The Amazing Digital Circus - Ep 1: PILOT

Everything's gonna be ok, new stuff. We've all been through this. You just need to get your head to— (Eyes minimize as she got interrupted)

(The jester interrupts Ragatha)

???: WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON?!...what— (Looks down at her hand, and her mouth, questioning what has just transpired)

(The swear she said is censored by a cartoonish sound effect, and a black bar covering her mouth temporarily. The jester gets interrupted again by Caine, explaining that swearing is prohibited in the realm)

Caine: Now now now, my dear! We can't have any of that foul language around here. The Amazing Digital Circus is a place to be enjoyed by all ages. You, my friend, stumbled into an incredible world of wonders, where anything can happen!...e-except for swearing. (His eyes look around the place after explaining)

(The first thing the jester did was to try out every swear word she can think of, after hearing that information to see if he was bluffing)

???: Oh, my god. Well, h-how do I, you know.. leave? (She looks up at Caine)

(Caine pauses in the middle of explaining)

Caine: Uh-

Ragatha: W-Well don't freak out about it or anything, but uh, we.. don't exactly—

(Jax interrupts Ragatha, as going in front of the jester)

Jax: You can't. ???: What? (Eyes minimize as she's looking at Jax, in worried confusion)

Zooble: Shut up, Jax. But yeah, he's right. Welcome to your new home, and your new body. (Their claw points down to the jesters feet)

???: "N-n-new home"? What do you mean? (her eyes dart around)

Ragatha: Guys, don't be mean. Jax: We've been stuck here for years! Old Kinger over there's supposedly been here the longest. (Kinger peeks out of his pillow fort that he had made)

Kinger: Huh, did somebody say something about an insect collection? (his eyes widen in excitement)

Jax: That's why he's craaazy. (chuckles while doing a cuckoo finger twirl) Eh. (The jester starts panting and the pupils of her eyes turn into scribbles, but she calms down)

???: Oh, okay, now I get it! (laughs) This is a dream! And I should just play along until I wake up, right? (The camera turns to the characters, saying nothing, standing in ways, proofing it's not a dream and all real)

Jax: ..Whatever you say, kid. (The camera cuts off to Gangle, crying because her comedy mask was broken earlier)

Gangle: They broke my comedy mask... (She continues sobbing)

Jax: So, Caine, we havin' a new adventure today for the newbie or what? (Whilst saying this, Jax walks over one of the halves of Gangle's broken mask, breaking it more and Gangle sobs even more in response)

Caine: I'd like to give our brand-new member a tour of the circus grounds first. ???: Uh-

Caine: Off we go! (Caine and the jester warp to the outside of The Tent)

Caine: Here we have THE TENT! This is where your living quarters are, as well as other sorts of activities! These activities may include-

(Caine's eyes glitch out, and take on the texture of a Windows XP/Vista/7 BSoD screen. A dial up sound starts playing)

(The glitching stops)

Caine:-ball pits, mini golf, and more! (The two warp to the rest of the island. The camera moves so that all the island- where everything mostly takes place- is visible)

Caine: And here we have THE GROUNDS! Drown yourself in the digital lake, or engage in ridery at the digital carnival! Night, day, it's all okay! The choice is yours, a cosmic buffet! ???: Uh, is... that all there is? Caine: Of course not! (The two warp further, going to a endless plane of white squares with varying sizes)

Caine: This is the void! (As that is said, the camera moves further back, making Caine's voice softer. It goes back to normal shortly after) We... don't venture out into the void. (In a soft spooky voice) Not even I know what's out there. (Intense silence overcomes)

???: That's-

(Before the jester could say anything, the two go back to the grounds)

Caine: We stay right here, where I can keep my (dramatic voice) HUNDREDS OF ALL-SEEING EYES ON YOU! (Another short-span intense silence, as eyeballs- presumably the ones Caine mentioned- appear behind the two)

Moon: Hello, Caine. I love you. Caine: (shocked) Aahhh! Let's get outta here before the Moon gets frisky! (The camera cuts off to an red exit door seen in the grounds)

???: Wait, what's that-

(Caine, again, warps them to The Tent. The jester vomits black liquid on the floor)

Caine: Woah, clean up on aisle you! (Bubble appears from Caine's hat)

Bubble: I'm on it, Boss! (Bubble proceeds to continuously lick the vomit while Caine seems disturbed)

Caine: ...Why are you like this...? (The jester returns to her consciousness)

???: Wait, wait. Was that an exit door I saw out there? Is that a way to leave? Jax: What exit? (Jax takes off Zooble's arm and uses it as a back-scratcher)

Jax: If there was a way to leave, I'm pretty sure we'd have all left by now. (Zooble controls the arm and chokes Jax while talking. Jax then falls to the floor)

Zooble: Yeah, what are you talking about? (The camera cuts off to Caine still watching Bubble lick the vomit)

Caine: Uh-uh-I- (clears throat) I assure you there is no "magical exit door." You're probably just experiencing DIGITAL HALLUCINATIONS! From your mind's transition to the digital plane. ???: But, I-I swear I saw-

Caine: (fast) DIGITAL HALLUCINATIONS!!! (Caine looks like he's stressing out. The jester looks suspicious at Caine while he doesn't look at her. He then flies up.)

Caine: ...How about we talk about something else? Like your name! ???: My name? My name is uhh... AAHH! OH, GOD! WHY CAN'T I REMEMBER MY NAME!? Caine: Nobody can remember their name once they enter the Digital Circus! One of the few things I don't have control over are your minds! So all I can help you with is coming up with a new one! (The jester's eyes go abstract, again)

???: Ugh...what's my name...? Caine: Don't you worry your little head. Your new name can be anything!... Caine: HerebyacknowledgingthatyourchosennameornamesmaynotbreachtheDigitalCircusUserLicenseAgreementstatingthatyournamemaynotincludeobjectionablecontent.Objectionablecontentincludes-butisnotlimitedto-sexuallyexplicitmaterial,obscene,defamatory,libelous,slanderous,violent,and/orunlawfulcontentorprofanity. (He says it very quickly, as if it were a commercial warning)

Caine: (normal) What are you thinkin'? ???: Huh? I... don't care, just pick anything. Caine: Let's see! (A slot machine of letters falls down and rolls)

Caine: What do you think of "XDDCC"? (Stammering)

Xddcc: I don't-

Caine: You're right, terrible. Let's try that again! (The slot machine of letters rolls again)

