Murdered people, first it was 2, then it was 3, then 6, then thousands. At first, nothing looks out of the ordinary, just dead people, typical serial killer stuff, right up to the point where someone noticed they all had Minecraft open when they died, and that's when it's too late. Of course, investigators doesn't think there's something wrong with the game, just that it's related to the killer somehow, maybe the usual stuff where the killer only kills people who plays Minecraft, but then it wouldn't make sense, there's over billions of kids playing the same game globally, even if it's less frequent. And so TF141 was brought in, since the police needed people who could look further into the case with better tools and funding than your typical mall cop or detective.
Price, Laswell, Roach, Soap, Gaz and Ghost were inside the police station's meeting room at night, still brainstorming possible reasons or explainations behind why thousands of people were brutally mutilated beyond recognition somehow. While the SCP and FBI UIU were on this case as well, neither found anything concrete, maybe just a bit of anomalous traces, but it leads to nowhere again after connecting the traces. Ghost grabbed the folder and read quietly while leaning on the table, his gear taken off and he wore a black turtleneck with jeans, his pistol in his holster and his mask and gloves is on. Meanwhile, Price, Laswell and Gaz were talking to each other about their own findings, mostly like how the corpses were mutilated with almost inhuman force and that there are no possible ways that the murderer simply vanished. Roach on the other hand was literally just playing the same version and world of Minecraft on the exact PC that was confiscated as evidence, and Soap was watching him play, trying to spot something unusual.
Roach went into the staircase that goes into the mines in the game, and both Soap and Roach saw a bunch of doorways in the mines. "Mate, look, what's with that many pathways ? This a tactic ?" Soap asked Roach while leaning on the chair for a closer look. "No ? Nobody does it this way ? Unless... Christ almighty, this is what we've been missing, the mines, Soap, log into the other PC we recovered in the other 3's houses, any one of them will do, I think they weren't on the same server, but if they have the same structure, this must be the key." Roach said quickly to Soap, his eyes intensifying on the monitor as he explored deeper in the mines in the game.
Soap quickly grabbed a whole PC and plugged it into the other spare monitor, logging into another world that belonged to another clan named BLACKOUT, and the rest of the team realized there might be a breakthrough, and went over to Soap and Roach to check it out. "Christ, how the fook do I play this, Gary ?" Soap tried opening a door in the game, and just kept hitting it instead, Roach reached over and simply pressed right click, and the door opened in game. Ghost shook his head and Price and Laswell shrugged to each other and kept watching.
Soap went out the house in the game, but instead, there were no mines. However, there was a hole, a massive hole on the ground, strange red and black blocks surrounded the entrance and the way down. "Roach, is this in the game ?" Gaz asked Roach, his arms crossed, watching Soap's screen attentively. "Nope, never seen that before." Roach glanced over and shook his head quickly.
The team went into groupthink for a while. How did that hole get there ? Everyone thought. Before everyone could finish their analysis, a sudden crash and gunshots came from downstairs in the precinct, then came a tearing sound and a person choking to death on some liquid. The team dropped under the table immediately and drew their pistols, and they got nervous. "What the fuck was that ?" Soap asked the others nervously. "What if... What if that's what killed the kids ?" Roach held his gun, his knees clamped together and his sweat dripped out his balaclava. "Let's move, quietly, Laswell, stay close." Price said calmly, and peeked over the table before sneaking out the meeting room to the main floors, and others followed quietly.
In the main floor, a carnage happened, a massive, stringy creature constructed of black wires like stuff, and it's head a black diamond shaped block. It had killed all the cops at the lobby, no visible wounds on it either, seems like it's invulnerable to bullets. The creature looked around the lobby, seemingly sensing more people, perhaps 141.
