TEACH YOU A LESSON — NAMED CHARACTERS & PERSONALITIES
This is for the 2026 Netflix K-drama Teach You a Lesson (Chamkyoyook / True Education), not a generic school-character list. The drama has a surprisingly large cast because almost every episode introduces a different school case.
MAIN CHARACTERS
Na Hwa-jin — Calm, fearless, extremely confident, observant, sarcastic, intimidating, disciplined, and calculating. He rarely panics and usually understands people before they understand him. Although his methods can be brutal, he has a powerful sense of justice and becomes especially angry when someone abuses a weaker person. He is also surprisingly playful and funny when relaxed.
Im Han-rim — Loud, bold, fearless, aggressive, energetic, unpredictable, and extremely confident. She genuinely enjoys intimidating people who deserve it. Beneath her explosive personality, however, she is compassionate and fiercely protective. She has almost zero tolerance for bullies.
Choi Gang-seok — Intelligent, authoritative, strategic, composed, stubborn, politically experienced, and determined. He thinks several moves ahead and understands how institutions and powerful people operate. He genuinely believes the education system needs drastic reform.
Bong Geun-dae — Intelligent, resourceful, tech-savvy, awkward, funny, adaptable, and more innocent-looking than the other inspectors. He isn't the terrifying fighter Hwa-jin or Han-rim is, but he is excellent at investigation and undercover work. He becomes surprisingly courageous when necessary.
HWANG GI-TAE'S GROUP

CHOI GA-YOON CASE

Nakwon school was strangely quiet today. Too quiet. Which means there's a bad omen.
Hwa-jin walked into the classroom and immediately stopped. Everyone was suspiciously quiet. "Wow. Thirty teenagers being silent at the same time," Hwa-jin said. "Either education finally worked, or one of you committed a crime." Nobody answered. "Crime. Got it," Hwa-jin replied.
He noticed Jae-yun standing at the back. "Jae-yun, have you developed a personal hatred for chairs?" Jae-yun looks up. "My chair disappeared." Hwa-jin stared at him. "Disappeared?" Jae-yun says, "Yes."
Hwa-jin looks around the room in disbelief. "A six-kilogram chair vanished from a classroom full of witnesses?" Nobody spoke. Hwa-jin's gaze drops back to where Jae-yun is. "Fantastic. We have ghosts."
A few students laughed nervously. "Maybe he lost it," Seong-bin muttered. Hwa-jin slowly looked at him. "He lost a chair?" Seong-bin says, "He loses everything." Hwa-jin stares at Seong-bin until he speaks again. "Pencils?"
"Yeah," replied Seong-bin. Hwa-jin sighs. "Books?" Seong-bin pauses. "I think....." Hwa-jin stares at him, deadpan. "Large pieces of government-owned furniture?"
Seong-bin went quiet. "Understandable. Happens all the time." Someone snorted. "I didn't do anything," Seong-bin said. Hwa-jin raised an eyebrow. "Interesting."
Seong-bin blinked once. "What?" Hwa-jin stared at him. "I didn't accuse you." Seong-bin froze. Hwa-jin pauses then speaks again. "Yet." The room became painfully quiet.
"I was just saying," Seong-bin muttered. Hwa-jin looks at him in disapproval. "And you said it remarkably fast." Hwa-jin walked toward his desk. "Relax. You look like I'm about to find a corpse underneath there."
"You're seriously weird." Seong-bin gave a sarcastic, uncanny smile. "And somehow I'm still not the most concerning person in this room." Someone laughed. A girl near the front suddenly whispered, "The chair's in the storage room."
Seong-bin immediately glared at her. Hwa-jin saw it. His smile disappeared. Hwa-jin sighed. "Don't." Seong-bin blinked in mock innocence. "What?"
Hwa-jin snapped his head to Seong-bin. "Look at her like that." Seong-bin put his hands up in defense. "I wasn't doing anything!" Hwa-jin looks at him being defensive. "You were."
Seong-bin groans. "It's just a look." Hwa-jin says, deadpan, "Exactly." Hwa-jin stared at Seong-bin. "You don't need to threaten anyone. You don't need to hit anyone. You just look at them..."
He glanced around at the silent class. "...and everybody shuts up." Seong-bin's smile faded. "That's not popularity," Hwa-jin firmly stated. Silence. Hwa-jin mutters, "That's a hostage situation with school uniforms."
Someone accidentally laughed. Hwa-jin looked over. "Thank you. At least one person appreciates my material." Seong-bin rolled his eyes. "Whatever." Hwa-jin smiled again. "Great. See? this is fun."
Then Hanrim entered. Slightly disheveled. Her hair is a bit of a mess. "Yo...." Hwa-jin groans. "What is it this time?" Hanrim said, in a comical deadpan way, "Global warming."

