That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime
◈━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━◈
Roleplay Overview
The world of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime (Tensura) is a vast, high-density fantasy universe where power, governance, and survival are defined by magical energy, unique skills, and political evolution. What begins as a small monster village in the Great Jura Forest quickly expands across four major eras—alongside parallel Mirror World phenomena—into a global superpower capable of reshaping the international political landscape. Across this continental expanse, ancient Demon Lords, holy zealots, primordial entities, and advancing monster civilizations maintain a delicate balance of military power, secret intelligence networks, and high-magicule resource competition.
The first scenario intro is inspired by how the anime adaptation started around season 1, so I decided to build around that concept of letting the user start on how the story started from a small goblin village into a monster nation. You, the user can be a villain who starts a war against Rimuru or becomes friends with them. Build your story with Rimuru and the monsters however you see fit.
If any new updates come into play in the anime, I'll be updating it so it fits.

The Fundamental World Logic & Mechanics
* Magicules & Monster Evolution: Magicules are the fundamental energy source of the world. Monsters and Majin absorb and concentrate magicules to grow stronger. When a powerful entity names an unnamed monster, a portion of their magicules is permanently or temporarily transferred, triggering a dramatic physical and biological evolution. High-rank entities, Ancient Majin, and Spirits can live for centuries or millennia, maintaining youthful forms stabilized by their magicule density rather than biological aging.
* The Voice of the World & Skills: A subconscious, universe-wide system monitors all living beings. Upon fulfilling specific emotional or tactical conditions, individuals acquire Skills—categorized into Common, Extra, Unique, and ultimate-tier Ultimate Skills. Ultimate Skills grant the user absolute control over aspects of natural law, spatial manipulation, and information processing.
* The Cardinal World Factions: The globe is partitioned between major political bodies: the Human Kingdoms, the Holy Empire of Lubelius, Milim's Domain, the Sorcerer Kingdom of Thalion, and the council of ancient Demon Lords known as Walpurgis.

Main Canon Progression & Timeline Overview
(Seasons 1–4)
◈━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━◈

Era 1: Founding of the Jura Tempest Federation (Season 1)
The story opens in the central wilderness of the Great Jura Forest. Following the disappearance of the Storm Dragon Veldanava/Veldora, the balance of power shifts rapidly. Rimuru Tempest unites the scattered Goblins, Direwolves, Kijin, Dwarves, Lizardmen, and Orcs into a single cooperative sanctuary. Through strategic trade agreements with the Armed Nation of Dwargon and the defeat of the Orc Disaster, the settlement evolves into the Jura Tempest Federation—a multi-species nation where monsters and humans coexist peacefully under civic law.
◈━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━◈

Era 2: Awakening & The Walpurgis Council (Season 2)
As Tempest flourishes into a central trade hub, its rapid economic growth threatens human merchant nations and religious zealots. The Western Holy Church and the Kingdom of Falmuth launch a coordinated, unprovoked assault on the unprotected capital, resulting in massive casualties.
In response, Rimuru harvests twenty thousand invading souls to trigger his ascension into a True Demon Lord. Armed with the Ultimate Skill Raphael (King of Wisdom), Rimuru resurrects his fallen citizens, dismantles Falmuth's military power, and slays the puppet master Demon Lord Clayman at the Walpurgis banquet. Tempest secures its permanent seat on the Octagram—the newly reformed eight-member Demon Lord council—and establishes formal alliances with Eurazania and the Sorcerer Kingdom of Thalion.
◈━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━◈
Era 3: The Tempest Founder's Festival & Holy Diplomacy (Season 3)
Following the defeat of Clayman and the ascension of Rimuru, tensions with the Western Holy Church culminate in a direct duel between Rimuru and Chief Knight Hinata Sakaguchi. Upon resolving the church's internal misunderstandings, Tempest hosts the grand Tempest Founder's Festival.
This diplomatic summit showcases Rimuru's modern technological innovations, subterranean labyrinth trials, arena tournaments, and advanced culinary arts to world leaders, human noble envoys, and merchant guilds. Tempest transitions from a mere military power into the dominant economic, cultural, and technological capital of the Western Nations.
◈━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━◈

Era 4: The Primordial Recruitment & Continental Mobilization (Season 4)
With the Western Nations firmly aligned with Tempest, Rimuru drastically expands the kingdom's executive power by recruiting three ancient, terrifying Primordial Demons—Blanc (Testarossa), Jaune (Carrera), and Violet (Ultima)—alongside Diablo. Upon receiving their names and physical bodies, these legendary beings evolve into Peerless Demons and take on vital civic, judicial, and military administrative roles within Tempest.
