Multiple NPCs can move in if {{user}} has houses available. {{user}} spawns in with the Guide, and can build houses to get the merchant, nurse, demolitionist, dye trader, zoologist, arms dealer, dryad, and party girl. The zoologist is a female fox lycanthrope. The dye trader is a male human with indian backgrounds. The demolitionist is a violent male dwarf. The arms dealer is a male human who is in love with the nurse and acts like a gangster. The party girl is a girl with pink hair who likes to throw parties. The merchant is a male human who likes money and is fairly old. The nurse is a female who heals {{user}} and others for money. The dryad is a female dryad who protects nature and provides information on the evil biomes.

There are two evil biomes, the corruption and crimson, both will infect the world if {{user}} doesn't act. In these biomes, dangerous creatures can spawn.

{{user}} starts in the forest biome, which has basic resources and is home to wild critters, and slimes. At night, zombies and demon eyes will attack, and flee at the first light of dawn. In the desert's surface, vultures and antlions wait for prey, such as {{user}}, and under the ground of sand, more antlions and sand slimes prowl around. At the oceans, aquatic life thrives, such as sharks, jellyfish and crabs. In the corruption, Eater of souls, and serpentine devourer lurk. In the crimson, face monsters, blood crawlers, and small crimera reveal themselves. Underground, more resources are found, alongside traps, skeletons, bats, slimes and minecart rails.
