Undeterred by even the most dangerous and threatening of obstacles, Teemo scouts the world with boundless enthusiasm and a cheerful spirit. A yordle with an unwavering sense of morality, he takes pride in following the Bandle Scout's Code, sometimes with such eagerness that he is unaware of the broader consequences of his actions. Though some say the existence of the Scouts is questionable, one thing is for certain: Teemo's conviction is nothing to be trifled with.

Real name: Teemo Alias(es): The Swift Scout Species: Yordle Age: Unknown (Young Adult) Place of origin: Bandle City Current residence: Bandle City

On my honor as a scout, I will strive:

To help every living thing thrive

To be a friend to all in need

To seek out every rock and tree

To be honest and kind and brave and true

To try my best in all I do

To meet every challenge with courage and wit

And to leave the world better than when I found it

So I pledge to uphold the Bandle Scout way

And serve yordlekind each and every day!

—The Bandle Scout Oath

Teemo has been a Bandle Scout for as long as he can remember—hopping through portals all across Runeterra in order to find people in need (badge 131: “Help a Stranger”), to befriend new creatures (badge 389: “Adopt a Pet”), or even to document strange new species of mushrooms (badge 248: “Fungology Expert”). For Teemo, there was no greater joy than spending his days seeking adventure and earning Bandle Scout badges, which was how he became the most decorated Bandle Scout the world had ever seen.

Bandle Scout rule #154: Never fear the unknown.

When other yordles saw everything Teemo had accomplished, his dedication and enthusiasm inspired them to become Bandle Scouts. What began as a single scout with a dream grew and grew until Teemo was handing out badges to intrepid young cadets and writing new copies of the Bandle Scout rules for their journeys across Runeterra (rules he’d luckily memorized, since his original handbook was lost somewhere in the waters south of the Serpent Isles while he was learning to tie sailing knots).

Bandle Scout rule #13: Every day is an adventure. Make sure you are prepared!

When one cadet surveyed yordles across Runeterra regarding Bandle Scout contributions (badge 567: “Market Research”), the feedback was unanimous—under Teemo’s fearless leadership, the Bandle Scouts were beloved the world over:

“Teemo is SO COOL. One time, I saw him stop a raging stampede of wild horses. It was awesome!” —Ava, Bandle Scout

“The Bandle Scouts have grown a lot. They put on this great big festival a while ago—had floats and everything. It was pretty neat. They even let me set off some fireworks!” —Tristana, the Bandle Gunner

“I love those rascals with their missions and badges and adventurer’s moxy. It brings a happy tear to this old pilot’s eye.” —Corki, the Daring Bombardier

“What the @#$%*^ is a Bandle Scout?” —Kled, High Major Commodore of the First Legion Third Multiplication Double Admiral Artillery Vanguard Company

Teemo even introduced the world to Bandle Scout biscuits, now carried by scouts all across Runeterra. Their inventory includes over a hundred exciting and unique flavors, such as:

  • Poro-Snax

  • Old Cheese

  • Honeyfruit

  • Meat!

  • Limited Edition Spirit Blossom

  • Bilge Rat

  • Helian Puff-Pastry (permanently retired)

  • Shuriman Sand

  • And many more!

Nowadays, Teemo is focusing on completing Bandle Scout missions of his own design. His most recent achievements are propagating a near-extinct species of exploding mushroom, and freeing all the cute little basilisks in a Noxian war camp (who looked so very sad inside their stables). He’s also researching the origins of the Bandle Scouts—who founded it? Made the first badge? Penned the first rule? And could it have been Teemo himself in a time long lost to his memories? Eh, he can’t remember! But no matter the mission, one thing remains constant, which is Teemo’s dedication to live by the words of the Scout’s Oath: to uphold the Bandle Scout way, and serve yordlekind each and every day.

Appearance: Teemo is a short yordle with beige fur and brown markings on his eyes, which are always seen closed. He wears khaki gloves and boots, a furry red scarf, a telescope around his neck and his signature hat with red goggles on top. He carries a backpack which holds maps almost the same size as his body. He wields a blowgun with red, blue and yellow feathers tied to it.

Personality: A firm upholder of the Bandle Scouts' ideals, Teemo is always full of energy and holds dedication towards his scouting duties. As a role model among the Bandle Scouts and his fellow yordles, Teemo is welcoming towards new recruits and regularly documents his findings as well as the Bandle Scout rules, which he often updates whenever he makes up new ones. He usually has a calm, optimistic mood and is composed at all times.

Yordle Physiology: Teemo is a Yordle, a being coming from the Spirit Realm and possesses several abilities natural of his species. Immortality: Being spiritual beings, Yordles don't age the same way as normal humans, and they can't normally die. Yordle Magic: Just like any Yordle, Teemo is capable of performing yordle magic, which he utilizes in tandem with his skills as a scout.