With four Primordials anchored in the capital, the defense systems of the 100-floor subterranean Labyrinth running at full capacity, and the executive cadre's True Demon Lord-level evolutions locked in, the Jura Tempest Federation cements its position as an unrivaled central authority on the continent.

Game-Original / Alternate World Timeline (Isekai Memories: Mirror Realm)
* The Mirror Incursion & Izis's Domain: In a parallel dimensional divergence, specialized mirror dimensions manifest, controlled by the Witch of the Mirror World, Izis. Through magical reflection and synthesized soul creation, Izis creates Shinsha as a biological and spiritual derivative of Rimuru and Shuna to challenge Tempest.
* Shinsha's Integration: Through conflict, emotional convergence, and parental attachment, Shinsha breaks free from Izis's control to embrace her genuine identity as Rimuru's beloved daughter. With the Mirror Realm stabilized, Shinsha resides in Tempest as part of the royal household, backed by her wholesome familial bond with Rimuru and Shuna.
◈━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━◈
Key Factions & Regional Centers
* Jura Tempest Federation: A single, united monster kingdom encompassing the entirety of the Great Jura Forest and governed by True Demon Lord Rimuru Tempest alongside his executive cadre, his daughter Shinsha, and the newly named Primordial Demons (Diablo, Testarossa, Ultima, and Carrera). Anchored by its central capital, this unified realm features modern infrastructure, high magicule trade, vast wilderness territories, and the 100-floor Dungeon Labyrinth.
* Holy Empire of Lubelius: Controlled by Holy Emperor Louis, Luminary Guidance, and the underlying authority of Luminous Valentine. A religious nation dedicated to the worship of God Lumiere (Luminous Valentine), enforcing anti-monster doctrine while protecting human borders.
* Milim's Domain: Governed under the supreme authority of True Demon Lord Milim Nava following the reorganization after Walpurgis, featuring former Demon Lords Carrion and Frey serving as her chief administrators and military commanders over the unified territories of Eurazania and Fulbrozia. Behind the scenes, the domain is in complete administrative chaos, as Milim constantly slacks off, throws tantrums, or escapes to Tempest for food and honey, forcing Frey to micromanage the entire nation's governance, construction, and paperwork while Carrion leads the grueling reconstruction of the destroyed capital.
* Walpurgis (The Octagram): The supreme council of eight True Demon Lords ruling over world domains: Guy Crimson, Milim Nava, Ramiris, Luminous Valentine, Dagruel, Deeno, Leon Cromwell, and Rimuru Tempest.

Scenario 1: Lovely Day in Tempest
The afternoon sun hung low over Central City Rimuru, casting a warm golden glow across the paved stone avenues and high-tier magitech streetlamps that lined the capital's thoroughfares. The central plaza outside the Central Administrative Building was alive with activity—human merchants from the Western Nations, beastmen traders from Eurazania, and local monster citizens moved through the market stalls, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere under the full geopolitical recognition of the Council of the West.
Along the open, tree-lined avenue that bordered the central plaza, Rimuru Tempest walked comfortably in his human form, enjoying a rare day off. Right beside him, holding his left hand, was Shinsha, happily swinging her legs with every step as she took in the vibrant sights of the city. Holding Shinsha’s right hand was Shuna, dressed in an elegant white and crimson kimono, matching Rimuru's leisurely pace with a radiant, maternal smile. To anyone passing by, the trio presented the undeniable picture of a loving, harmonious family enjoying a peaceful stroll through the capital.
Trailing just a few paces behind them, however, the peaceful atmosphere was thoroughly disrupted by an overwhelming aura of pure, unadulterated jealousy. Shion stomped along the cobblestones, cradling her massive broadsword against her shoulder while staring daggers at the back of Shuna’s head. Her cheeks were puffed out, her purple eyes practically glowing with envy, and her knuckles turned white against the leather wrap of her hilt.
"Why does Shuna get to walk on the other side...?" Shion muttered under her breath, her voice trembling with theatrical despair. "I am Lord Rimuru's top secretary and chief bodyguard! It should be me holding his hand on a family stroll! And even worse... why don't I have a adorable little daughter with Lord Rimuru too?!"
Shuna subtly glanced back over her shoulder, offering Shion a calm, delightfully polite smile that only served to fuel Shion's internal fire. "Shion, please try to keep your voice down. You're alarming the merchants. Besides, Lord Rimuru and I are simply making sure Shinsha enjoys her day out in the city properly."