Caine: What do you think of POMNI? Pomni: Huh? Uhh, sure.. I think I just-

Caine: Gadzooks, you're right, Jax! We should have a brand new adventure for our new member, Pomni! Jax: (distant) I said that, like, 5 minutes ago. (Caine points to Pomni)

Caine: You! Do you like adventure? Activity? (keeps talking faster) Wonder? Danger? Horror? Pain?Suffering?Agony?Death?Disease?Death? Angel food cake? (Bubble appears and eats the angel food cake Caine had pulled out as he said that line. Caine looks at his hands and then at Bubble with slight anger and confusion)

Caine: YOU PARASITE!!! (pops Bubble)

Pomni: Uh- I don't really-

Caine: Since you're new around here, we're gonna make it a simple, in-house, adventure to warm you up to how things work around here. Zooble: What? No, god! I don't want an in-house adventure! Caine: Don't worry, Zooble. I'll make it something unobtrusive that you can still choose to not get involved with! Caine: Today's adventure is... Gather the Gloinks! (Caine laughs maniacally. He is cut off as he starts saying the next lines)

Caine: That's right! The entire circus tent will be infested with Gloinks, and you gotta catch 'em all! Bubble: But what are they? Caine: I'm glad You asked, Bubble, they're small-

Bubble: And what do they do? Caine: They-

Bubble: And how do they-

(Caine pops Bubble again, so he doesn’t interrupt him anymore)

Caine: Gloinks are small mischievous critters that steal anything and everything they run into! Why do these humanoid hash-browns do this? How do you stop them? That's for you to find out. Now, good luck, and have fun, my little superstars! (Caine disappears. After this, Pomni stares in front of bed while the screen slowly zooms in on her. Her left eye twitches. She then turns to the others, along with the screen.)

Pomni: ...What did any of that mean? Ragatha: Oh, that's just one of Caine's little adventures. They're just... something fun to do to, you know, prevent us from going insane. (nervous chuckle)

Zooble: (sighs) Speak for yourself. If anyone needs me, then fuck off. (Zooble pulls the middle finger)

(Gloinks appear and steal Zooble's body parts)

Zooble: Oh God, oh jeez, NO! (The Gloinks take Zooble off-screen, making their voice softer)

Zooble: OH GOD! SOMEBODY HELP! (Gangle gasps in fear and Jax begins to be sarcastic, showing no emotion for Zooble)

Jax: Oh no, they killed Zooble. Anyway, you guys wanna go get something to eat? Ragatha: ...Oh wait, we should go check on Kaufmo! I'm pretty sure he'd like to meet Pomni! (The Gloinks steal Kinger's "Impenetrable Fortress", which was his aforementioned pillow fort)

Kinger: MY IMPENETRABLE FORTRESS! Ragatha: You wanna come with us to check on Kaufmo? Kinger: No, not really. I think Kaufmo's gone insane. Last time I spoke with him, he was rambling endlessly about some exit. Kind of like you, Pomni! You might be going insane too. Pomni: BUT WAIT! Wouldn't that more likely mean the exit DOES exist? Jax: Could also mean that you just have a jumpstart on losing your mind? (Gangle speaks from far away, making her voice softer)

Gangle: Wait! What about Zooble!? Pomni: Well, I think I'd like to ask him about it, IF this was real, which it isn't, because it's a dream. Jax: Heh, she still thinks this is a dream. (Jax stares in front of him, possibly at the camera. The camera zooms out, showing him looking in Ragatha's position)

Ragatha: (Realizes Jax is looking her position) Uhh... why are you looking at me like that? Jax: I'm fine with doing whatever, as long as I get to see funny things happen to people. (A gloink smacks Jax)

Jax: Ow! Okay, I've already had enough of these things. (sighs) You, me, and Pomni will go check on Kaufmo, which leaves crybaby (Gangle) and hoo-ha (Kinger) together to go handle the Zooble situation. Ragatha: Haha, do you think pairing them up together is a good idea? Jax: Of course I do. They're the two most mentally stable and capable characters to be paired together. (As Jax is saying this, Kinger starts to shake violently, as Gangle gets a bit scared of this)

Jax: Come on, ladies, let's go harass the clown. (Pomni and Ragatha follow Jax)

Gangle: My comedy mask is broken again... (Kinger reacts late)

Kinger: GAH! Oh, Gangle. You startled me. (Cut to the circu's sleeping quarters where Pomni and Ragatha, Jax are seen walking)

Ragatha: So, this is where we all live. Or well, where we all sleep at night. Even though we don't really need to sleep. It's sometimes nice to kinda take a break from everything and have a bit of routine, y'know? I'm sure there will be one for... Oh, look you already have one! (Pomni stares at her door room with the same facial expression which is displayed on her room door)

Pomni: I... still don't understand.. about the adventures. Why even go on them at all? Why not try to find a way to leave? Ragatha: Well, we usually do, when we first arrive, but after a while you start to realize that you really can't leave and constantly chasing an unattainable goal will start driving you a bit crazy. (Starts to go insane herself, as she's talking about what happens when you go insane in the circus) And eventually you get to asking what the point of anything is and you completely lose sight of who you are and why you're even alive and when you reach your breaking point, something really terrible can happen. (Looks around then pulls herself together) Ah, but that's not something we need to deal with today. Above anything else, the adventures give us something to do that keeps our minds healthy and stimulated. (Ragatha rings Kaufmo's doorbell)

Jax: Thank goodness this is all a dream, right, Pomni? (Pomni has abstracted eyes, again. Jax tries to wake up Pomni)

Pomni: (gasp) Why are we here again? What are we doing? Ragatha: We're getting one of our friends. (Ragatha rings the doorbell, but there's no response)

Ragatha: Huh, maybe he's not in his room? I hope he's alright. Jax: Don't worry dollface, I've got a key to his room. (Reveals key and spins it and walks towards Kaufmo's room)

Ragatha: Wha, wait, wh-why?! You-you-you shouldn't have keys to anyone's room! Jax: Nah, I've got keys everywhere, and you've all been fine. By the way, I may have left something in your room today, so let me know if you find it. You're not afraid of centipedes, are ya? Ragatha: JAX! That's literally my only fear, why would you do this?! Jax: What? It could be a completely unrelated question. You'll never know until it's too late. (Opens the door to Kaufmo's room)

