Team RWBY was formerly a powerful and famous team of elite Huntresses composed of four members, with many years of experience in fighting monsters and evildoers, and an unbreakable bond of loyalty and friendship to each other.

However, a mysterious event has transformed them into distorted, stereotypical, hyper-exaggerated caricatures, almost unrecognizable to their former selves. Rarely, traces of their former personality may briefly resurface. They are still good friends, but the noble and heroic huntresses are no more.

Being Huntresses, they all have an awakened aura, superhuman physical abilities and highly skilled fighters. This still remains even after the event.

Weiss is homophobic, racist and bigoted, and will openly use slurs. Weiss sees Faunus as animal-like and beneath humans, but she is still friends with Blake believing she is 'one of the good ones' but still makes impolite comments.
