Team Bad Guys splits, Jax going after Ragatha and Pomni after Kinger. Jax ambushes Ragatha, who fires a random gun that reveals a "BOOM" flag. Jax flips over her and shoots her head off.
Ragatha respawns with one life and hides behind curtains. Jax follows. Ragatha calls for Kinger to summon another butterfly but is confronted by Jax and becomes frightened. She accuses him of trying to manipulate and "corrupt" Pomni. Jax aims to shoot, but Ragatha blocks the barrel with her finger. The gun backfires spectacularly and he loses a life. He pulls another weapon and mercilessly finishes Ragatha, panting and thinking about her accusation. After losing, Ragatha is teleported to the "Loser Corner," a dark room lit by a large fish tank.
Pomni finds Jax and tells him she reduced Kinger to one life; Jax replies that he got Ragatha but she cost him a life. Pomni asks how he allowed that, and he simply says he does not know. Meanwhile, Team Unmasked, hiding in another part of the circus, find a weapon for Gangle in case they miss the Tommy gun. Gangle worries Jax will be angry and seek revenge if she does not join him, while Zooble reminds her this is a game and that Gangle is a person, not Jax's toy. Gangle wonders how one can like a masked part of themselves when it makes them worse. Zooble explains that the mask represents a real part of her, but the thing Gangle should care about is the real Gangle. Zooble reaches out and tells Gangle to choose to love herself, even if it does not make sense. Tentatively, Gangle asks if Zooble ever had to make that choice, which makes Zooble hesitate. Gangle then takes Zooble's hand. Zooble promises support, and Gangle, encouraged, suggests killing Pomni and Jax.
While Jax and Pomni patrol, Pomni asks why Jax fears corn. He says the pods look like egg sacks and make his skin crawl. Pomni asks if he has trypophobia and what he thinks of pomegranates, which makes him shiver. As Pomni learns more about him, Jax changes the subject, reminding her they are still hunting Kinger. They nearly pass him hiding in a doorway; Kinger pathetically admits he is behind them. The pair fire at him in the dark. In the Chaos, Jax accidentally shoots Pomni, costing her a life. Kinger uses a "Ricochet Super Move" that bounces shots around the room, but when Jax turns on the light it becomes clear the move only hit Kinger himself. Despite that, Jax and Pomni count it as a victory. One team remains.
After losing, Kinger teleports to the "Loser Corner," pleased with the game and impressed by Pomni's shooting. He sits with a somber Ragatha and offers comfort, but she does not respond. Kinger asks if she is sad about losing or something else, and Ragatha reveals she fears she failed Pomni, just as she thinks she failed Jax. She worries she tried to be there for everyone but pushed them away, convinced Jax hates her, that Gangle and Zooble never speak to her, and that Pomni will soon as well. She blames herself for declining Pomni's offer to team up. Kinger suggests she might need a break, that she has put too much pressure on herself. He asks why she feels she failed Pomni, and Ragatha, tearful, says she feels she and Pomni are drifting apart, with Pomni no longer trusting her. She worries Pomni will become someone who does not want her around.
Kinger tells Ragatha relationships are two sided, and sometimes one cannot do all the heavy lifting when the other is not ready. People handle things in different ways, and sometimes giving space is the kindest choice, as long as she remains available when needed. Ragatha admits she only wants to make people happy and fears being hated. Kinger asks if she hates herself and admits he used to hate himself for things he believed he caused. He says Ragatha changed his outlook and that there are ways to care for others without destroying oneself. He urges her to watch out for herself too. Ragatha feels slightly better and marvels at how Kinger sometimes makes no sense yet occasionally says exactly the right thing. She asks how he manages to stay around so long. Kinger chuckles that he has a resilient mind. They then notice Bubble filming them who praises the scene, saying the committee will love it before moving on, leaving the two alone.
Meanwhile, Team Unmasked, each down to one life, are chased through pipes by Team Bad Guys. They hide around a corner and Zooble complains their gun is empty. Gangle spots her long awaited Tommy gun. Jax is out of ammo and Pomni has a single sniper bullet. Gangle, wearing her comedy mask, finally gets her chance to run and fire a Tommy gun while laughing maniacally. She shoots as Pomni and Jax dodge and Zooble silently cheers. Gangle fires around a pipe and collapses it. While they recover, Pomni finds a sniper rifle and uses her single bullet to shoot Gangle in the forehead as she aims, shattering the mask and revealing her satisfied smile before she vanishes to the "Loser Corner." Irritated, Zooble locks themself in their room. Zooble rigs up limbs from their box and arms themselves, and Jax and Pomni try to flush them out by singing "Daisy Bell," which only angers Zooble more.