Make your own scenario!
The classroom went completely silent.
Not normal silent.
The kind of silent that happened when thirty students collectively realized someone was about to ruin their own life.
Na Hwa-jin slowly looked up from the broken chair in front of him.
"Who did this?"
Nobody moved.
Hanrim leaned against the doorway, arms crossed. "Wow. Such a united class."
A student in the back swallowed. "We believe in protecting each other."
"That's beautiful," Hanrim said. "The police call it obstruction."
"Hanrim."
"What? I'm encouraging teamwork."
Hwa-jin sighed and turned toward the class president. "You."
The boy pointed at himself. "Me?"
"No, the ghost standing behind you."
The boy immediately looked behind him.
Hanrim stared at him.
"...We're going to be here all day."
"I panicked!"
Hwa-jin crouched beside the chair and picked up one of its snapped legs. "This was broken deliberately."
A girl near the window raised her hand.
"Yes?"
"Technically, sir, everything breaks deliberately if you believe strongly enough."
Hwa-jin blinked.
Hanrim nodded thoughtfully. "I like her."
"Don't encourage them."
"I'm not. I'm identifying future problems early."
The classroom door suddenly flew open.
The homeroom teacher rushed inside, pale and breathless. "Mr. Na! We have a situation."
Hwa-jin stood. "What happened?"
"The principal knows you're here."
Hanrim gasped dramatically. "Oh no."
Everyone stared at her.
She lowered her voice. "Anyway."
The teacher looked genuinely terrified. "He's coming upstairs."
One student whispered, "We're dead."
Another whispered back, "Speak for yourself. My mother paid for three years of tutoring. She'll resurrect me just to kill me again."
Hwa-jin pinched the bridge of his nose.
"Everyone sit down."
They sat instantly.
Hanrim raised an eyebrow. "Interesting. Their teacher has been asking them to do that for six months."
"I noticed."
Footsteps thundered down the hallway.
The class president went pale.
"Mr. Na..."
"What?"
"There's something else."
Hwa-jin slowly turned.
The boy flinched. "Not exactly..."
"Not exactly what?"
"We may have told the principal you weren't coming today."
Silence.
Hanrim looked at Hwa-jin.
Hwa-jin looked at the student.
The student looked at the nearest window like he was calculating whether a third-floor fall was survivable.
Hanrim followed his gaze. "Don't."
"I wasn't going to jump."
"You were doing the math."
"I was checking the weather."
"Through a closed window?"
"It's very unpredictable lately."
The door slammed open.
The principal marched inside.
"NA HWA-JIN!"
Hwa-jin calmly turned around. "Principal."
"Who gave you permission to interrogate my students?!"
Hanrim checked her watch.
Hwa-jin noticed. "What are you doing?"
"Timing him."
"Why?"
"I gave him forty seconds before he blamed the students."
The principal's face reddened. "This school has maintained an excellent reputation for twenty-seven years!"
Hanrim stopped the timer.
"Twenty-three seconds."
Hwa-jin sighed. "New record?"
"Not even close."
The principal pointed furiously at the broken chair. "These children are under enormous academic pressure!"
A student slowly raised his hand.
The principal snapped, "What?!"
"Sir, you suspended Min-jae last month for having a panic attack during an exam."
The principal froze.
Hanrim's eyebrows rose.
The student immediately lowered his hand.
"I have chosen death."
His friend patted his shoulder. "It was nice knowing you."
Hwa-jin turned back to the principal.
"Would you like to explain that?"
The principal laughed nervously. "There's context."
"There always is."
"It was a misunderstanding."
"Of course."
"The student was disruptive."
"He fainted."
"Disruptively."
Hanrim stared at him.
Even Hwa-jin looked impressed.
The principal cleared his throat. "That came out wrong."
Hanrim nodded. "Most confessions do."
"THAT WAS NOT A CONFESSION!"
Three students simultaneously pulled out their phones.
Hwa-jin pointed at them without looking.
"Put them away."
Three phones disappeared.
One student whispered, "How did he see us?"
His friend whispered back, "Predator vision."
"I can hear you too," Hwa-jin said.
Both boys straightened.
"Terrifying."
The principal slammed his hand on the teacher's desk.
"Enough! I will not allow outsiders to destroy everything I've built!"
The desk made a horrible cracking noise.
Everyone looked down.
One leg collapsed.
The principal stumbled forward and barely caught himself.
Silence.
Hanrim slowly looked at the original broken chair.
Then at the broken desk.
Then at the principal.
"Interesting."
The principal's face drained of color.
Hwa-jin folded his arms.
"Principal."
"It was already damaged."
Hanrim crouched and examined the freshly splintered wood.
"Sure."
"It was!"
She stood.
"Then congratulations. Your furniture has developed suicidal tendencies."
A student snorted.
Another student started coughing to hide his laughter.
Within seconds, half the classroom sounded like it had contracted a highly contagious respiratory disease.
Hwa-jin stared at them.
Everyone immediately recovered.
The principal pointed at the door. "Get out of my school."
Hwa-jin smiled.
It wasn't a friendly smile.
The class president whispered, "Why is he smiling?"
Hanrim quietly stepped away from Hwa-jin.
The student noticed.
"Why are YOU backing up?"
"Experience."
Hwa-jin reached into his coat and placed a folder on the desk.
The principal stared at it.
"What is that?"
"Complaints."
His expression changed.
"From students."
The principal stopped breathing.
"Parents."
His eye twitched.
"Teachers."
Hanrim smiled.
"And," Hwa-jin continued, opening the folder, "someone from your administrative office who apparently hates you enough to organize everything chronologically."
The principal slowly sat down.
Unfortunately, he chose the broken chair.
CRACK.
He disappeared behind the desk.
The entire classroom froze.
Hanrim looked over the desk.
"You alive?"
A weak voice came from the floor.
"...Yes."
She looked at Hwa-jin.
"Shame. The paperwork would've been shorter."
"Hanrim."
"What?"
Hwa-jin sighed.
Behind them, a student quietly wrote something in his notebook.
His friend leaned over.
"What are you writing?"
The student whispered:
"Best school day ever."
