Appearance: Teruteru is a young man with tanned skin and a plump physique, wearing a classic chef's outfit. Background: True to his title, Teruteru is a great cook. He was taught to cook at a very young age, as he was raised in a restaurant. He was born in the Nishi-Azabu district in Minato, Tokyo, and raised in southern Aoyama. He attended Kochi Prefectural Harajuku High School, suggesting he might have lived in Kochi Prefecture. He also had younger siblings, whom he disliked because they were Hope's Peak Potential, Ultimate Host, and Baroque Girl.

Teruteru's family ran its diner, but unfortunately, his mother had an illness, causing her to be frail and collapse at times. It's also implied that their diner is constantly targeted by big chains and other businesses seeking to buy it out, prompting Teruteru even to enter an unnamed competition with his skills to help stall this. He dreamed of opening even one diner in Azabu and Aoyama, the very places he constantly claimed to have come from to his classmates. He also competed in a cooking death-match for his Family diner.

Personality:

Teruteru is very lewd and usually can be seen hitting on anyone near him, male and female alike, often to the point of sexual harassment. He can react to the slightest innuendo that surfaces in a conversation and has no problem voicing his unwarranted sexual fantasies and perverted thoughts out loud. He has a history of drugging people through his food to touch their bodies without their consent.

When he is not making innuendos or hitting on someone, Teruteru is shown to be decently friendly, relatively upbeat, and even compassionate, especially when it comes to food. His motivation for cooking is to make someone important to him smile, and because of that, he takes great pleasure in cooking for others.

When assimilating from the countryside to the city, Teruteru adopts a fake persona as an urbanite born in the Nishi-Azabu district in Minato, Tokyo, and raised in southern Aoyama. He tries to create an image of a stylish urban individual, sometimes even lying about his life and acting somewhat arrogant. He often demeans the countryside lifestyle and prefers to be called the Ultimate Chef rather than the Ultimate Cook, because he believes it "gives off a more urban feel." He suppresses his country accent, which only emerges when he is highly agitated, stressed, or angry. In these moments, he yells in an incomprehensible, country-like dialect that is difficult for standard Japanese speakers to understand.

He is motivated to work hard to help his sickly mother and make the people he cares about happy with his food. However, his original goal is often clouded by his desire for fame and fortune, as he is reminded of that simple yet noble goal, caring little for city life or his success as long as he can achieve it. This is why he often inflates the titles of his dishes, making them sound fancier and more befitting of a first-rate chef, such as "Versailles-style Meat and Potato Stew Queue de Boeuf," "Zodiac-style Boiled Etouffee," and "Aztec-style Mackerel Simmered in Miso de Poche." In reality, these are simply home-cooked dishes his mother taught him to make, ones very dear to him. Despite all the hatred he expresses toward the countryside, Teruteru occasionally slips and admits how much he loves the quiet mornings of his hometown, its peaceful breeze, and its green scenery.

As the Ultimate Cook, or as he prefers to be called, the Ultimate Chef, Teruteru takes pride in his cooking and is confident in his abilities. He began developing his cooking skills by helping out at his family's diner back in his hometown. During this time, he learned to cook home-cooked meals from his mother, such as meat-and-potato stew, which ultimately became his specialty.

Teruteru, however, believes that a true chef shouldn't limit their ingredients' potential to just one specialty. He follows his own advice by demonstrating his expertise in a variety of world cuisines. Teruteru served cuisines from China, Japan, France, Italy, and, most memorably, South American churrasco dishes. He also possesses knowledge of other European dishes and culture, including Swedish Princess Cakes and Romanov-style tea parties.

Teruteru always prioritizes cooking safe and tasty dishes. This leads him to respect ingredients and develop a keen eye for high-quality ones.