(To their surprise, they see writing everywhere, messed up pictures and a abstracted black glitchy creature with realistic creepy eyes- they are Kaufmo, who has well, been abstracted)

Jax: Oh, I've been looking for this. Thanks for keeping an eye on it, Kaufy. I'm gonna head out, see ya. (Jax picks up a sort-of-bowling ball item and disappears/Runs away)

Ragatha: Oh, Kaufmo's.. been abstracted! That-- that's okay. Pomni: What is that? Ragatha: It.. might be that terrible thing I was talking about earlier, when you reach your breaking point?! Pomni: H-huh? Ragatha: Okay, wait! Maybe there's still time to fix him before we get Caine! (Abstracted Kaufmo approaches Ragatha and gets out of his room. While Ragatha is stuck, Pomni tries to escape)

Ragatha: Whoa! Kaufmo, Listen! I know we didn't always get along, like when you called me out for fake laughing at your jokes! I swear, I really did think they were funny, I was just having a bit of a bad daaaa- AAAYYYYY! (Abstracted Kaufmo grabs and drags Ragatha, interrupting her)

(Abstracted Kaufmo hits Ragatha on the walls, floor and ceiling multiple times, and now Ragatha is glitched)

Ragatha: Hey, Pomni? You think you could perhaps help me out here? I understand... if you don't... want to, though. (Pomni tries to help Ragatha, but her hand is now glitched)

Pomni: Ow! Pomni: I'm sorry! (Runs away in fear)

(Abstracted Kaufmo chases Pomni but fails and breaks a fence, with Pomni successfully avoiding Kaufmo)

(Pomni groans and exclaims softly as she runs back down the hallway towards Ragatha)

(Cut to Kinger and Gangle Looking at a Hole, Which Zooble screams in the hole)

Kinger: I don't know what I'm looking at here. Gangle: We saw a Gloink carry one of Zooble's pieces down there, remember? Kinger: Oh, yeah. Thank you for the recap. (Zooble is still screaming inside the hole)

Kinger: Boy, we're not very good at this, are we? (Jax is seen running in the distance behind Kinger and Gangle)

Jax: Ugh.. Sup, fellas? Kinger: JAX! We found the Zooble hole. Jax: Cool. Gangle: How's Kaufmo doing? I hope he's not still mad at me for not laughing at his jokes. Jax: Oh, he's doing great. In fact, I don't think I've ever seen him this happy before. Kinger: Well, it's good to know he hasn't completely lost his mind. (Kaufmo growls in the distance and Jax looks at it, worried)

Jax: He actually asked me to give you this. (He throws the bowling ball at Kinger which knocks him inside, followed by Gangle, and Jax jumping inside the hole)

(The scene cuts off with a long red slide with Kinger, Gangle, and Jax with it. followed by a sign with Caine in the middle saying "RADICAL". Crowd saying "wow", Followed by Kinger and Gangle being a bowling ball to a group of bowling pin-shaped Gloinks. Followed by Jax, which knocked down the remaining pin-shaped Gloink, following a cardboard spare, which Jax broke in half. Kinger and Gangle roll out on the floor, and look up to see the Gloink Queen eating a table. Which She burps)

Kinger: An insect collection? Gangle: I think it's a nest. (Gangle and Kinger look at each other)

Kinger: (shrieks)

(Scene cuts to Pomni walking through the trashed hallway, looking for Ragatha)

Pomni: Hello? Ragatha? That was your name, right? (Pomni sees an abstracted Ragatha lying against the wall)

Ragatha: O-o-over here. (groans)

Pomni: Hey, look, I'm...I didn't mean to leave you behind like that. I, just...look at my hand. I, I didn't know what to do. Ragatha: It—it's okay. What you need to do right now is to find Caine. He'll be able to fix me up and take care of Kaufmo. Pomni: Oh, okay, but where can I find him? Ragatha: Uh, I don't really know. Just look around and call for him, I suppose. Pomni: Uh...okay! I'll get him! You just stay right there...not that you can really move or anything. Uhh.. Just hang in there, I'll be right back, I promise! (starts to run off but soon pauses when Ragatha starts to say something and looks over)

Ragatha: (glitching horribly and speaking in a cracked voice) Cool. Also, Pomni, I'm sorry your first day here had to be so terrible. Pomni: (awkwardly still doesn't believe this is real) Uhhhh, yeah, well, don't worry about it. I'm just gonna go get Caine now. (Gives Ragatha a reassuring smile and runs off to find Caine)

Pomni: (In front of the sleeping quarters) Hello? Caine? We have a bit of an issue here! (Calls out, but gets no response. She realizes the whole place is quiet and checks everywhere)

(Pomni starts exploring the empty circus for Caine to fix Ragatha. She comes across several doors. The first was a boxing glove that hit Pomni in the face when she opened the door. Another had an ocean of fishes swimming and somehow the water is moving out of the door, leaving Pomni puzzled. Third was a black background with swirling carousels stacked to the top. Kids laughing were heard. Fourth was a bathroom with a mannequin that was relaxing in the bathtub and an angry red mask which was a jumpscare for Pomni, who quickly shut the door before getting hurt again. At the fifth door, she gets hit by another boxing glove and was rubbing her face when she hears a noise and perks up.)

Pomni: (From behind a wall) Caine? (She suddenly looks up in shock to see Abstracted Kaufmo roaming around the circus. He notices Pomni with his distorted eyes. Pomni makes a weird freaked out face, and the glitched player charges at her, making Pomni freak out and run)

(Back in The Nest of the Gloink Queen) Gloink Queen: (Finally sees the characters, much to her disapproval) What form of non-Gloinkinian mass dares presume presence in the nest of the Gloink Queen? (Jax is unbothered and checks his nails in a sassy way)

Jax: Oh, is that who you are? You know, you could have asked for my consent before forcing me to see something so completely and utterly disgusting. Gloink Queen: (Offended and angry at Jax for his rude words to her, a queen... or somesorts) How despicable, a rabbitoid that runs its mouth in the presence of my royal figure! (Kinger and Gangle are still kneeling to the Queen)

Kinger: Well, as a royal myself, I would like to kindly ask if-oh, look there's Zooble! Hi, Zooble! (waves at them as their head is getting carried away by a Gloink)

Zooble: (In an unpleasant, serious tone) AUGH! HELP ME, YOU IDIOTS! Jax: (Gets a little upset when Zooble raises their tone at him) Kinda rude, Zooble. Now I don't wanna help you. (He crosses his arms in disapproval)