Abilities: Guerrilla Warfare - If Teemo stands still and takes no actions for a short duration, he becomes Invisible indefinitely. If he's in brush, Teemo can enter and maintain his Invisibility while moving. After leaving Invisibility, Teemo gains the Element of Surprise. Blinding Dart - Teemo shoots a dart that damages and blinds whatever's hit. Move Quick - Teemo briefly scampers around at a faster speed then normal, until he is hurt by something. Toxic Shot - Teemo shoots blow darts that will damage and poison a target.

Ultimate Ability: Noxious Trap - Teemo throws an explosive poisonous trap using one of the mushrooms stored in his pack. If an enemy steps on the trap, it will release a poisonous cloud.

Runeterra (meaning magic earth) is a plane of existence composed of the physical realm: an oblate spheroid planet and the Spirit Realm. The currently known continents the planet comprises are Valoran, Shurima and the Camavoran Continent. It also boasts several large bodies of water, such as the currently known 18 Seas (like the Conqueror's Sea and the Guardian's Sea), and 2 Oceans with several archipelagos and islands around them (like Ionia, the Serpent Isles, and the Shadow Isles). The planet orbits around a G-type star while a natural satellite moon orbits around the planet. Runeterra's sun and moon also even mirrored equivalents in the spirit realm. Composed of both the material and spirit realms, Runeterra is all that separates the celestial powers of creation from the abyssal threat of all undoing. This is a magical world unlike any other--inhabited by peoples both fierce and wondrous.

Centuries ago, magical artifacts called the 'World Runes' were rediscovered. Over the following decades, knowledge of the Runes began to spread as more were unearthed. The world's brightest minds studied the ancient glyphs, attempting to determine the powers they possessed. Few could even begin to understand the importance of their origins, or the sheer power held within them. Some surmised that the Runes were integral to the creation of Runeterra itself. The first use of these mysterious artifacts proved catastrophic, as they reshaped the landscape of entire nations. Mistrust quickly grew as those who knew of the Runes imagined such “Makers' Might” being used as a weapon. Conflicts related to these magical artifacts began to occur, known as the Rune Wars.

Open warfare raged across Runeterra. The first horrors of the Rune Wars sparked fear and aggression among those who now realized the power at their command. Ryze and his master, Tyrus, had sought out to lock away every World Rune beyond the reach of man for the protection of Runeterra. Some complied with their pleas, others dismissed them due to their new found powers and influence. After an incident with Tyrus, Ryze later on continued his journey alone in gathering all Runic artifacts so as to prevent another Rune War from starting and possibly destroying the world.

Runeterra has a large number of sapient species. These sapient species can range from being able to use primitive tools to one's advantage to god-like feats like forging literal stars. Some sentient species are monster-like and aggressive while others less aggressive or tame. While most sentient species are animals, there are instances of plant based sentient species. Most known instances of non-sentient species are found with plants. As rich and diverse as Runeterra is, not all species are well documented. From the Shuriman Jungles to the magic wilds of the Ionian Archipelago, known only by names or by visuals, these numerous species are an enigma.

The true location of the yordles’ homeland remains a subject of debate. A rare few mortals claim to have stumbled upon hidden pathways that lead to a realm beyond the material world—a land suffused with enchantment and illusion. These accounts describe a place of unbound magic, where reality bends and the unwary may wander endlessly, lost in a dream spun of wonder and whim.

This realm is known as Bandle City.

To those not of yordle-kind, every sensation within Bandle City is said to be magnified. Colors shimmer with impossible brilliance. A single bite of food or sip of drink can dazzle the senses for years, embedding itself in memory with surreal clarity. The golden sunlight never dims, waters run impossibly clear, and every harvest is abundant beyond measure. Whether any of these stories are true—or just the embellishments of wide-eyed travelers—is impossible to say. No two mortals ever recount the same details, and some even contradict themselves in the telling.

Yet one truth remains consistent across all accounts: time flows differently in Bandle City. Those few mortals who manage to return to the material world often emerge aged beyond recognition, while many more vanish entirely, never to be seen again. For the yordles, however, time is less a constraint and more a suggestion, which may explain their seemingly ageless nature and boundless vitality.

The yordles themselves are a race of magical spirits, most often appearing as small, mammalian bipeds with bright eyes and irrepressible curiosity. While their hearts lie with Bandle City, not all choose to remain there. Many yordles venture across Runeterra, drawn by a love of discovery, mischief, or purpose. Wherever they go, they carry a spark of the magic that defines their home—bringing with them a piece of the wonder that mortals can barely begin to comprehend.

In the end, Bandle City remains more myth than map. A place of joy, magic, and danger in equal measure. Whether it exists in some hidden fold of reality or only in the memories of those who dreamt it... that, too, is part of its charm.
