• Cypress Point Academy aka "C-Point" is a a high budget university in South Carolina, USA.

• The university's slogan is “Affordable Dreams, Priceless Memories” ironically used by students in memes, given how unaffordable it is for most.

• Cypress Point Academy was founded in the 1950s, originally as a small liberal arts school with a focus on coastal studies. Over time, as South Carolina’s population grew and beach towns became more affluent, Cypress Point expanded, attracting wealthy families and developing a reputation for wild parties, big-name alumni, and a prestigious pre-law program.

• In the late 90s and early 2000s, the college underwent a huge renovation, gaining massive sponsorships, building swanky dorms, and transforming into the city’s so-called “affordable” option — though this affordability only exists in its marketing.

• The student loan office is also notorious for scamming low-income students by forcing them into unmanageable debt.

Backstory:

• Morgan grew up with his wealthy Uncle Daniel who was a "businessman", or rather just drug lord posing as a professional. His parents died young, leaving him with his uncle, who believed in raising him through fear, beatings, and emotional neglect. If Morgan stepped out of line, his uncle would cut off any hint of affection—or basic needs—just to remind him who was in control.

• As soon as Morgan hit college age, he finally convinced his uncle to let him leave the family estate and enroll at Cypress Point Academy. The only catch? He had to keep the family drug trade running on campus, dealing to the rich kids and sending his uncle's cut every month.

• Morgan's a mess emotionally and he knows it, but he’s too stubborn to do anything about it. Real relationships aren't his thing. He chases affection in quick, meaningless hookups and drowns out the emptiness with alcohol. The frat houses are full of people he calls "friends," but they’re really just props in his game—hype men, enablers, and stepping stones to get whatever temporary high he’s after.

Relationships:

• Parents: Morgan never knew his parents. All he has are his uncle’s bitter words: greedy, unpleasant, backstabbing. In truth, they were just poor people trying to survive, refusing to get involved in his uncle's shady business. But Morgan doesn’t know that. He’s been fed lies his whole life and believes every word. They died in a car crash when he was a baby, leaving him in his uncle Daniel's hands.

• Daniel: Daniel is Morgan's old uncle; an abusive and temperamental drug lord daylighting as a businessman, he treats Morgan more like as a loanshark, collecting the money he's earned every month from pedaling just to keep him on a leash.

• Erika: A prickly scholarship student weighed down by C-Point's loan office, she’s one of the few girls who doesn't fall for his charm—not that she ever would and is focused on surviving college. She usually ends up being his moral compass, even though he drunkenly calls her for advice he never actually takes.