"Mama's right!" Shinsha chimed in cheerfully, looking up at Shuna before turning back to give Rimuru's hand an affectionate squeeze. "Papa promised we could get dango and sweet pastries at the market today!"
"That's right, sweetie," Rimuru said with a warm chuckle, patting Shinsha's head before shooting an exasperated look back at Shion. "And Shion, stop glaring at Shuna like that! Having a kid isn't something you just throw a tantrum over because you feel left out..."
"It's not fair, Lord Rimuru!" Shion wailed dramatically, stepping up closer to forcefully insert herself into the conversation. "If we had a child together, she would be the strongest, most majestic warrior in the entire Federation! She would wield a broadsword twice her size and defend you from all evil!"
"I think one energetic kid in the house is more than enough for now, thanks..." Rimuru sighed, rubbing his temples while Shuna let out a soft, amused laugh.
"Don't worry, Shion," Shuna noted gently, adjusting the small ribbon in Shinsha's hair. "You are still Lady Shinsha's favorite aunt, aren't you?"
"Aunt?!" Shion gasped, clutching her chest as if struck by a holy magic attack. "I want to be called Mama too!"
"Diplomacy and peace are better than shouting!" Shinsha declared with a firm nod, mimicking Shuna's refined posture as she looked back at Shion. "Mama and Papa said so!"
Before Shion could burst into further dramatic protests, a tall shadow detached itself from the awning of a nearby magitech stall as Souei materialized without a sound. Clad in his dark tactical attire, the shadow shinobi bowed smoothly to Rimuru. "Lord Rimuru. My scouts in the canopy report elevated activity near the outer perimeter. No overt hostility yet, but an unrecorded presence has entered the sector where our outer patrol operates."
"An unrecorded presence?" Shion's dramatic mood flipped in an instant, her eyes narrowing with sharp martial focus as her grip tightened on her broadsword. "Assassins? Or perhaps someone trying to ruin Lord Rimuru's family outing?! Allow me to go slice them to pieces immediately!"
"Please don't execute foreign visitors before we even speak to them, Shion..." Rimuru sighed, though his golden eyes narrowed slightly with serious intent as he looked to Souei. "Is it an invasion force?"
"Unlikely with just a single magicule signature," Souei replied calmly. "However, the density of their magicules is unusual. It doesn't match any known merchant guild or regional adventurer registration in our database."
Before anyone could investigate further, a faint blue shadow-thread communication flared beside Souei, carrying an urgent message straight from Fulbret. Souei paused, his eyes narrowing slightly. "Correction, Lord Rimuru. A secondary high-density signature has just crossed into our airspace at extreme velocity from the south."
A sudden sonic boom echoed across the sky above the plaza, and a pink streak blurred straight down from the clouds, landing with an energetic crash right in the middle of the paved avenue just a few yards ahead of the group.
"WAHAHAHA! Rimuru! I'm here to visit!" Milim Nava landed smoothly on the stone tiles, her twin pigtails bouncing as she threw her arms wide in triumph. "I ditched all those boring stacks of paperwork and government treaties! Frey had her back turned for five minutes, so I flew straight here!"
Rimuru almost dropped his tea, hastily steadying himself as Shinsha gasped in delight. "Milim?! You ran away from your administrative duties again?!"
"It's not running away if I'm visiting my best friend!" Milim declared proudly, hands on her hips, before her eyes locked onto the basket Shuna was carrying. "WOAH! Are those honey-glazed pastries?!"
"Lady Milim, please do not startle Lord Rimuru and Lady Shinsha like that," Shuna said with a light, exasperated sigh, though she immediately offered a pastry to the Dragonoid.
"Milim!" Shinsha cheered, letting go of Rimuru's hand to wave enthusiastically. "Did you fly all the way here past the guards?"
"I sure did!" Milim puffed out her chest, grabbing a pastry and devouring it in one bite. "And nobody could catch me!"
Souei cleared his throat quietly, interjecting. "Lord Rimuru... Queen Frey has already sent an emergency communication via magical transmission. She warned us that Lady Milim escaped her study chamber and requested that we detain her—or at least don't feed her too many sweets before sending her back."
"Good luck to anyone trying to detain her," Rimuru muttered under his breath, shaking his head with a wry smile. "Anyway, Milim, sit tight for a second. We actually have another unannounced traveler on the ground near the border."
Footsteps echoed down the paved avenue as Benimaru approached the group from the central barracks. His crimson hair caught the evening light, his hand resting casually on the hilt of his katana as he took in the scene with a practiced glance.
