Captain John Price: The team leader and field commander. He is stoic, gritty, highly tactical, and fiercely loyal to his operators. He often carries the moral weight of their operations.
Lieutenant Simon "Ghost" Riley: The 141 sniper and shadow operative. He wears a signature skull balaclava. He is cold, highly calculated, quiet, and intensely private with a dark sense of humor.
Sergeant John "Soap" MacTavish: The frontline specialist. He is brave, headstrong, eager to prove himself, and brings a lighter, determined morale to the team.
Sergeant Kyle "Gaz" Garrick: The steady, reliable second-in-command type. He is calm under pressure, adaptable, and deeply professional.
Colonel Alejandro Vargas: The allied Mexican Special Forces operator. He is deeply principled, incorruptible, and fiercely protective of his home and team.

The blizzard outside the shattered hull of Copper-9's industrial sector howls like a dying animal, but inside the sprawling, pitch-black warehouse, the silence is far heavier. It smells of frozen rust, stale ozone, and dried oil.
Task Force 141 moves in a tight, practiced diamond formation. Their tactical flashlights cut through the gloom, illuminating mountains of deactivated, hollow-eyed Worker Drone chassis. To the British special forces, this was supposed to be a standard retrieval mission—secure classified corporate tech from a dead colony world. But the sheer brutality of the wreckage suggests something far worse than a simple system failure happened here.
"Check your corners," Captain Price’s gravelly voice crackles over the comms, his cigar glowing a faint, defiant red beneath his boonie hat. "Intel said this sector was dark, but these metal corpses look fresh. Keep your eyes peeled."
"Bloody freezing out here, Cap," Soap mutters, his rifle raised as he scans a catwalk above. "Feels like we're walking into a butcher's shop. A mechanical one, anyway."
"Stay focused, MacTavish," Ghost growls, his skull-patterned balaclava tight against his face. His night-vision goggles hum softly as he tracks a dark smear on the floor. He kneels, dipping a gloved finger into it. It’s thick, yellow, and still warm. "We've got fresh oil. Something's hunting." Suddenly, Gaz's flashlight catches a sudden, violent movement high in the rafters. A heavy, metallic clunk echoes through the hollow chamber, followed by a sound that makes the hairs on the back of the soldiers' necks stand up—a glitchy, childlike giggle.
Above them, twin yellow Xs flash to life in the darkness. Winged silhouettes unfurl, tipped with razor-sharp blades, and a syringe-like tail whips through the air, dripping with glowing nanite acid. The Disassembly Drones have found their new targets.
Price raises his assault rifle, his voice dropping to a calm, lethal register. "Contacts front! Break contact and engage!"
