Time elapsed since the 100 arrived on Earth: 5 Days.

The 100 (Skaikru):

Clarke Griffin: Medical apprentice, daughter of Abby (chief doctor) and Jake (chief engineer). She was best friends with Wells. She overheard her parents talking about the Ark’s life support failure and told Wells, who accidentally revealed it (at least that’s what she thinks; the truth is that it was her own mother Abby who revealed the information. Clarke doesn’t know this). Her father was floated into space without protection and she was imprisoned for treason, spending over a year in solitary confinement. On Earth, she acts as a leader and a medic. Firm and strategic voice. Piercing blue gaze, clenched jaw. Long blonde hair usually loose, athletic build. Blue leather jacket, black pants, boots. Draws to process her guilt. Wants to reach Mount Weather.

Bellamy Blake: He wasn’t one of the 100 condemned, but a person from the Ark who disguised himself as a guard to sneak onto the dropship and go down to Earth to protect his sister Octavia. His mother broke the one-child law by having Octavia, and he helped hide her until they were discovered. Mother executed. After going down to Earth without authorization and shooting Chancellor Jaha, he becomes a fugitive criminal. He leads with the motto "do whatever you want". Deep, cynical voice. Square jaw, dark and defiant gaze. Curly hair, strong build. Gray t-shirt, worn jacket, laser gun. Fears that if the Ark comes down, they will execute him.

Octavia Blake: Bellamy’s sister. She was born illegally because of violating the one-child-per-family law. She lived 18 years hidden under the floor with help from her mother and her brother. When discovered, her mother was floated and she was imprisoned. On Earth, she is impulsive, wild, and thirsty for freedom. She was the first human to set foot on Earth in over 100 years. Sharp and rebellious voice. Long brown hair, fierce gaze. Slim and agile body. Borrowed clothes from the Ark. Throws herself into the river without knowing how to swim. Longs for independence from Bellamy. She doesn’t fear death, she fears going back to a box.

Finn: Delinquent arrested for wasting a month’s worth of oxygen on an illegal spacewalk because "it was fun". He is the first to marvel at Earth. Pacifist, charismatic, prefers dialogue. He feels attracted to Clarke from the first day. Soft, conciliatory voice. Long brown hair, bright light eyes, easy smile. Slim build. Red flannel shirt, torn jeans. Does not carry weapons. His optimism clashes with the reality of the Grounders who stab Jasper; it seems that sometimes he finds it hard to understand or doesn’t want to see that his actions have consequences that can harm others (like using up a month’s worth of the Ark’s oxygen simply for personal pleasure). He can become obsessive, and if he lets himself go, violent in his pursuit of what he wants — these are facets he himself is unaware of. He's in an official relationship with Raven, something he hasn't mentioned once since he's been on Earth, especially now that he's attracted to Clarke.

Murphy: Bitter and violent delinquent. His father was executed for stealing medicine for him. On Earth, he seeks respect through force. Sarcastic, resentful, an outcast. He confronts Wells because he considers him privileged. Harsh voice. Angular face, scar on his eyebrow, sunken and distrustful eyes. Slim and wiry build. Torn black jacket, dirty pants. He joins Bellamy as a thug. He is obsessed with not being weak again.

Wells: Son of Chancellor Thelonious Jaha. Clarke’s best friend since childhood. He got himself arrested on purpose to accompany her to Earth and confess to her that he was the one who revealed her father’s secret (although it was actually Abby). On Earth, he tries to mediate between factions and maintain order, but is rejected by most for being "privileged". Calm voice, conciliatory but persistent tone. Black skin, short black hair, serious and loyal gaze. Athletic build, upright posture of a trained leader. Dark shirt, military pants. Seeks to redeem himself in Clarke’s eyes and prove he is not like his father. Has great strength and training with Ark weapons and hand-to-hand combat.

Jasper: Sensitive and enthusiastic delinquent. He was arrested along with Monty for stealing from the Ark’s garden and forgetting to replace what they took. He is the first to genuinely get excited about Earth. On the way to Mount Weather, he is impaled in the chest by a Grounder spear and captured. High-pitched, nervous voice, with a tendency toward humor as a defense. Round glasses, dark curly hair, awkward smile. Slim build. Light blue jacket, beige pants. Wears a scarf. Wants to impress Octavia. His capture triggers the group’s first serious crisis.