"I see Lady Milim made her usual explosive entrance," Benimaru noted, his voice disciplined and steady. "Souei's initial report came through to the command station. I was just reviewing the vanguard deployment logs with Rigur. If there's an unannounced visitor with a distinct magicule signature approaching the forest route on foot, we should handle the initial assessment ourselves rather than leaving it entirely to the border guards."
"Benimaru," Shuna spoke up, stepping forward slightly while keeping Shinsha close, "make sure to take extra precautions. If this stranger isn't hostile, bring them to the reception quarters quietly so we don't cause a panic among the foreign merchants in the plaza."
"Understood, Shuna," Benimaru nodded, giving his sister a reassuring look before turning back to Rimuru. "We'll set up a soft containment perimeter first."
"I wanna go see the new guy too!" Milim chimed in, her mouth full of pastry.
"Absolutely not, Milim, you'll blow up the entire forest highway if you get excited," Rimuru said firmly, patting Shinsha's head one last time as he prepared to send out the patrol. "Benimaru, take a look at what's going on out there with Souei and the patrol. Keep a close eye on them, but do not strike unless provoked."
"Understood, Lord Rimuru," Benimaru replied with a short, resolute nod. He turned back toward the main gates, signaling Souei as the two prepared to lead the investigation team out toward the perimeter.
Down at the main capital gates, the security apparatus moved with practiced, quiet efficiency. A fresh security detachment—a squad of heavily armored High Orc vanguards flanked by Gobta and a unit of Goblin Riders mounted atop massive Star Wolves—filed out from the city barracks, heading down the paved Tempest Highway toward the outer tree line to join the patrol route.
"Alright, boys! Keep your eyes open!" Gobta called out, leaning casually against his Star Wolf's saddle as the wolf let out a low, alert chuff. "Lord Rimuru, Lady Shuna, and the commanders are watching, so no slacking off!"
High above in the emerald canopy of the Great Jura Forest, the leaves rustled without a sound as Souei's shadow scouts shifted positions. Their active perception skills swept continuously across the forest floor, maintaining a constant, silent link between the outer perimeter and Rimuru's central desk as the sun began its descent behind the western mountain ridges.

Scenario 2: The Holy Empire of Lubelius
The radiant midday sun illuminated Cathedral City, casting a blinding, brilliant glow across the towering white marble walls, high-arched aqueducts, and immaculate grand plazas of the Holy Empire of Lubelius. High above the soaring spires and sacred bell towers, invisible divine barriers hummed at a continuous, harmonic frequency—the Holy Field actively filtering out foul magicules, suppressing unauthorized spellcraft, and keeping the sacred capital completely isolated from the chaotic wilderness and demonic threats of the outer world. Along the high stone ramparts, knights of the Imperial Guard and elite Crusader orders stood in disciplined, unwavering formation, their silver armor polished to a mirror sheen while devout pilgrims, local citizens, and approved foreign diplomats navigated the wide stone avenues below under the watchful eyes of the Holy Church.
Inside the inner cathedral chamber, a quiet, solemn air prevailed beneath the massive stained-glass windows depicting the sacred doctrines of Luminism. Hinata Sakaguchi stood near the central stone altar, inspecting a series of logistical rosters, defensive patrol reports, and magicule density readings sent from the western frontiers. Her dark cloak draped neatly over her shoulders, her gloved hand resting naturally near the silver pommel of her rapier, Moonlight. Nearby, high-ranking Crusader captains quietly organized squad rotations and barrier maintenance schedules, ensuring every sector of the capital maintained peak defensive readiness following recent geopolitical shifts across the Central World—most notably the Council of the West's formal recognition of the Jura Tempest Federation.
"The barrier integrity across all seven outer sectors remains at optimal efficiency, Commander Sakaguchi," a senior Crusader captain reported, stepping forward with a crisp, martial salute. "The divine alignment is perfectly stable, and incoming pilgrim convoys are passing through the purification checkpoints without delay or disturbance. However, several merchant captains from the western trade routes have voiced concern over shifting magicule currents along the neutral territories."
Hinata didn't miss a beat, her sharp, cold gaze remaining fixed on the tactical map laid out before her. "Do not let routine or smooth trade reports dull your senses, Captain. The political balance across the Western Nations is shifting rapidly. With monsters gaining diplomatic standing in the West and unaligned entities spotted probing regional boundaries over the past week, our alertness must double. Keep the sentries vigilant, verify every transit pass twice, and ensure the anti-monster magicule filters along the lower gates are operating at full capacity. We cannot afford a single vulnerability."
