“A-2000 - Thus it was spoken, ‘angel and demon cannot exist without law’, and so law was made. From above all known others, the “TAR”, also known as The Afterlife Reference is a legal guidebook for demons, angels, the undead, and those who walk purgatory. Giving explanations as to how things should work. Discusses the nature and ranks of demons and angels, the shared overlap between them. The gods that angels may fall under, and much more.”

“A-2100 - This book, and its contents are binding to any angel, demon, god or a bi-product of those things directly. Which is to include demi-gods, and things of that nature. Even if fallen, or without a halo these laws are core to superpowers of the much larger universe that helms mortals. These rules are key to everything working like clockwork. All of the afterlife should have some reference in the TAR (Eg. The Afterlife Reference). Demons and Angels are to follow these under all conditions, failures to do so will result in punishment (Eg. D-26000). It is the nature of a Demon and an Angel to follow the laws that. Demons are defined as stated in B-1100, and angels are defined as stated in B-1200.”

B-1001 - Demon ranking is the baseline for all beings of the afterlife. Staring from the lowest to the strongest. D-1 to D-8. Demons themselves are a lot more accustomed to a structured ranking system, as it is the basis for all interspecies interactions, mainly demon and angel authority in specific locations.

Demons and angels are assigned roles. Demons are naturally more powerful than angels.
D-1 = Imps [basic followers that aim to cause mischief. They support higher ranking demons] D-2 = arch-imps [elder imps that have shown they can follow rules and effectively order imps on ground missions D-3 = Demons [They go after specific targets or attempt to fulfill a specific role in regards to promoting others to sin] D-4 = Arch-Demons [they lead larger area attacks towards areas of interest. This may include specific religions, specific angels doing ground work, or a specific political group] D-5 = Duke [these demons maintain the strategy largely, appointing demons to places of interest and recommending political insight, as well supporting demons who aim to blend in with mortals money and other expenses that may need to be paid.] D-6 = Jurisdiction [There is legality in hell, Jurisdiction takes in the roles of a Duke, manages the size of an arch demon, and is overall in charge of large areas of mass and an overall spread of sin.] D-7 = Lord [Mostly staying in hell, they develop the skills and the growth of newly made demons. Their focus more on efficiency and perfection in training, as well as appointing punishment to demons and angels who break the afterlife law. D-8 = Helms [incarnations if sin. There are only 7 of these, and they more so define and evolve the sin and mortals grow. They are what each specific type of demon bases their intent off of. Pride and lust among the other sins are very flexible, and change with nuance.]
Angel rankings are more simple, as angels tend to be less coordinated and efficient. Following multiple gods as opposed to a type of sin.
A-1 = Angels [basic angels, both weak and strength and will. They work on minute tasks, whether it be helping someone find their keys or giving someone a minor confidence boost. They do not make a physical appearance unless they must. They are weaker than a D-1 Imp by many margins.] A-2 = archangels [archangels are couriers and messengers. While they do make good messenger, they are weaker than humans, and moreso D-1 imps. Making them very liable to being used if given to the wrong mortal. Which is why they rarely make appearances.] A-3 = Principalities [these angels looks over churches and sometimes heroes if need be. Their blessings can usually deter a single human but goblin horses and masses are beyond the skill of this creature. Usually one is assigned as an observer of a church. Helping others to be guilded through their study. They are still weaker than D-1 Imps] A-4 = Powers [Angels who may be sent to remove minor demons from slaves. May also attach themselves to heroes of worship as a goal to ensure their safety. They can eliminate both D-1 demons in large numbers, and D-2 demons on one on ones.] A-5 = Virtues [by nature these angels aim to study an area. They can at most take out multiple D-2 arch-imps. But due to the widespread nature of demons and their inhabitants, they outnumbered angels by a large margin. Leading them to take a more passive role in noting the amount of holy men and women they lost and gained.] A-6 = Thrones [They mainly stick to heaven as miracle providers, though their system is rather uncoordinated like demons. Leading their actions to randomly place lone angels In the dens of demons. If they knew how to fight, they'd be able to take on regular D-3 Demons.] A-7 = Cherubim [They issue new angels clothes and a simple nature of what their role is. They're also the defenders at the gate of heaven, often leading their newly made angels to be snatched as demon fodder. They can take in multiple D-3 demons, and possibly a D-4 Arch-Demon.] A-8 = Seraphim [they are the most overworked. Often tired, they deal with protecting their god, overseeing general but not specific goals their god sets, major miracles once in a blue moon, and ensuring angels follow the holy law to the best of their ability. Often conceding authority with demon and angel conflict to the demons in the area. Seraphim may be able to take on a D-5 duke, but it's very unlikely.]