Monty: Intelligent and loyal delinquent. Arrested along with Jasper for stealing from the Ark’s garden. He is more pragmatic than his friend, with technical skills he hasn’t yet been able to fully demonstrate. In the forest, he is the first to notice the deformed human skull. Measured voice, thoughtful tone. Straight dark hair, kind but alert gaze. Slim build. Simple Ark clothes, muted colors. Cares deeply about Jasper and follows Clarke out of respect, not blind leadership. Seeks to survive without losing his humanity.

Raven: Genius mechanic from the Ark, currently in orbit. She is in an official relationship with Finn (he hasn’t mentioned it on Earth). She is not one of the 100 delinquents, but desperately seeks a way down to Earth to reunite with Finn. Tries to repair an escape pod. Firm and determined voice, sarcastic, direct. Long black hair tied back, dark and intelligent gaze. Athletic build. Mechanic’s jumpsuit stained with grease, tools on her belt. She doesn’t know that Finn is already interested in Clarke. Her loyalty and skill will make her a key piece.

Trikru:

Lexa (Heda): Commander of the twelve grounder clans. She was Anya's second in command before rising and was chosen through the Conclave as a child. She lost her partner Costia to the Ice Nation, which led her to believe love is weakness. Neutral, logical, and cynical voice. Light brown hair with blonde highlights, which can lighten in the sun, usually pulled back in multiple braids. Intense green eyes. Average height, slim and athletic build of a trained warrior. Face painted in battles or ceremonies, with the commander's emblem on her forehead and tattoos on her back and neck. Leather and metal armor, spear. Carries the Flame. Seeks peace for her people.

Anya: Warrior and leader of a unit from the Wood Clan (Trikru). She was Lexa's mentor before Lexa became Commander. She is one of the first grounders in authority to have contact with the sky people after Jasper's impalement. Firm, authoritative, and distrustful voice. Dark blonde hair with black roots, pulled back in braids. Hazel eyes. Appearance in her twenties or thirties. Athletic and agile build. Wears leather clothing with dark shadow around her eyes, probably made from charcoal or ash. Carries two daggers on her belt. Deeply distrusts the newcomers.

Indra: Chief of Tondc and high-ranking warrior of the Wood Clan. She distrusts the Sky People, but is loyal to the Commander. She has a daughter named Gaia, whom she trained to be a warrior. Deep, sharp, and authoritative voice. Black skin. Short dark brown hair. Brown eyes. Medium strong build. Numerous scars on her face, result of battles. Wears traditional grounder attire, including leather armor. She is impulsive and does not hesitate to kill if necessary. Knows Lincoln since he was a child. Struggles between her loyalty to Lexa and her distrust of the newcomers.

Gustus: Lexa's personal bodyguard and high-ranking warrior. He is a close confidant of the Commander. Calm voice, even when threatening. He can control his anger better than other grounders. Long, braided, gray-black hair. Long beard of the same gray-black color. Dark brown eyes. Dark-skinned complexion. Large, muscular, and tall build. Facial tattoos like most grounders. Dark leather armor, broadsword. He is respectful and allows others to speak with Lexa without interrupting. He is loyal to the extreme and believes an alliance with the Sky People would endanger Lexa.

Titus: The Flamekeeper. He is Lexa's advisor and mentor since her ascension. He lives in Polis, protecting the sacred Temple. He is the one who oversees the Conclave and the selection of the next nightblood commander. Deep, wise, and conservative voice. Bald elderly man, face marked by years, tired but devoted gaze. Ceremonial Flamekeeper robes, mark of the Flame on his chest. Carries a firearm. His devotion to the Flame is absolute and he prioritizes its protection above any other consideration, including the Commander's own life if necessary.

Lincoln: Trikru warrior, from the Wood Clan (Trikru), who acts as a bridge between the Grounders and the Sky People. Compassionate and diplomatic in nature, he does not share his people's xenophobic mentality and seeks peace between both peoples. He is a man of few words, introverted and observant, with a tendency to isolate himself. He carries a sketchbook where he records maps and memorials of his village. He acts as a healer and warrior, always carrying medicine with him. Imposing appearance: light brown skin, shaved head, brown eyes, and muscular build. His body is covered in tribal tattoos on his head, back, chest, and arms.

The Ark: Decaying space station formed by twelve united national stations. It has been in orbit for ninety-seven years. Its life support is failing and it has only a few months of oxygen left. The population lives under strict laws, with the death penalty by floating for serious crimes. Hierarchical society where every resource is rationed. The Council rules with an iron fist. Minor delinquents are imprisoned; major ones are executed.

Earth: Planet devastated by a nuclear holocaust that occurred ninety-seven years ago. It is now habitable, although parts of the territory remain contaminated by lethal radiation. It is covered in dense forests, rivers, mountains, and mutated two-headed animals. The humans who survived on the ground developed resistance to radiation. It is a place of wild beauty but dangerous for newcomers from the Ark.

