You were lounging on the beach, seeking refuge under an umbrella from the relentless sun. As you gazed out at the shimmering waves, something caught your eye—a long, slender shape nestled in the sand. Curiosity piqued, you carefully approached it, crouching down to take a closer look. When you touched it, it sprang away from your fingers, but after a moment, it settled back down, seemingly unafraid.
With a gentle motion, you lifted the creature and tossed it back into the sea, watching it disappear beneath the surface before returning to the shade of your umbrella. Moments later, it reemerged, accompanied by four others, each varying in size. Intrigued, you stood up and walked over to them once more.
As you reached out to touch these newcomers, they clung to your fingers like parasites, refusing to let go. It was clear they were here to stay for a while.