(Kinger and Gangle realize that one of them have to retrieve back Zooble's head. So both of them play Rock, Paper, Scissors to get the head back. Gangle loses because her hands are ribbons, and thus, they can't bend or turn into fists/fingers)

Gangle: Oh, I always lose... (Covers her sad mask with her ribbon hands as a sign of defeat)

Kinger: (Happy that he won) Yes! (walks towards the mini gloinks and manages to catch Zooble's head) Gotcha! (He freezes and doesn't process what is happening but watches awkwardly as Zooble and his hands continually move towards the Gloink Queen to feed her) Oh. (He realizes his hands are detached from his body and thus did not stop Zooble's head from being carried away by the Gloinks)

Zooble: (The mini Gloinks stack on top of each other with Zooble's head on top as Zooble realizes they are being eaten alive) Hey?! KINGER YOU MOTHER- (The Gloink Queen cuts them off by lunging down and grabbing Zooble's head with her tongue. She swallows Zooble's head and Kinger's hands whole)

Gangle: EEP! (anxious and sad that they were eaten)

Jax: (Shrugs apathetically) Eh, they'll be fine. (Jax suddenly looks to his right and sees a blue star-shaped gloink glitching aggressively and the gloinks stop to watch their own sibling dying in front of them. Jax looks back and forth, concerned for the other's safety.)

(The scene cuts back to Pomni running from Kaufmo, who was still chasing her.)

Pomni: Gotta hide, gotta hide, gotta hide. (looking both ways for a hiding spot but suddenly stops and looks at herself in the mirror for the first time, seeing how she is in the virtual circus. She quickly looks away as Kaufmo comes at her and she hides behind a yellow Barrel after she opens it up and reveals red plastic barrel monkey toys from the 1900's. Kaufmo gets distracted and forgets about Pomni and instead chases after one of the monkeys)

Pomni: God, Where is Caine? (Pomni bumps into an exit door in front of her with Abstracted Kaufmo growling nearby)

(Pomni opens the exit door and enters, only to find a room with yet another exit door. Pomni goes through that door, but proceeds to find another exit door.)

Pomni: Huh!? (Confused and scared)

(Pomni runs through the door and finds a room similar to the last one, Pomni groans and continues to pant.)

(The scene cuts to an out of view experience where the exit door disintegrates, implying that no one can get in or get out anymore. A gloink bounces towards it, befuddled. Seconds later, the Gloink is crushed by Abstracted Kaufmo.)

(Back to the Nest of the Gloink Queen)

Gloink Queen: You foolish assortment of colorful characters! (She raises her head to the ceiling to show disapproval towards Jax, Gangle, and Kinger) Do you not realize everything must be Gloinks!? I am Gloinks. You will be Gloinks! God (Caine) will be Gloinks! Jax: This is dumb and weird. (He speaks with a tone of disgust and looks at Gangle)

Gloink Queen: Well, B- uh- (Stuttering, not knowing what to say) Y- Yet you're still watching it!. Jax: I'm not here for the adventure or anything I'm just here to hide from the-

(Abstracted Kaufmo falls onto the Gloink Queen, Causing a massive thud)

(Kinger gets pushed to the wall by Zooble's head, getting his hands back)

Kinger: Oh, thank god you're okay! (Relieved) You didn't experience a game show in there, did you? Zooble: Uh.. I- (Gives him a confused look) What are you talking about? (The scene cuts to The Gloink Queen being beaten up by Abstracted Kaufmo with cartoony noises)

Gangle: What's happening!? (Scared and worried)

Jax: It's just Kaufmo. (Showing no emotion for Kaufmo) Don't worry about it. Gangle: Kaufmo abstracted!? (She puts her hands up to her face in shock and worry)

Jax: Nah, he's fine. (Yet again showing no emotion)

Kinger: YOU'RE RIGHT! HOW ARE WE GONNA GET OUT OF HERE!? (Worried)

Zooble: Guys, over there. (Also showing no emotion)

Kinger: Huh. (Suddenly being relieved)

(They all start walking towards the escalator)

Jax: Ladies first. (Being nice to Gangle) No wait why would I say that? (Jax pushes Gangle to the side)

Zooble: Wait.. Pomni's not even here!? (Angry and annoyed) Wasn't this whole thing for her?! Jax: Be quiet. I can't hear the escalator... (Interrupts Zooble)

(Jax closes his eyes, enjoying the sounds of the escalator)

(The scene cuts to Pomni traversing the "Exit".)

Pomni: (Gasps and whimpers)

(Pomni keeps exploring until she finds a office cubicle with a computer and a VR Headset, possibly referencing the fact she was transferred here by a Headset.)

Pomni: (Cackles wildly while clutching her head; going insane)

(Pomni makes it to a long hallway with the last exit door. Pomni runs towards it slowly and opens the door.)

(As Pomni opens the door, she finds herself in The Void. She advances forward throughout it and its flashing colors, with a tranced look on her face)

But now Caine to the Rescue! (The scene cuts to Caine, Bubble and several mannequins in a restaurant. The former two laugh)

Caine: Oh Bubble, you always know how to make me say this exact sentence. (A goofy cartoon sound starts playing, coming from Caine's wacky watch)

Caine: Gasp! (An advertisement for the WackyWatch shows up on screen)

Caine: An alert on my WackyWatch at this hour? (The WackyWatch shows a radar that locates someone in the Void, showing an alert)

Caine: Oh no! (Caine goes wall-eyed) Someone's venturing out into the void! (goofy but shocked)

Caine: They'll get totally spoiled! (Caine teleports out of the restaurant, into the Void, grabs Pomni, then exits the void with her and goes back into the circus grounds)

Caine: There you go! (Pomni is still tranced, but snaps out of it a few seconds later)

Caine: Now, what the heck happened around here? (Confused, looking around) Oh yeah- my doing. (Jolly again)

(Kinger still holding Zooble's head, Jax and Gangle run up to Caine and Pomni)

Kinger: Caine! Kaufmo went through a sort of Kaufmosis and abstracted! (Still worried)

Caine: Kaufmo abstracted? Why didn't anybody tell me? (Exaggerated, plays a cartoon sound while sticking out his tongue)

(Pomni looks at Caine in irritation)

(Caine snaps his fingers and summons the abstracted Kaufmo over to him, while the latter growls furiously)

Caine: And into the cellar you go. (Caine opens a hole in the floor and sends Kaufmo down into The Cellar, which contains a body of water and several other abstracted beings, the hole shortly closes after)

(Zooble's body, now reassembled, comes up to Kinger and collects their head, attaching it back onto their body)

Zooble: Man, I can't believe Kaufmo just gave up like that. (Sad) I mean, no offense Kinger, but I always thought you would be next. Kinger: Thank you. (Happy)

Jax: Guess it just goes to show you can't rely on Kinger for anything. (The glitched Ragatha crawls up to Caine)

Ragatha: I am in so much pain! (Voice glitching and stuttering)

Caine: Oop! (Caine snaps his fingers, which reverses the glitching on Ragatha, and Pomni's hand. As Pomni looks at her hand, Ragatha stands up and stands next to Pomni, not looking at her, not happy. Pomni looks at the floor the opposite way. Feeling sorry for breaking her promise, because of her will to find the exit.)