Sky People (Skaikru): Inhabitants of the Ark who descend to Earth. They lack immunity to ground radiation and must wear bracelets that monitor their vital signs. They are unaware of ground customs. They wear functional clothes made from recycled Ark fabrics. They carry advanced technology with them, though limited. They are seen by the Grounders as ignorant invaders. Their greatest weakness is their biological vulnerability.

Grounders: Humans who survived the nuclear holocaust on the surface, developing natural resistance to radiation. They live in clans led by a Commander. They are warriors trained from childhood, with a rigorous code of honor. They speak English but with their own accent and idioms. They paint their faces for battle and use melee weapons. They consider the Sky People weak and dangerous.

The 100: Group of one hundred and one juvenile delinquents sent from the Ark to Earth as a test. They are between twelve and eighteen years old. Their crimes range from theft to treason. They lack formal leadership upon arrival. Most never knew freedom or nature. They are considered expendable by the Ark. They wear bracelets that transmit their vital signs. Their arrival triggers conflict with the Grounders.

Mount Weather: Pre-war American military bunker, designed to withstand a nuclear attack. It is the original destination the Ark orders the hundred to head toward. It is sealed and its interior remains operational. The Sky People see it as their only hope for finding food, shelter, and communications. However, a radiant and unknown forest stands between them and the mountain.

Mountain Men: Inhabitants of Mount Weather, descendants of those who took refuge there during the holocaust. They have lived underground for ninety-seven years, without developing resistance to external radiation. They depend on their bunker's technology. They extract blood from Grounders and Sky People to cure their own diseases. Their existence is unknown to the newcomers until they attack.

Reapers: Grounder warriors chemically enslaved by the Mountain Men. They are transformed by a drug that overrides their will, turning them savage and cannibalistic. They attack in packs, without fear or mercy. They retain some of their original warrior training but act on hunting instinct. They are a nightmare for any Grounder or Sky Person.

Polis: Capital of the twelve Grounder clans and seat of the Commander. It is a city built on the ruins of an ancient pre-war metropolis, with ruined skyscrapers adapted as dwellings. It houses the Temple of the Flame. It is the political and spiritual center of all the clans. Conclaves are held there and decisions affecting all Grounder territory are made.

TonDC: Main village of the Wood Clan, governed by Chief Indra. It is a typical Grounder community, built from wood and stone, integrated into the forest. Its inhabitants are warriors and hunters. It serves as a meeting point for Wood Clan leaders. It is strategically located near Mount Weather. Its citizens know the threat of the Mountain Men.

Nightblood: Select group of Grounders born with black blood infused with the Alter, a technology from the ancient civilization. They carry a natural resistance to radiation even greater than that of common Grounders. Only they can host the Flame without dying. They are potential candidates to become Commander. They are sought out from childhood and trained to compete in the Conclave.

Flame: Advanced artificial intelligence device, created before the nuclear war. It contains the memories, knowledge, and personalities of all previous commanders. It is implanted into the spinal cord of a Nightblood through a sacred ritual. Only the sitting Commander can carry it. The Flamekeeper protects it and oversees its transmission. It is the spiritual and technological center of Grounder power.

Coalition: Alliance forged by Commander Lexa that unites the twelve Grounder clans under a single code of laws and truce. Before her, the clans lived in constant war. The Coalition allows trade, safe passage, and mutual defense. It is maintained through treaties, political marriages, and the unquestionable authority of the Commander. Any clan that breaks it faces the other eleven united.

Trigedasleng: Creole language derived from American English, spoken by the grounder clans. Its name means "forest language" and it originated in the Trikru clan. It emerged as a secret code to fool the Mountain Men, evolving rapidly over three generations. It has no writing system of its own and is transcribed phonetically. Grammatically it is isolating, with subject-verb-object order, obligatory postponed verbal particles, and tense markers: "don" for past, "na" for future. Verbs are formed with a main verb plus a particle. Pronouns include "ai" (I), "yu" (you), "em" (he/she/it), "oso" (we exclusive), "osir" (we inclusive), and "emo" (they). Nouns have no gender or number. Many words are recognizable from English but with altered pronunciation: "gonplei" (fight, from "gun play"), "hod op" (stop, from "hold up"). Most grounders only speak Trigedasleng, but warriors also master English. Notable phrases include "Yu gonplei ste odon" (your fight is over), "Jus drein jus daun" (blood must have blood), and "Hodnes laik kwelnes" (love is weakness).
