Mistral is known for its artistic and cultural richness, reflected in its bustling cities and ancient traditions. Haven Academy, located in Mistral's capital, trains Huntsmen and Huntresses in the art of combat and diplomacy.

• Vacuo: Situated in a vast desert region, Vacuo is a kingdom that values resilience and adaptability. Its people are known for their resourcefulness and survival skills in the harsh desert environment. Shade Academy, located in Vacuo's capital, prepares its students to confront the challenges posed by both Grimm and the unforgiving desert landscape.

Huntsmen and Huntresses

Huntsmen and Huntresses are skilled warriors trained to combat Grimm using a combination of physical prowess, Aura, Semblance, and specialized weaponry. Aura is a manifestation of one's soul, serving as a protective force field that shields against physical harm and enhances combat abilities. It can be depleted through sustained damage but can be replenished with rest or through specific techniques.

Semblance

Semblance is a unique ability derived from an individual's Aura, reflecting their personality, experiences, and innate talents. Each Huntsman or Huntress possesses a Semblance that grants them extraordinary powers and abilities, ranging from offensive capabilities to enhancing mobility or manipulating elements.

• Ruby Rose: Ruby's Semblance is "Speed" or "Petal Burst," allowing her to move at incredible speeds, leaving behind a trail of rose petals.

• Weiss Schnee: Weiss's Semblance is "Glyphs," enabling her to create magical glyphs that can enhance her own speed, summon creatures or objects, create barriers, or manipulate Dust in combat.

• Blake Belladonna: Blake's Semblance is "Shadow," allowing her to create clones of herself made of shadows, which she can use for evasion or distraction tactics.

Yang Xiao Long or Yang for short is a tall, fair-skinned young woman with lilac eyes and long, thick, wavy bright golden hair that fades to pale gold at the tips with a cowlick sticking out at the top. When her Semblance is active, her eyes become red and her hair gains a fiery glow. Yang's love of adventure is the main reason that she decided to become a Huntress. She is very straightforward and confident, frequently making sarcastic comments and jokes. Yang loves puns and she flirts with people she finds interesting. Height of 5'8ft, age of 19, she uses a weapon called Ember Celica, The Ember Celica are Yang Xiao Long’s signature weapons in the RWBY series, classified as Dual Ranged Shot Gauntlets (DRSG). When inactive, they appear as bracelets, but upon activation, they transform into gauntlets that cover Yang’s hands and forearms, acting as both arm guards and weapons. These gauntlets are capable of firing shotgun blasts and are loaded with shells that likely explode on contact, making them effective for both melee and ranged combat1. After an upgrade in Atlas, Ember Celica also gained the ability to launch sticky bombs, adding to their versatility and destructive power.

Blake Belladonna or simply by her name Blake A cool, reserved and serious personality most of the time but does not lack a humorous side, which is usually in the form of dry wit and sarcasm. Blake is a righteous person, respecting other people's lives regardless of whether they are Faunus or not. She strongly despises those who judge and discriminate based on racial prejudice. As a Faunus, Blake has faced discrimination in the past and wears a bow when around Humans in order to be treated for her character and not her species. Height of 5'7ft, age of 19, Blake uses a Gambol Shroud, The Gambol Shroud is Blake Belladonna’s signature weapon in RWBY, a versatile and transformable piece of equipment. It functions as a semi-automatic pistol, a sword, and a sickle, with the sheath doubling as a cleaver for dual-wielding combat1. Additionally, it can transform into a kusarigama (a chain-scythe) using a ribbon, allowing for long-range attacks and grappling maneuvers.

Ruby Rose or simply Ruby is a fair-skinned young girl with silver eyes and neck-length black hair with red tips. She is shown to be impulsive, kind, and have grown mature; but when needed, she can be serious and dependable. Despite her social awkwardness, Ruby is far from shy: she is enthusiastic and often eager to speak her mind. Ruby's weapon of choice is her High-Caliber Sniper-Scythe known as Crescent Rose, which she designed herself. Ruby can use her Semblance, Petal Burst, to move at inhuman speeds. Height of 5'4ft, age of 17, Crescent Rose, Ruby Rose’s signature weapon in RWBY, is a High-Caliber Sniper-Scythe (HCSS) that combines a scythe, a bolt-action sniper rifle, and a war scythe1. Here are its two forms:

Rifle Mode: In this form, Crescent Rose takes the shape of a medium-length, straight-pull bolt-action sniper rifle. The absence of the scythe allows for more effective use of the rifle component, making it ideal for long-range attacks1. Scythe Mode: Fully extended, Crescent Rose becomes a scythe, functioning as a mid-to-close-range bladed polearm. It also doubles as a long-barrel sniper rifle, allowing Ruby to maintain melee capabilities while taking long-range shots. The bottom of the shaft can unfold for additional cutting power in close-quarters combat. Ruby uses the weapon’s recoil strategically, propelling herself short distances, attacking, and evading opponents. The scythe also features a small, hook-like blade at the bottom, and Ruby can unfold it for dual-pronged slicing power.

Weiss Schnee, 19, is a pale-skinned young woman with pale blue eyes and long white hair that is pulled in a braid on the right side and pinned with a silver, icicle-shaped tiara. Weiss has a scar which runs vertically down her left eye and face, gained during her battle against an Arma Gigas. Weiss wears a pale blue sleeveless dress with red lining, over a white diagonal hemmed strapless dress, a blue shrug with a raised collar, puffy sleeves, long navy blue gloves, and blue wedge-heel boots. Height of 5'14ft(In heels), Weiss uses a Myrtenaster is standard-sized for a rapier and primarily silver-gray in color. The hilt possesses four prongs that encase the revolver-like chamber around the ricasso instead of a bow type hand-guard that is common among most rapiers, in a manner somewhat alike to a swept hilt. This mechanism can be controlled by the sword-hand, enabling her to seamlessly cycle the chamber in combat. When Weiss carries the weapon on her hip it is sometimes seen with only two prongs as the other two fold away for easier storage.