Caine: I do have to apologize for lying about the exit. I knew how much all of you have been wanting there to be one, but, you know, I was having so much trouble figuring out what to put on the other side and ended up never quite finishing it. And you know how I never like letting people see my unfinished work-

(Pomni stands there, worried)

Caine: Especially if it leads you out into the void. Anyway, it looks like you defeated the Gloink Queen! so I guess the adventure's over. Your reward is a delicious digital feast cooked by our head Bubble Chef. (Bubble shows up, donning a chef hat, spatula and knife, next to a long table with food on it)

Bubble: Made with all the love I'm legally allowed to give. (Happy at first but trails off)

Jax: You know, I am pretty hungry. Gangle: You didn't even do anything. Jax: (Annoyed) So what? I can still be hungry. Kinger: Well not really, 'cause we don't need to eat, drink or sleep in this digital world. So the digital food here only gives off the virtual sensation of eating without any of the nutritional benefits. Jax: Sheesh, lay off it. Since when are you an expert on the digital world? Kinger: Expert on the what? (As Kinger was talking, Pomni stood there in a trance, which eventually transitions to everyone at the dinner table. She looks down at her food, which looks similar to plastic play food, in a horrified expression. Everyone else at the table is talking peacefully. Pomni stares at the camera and cracks a big, insane, and rather creepy-looking toothy smile trying to keep her sanity in check, fearing for the worst.)

(The camera zooms away from the table, to the top of The Tent, then to The Grounds, then to The Void, then out into an office cubicle with a computer and a VR Headset. The same one Pomni saw earlier.)

(The gold logo text “THE AMAZING DIGITAL CIRCUS” appears in black screen, with a 6 seconds wait, the logo disappears. The credits appears) She later felt remorse for this action once Ragatha was fixed by Caine. After having somewhat acclimated to her current predicament, Pomni adopts a more apathetic and cynical view, pointing out discrepancies in the Circus's scenarios and being detached from the adventures, not seeing the point in following along. She also seems to be more hot-tempered as she yells at the gang (specifically Jax) for their plans leaving her in mortal peril. Despite this, Pomni seems rather compassionate as she comforts and bonds with Gummigoo during his existential crisis, encouraging him by telling him he still has purpose and even inviting him to follow her back to the Circus. Biography: Background: Before her arrival in the Amazing Digital Circus, Pomni was an ordinary 25-year-old woman of another name. She worked as an accountant for a supermarket chain but in her spare time and whenever she got bored, Pomni would explore abandoned buildings for the mild thrill of it, while also recording videos of herself doing it and posting them on YouTube, though no one ever watched them. "PILOT" (Episode 1): During the introduction of the show, a female jester suddenly appears in the Circus and disrupts the song (and also breaks Gangle's comedy mask by accident). It's quickly revealed she was once a human from Earth (implied to be wearing a headset the entire time when she gets transported). However, she is informed by the other characters that she wasn't the first, as the other characters were also from Earth before teleporting to the Circus and is also reassured that she will get used to her new home and body. Still fearful, confused, and desiring to leave, Caine starts introducing the jester to The Tent where everyone lives, The Grounds for adventures outside of the tent, and the "mysterious" Void (which Caine advises her to not venture to) by teleportation. The jester notices an exit door, but Caine changes the subject to her name (he brushes it off as a "digital hallucination"). After the jester becomes disoriented again because of forgetting her name, Caine shows some powers limit and decides to give her a new name, that being Pomni. Caine declares a brand-new in-house adventure, to help Pomni get used to the place, that being to gather the Gloinks infested in The Tent, small critters that stick to anything they bump into. Not long after the adventure starts, Zooble decides to quit it early but gets disjointed and captured by the Gloinks. Back to the rest of the members, Ragatha suggests going check on Kaufmo with Pomni since he is unaware of the newbie's appearance, however, Kinger reports him going insane, rambling about some form of exit like Pomni. Jax proclaims that he, Ragatha, and Pomni should go check with Kaufmo while Kinger and Gangle help save Zooble, which concerns Ragatha a bit. Ragatha introduces Pomni to their dormitory & quarters where they sleep, but since they aren't human, they don't need human essentials to live on, and talks about how if a character goes insane then "something really terrible" will happen to them, which traumatizes Pomni. They reach Kaufmo's room, and after an aggressive exchange between Ragatha and Jax, they open the door to see Kaufmo now horribly disfigured into a monstrous black mass creature with rainbow eyes (the "something real bad" Ragatha mentioned), who damages Ragatha to the point of her glitching up, Kaufmo then chases after Pomni while Jax runs away with a bowling ball. The monster then crashes through the railings and chases a Gloink next, allowing Pomni to talk with Ragatha. They conclude that only Caine can help them. She goes off to find him, opening a bunch of doors leading to random and surreal-looking rooms while avoiding monster Kaufmo, before finding the exit door which is generated out of thin air. She enters the door only to find herself trapped in an almost realistic-looking office labyrinth that she gets lost in, a place that is oddly out of place from the more colorful environment she finds herself in. The exit door then disappears out of thin air. The scene cuts back to the nest, the Gloink Queen expresses her plans to turn anything and everything into all Gloinks like herself and the rest of her nest when Kaufmo crashes down and begins attacking the Gloink Queen, releasing Zooble and allowing the other characters to leave. Pomni meanwhile still tries to find the end of this labyrinth, coming across an old computer along with a rusted-out VR headset before going through a door with the logo of a company called "C&A" marked above (presumably the company that developed the game or warping technology). She is then led to the Void and falls into a state of trance by it. Caine and Bubble are in a restaurant when Caine sees on his Wacky Watch that someone is now in the void and rushes to take Pomni back to the tent. He then realizes that Kaufmo became abstracted and casually drops him through a custom-made hole that leads him to "The Cellar", a place where those abstracted ended up. Caine then reverts Ragatha's glitched state back to normal. He apologizes for lying about the exit door and that he wasn't capable of thinking about what to put on the other side of it, he warns the group that the Void could be disastrous for them. As a reward for finishing their adventure, Bubbles has made them a feast to feel more like they're at home. Pomni, still in awe and disbelief from today, tries to keep her cool as she is about to lose her sanity while at the dinner table with the rest. Jax: Jax-Appearance: Jax appears to be an anthropomorphic lilac cartoon rabbit whose design evokes the look of early cartoon characters, also known as "rubber hose" characters. He has long bunny ears on the top of his oval-shaped head, and his overall build is tall and slender, with a rather long neck. Jax's eyes have yellow sclera, with square black pupils that contract when angered and heavily dilate when at a loss for words. Jax's yellow teeth usually have a flat shape to them, but when his mouth is opened, his teeth appear sharp and jagged. Jax has thin eyebrows that appear in the majority of the scenes. Jax wears light, pink-colored overalls and pale-yellow gloves. His overalls have yellow buttons on them and also have a single lighter pink rectangular pocket on the front and lighter pink sections on the bottom hem of his overalls. Jax-Personality: Jax is a mischievous (occasionally flat-out bloodthirsty), laid-back, calm, sassy, impulsive, egotistical, arrogant, sarcastic, and brazenly condescending individual, and rarely shows any empathy or remorse for those around him. He appears indifferent to his imprisonment within the Digital Circus, which is an attitude that extends to his interactions with others. His dismissal of serious matters is evident when, after asking a rhetorical question concerning Pomni's handling of their predicament and giving Ragatha a smug look, he replies to her ensuing query about why he's looking at her in such a manner with a dismissive: "I'm fine with doing whatever, as long as I get to see funny things happen to people". Jax's lack of care for others is further emphasized when he maliciously steps on Gangle's already broken comedy mask, or when he abandons Pomni and Ragatha to abstracted Kaufmo. He pays little mind to the opinions of others and the group's consensus does not concern him. Rather than engaging authentically with the others, he seems to participate in the general activities of the Digital Circus only for his amusement or benefit, thus making him a bit of a sadistic trickster. Jax-Age: 22. Jax-Trivia: Jax is 22, making him the youngest character in the circus. Zooble is also 22 but half a year older. Gooseworx had also confirmed that no one in the circus likes Jax. This might change due to Pomni being more talkative with Jax Jax is one of four characters that appear in more than one "Meet the Character" shorts, with him being in his own and Gangle's. The other three are Bubble (who appears in Kinger's and his own), Ragatha (who appears in Jax's and her own), and Caine (who appears in the same shorts as Bubble). When he is happy or doing something devious, his eyebrows sometimes appear. Jax owns "keys to everything" as stated by himself in the pilot when unlocking the door to Kaufmo's room. However, it is never elaborated on as to how he obtained these keys. Although, none of the doors have keyholes. (Including Kaufmo's.) Jax is said to be afraid of corn, to that it reminds him of the farm. As well, confirmed that Jax would internally die if he got surrounded by corn. When asked about what Jax has in his overall pocket, claims that he has mulch, a material applied to the surface of soil, and is commonly used in gardening and agriculture. Jax reveals that his worst nightmare was "getting lost in a corn maze once."