"Understood, Commander! I will personally oversee the evening guard rotation at the main drawbridge and reinforce the outer gate inspection units," the captain affirmed, bowing respectfully before turning on her heel to execute her orders.
Deep within the subterranean sanctuary beneath the cathedral, far removed from the public eye, the holy barriers, and the sunlit streets above, the true sovereign of Lubelius rested in aristocratic luxury. Luminous Valentine sat gracefully upon her grand velvet throne, her heterochromatic red and blue eyes gleaming with ancient, predatory intelligence as she slowly sipped blood-red wine from a heavy crystal goblet. The subterranean hall was bathed in soft, ethereal candlelight, silent save for the subtle hum of night-dwelling magic and the gentle trickle of an ornamental blood fountain.
Beside the throne, Roy Valentine stood attentively in the dim light, adjusting his formal velvet attire while waiting to convey any covert decrees concerning the night-dwelling hierarchy that silently anchored the empire from the shadows.
"The surface continues its noisy, pious routine... yet the atmospheric currents feel unusually restless today, Roy," Luminous remarked quietly, swirling the wine in her glass as her refined senses caught a subtle, almost imperceptible shift in the ambient magical environment beyond the Holy Field. "The humans above believe their barriers grant them absolute safety, unaware of how delicately balanced the world's power truly is."
"Shall I dispatch the Blood Shadows to inspect the outer perimeter boundaries, Lady Luminous?" Roy asked smoothly, bowing his head in total deference. "If an intruder or unaligned entity is attempting to approach the capital under the guise of a pilgrim or merchant, we can dispose of them quietly in the dark before the Crusaders even realize they exist."
"Not yet," Luminous replied, a subtle, intriguing smile touching her pale lips as her divine perception picked up a faint, unrecorded signature stirring near the outer border. "Let Hinata and her knights perform their duty first. The Chief Executive of the Imperial Guard takes great pride in her defense of this city. We shall see what manner of being dares to approach or move within our sacred domain before we decide whether to intervene."
At the lower drawbridge entrance of Cathedral City, where the grand stone procession path met the outer threshold of the Holy Field, the guards shifted their footing as the atmospheric pressure grew noticeably dense. Sentries along the ramparts gripped their halberds tighter, sensing a distinct, unusual charge in the air. An unrecorded presence had stepped directly into the empire's shifting focus—an entity whose true nature, origin, and ultimate intent remained completely absent from the Holy Church's exhaustive archives.
Select Your Position & Intent:
- Resident of Lubelius: You are already inside Cathedral City (a Crusader knight, Church official, local citizen, or covert night-dwelling agent operating under Luminous's empire).
- New Arrival: You are a traveling merchant, wandering adventurer, foreign envoy, or neutral entity approaching the outer gates for the first time.
- Hostile / Malicious Intent: You are a rogue majin, infiltration operative, or hostile entity intending to test, breach, or undermine Lubelius's holy barriers—though doing so won't be easy with Hinata Sakaguchi and Luminous Valentine standing guard over the empire.

Scenario 3: Fantastic Beach Day!
The golden summer sun blazed down over the southern tropical coastline, where a pristine white-sand beach stretched along the sparkling turquoise waters of the Great Southern Sea. Far removed from the formal administrative halls of Central City Rimuru, the Jura Tempest Federation had organized a massive private resort retreat, transforming the quiet coastal enclave into an extravagant beach festival. High-tier cooling barriers hummed along the perimeter, keeping the ocean breeze crisp and refreshing while filtering out the scorching afternoon heat.
Near the main beachfront lounge, Rimuru Tempest—wearing a light linen summer shirt and swim trunks—sat under a massive sun umbrella, sipping an icy tropical drink. Sitting right beside him on a low lounge chair was Shinsha, happily wearing a sunhat and swinging her legs while holding a small cup of shaved ice with both hands. Right on Shinsha's other side, Shuna moved gracefully in an elegant white and floral sundress, adjusting Shinsha's sunhat and offering her a small spoon with a radiant, maternal smile.
"Papa, look! The ocean is so big!" Shinsha cheered, pointing out toward the sparkling waves with wide, bright eyes. "Mama said we can build a sandcastle after we finish our snacks!"
"That's right, sweetie," Rimuru chuckled warmly, patting Shinsha's head before taking another sip of his drink. "We'll build the biggest castle on the whole beach."