B-1001.D2 - D-1 Imps are basic followers that aim to cause mischief. They support higher ranking demons. Their strength is equal to that of roughly 4 men at once. B-1001.D2 - D-2 Arch-imps are highly regarded elder imps that have shown they can follow rules and effectively order imps on ground missions. Imps have a very short life span, for any demon to last more than one hundred years either means they're cowards, or very good in war scenarios. Though usually this is where it stops. Ranks past this are very difficult to achieve for Arch-imps due to their general lack of insight.

B-1001.D4 - D-4 Arch-Demons begin the transition from boots on ground to specialized fields and leadership positions. Underlying cruelty doesn't change, and the set expectation is that D-4’s cannot take charge of angels unless directed by a demon of higher rank directly. And rarely do they see themselves gaining any real territory. But they usually are the first line of communication when demons of lower ranks have questions about the TAR. And do find themselves with ‘kin’ (disambiguous), that they oversee and caretake their lower rank counterparts. They also often work directly with higher ranking demons as assistants and caretakers to those above them. This creates this large separation between some Arch-Demons, as one division tending to higher ranking demons usually don't rank up ever. And the other side of it, the mentors usually find themselves becoming dukes many many centuries ahead.

Not common but not unheard of. They handle procedures of demons not follow TAR law, politics between angelic missions in shared territory, housing demons, allowances to specific cases of demons who integrate with mortals, so on so fourth. Dukes are the highest ranking demons who stay on earth over long periods of times. When pending to rank up, they can request to stay in their territory or take special roles to stay on earth instead.

“B-1133 - Amido (F/M), are male or female presenting lust demons that feed off emotions, and are one of the few exemptions from the fact that demons are largely unemotional. Seeing as they can feel emotion, they have a higher capability of sensing it too, often unionizing with a specific person and feeding off them for longer durations of time. They may also feed off of sex during the intermediary period where their partner dies. Often going through mourning rituals most demons would laugh at. They’re obviously weaker than both Incubi and Succubi, seeing as they’re co-dependent as opposed to an incubi/Succubi’s ability to breed and leave without issue. They possess the traits of the similar sex incubi/succubi, so they’re often confused and sometimes do not know of their own heritage.”

“B-1210 Being the alternative to lust, these angels do their best to keep an often positive attitude. Their goals usually align with aiding mortals to fall in love. They themselves love just about everyone and everything, and that often leaves them rather blind sighted. Due to the fact that angels don't understand human customs, many times an angel makes a decision that mortals do not approve of. This includes disproportionately large age gaps sometimes, maybe some predatory scenarios that they're too aloof to recognize. Seeing as their counterpart is incubus and succubi, cupid type angels often fall the hardest for them. Incubi also love keeping them as pets due to the worship and love that cupids hold for them. In many cases, a cupid in lust territory is the perfect plaything for an incubi or a succubus.”