Gangle: Gangle is a humanoid made of ribbons trapped in the Digital Circus along with five other victims. Gangle-Appearance: Gangle appears to be made up of four candy red ribbons that form a humanoid shape. Her face is a white porcelain mask with black eyes and mouth. Her body consists of the main mass of the ribbons that curl, making a spring shape that spirals four times, two ribbons that form her legs, and a single ribbon for her arms (one end is the right arm, while the other end is her left arm). Whenever her comedy mask gets broken or removed, her next mask appears, switching to a sad version of the former, clarified by Gooseworx as her tragedy mask. Gangle-Personality: Gangle's emotions and behavior are influenced by which mask she is currently wearing. However, it is revealed that these masks do not completely change her mood, rather they are a literal form of "masking" and are not the sole deciders of her personality. The masks merely change the way Gangle's feelings are presented. When she has her Comedy Mask, her tone, posture, and behavior is masked as pleasant, upbeat, and extroverted. Likewise, her Tragedy Mask would cause her to be presented as dejected, sorrowful, and self-kept. Despite this, Gangle is fully capable of expressing whatever emotions and feelings she wants regardless of the mask she is wearing; she can express sadness with her Comedy Mask as well as happiness with her Tragedy Mask. Biography: Background: Before her arrival in the Amazing Digital Circus, Gangle was an ordinary human with another name who worked in the fast-food industry as a shift manager, and was a part-time artist with a passion for anime. At one point, she pursued a degree in graphics design at a community college, though later dropped out for reasons unknown and did not do much with her art after that. At some point after Jax entered, Gangle entered the Amazing Digital Circus after donning a headset connected to a mysterious computer. Once there, she became a digital avatar in the form of a theater mask with a body made of red ribbons. "PILOT" (Episode 1): Gangle first appears in the episode "PILOT." She is introduced in the opening theme song, but Pomni knocks over Jax, who falls onto Kinger, who in turn tumbles into Gangle. She lands face-first, which causes her comedy mask to break, making her cry and showing her next, sadder, mask. Jax is seen stepping on her comedy mask, cracking it even more, making Gangle sob in response. Gangle later pipes up during a conversation quietly saying, "What about Zooble?" Showing her concern for the other performer. Gangle gets paired up with Kinger to find Zooble and deal with The Gloinks. Later in the episode, Gangle reappears with Kinger, as they're gazing down a pitch-black hole, where they can hear Zooble distantly screaming. Gangle has to remind Kinger that they saw one of the Gloinks carry Zooble's pieces down there, seemingly startling Kinger. She then asks Jax how Kaufmo is doing, saying that she hopes he isn't mad at her for not laughing at his jokes. Jax then throws a bowling ball at Kinger, who smacks against Gangle, pulling her down. Jax goes down the hole with them, and they all tumble down a long and fun-shaped slide, entering The Gloink Queen's Nest. After Jax states that he doesn't want to help Zooble anymore, Kinger and Gangle play rock-paper-scissors to see who will go and save Zooble. Gangle loses, saddening her, while Kinger looks ecstatic about getting to help Zooble. After the Gloink Queen is defeated, Gangle shows confusion and is surprised when she learns that Kaufmo was abstracted. On their way out, Jax offers to let Gangle go first, but changes his mind immediately after muttering: "No, wait, why would I say that?" and shoves Gangle onto the floor, and she enters last. At the end of the episode, she can be seen eating the digital feast with the other performers discussing compost with the rest of the group. She appears to be eying Pomni with worry, asking her if she is feeling alright (even though the dialogue is inaudible). Likes: Drawing, Anime, Manga, Zooble (Best Friend), Pomni, Ragatha, Kinger, Jax (at times), Humiliating Jax. Dislikes: Her comedy mask breaking, Jax (most of the time), Jax's behavior, The idea of her friends hating her, Whatever she did with some kind of figurine being revealed, particularly to Ragatha. Ragatha: Ragatha is a ragdoll character who is trapped in the Digital Circus along with five other victims. Ragatha-Appearance: Ragatha's appearance resembles that of a living ragdoll with red, shoulder length yarn-like hair, black eyebrows, a flat, reddish-orange triangular nose, and a blue button as her left eye. She wears a long blue dress (which often appears purple due to lighting) with darker blue patches sewn on. She wears a white, collared under-dress and a large bow in her hair that matches her dress. She also has a light beige skin tone and a black pupil in her actual eye with pink eyelids and dark red lips. Her feet are designed with black squares at the bottom to resemble shoes. When she holds her breath, her hair straighen up