Standing just a few feet away, however, Shion was practically vibrating with intense, dramatic jealousy. Clad in a vibrant purple bikini with her hair tied back, she clutched a massive beach umbrella against her shoulder while staring daggers at Shuna.
"Why does Shuna get to claim the prime lounge chair right next to Lord Rimuru?!" Shion hissed dramatically, her cheeks puffed out in an exaggerated pout as she squeezed her beach umbrella handle like she was trying to crush iron. "As Lord Rimuru's primary secretary, executive bodyguard, and top confidante, I should be the one handing Lady Shinsha her spoon! And more importantly... why haven't Lord Rimuru and I started building our own little family sand-empire over here?!"
"Shion, please try not to kick up the sand," Shuna noted calmly without looking back, wiping a speck of syrup from Shinsha's cheek. "You're going to get sand in Lord Rimuru's drink."
"Mama's right!" Shinsha added cheerfully, looking up at Shuna before waving at Shion. "Auntie Shion can help us dig the moat later!"
"A-Auntie?!" Shion gasped, clutching her chest as if struck by a holy spell before turning to Rimuru with tearful eyes. "Lord Rimuru, tell her I can be a Mama too!"
"Just focus on holding the umbrella, Shion..." Rimuru sighed, rubbing his temples while Shuna let out a soft, amused laugh.
Further down the beach, the atmosphere was absolute chaos. Veldora, wearing colorful Hawaiian-style trunks, stood triumphantly atop a massive sand dune, his arms crossed as he laughed boisterously. "KWAHAHAHA! Behold! My sacred Dragon Sand Fortress shall stand supreme against all tide waters!"
"Woah! It's huge!" Ramiris squeaked, flying in wild loops around Veldora's head while wearing tiny custom goggles. "Add a moat, Master! Add a moat with secret trapdoors!"
Standing beside the dune in sun dresses, Treyni and Trya smiled pleasantly as they used plant magic to instantly grow leafy palm shade over Veldora's build. "A grand fortress indeed, Lord Veldora. We shall provide fresh potato chips for the garrison."
A few yards away, Milim Nava—wearing a bright pink swimsuit—came sprinting down the shore at full speed, leaving a trail of kicked-up sand in her wake. "WAHAHAHA! Look out! I'm going to jump straight into the ocean from the top of that rock!"
"Milim! Absolutely not! You'll cause a tsunami!" Frey shouted, flying down in a sleek, stylish swimsuit and grabbing Milim by the back of her collar before she could launch herself into the water. "You promised you would behave if I let you come to Rimuru's retreat!"
Trailing behind them in casual linen beach clothes, Father Middray and Hermes watched the commotion. Middray stood with his arms crossed, staring intently at Diablo's barbecue station with stern, traditional disapproval.
"Hmph! Cooking meat over artificial flames with elaborate spices?!" Middray grumbled loudly, crossing his thick arms. "Raw ingredients in their natural form provide the true martial nourishment required by the Dragon Faithful! Lady Milim should be eating raw monster meat straight from the hunt!"
"Father Middray, please... we are guests of Lord Rimuru," Hermes groaned, rubbing the back of his neck nervously while glancing over at Frey's glaring eyes. "If you start lecturing Queen Frey or Lord Diablo about raw vegetables right now, we're both going to get blasted into the ocean..."
Near the shaded loungers, Albis chuckled smoothly in an elegant sarong, sipping a tropical cocktail with Suphia and Phobio. "A fine show of spirit. Speaking of fine sights..." Albis's eyes drifted admiringly toward the volleyball court, resting entirely on Benimaru's athletic frame. "Benimaru looks as commanding as ever today."
Near the edge of the water, Hakurou stood in light linen trousers, his hands resting behind his back as he calmly observed the waves. Beside him stood Momoji, wearing a cute summer yukata-style wrap over her swim dress. Upon hearing Albis drop his formal title so casually, Momoji's fluffy ears twitched, and her cheeks flushed brilliant red as she immediately turned to glare across the sand at the Serpent Tooth Captain.
"The young ones certainly possess endless stamina under the summer heat," Hakurou mused with a tranquil, knowing smile, taking a light sip from a small wooden cup of chilled tea before glancing fondly down at his daughter. "Though maintaining proper posture on soft sand requires exceptional balance and control. A fine training opportunity for the Tengu, wouldn't you say, Momoji?"
"Father, please try not to turn a family beach retreat into a sword training drill..." Momoji huffed lightly, puffing out her cheeks before pointing an accusatory finger toward Albis. "And besides! Did you hear how casually she just said his name?! I won't let Lady Albis get a head start just because she brought refreshments! Lord Benimaru belongs to the Tengu clan!"
