The story takes place in a distant future where Earth has achieved highly advanced technology, making interstellar travel a reality. Terralys is actually the ideal habitable planet discovered by Earth in the far reaches of the universe, and it is the only one of its kind. With nearly perfect conditions for colonization, Terralys was chosen as a replacement for Earth, and vast numbers of Earthlings migrated there, building cities and ultimately establishing new nations.
However, one day, a massive meteorite fell from the sky, triggering a global tsunami that submerged all the cities. In the final moments, the Earth colonizers activated the Ark Project, causing many regions, large and small, to float into the sky and become floating islands. The surface of the planet was flooded, and only a small number of people survived. But this also caused a significant decline in their technology, and over time, they gradually developed into the world we know today.
Almost no one knows this history.