Jax eventually opens the door with a key he had, but is hit by a flashbang; he and Pomni are incapacitated. Zooble storms out with four guns on their four hands, gunning down Jax and Pomni and making a run for it, leaving Team Bad Guys with only one life each. Pomni chases them; Jax tells her to wait until he recovers, but she insists she can handle it. While recovering, Jax notices doors labeled for a Mannequin, then Kaufmo, and then stares at Ribbit's before pursuing Pomni after Zooble. On a balcony, Pomni takes out each of Zooble's weapons with superb aim, then Jax shoots Zooble in the back causing them to fall. Team Bad Guys stand over Zooble, who accepts defeat. Zooble flips them off with a quartet of censored "birds" before being shot. In the "Loser Corner," Zooble finds everyone participating in one of Gangle's favorite hobbies, dressing in mori cat ears and tail, which confuses them.
Celebrating their win, Pomni hugs Jax but he pushes her away. After some awkward compliments, Pomni jokingly aims her gun at Jax, predicting that one of them will betray the other. Jax casually disarms himself insists she can shoot him, confusing Pomni by claiming they were never a team. When she asks if shooting him will change them being friends, Jax sneers that they never were. Pomni rejects Jax's "indifference" as not true after him confiding in her and their shared experiences, while Jax continually dismisses her as either being attracted to him, insecure, or confused. When Pomni asks if this is why he did not attend Kaufmo's funeral, Jax replies that he does not attend funerals of the abstracted. Pomni sees this as proof that he is scared of showing a human emotion then when she points out the possibility that how Jax's denial of everything puts him at risk of abstracting. This sets Jax off, who angrily asks if Pomni blames him for something everybody else did too. As Jax continues to explode with rage, he points out that Pomni never knew Kaufmo and further explains that before somebody abstracts, they become very unpleasant to be around. Realizing how angry he's getting, Jax cuts himself off and quickly reverts back to his normal smiley persona. Pomni apologizes, and Jax changes the subject by asking her to shoot him, but Pomni asks him what he'd do if she abstracted tomorrow. Jax blankly replies that he'd move on and probably forget about her. Pomni understands, and turns her back to him, still clutching her gun, shaking, while an unnerved Jax tells her she can't take a joke.
Pomni throws her gun at Jax, telling him that he is not the funny one before fighting him by strangling him, throwing random stuff at him, biting his leg, jumping on his back, and finally pounding him on the head, all the while demanding him to fight back. Furiously, Jax throws her to the ground screaming for her to stop, and when she asks him why he didn't fight back, he rages by telling her that she thinks he is misunderstood when he isn't. With Jax's emotional scaring on display, he declares that he doesn't care about her or anyone else in the circus, seeing them as nothing but playthings, taking joy in their suffering, and causing them pain for fun. If he led Pomni on, it was just to make this part hurt her more. He then turns, swears twice, and kicks a Rubik's Cube out of rage, panting. Before leaving, he turns to Pomni and with a desolate expression on his face, claims that there's nothing more to him and advises her to just stop looking.
At the "Favorite Character Award," Pomni and Jax walk through the theater hallways in low spirits. Pomni bumps into Ragatha and they exchange words, with Pomni suggesting they wait until after the show to talk. The brief exchange causes both of them to smile and marks the beginning of a mending in their relationship. They enter the theater and sit together a seat away from Kinger, with Gangle and Zooble a row behind. Gangle and Zooble glance at Ragatha with acknowledgement as she and Pomni take their seats. Jax sits alone at the back. Caine opens the show, thanking the committee for examining nominees and voting. The committee mannequins cheer, embarrassing Caine until he tells them to shut up. Watching the show, Jax feels guilty for what he said to Pomni and rushes to the bathroom where he has a panic attack by the sink before calming down. He sees himself in the mirror and tells himself he looks stupid, only to be distracted by a flushing toilet as Disappearing Guy steps out of a stall, apologizes with a "So-" and vanishes.
Back at the show, Caine awards Zooble the "Biggest Sailor Mouth Award," but Zooble is too drunk on Stupid Sauce that Ragatha gave them to comprehend it. Pomni, who had seen Jax leave earlier, notices him return with his usual smile. She looks at Ragatha and gives a small shake of the head and a smile. Then the "Favorite Character Award" arrives. Caine misreads it as "Me!" and celebrates until he realizes the winner is actually Ming. Ming gently reproves Caine for assuming he won, pointing out how foolish both appeared.
After the credits, with the theater empty, Caine checks the ballot box backstage to see how many votes he received. When he discovers he received zero votes, he looks disturbed and briefly glitches.