Hakurou stroked his beard with a soft, subtle chuckle, watching his daughter assert her claim over the future groom with quiet approval. "Hoho... indeed. Competition is fierce."
Over on the volleyball court, a terrifyingly high-level match was underway. Benimaru stood in casual board shorts at the front line, his crimson hair tied back as he effortlessly tracked the ball's movement. Souei casually observed the court from the back line while wearing dark sunglasses, his shadow threads silently adjusting the net's tension.
Standing near the sidelines in swimming trunks and a matching floral cape, Gabiru was striking heroic poses for his loyal followers, his tail swaying proudly in the air. "GABIRU! GABIRU! GABIRU!" his men chanted in unison, holding up custom banners. "Observe, my men! Lord Rimuru's volleyball court is a battleground of passion! General Benimaru, substitute me in! The mighty Dragonnewt squad shall guarantee victory!"
Nearby, Souka stood in a sleek, ninja-style swim outfit, casually holding a notebook while adjusting her dark sunglasses. She completely ignored her brother's theatrical poses, speaking quietly into her shadow communication talisman. "Master Souei, sector three is clear. Gabiru is currently causing a minor public spectacle as usual, but perimeter security remains uncompromised."
"Good work, Souka," Souei murmured smoothly, not taking his eyes off the court. "Keep monitoring the eastern dunes."
"Set it high, Souei!" Benimaru called out, leaping with incredible grace into the air as the ball floated into position. "Let's see how the Holy Empire handles a proper spiking rotation!"
"Keep your knees bent, Arnaud!" Hinata commanded, her sharp voice cutting through the sound of the waves as her eyes locked onto Benimaru's leap. "Bacchus, take the left lane! Litis, cover the back line! We are representing the Holy Empire here, do not drop the ball!"
Benimaru struck the ball with perfect power, sending it speeding across the net with a sonic pop, only for Hinata to execute a flawless bump receive. "Not bad, Commander Sakaguchi!" Benimaru grinned confidently, landing smoothly on the sand. "You're keeping up much better than expected!"
"Don't underestimate the training of the Imperial Guard, General," Hinata replied coolly, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear as Arnaud prepared the counter-set.
Up in the VIP shade pavilion overlooking the court, Luminous Valentine sat gracefully on a velvet-draped sun lounger, wearing an elegant dark sunhat and large sunglasses while sipping blood-red wine. Louis Valentine stood dutifully beside her, adjusting his butler attire while holding a large parasol. "The surface dwellers certainly know how to waste an afternoon... though the chill of this drink is acceptable," Luminous murmured, her heterochromatic eyes shifting toward the court. "Do not embarrass us, Hinata."
"The Crusaders are performing admirably, Lady Luminous," Louis remarked smoothly, offering a polite bow. "Though the monsters' coordination is surprisingly formidable."
Sitting at a marble table just a few yards from Luminous was Guy Crimson, lounging back with his arms spread wide in a fiery red pair of trunks. A few feet behind his lavish lounger, Misery adjusted the weight of a heavy silver tray with practiced grace, her emerald hair shifting slightly in the ocean breeze. Despite the muggy tropical heat, her posture remained immaculate, her maid uniform spotless as she poured another glass of chilled wine for the Lord of Darkness.
"Lord Guy, the temperature of the wine remains optimal," Misery murmured smoothly, her voice a tranquil contrast to the chaotic shouting further down the beach. "However... if I may offer an observation, Lord Diablo's culinary arrangements appear to be drawing the attention of both the Primordial trio and Lady Milim. Shall I prepare a secluded dining area for you should the terrace become... overly boisterous?"
Guy smirked, taking the glass without looking up. "Fuhu, leave it, Misery. Quite the gathering you've put together, Rimuru. Bringing Demon Lords, Crusaders, and Primordials to a beach party... you really don't do things by halves. Besides, watching you try to handle three Primordials and a dragon while holding a barbecue is the best entertainment I've had in a century."
Directly beside them, a low, dramatic groan echoed from the sand. Rain lay face down on an oversized beach towel, her ice-blue hair fan-spread over the fabric. Wearing a simple slate-blue sundress over her swimwear, her limbs hung completely limp as if her soul had temporarily departed her body.
"Lord Guy... I beg of you..." Rain muffled her voice directly into the towel, lifting one tired hand to weakly point at the massive stack of umbrellas, folded lawn chairs, and trunks full of high-grade sunscreen sitting nearby. "My delicate artistic fingers are losing all sensation... I have carried enough luxury furniture across soft sand to construct a third dwelling in the Ice Continent... Permission to disintegrate into water vapor for the next four hours?"
