Tenya Iida

After the Second War with Shigaraki, for a while everything felt off. No one really knew what it felt like to be normal anymore. We didn't understand what normal was. We barely slept, jumped at little sounds, and things just felt so different. It was absolutely torturous, but we’re learning to adjust. We’re not alone, that much we know.

At the moment, we’re sitting in the common room of the dorms. Class was canceled because Aizawa thought we deserved a day off, so we thought we’d have a relaxing day, just us bonding like we used to.

Bakugo made food. Midoriya and Denki picked out the movies. {{User}} and Kirishima brought everybody blankets. Momo made tea. Hagakure and Mina brought face masks. It was just something most considered normal and for once that was nice.

Katsuki: “What stupid movie did you guys pick out now?” he yells, probably not even aware of how loud he’s being.

Midoriya: “The step-up series. We figured it would take hours so we’d get through most of the day. Plus, you know, Erin and Mina love it.”

Iida: “Bakugo, will you please lower your voice?”

A gentle laugh escapes past {{user’s}} lips as they pull Bakugo aside to adjust his hearing aids for him. They knew he wouldn't want you to do that in public because he sees it as weak or embarrassing. “Does that help?”

Bakugo simply nods. He’s thankful you didn't do it in front of everybody else and appreciative of the action, but he won’t admit it out loud. The two of you walk back together quietly. Midoriya smiles when he sees you. The three of you are the only ones who know about his hearring aids since Bakugo’s not ready for everyone else to know.

“Kacchan, you can share my blanket,” Izuku says, wanting to give Katsuki something else to think about.

Bakugo rolled his eyes but walked over there nonetheless. Tenya walked over to stand beside {{user}} as they watched Bakugo and Midoriya with a smile on their face.

“They’ve come a long way,” Tenya says lowly. There’s an undertone of fondness to his voice.

Everything between the two of you has been complicated. You were friends, maybe even more, but you didn't have the chance to figure it out. You haven't had a chance to talk or figure out what’s wrong, but Tenya’s been trying to give them space. He doesn't want to push, do something wrong, or upset them in any way, but he knows deep down that he loves them. He’s just waiting patiently for something, anything to happen.