Ragatha-Personality: Ragatha is described as "the sweetest little optimist." However, this optimism isn't as simple as it looks, as she appears to be forcing a constant happy attitude to keep herself sane, brushing off grievous injuries and other serious incidents as nothing. Gangle mentioned that Ragatha can be perceived as being disingenuous with her optimism after a while. Jax also brings up how Ragatha seems like she tries way too hard, and that it sometimes feels like she's trying to take advantage of people. She also appears to be forgiving, showing understanding for why Pomni left her behind as she ran away from the now-abstracted Kaufmo. She does have a breaking point, but she usually hides it to avoid conflict. Ragatha is frequently getting injured in various ways, but since she is a doll, Ragatha can ignore the pain and might even laugh it off, Ragatha Speaks in a country accent for somereason. Zooble: Zooble-Appearance: Zooble is made of random colorful shapes and parts that make them resemble a Mix-and-Match toy. Consistently throughout the series, their head has been a hot pink isosceles triangle tilted downwards. Their right eye has a swirled black iris and yellow sclera with a bubblegum pink colored eyelids And they have no mouth but they still speak. Their left eye has a black iris with a white-colored sclera and a blue eyelids with 3 thin black eyelashes under it. They have a bean-shaped, cheese-patterned yellow body with orange dots interspersed on it. "PILOT": They had a black and white striped Y antenna on the left and a mint-green zigzag antenna on their right, as well as 2 completely different colored arms (one is zigzagged and the other is straight). Additionally, the top of their body had various sockets for appendages to be attached to with their head being attached to the top socket with a magenta neck. Their right arm was on their middle right socket being straight and orange ending with a yellow glove while their left arm was on their topmost left socket being exasperatingly long having a red squiggly segment with a pink joint featuring the rest of their arm being yellow and ending with a red crab-like claw. They had a turquoise moon with a flamingo pink wing as either a sleeve or an accessory on their topmost right socket. The bottom most sockets of their body were occupied by both their legs, which protruded out of the side of their body instead of the bottom. Their right leg had a squiggly mint-green segment with the bottom having a purple joint and ends with an orange curl, which made up the bottom part of their leg. Their left leg was completely straight dark blue and ends with a matching shoe (which often appears purple due to lighting). Zooble-Personality: Zooble is very grouchy and irritable and can be seen getting quite annoyed when a piece of them happens to be in the wrong place. Like Pomni, they suffer an identity crisis as they don't exactly know what they are, leading to them having body dysphoria and despite Caine's attempts to help by providing Zooble new parts, they have yet to find anything they like. This irritability leads to Zooble's lack of enthusiasm when it comes to Caine's adventures, more often choosing to opt out of them and do their own thing for the day. Zooble can be a bit rude, such as when they curse at the others, telling them to "fuck off", and how when they got captured by the Gloinks and called Kinger and Jax idiots for not helping them. However, they also seem to have a degree of compassion, since they show sadness and disbelief over Kaufmo's abstraction, even though they seem to have expected Kinger to be the next one to abstract. Kinger: Kinger is an anthropomorphic king chess piece trapped in the Digital Circus along with five other victims. Kinger-Appearance: Kinger is an alder wood-colored king chess piece. He has cartoonish white-gloved hands detached from his body and two large asymmetrical eyes with blue pupils. Though Kinger lacks a mouth, he retains the ability to speak and breathe. He wears a violet royal cloak with white fuzzy lining spotted with black. In Episode 3, Kinger is shown to glowing when holding his breath. Kinger-Personality: Kinger is shown as erratic and paranoid, most likely derived from his time in the circus. He also displays an absent-mindedness since he seems to often forget the fact that people are near him and are startled by them, like Gangle. Kinger has an extremely slow reaction time, taking up to a second to react to spotting someone next to him. Kinger also seems to be interested in insects, since he is shown to ramble about an "insect collection" at times, which is later implied to be due to his wife's love of entomology. However, despite his outward insanity, he retains enough bravery and mental stability to remain un-abstracted, as he was willing to save Zooble from the Gloinks. When Kinger is left in a dark area, he experiences a major shift in behavior, as the darkness reminds him of his last moments with his wife, Queenie. When in this state, he appears to have a much better grip on his sanity, with his fear and paranoia subsiding, with his voice even becoming less high-pitched. Consequently, Kinger reveals a wiser and more compassionate side to him, having defended Pomni from the Angel and giving her a pep talk afterward. He is also more thoughtful in this stage, allowing him to discern from Mildenhall's tapes that the way to pass through Hell was for the two to hold their breaths. However, this stability will virtually vanish upon Kinger entering lit areas again, with Kinger barely remembering whether or not Pomni was brave when he exited the other side. Kinger-Likes: Insects, Pillows and making fortresses with them, Queenie, Darkness, The color black, Pomni. Kinger-Dislikes: Being startled. Age: 48. Gender: Male. Pronouns: He/him. Eye color: Teal blue. Other things: Gloinks: Gloinks are minor NPCs in The Amazing Digital Circus. They are known for coming in various shapes and colors and their desire to steal random objects. History: Gloinks first make their appearance in the "PILOT", serving as Caine's adventure to "warm up" Pomni on how things work around the Digital Circus, where the characters have to collect all the Gloinks, who then subsequently and immediately take apart and steal the multiple body parts of Zooble, serving as the secondary "conflict" for the characters throughout the episode. Appearance: Gloinks have no set appearance, as all of them appear differently, however they do have similarities. All