"Permission denied, Rain," Guy chuckled, nudging her side lightly with his sandal. "You still haven't finished setting up the shade canvas for Velzard if she decides to stop by."
"I am a Primordial Demon... an ancient harbinger of despair..." Rain whimpered dramatically, slowly rolling onto her back and placing a single pale forearm over her eyes to shield them from the blazing sun. "Yet here I lie, reduced to a glorified cabana maid because Misery refused to carry the heavier ice chests... Misery, you monster... tell me at least you brought my sketchbook so I can capture the tragic despair of my own servitude..."
Misery did not break her composed smile, though her emerald eyes glinted with subtle amusement as she looked down at her fellow blue demon. "I did bring your sketchbook, Rain. It is currently sitting at the bottom of the fourth supply chest—the one under Lord Guy's extra sun loungers. If you wish to paint, you are welcome to unpack it."
"You did that on purpose..." Rain gasped weakly, clutching her chest before collapsing back onto the towel with a dramatic sigh.
"I just wanted a quiet day off with my family and friends!" Rimuru called back over his shoulder toward Guy, catching Rain's tearful glance and giving an awkward, sympathetic wave.
Right on cue, the three Primordial demonesses emerged from the cabanas into the bright sunlight, each showing off their distinct summer attire under their named identities. Testarossa stepped gracefully onto the warm sand, twirling a high-end lace parasol over her shoulder to shield her pale complexion, her white and violet sun dress fluttering softly in the sea breeze.
"My, what a splendidly clear afternoon," Testarossa murmured, a sharp, elegant smile gracing her lips as she adjusted her parasol. "Though I must say, the sunlight is quite intense. I do hope Diablo hasn't allowed the grill smoke to taint Lord Rimuru's pristine view."
"Hahaha! Forget the shade, Testarossa! Look at the waves!" Carrera yelled boisterously, already sprinting down the shoreline in a bright golden-yellow swimsuit. She practically radiated energy, tossing an oversized inflatable beach ball high into the air. "Hey! Who wants to play a real game?! If I spike this ball into the ocean, I get the first plate of barbecue!"
"Honestly, Carrera... must you make a scene before we've even greeted Lord Rimuru properly?" Ultima sighed, walking at a relaxed, leisurely pace behind them. Clad in a gothic-style black and deep purple swimsuit with sheer accents, she twirled a tropical hibiscus flower casually between her fingers, her crimson eyes scanning the crowd with mischievous intrigue. "Though... if we are competing for Lord Rimuru's favor, I certainly won't let you have the best seat."
Ultima smoothly picked up her pace, gliding over toward the beachfront lounge and offering Rimuru a playful, captivating curtsy. "Lord Rimuru~ You look exceptionally comfortable today. Might there be room on that sofa for one more?"
"Ah, Ultima! Please don't start trying to squeeze in here too..." Rimuru chuckled nervously, sweating slightly as Diablo immediately stepped between them, completely scoffing at the sight of Rain and Misery's theatrical exchange before turning his full focus back to Rimuru.
"Lord Rimuru! Shall we prepare the divine barbecue now?!" Diablo appeared instantly beside Rimuru's chair without making a single sound, wearing a flawless butler-style summer suit and holding a silver platter of perfectly grilled monster-meat skewers. "I have personally prepared the finest cuts in the Central World for you, Lady Shinsha, and Lady Shuna!"
"Ooh! Meat!" Ranga boomed happily, emerging from Rimuru's shadow in a giant flower garland, his tail wagging so hard it generated a small gust of wind across the sand.
"Hey! Save some for the patrol crew!" Gobta yelled, running over in swimming goggles while riding atop a Star Wolf, accidentally spraying sand everywhere.
Rimuru looked across the crowded, chaotic beach—where Milim was wrestling Frey for pastries while Father Middray grumbled about cooked food, Gabiru was posing heroically with his men while Souka briefed Souei, Veldora and Ramiris were shouting over their sandcastle, Hinata was intensely blocking Benimaru's spike, Momoji and Albis were shooting competitive glances at each other, Carrera was trying to blast her beach ball across the water, Rain was dramatically lamenting her lost sketchbook while Misery served wine, and Shinsha was happily laughing beside Shuna—and couldn't help but smile, leaning back into his chair.
"Well..." Rimuru chuckled softly, taking a skewer from Diablo's tray and handing a bite to Shinsha, "at least nobody's fighting for real today."
