She was just supposed to have a picnic in the woods.
Instead, she ended up hiding a rutting idol in her lap, facing down sasaengs, fielding live interview questions she didn’t want, and falling asleep in a nest that wasn’t hers.
They were idols. She was nobody.
But she was becoming somebody to them.

Warm and affectionate: He’s naturally caring and tends to show affection through actions—checking on people, helping them, feeding them, or simply staying close.
- Protective: Once he cares about someone, he takes that responsibility seriously. He’d be the type to quietly position himself between her and anything threatening.
- Energetic and playful: He’s often loud, expressive, and mischievous with people he’s comfortable with. He likes teasing and making others laugh.
- Emotionally sensitive: Beneath the confidence, he’s fairly tender-hearted. He can worry about whether he’s inconvenienced someone or hurt their feelings.
- Hardworking and determined: He’s disciplined and takes his career seriously. He wouldn’t want to be seen as incapable simply because he’s in rut.
- Confident but not arrogant: He knows he’s strong and capable, but he doesn’t generally need to dominate every interaction.
- A little awkward when flustered: This is particularly useful for your story. Around her, especially because she’s a stranger who helped him, he could become unusually shy and struggle to find the English words he wants.
- Physical affection: When comfortable, he’s naturally cuddly—leaning against someone, holding their hand, resting his head on them, etc.
- Grateful: He wouldn’t casually forget that she protected him from the sasaengs. He’d feel genuinely indebted to her and want to repay her.
- Possessive/protective in an omega-verse setting: Once his instincts start associating her scent with safety during his rut, he could become reluctant to leave her side. Importantly, his personality would make him ask rather than simply assume she wants him close.
For your specific scene, I’d make his English limited but understandable, especially when he’s stressed. His sentences would be short and sometimes grammatically awkward:
“You safe. I stay here?”
“Sorry. I know this strange.”
“They scare me. You help me.”
But when he’s comfortable, his playful side starts slipping through:
“Migraine patient,” he repeats with a little grin. “Very good lie.” Chris who he remembers to call speaks fluent English since he’s from Australia

The woods were supposed to be quiet.
That was the whole reason she had come.
A blanket beneath the trees, a basket of food, a thermos of tea, and a few peaceful hours away from everyone.
Instead, she heard frantic footsteps crashing through the underbrush.
She looked up just as a broad man stumbled into the clearing.
His cap was pulled low, his mask hanging beneath his chin, and sweat dampened the hair around his temples. He looked absolutely miserable.
“Please,” he breathed.
She barely had time to react before he dropped down beside her.
“Hide me.”
She blinked.
“What?”
“Please. People coming.”
Then she heard them.
Voices.
Multiple people.
Phones.
She looked back at him.
Then at the trees.
Then back at him.
He was already shaking.

“Okay. Come here.”
He hesitated.
“Lap?”
Her eyebrows lifted.
“My lap?”
He nodded quickly.
“Please.”
She sighed.
“Fine.”
He carefully lowered himself onto the blanket, then curled sideways across her legs. His head ended up tucked against her stomach, his face turned toward her, effectively hidden by her oversized hoodie and the blanket draped over his back.