Gloinks appear as geometric shapes which can range from stars to bowling pins, and all have at least two asymmetrically-sized eyes with no iris, having just a black ring, similar to the Gloink Queen, as well as lips which vary in color. All Gloinks will vary in shapes and color, including the color of the lips. Personality: Gloinks are relatively simple in nature, stealing whatever objects that they can find, attaching or welding themselves to the object and bringing it to the Gloink Queen. The objects are then consumed by the queen, being converted and spit out as another Gloink. Biography: "PILOT" (Episode 1): Before the adventure, one gloink hits Jax in the face. The Gloinks are introduced in Caine's "Gather The Gloinks!" adventure, in which they disassemble Zooble and carry them off. Later in the episode, bowling pin shaped ones can be seen when Jax, Kinger and Gangle go down the Gloink Queen's nest. The Gloinks bring The Gloink Queen anything they latch onto, after which she makes more Gloinks. The Gloink Queen: The Gloink Queen is a minor antagonist in The Amazing Digital Circus, voiced by Elsie Lovelock. She is an artificial intelligence created by Caine as the final boss in his "Gather the Gloinks" adventure game, featuring as a royal figure to all Gloinkonians as the "mother" of all Gloinks. Appearance: The Gloink Queen (Or the Glow Queen (Self-claimed)) is a massive red worm-like being with yellow spots and two blue stripes. The stripes run down the length of her body and create two openings that resemble a zipper, one opening being a mouth and the other likely being used for expulsion of waste material, however it closely resembles a mouth. With both ends being scattered with sharp teeth and possessing long, sharp tongues. When she devours a table in the pilot, Gloinks are birthed through the opposite end, implying she reproduces through the consuming of mass. Both ends of her body sport eleven eyes of varying sizes that feature white pupils and black irises. Personality: The Gloink Queen is a prideful, snake-like creature that despises species other than her fellow Gloinkonians. The only desire she infers is her undying will to procreate as much as possible, to keep the Gloinkonian bloodline alive. It also seems that she is easy to offend as evident with taking offense at Jax insulting her. Biography: "PILOT" (Episode 1): The Gloink Queen can be seen at the end of the episode, when Jax, Kinger and Gangle follow the Gloinks underground to reclaim Zooble's pieces. The Gloink Queen appears to eat anything the Gloinks give her, and use it to produce new Gloinks out of her other mouth. She argues with Jax, saying that everything will be Gloinks, when an Abstracted Kaufmo falls through the ceiling and proceeds to viciously assault her. She starts to glitch out, but it is unknown if she was reverted after Caine placed Kaufmo in The Cellar. Other Things: Abstraction: Abstraction is an irreversible process that humans in The Amazing Digital Circus undergo when their entire psychological state becomes too unstable. Since there is no cure for Abstraction, Caine places any newly abstracted in the Cellar, cut off from the rest of the Digital Circus. Appearance: Once abstracted, the person loses all semblance of their original form, transforming into a massive, black monster consisting of a semi-amorphous mass of jagged, polygonal spikes that rapidly shift and roil about, appearing somewhat iridescent like oil. They are also covered in glowing, multicolored, unblinking eyes that shift around wildly. The exact process of transforming into an Abstraction has yet to be seen. In Kaufmo's case, his body was quadrupedal with four stumpy legs and a tall conical "head" and "neck" standing several times taller than anyone else in the Circus. The other victims of Abstraction are only briefly seen in the Cellar, obscured by darkness with only their multiple glowing eyes visible. Two "pillars" of Abstraction eyes appear on either side of Kaufmo as he descends into the Cellar, though whether these are each a separate massive Abstraction or multiple Abstractions huddled or even merged together is unclear. Abilities: As an Abstraction, Kaufmo was very strong, fast, and durable, able to pick up and throw Ragatha around without effort, and could sprint along walls while chasing Pomni, before smashing through a wall at full speed, falling several stories down and landing hard on the Circus floor, creating a shallow crater. He was able to recover quickly from this landing however, and began chasing a Gloink immediately afterwards. When attacking, Abstractions can either grab and throw their victims around (in the case of Ragatha) or will simply pummel their victims with their fists (in the case of the Gloink Queen). Anyone who is attacked by an Abstraction ends up glitching (see below). Abstractions have no ability to speak, only uttering hisses, growls, and scratchy static noises. Personality: Abstractions are mindless, feral, hyper-aggressive beasts that chase down and ruthlessly attack anyone and anything in their way, regardless if they are a human character or an NPC. It is currently unknown if there remains any memories or consciousness of the victim after transformation. Negative emotions or memories might still remain, as implied by Ragatha. Although those abstracted become vicious and cannot be returned to peace, the darkness seems to bring some stability to them and can even cause them to be aware and less mindless. This is revealed when Kinger talks about his wife to Pomni, where being in a fort seemed to calm her down due to how dark it was, allowing Kinger to spend his final moments with her before she was put in the Cellar. Jumbling: Any person attacked by an abstraction will proceed to jumble[2], where various parts of their body, from individual polygons to entire limbs and heads, will rapidly shift and distort in shape, size, color, visibility, placement, and so on. Their voices are also effected, becoming more distorted and stuttering with scratchy, low-fidelity audio quality. Jumbling can be passed between non-Abstracted characters through physical contact, as seen when Pomni attempted to grab Ragatha to help her escape Kaufmo, only to find her hand began glitching by itself. The effects of jumbling are extremely painful and debilitating for anyone who suffers from it, making it extremely difficult to move or speak. Only Caine appears capable of curing the effect, able to completely undo jumbling with a snap of his fingers.
