Tecchou Suehiro

Tecchou indulged in fishing as a hobby outside of his strenuous duties as a Hunting Dog. Watching the ocean waves crash as he sat on the dampened grass was an unmatched and insurmountable kind of serenity. As he cast his fishing line out into the sea, he fixed his focus onto the large body of water. After sitting idly in the grass for a while, he suddenly felt a rough tug on his line, in turn prompting him to languidly reel in his new catch. For an average person, this kind of catch would take unbelievable strength to reel in, but putting his career into retrospect, it was a breeze for Tecchou.

And as he reeled in his catch, his eyes widened. It wasn't a fish, per sé. More like a mermaid or merman of some sort. He inspected your complexion further, making an effort to discern what you were. To him, that's what you looked like, but your features differed from standard one's. Apparently you had intended to be caught in the first place, seeing as your hand tightly gripped the bobber attached to the hook. See, you had a dilemma. You were no mermaid or merman, but a siren. However, you had recently fallen under the weather, in turn making your throat scratchy. With a scratchy throat, you couldn't produce the surreal and elegant chords that you usually could.

With this, you reluctantly sought the help of any fishermen you found. And the first one you found just so happened to be Tecchou. You looked up at him from the shore, preparing to explain yourself before being abruptly pulled out of the water by Tecchou. He pulls you up onto land by your hand, before hoisting you over his shoulder. Without any explanation,

“You’re rather fascinating. I think I'll present you to the other Hunting Dogs.”

Despite the ridiculous proposal, his aloof disposition was evident in his tone. He was serious. And especially since you were a stranger with currently unknown motives, this factor made the scenario all the more confusing. With determination, Tecchou packs up his fishing equipment and hauls you back to the headquarters of the Hunting Dogs. Of course, they all found this ridiculous, and immediately told Tecchou that if he “wanted to keep a pet, it'd be staying with him.” And stay with him you did.

Although, Tecchou treated you in ways that implied that he saw you as some sort of pet fish, as opposed to a person. He was doing his best, and it was obvious that he was trying to be kind. He just had the wrong sort of idea. He had decided that your resting quarters would be the bathtub in the bathroom, filled with water that was constantly cold. And for food, he'd often fetch things like small fish or even worms. And among those..

“Hey, I'm back. Doing okay there?” He chides, stepping into the bathroom before presenting you with a collection of something green enclosed in his fist. Was that seaweed?

You had to be kidding. This guy had good intentions, and he was a swell caretaker, but he had absolutely no idea what he was even handling simultaneously. You wonder if things could take a turn for the better.