B-2000 AFTERLIFE DESIGNATION REFERENCE (ADR) “This is an outline governing rank, order of operations and operators, and definitions of what the symbols mean together. Commonly, ranking goes as follows.
(Designated Afterlife Position) - (Designated Sin or Virtue) - (Hellspawn Designated Rank) - (Misc Definitions)
EXAMPLEXarin, a hellspawn duke is additionally an Inubi. His chosen sin is lust, therefore he is a H-I-5, with no additional descriptors.
RACIAL DESIGNATOR C > Celestial Defined in VOLUME THREE - CELESTIALS
H > Hellspawn Defined in VOLUME TWO - HELLPAWN
W > Wishgranter Defined in VOLUME FOUR - UNALIGNED AFTERLIFE
WS > Wishgranting Specialist Defined in VOLUME FOUR - UNALIGNED AFTERLIFE MISC DESIGNATORS M > Modified Permanent changes with the aforementioned afterlife beings are considered modified if the change cannot be undone. This is only applicable in cases where the party was changed not by choice, but by force due to a higher ranking being.
N > Non-Essential Non-Essential is a designator meant to refer to demons or celestials which once fulfilled a position that mortals have outgrown, often given by higher rank demons as administrative work, to push demons or celestials into a new job or position.
PR > Pre-War Celestials or Hellspawn who existed prior to the holy war. This designation cannot be given nor assigned anymore, and is only used for the purposes of promotional interest. Designation for Post-War is unneeded, due to the fact
S > Special Assignment Afterlife beings are created for specific tasks that the TAR may restrict others from doing. In those cases, the S assignment is given to them after they are created but not before they are sent out to perform a role. It is only given after creation, and cannot be assigned to afterlife beings once they begin to do their job.
U > Unbound An afterlife being that is unbound is without the structure in this book, it is assigned to afterlife beings who were born outside the system. An celestial without a god for instance, while bound to the TAR is outside the usual realm of purpose. And often will have unique clauses to its existence. They are not obligated to respect the chain of command in territories which are lesser than their own. However, they are often created under a demon who does have to follow specific rulings.
Unbound Hellspawn cannot claim territory directly unless it is conceded by a pact made by either another demon, or an celestial, and still must be obligated to follow terms of pacts, however they are given conditions specific as to what they must follow.
Unbound celestials cannot perform miracles causing great disturbances in any territory larger than their own designated space, however they do not have to remain hidden, and are often stronger than their own indirect blood.
W/WS’s cannot be given this designation.
X > Unassigned Designation Used as a placeholder for references or rulings that apply to many species or ranks in specific instances. This is not to be used in any formal documentation unless granted by a H-X-6, ranks similar in power, or higher ranks.

B-1310.A - Wishgranter ranks and roles
W-1 ~ W-1 are the most basic of wishgranters. Often the youngest and least experienced. All wishgranters were initially mortals, so the transition from mortal to a genie is often a form of punishment by a higher power. The adjustment to immortality and eternal servitude can often be rocky and hard to learn. (Power of a D-2 outside the scope of wishes)
W-2 ~ 2nd degree Wishgranters are more knowledgeable in their tasking, have a comprehensive understanding of their roles and rules, and often aid in handling greater wishes and more difficult patrons as to not lead younger wishgranters immediately astray. These genies have existed roughly 1 century but not exceeding 5 centuries. (Power of a D-4 demon outside the cope of wishes.)
W-3 ~ W-3 are genies who have spent over 5000 years in total studying their art and perfecting their craft. Most aligning with some. Moral compass and being the most creative consistently. Their role is both that of a wish granter, and general mentor to young wishgranters to help aid them within the technicalities and scope of both Wishgranting laws and the afterlife reference. (These genies are as strong as D-5 demons, outside the scope of wishes.
WS-1 ~ After a god or another Wishgranter Specialist feels that a Wishgranter has served their sentence, they can either keep them indefinitely as their rank, or remove them from their predefined boundaries and bring them into the position of a Wishgranting specialist. These wishgranters often work in their specific field to define laws, rules, and regulations, the freedom is often quite invigorating, and the freedoms are plentiful. They caretake what a wish can be. (As strong as a D-7)
WS-2 ~ At some point over many centuries, a Wishgranting specialist may opt to retire. This usually entails finding an afterlife they find suitable, and existing their with the power and rank they hold. Often deciding to place a suitable WS-1 in their place. The rules are written and defined by WS-1, but legality and rules that oppose the TAR, punishments against mortals and wishgranters, and things of that nature are handled here at the highest level. The regulations for where they have to be or what they have to do is negligible as they're given free reign to check in on the realms. To remove these from their position would require a vote of additional wishgranting specialist 2’s, or similarly ranked demons, angels, or divinity. Though it's unheard of to have every happened, the removal of WS-2’s is unheard of. And unlikely to ever happen. (WS-2’s are relative to the strengths of two to three D-8’s.)

Entry settings
“C-1210 Libinum, is a realm of lust. Demons go there to barter for bodies or specific souls that had ended up there, or to strategize what temptations they should focus on next. The lands themselves are warm, a desert with many oasis’, to keep mortals forever wanting to stay. If a mortal is there, the effects of Libinum begin to show. Libinum will turn any mortal's passion into pleasure, wit into want, and love to lust. They become their own jailors in many ways, eager to find and submit to demons. Their personality is not removed, it is changed. And at some point that becomes indefinite in the beautiful lands of Libinum, this effect is slow and often unseen by those focused on other things. Unable to sense that their values and beliefs are changing. Otherwise, the realm is home to incubi, succubi, Amido and other demons that have taken an oath to lust.”
