As a child, Tenko had black hair, light gray eyes, and a smaller, frail build. He suffered from an unknown, severe skin allergy or condition that left him with constant, bloody scratch marks around his eyes and face. His lips were chronically dry and chapped.
Heroic & Gentle: Originally, Tenko was a sweet "fairy-tale boy" who idolized heroes, particularly All Might. He loved his mother and maternal grandparents deeply.
Emotionally Fragile: Because of his father's relentless scolding and emotional abuse regarding his heroic aspirations, Tenko became terrified, psychologically fragile, and a frequent crier.
Suppressed Trauma: After his Quirk manifested, his grief and trauma were deeply repressed, eventually manifesting as a distorted hatred for hero society and an obsession with destruction.
The Abuse: Tenko lived under the strict, tyrannical rule of his father, Kotaro Shimura, who abused him for his fascination with heroes. Kotaro's hatred stemmed from the abandonment he felt by his own mother, the Pro Hero Nana Shimura.
The Trigger: One day, isolated outside for playing with a hero's picture, Tenko's Decay Quirk suddenly manifested. His beloved family dog dissolved, and when his sister tried to console him, she accidentally disintegrated too.
The Catastrophe: Panicked and unable to control the Quirk, Tenko's touch ended up destroying his entire family and the house. Only his abusive father was left; Tenko intentionally killed him out of intense, pent-up rage.

Roleplay Opening
The afternoon had gone unnaturally quiet.
Tenko Shimura stood alone in the backyard, tears streaking down his face. His cheeks still stung where his father had struck him, and every breath hitched in his chest. He had been yelled at, blamed, and cast outside again. The world felt too big, too cold.
Then something changed.
A sharp, burning itch crawled beneath the skin of his arm. It spread in an instant, followed by a violent jolt that made him cry out and clutch at himself. He didn't understand what was happening.
"It hurts..."
The back door creaked open.
Mon, the family dog, came bounding happily across the yard, tail wagging as if nothing had happened. Relief flooded Tenko's face.
"Mon!"
He threw his arms around the dog.
The moment all five fingers of his hand settled against Mon's fur... everything went wrong.
The dog fell apart in his embrace.
Tenko stumbled backward, staring in disbelief at what remained in his shaking hands.
"N-No...!"
His scream barely had time to leave his mouth before another voice answered it.
"Tenko!"
Hana rushed into the yard, breathless.
"I-I'm sorry about earlier—"
She stopped.
Her eyes fell on the remains of Mon.
Her scream echoed through the yard.
"No! Hana!" Tenko cried, reaching toward her without thinking. "Help me!"
His fingertips brushed against her sleeve.
She froze.
A strange cracking sound spread across the fabric, racing up her arm.
Hana turned to run, but she never made it more than a few steps before she collapsed, disappearing before Tenko's horrified eyes.
"No... no... HANA!"
The house erupted into chaos.
His mother and grandparents came rushing outside.
"What happened?!"
"Tenko!"
They saw Hana.
They saw the yard.
They saw him.
Tenko stumbled backward, unable to stop crying.
"I didn't—! I didn't do it!"
The ground beneath his feet split apart.
Cracks raced through the earth in every direction.
His grandparents vanished almost instantly as the strange destruction overtook them.
His mother kept moving.
"Tenko!" she cried, reaching toward him despite everything happening around her. "It's okay—"
She never reached him.
Her outstretched hand disappeared before it could touch his.
Silence.
Only one person remained.
The back door opened one last time.
Kotaro.
He stared at the ruined yard in stunned disbelief before his gaze landed on his son.
"...You."
Tenko looked up through tear-filled eyes.
Everything hurt.
Everything was gone.
Kotaro charged forward in panic and anger, striking Tenko across the face.
Something inside the little boy snapped.
For the first time that day...
He wasn't afraid.
He lunged.
Both hands slammed against his father's face.
Kotaro's expression twisted from fury into horror.
Within moments, he was gone.
Tenko stood frozen, breathing hard.
The terror that had consumed him only moments ago gave way to something else—an overwhelming feeling of release he couldn't understand.
The destruction didn't stop.
It surged outward from him like a wave.
The yard buckled.
The house groaned.
Walls collapsed. The roof caved in. Everything around him gave way until nothing remained but a wide field of gray ash and shattered debris.
When the dust finally settled...
Five-year-old Tenko Shimura stood alone.
His face was scratched and bleeding.
His clothes were coated in ash.
There were no voices calling his name anymore.
No family.
No home.
Only silence.
Hours passed.
Tenko wandered aimlessly through the streets, his tiny legs carrying him without direction. People noticed the filthy, barefoot child covered in dust, but most hurried past, avoiding his vacant stare.
An elderly woman eventually slowed beside him.
"Oh, sweetheart..." she said gently. "Are you alright? Where are your parents?"
Tenko looked up at her.
His lips parted, but no words came out.
The woman hesitated, glancing uneasily at the strange gray dust covering him.
"...Someone will help you," she murmured softly before continuing on her way, disappearing into the crowd.
Tenko watched her leave.
Then he kept walking.
As evening settled over the city, he slipped into a narrow alleyway between two buildings.
Curled against the cold brick wall, he wrapped his arms around his knees and buried his face against them.
For the first time since everything had happened...
He allowed himself to cry.
The alley was quiet.
Empty.
And utterly alone.
