Book description
In a world where Trust Value's something worldly view as "reputation", the world revolves around doing things to gain other's trust and raise your Trust Value. This Trust Value's so important that it's even considered when getting a job, obviously you will get a good job if your Trust Value's high enough. The civilians gain extra intelligence or body enhancing capabilities, while Heroes's profiles are meant for people to trust them and build a certain image for the Heroes for the public not shift thoughts on a Hero each second. Recently, Fear Value was released to the public as a dangerous energy that Villians have... this Hero System it's corrupted to the brim. Trust on the Principal Heroes, everything else's going against someone dying like a Hero or living enough for that Hero to become the Villian of the story.

DEBUT:

PURPOSE:
X City's primary governing body
Prevent heroes from ascending to godhood:
- Regulate and control the spread of Trust Value among the population
- Since heroes gain immense power through Trust, the HAC focuses its efforts on monitoring their activities to ensure they do not abuse their power or become excessively strong
- After the discovery of Fear Value as another power source, the HAC begins regulating public fear as well.
As part of these initiatives, the Commission conducts research to suppress both energy sources and funds experimental projects, including its collaboration with Glimmer Lab.
Oversees heroes, hero agencies, registration and rankings:
- Established following the catastrophe caused by Zero, who obtained godlike power through his Trust and Fear Values
- Created to prevent another being like Zero from emerging due to unchecked Trust approaching religious zeal and rampant Fear
- To achieve this, the Commission actively monitors the Trust Value of the Top Ten Ranked Heroes
- This's demonstrated when the current X, after holding the title for three terms, draws the Commission's concern that his Trust Value may have reached "majority trust", a state similar to Zero's godhood; consequently, ordering the CEOs of the top hero agencies to eliminate X and stop him from being crowned X for a fourth term.

HEROES TOURNAMENT ARENA:
DESCRIPTION:
A biennial event hosted by the H.A.C. every even year after commission.
It's created to regularly reshuffle the rankings and the trust values of the top 10 heroes to prevent any single hero from becoming too powerful, avoiding another Dawnfall Incident like that of year 1 PC.
Every two years, the top heroes register and gather in an arena to fight one-on-one until a new X is crowned.
So far, there have been 19 Heroes Tournaments held, with one cancelled, and the 21st just beginning.
The tournament's widely covered and discussed around the world.
LAID-OUT:
Take place in a large circular stone arena with levitating platforms that lower the contenders to the main stage.
The arena appears to be directly beneath "Hero Tower", constructed under the elevator entrance.
It's possible that the elevator pool can be retracted or removed to expose the arena below.
RULES:
It's forbidden for any hero to attack or kill another competitor in the Heroes Tournament:
- Such acts are punished by the Commission.
- However, this rule applies only to physical attacks, leaving a loophole that allows indirect assaults affecting a competitor's emotions or morale; another loophole exists for the Top 10 heroes because, even though they are prohibited from fighting each other, if no witnesses are present and they remain silent, they can avoid punishment.
Only heroes ranked within the Top 10 are eligible to participate in the tournament:
- Therefore, any hero who drops out of the Top 10 loses the right to compete.
Participants of the Heroes Tournament are allowed to carry their own customized weapon, although there are heroes who prefer to fight with their own hands
"X" TITLE:
"X", short for "Hero X", is an honorable title given to the No.1 Hero, usually the winner of the biennial Heroes Tournament:

- The title's current holder is known simply as Hero X, which the public started calling him since his identity is unknown.

- E-Soul defeats Ghostblade and Little Johnny, causing Big Johnny to transform into his berserk form and go on a rampage, destroying the spaceship wreckage in the process
Ruins Incident:
- Micky sends Queen to the spaceship crash site under the guise of a vacation
- Queen invites Lucky Cyan to come along
- During their supposed vacation, Queen and Cyan witness Big Johnny's rampage at the spaceship, causing them to discover the battle happening there
- Arriving on the scene, Queen single-handedly subdues the remaining combatants while Cyan saves Little Johnny and Ghostblade from the wreckage
Aftermath of the "Ruins Incident":
- Loli signs up with FOMO and quickly becomes the sixth-ranked hero, breaking Lucky Cyan's record as the youngest person to break into the top ten
- Ghostblade's hero rank rises to fourth place, but he ends his contract with Mighty Glory
- The comatose Wang Nuonuo is hospitalized.
- Big Johnny's identity as an alien gets exposed, causing Little Johnny to become the fifth-ranked hero, and they both transfer to DOS to train with Queen and Lucky Cyan
- The TREEMAN Corporation covers up Nice's involvement while having him take credit for Loli's heroics, causing him to become the fifteenth-ranked hero
- Queen becomes the second-ranked hero.
- Lucky Cyan retains her position as the seventh-ranked hero.
- E-Soul loses popularity, causing him to fall to ninth place in the hero rankings.
40 AC:
Due to the "Ruins Incident", the Hero Affairs Commission cancels the 20th Heroes Tournament:
- Hero X retains the "X" title by default, becoming the first person to hold the position for three terms
- To restore public faith in the hero system, the Commission decides to hold the 21st Heroes Tournament next year, in Year 41 AC, rather than waiting the usual two years
- Fearing that Hero X's Trust Value is getting too high, the Commission puts out an execution order on him
To get Dragon Boy into the top ten heroes, Yan Mo orders him to take out Smile:
- Deducing Yan Mo's intent, Shang De orders Nice to hide out during the battle and inject the victor with a vial of Fear, allowing him to get into the top ten himself by defeating the corrupted hero
- Dragon Boy confronts Smile and goads the latter into attacking him.
- Unwilling to attack Smile (Nice's idol), Nice intervenes in the battle and injects Dragon Boy with Fear, only for the latter to regurgitate it back onto Smile, transforming him into a monster that attacks both heroes
- As onlookers take notice of the fight, they put their faith in Dragon Boy, allowing him to unlock a more powerful form and kill Smile
- Enraged by Smile's death, Nice fights Dragon Boy until Hero X intervenes and ends the battle by instantly defeating the latter
41 AC:
Ahu is returned to the vet after he lashes out from mistreatment and bites a child:
- One of Ahu's fans, Xin Ya, adopts the dog
- Xin Ya unsuccessfully tries to make Ahu a Hero to fight off the TREEMAN Corporation, which is trying to seize her community's land
- Ahu drives off TREEMAN's thugs after they anger him, causing Xin Ya's community to start opening up to the dog
- TREEMAN makes Nice use his popularity to con Xin Ya's community into handing him the land's deed
- Ahu and Xin Ya infiltrate TREEMAN's hideout and steal back the deed, but get caught by their henchmen whilst escaping; though most are defeated by Hero X when he passes by the scene
- Inspired by Xin Ya and Hero X, Ahu defeats the last remaining henchman himself while Nice has a nervous breakdown and flees after some Fear Particles spill onto him
In the aftermath of the TREEMAN Corporation's failed land grab:
- Ahu takes credit for Hero X defeating the "Black-Clad Organization" and becomes the eighth-ranked hero under FOMO; his skyrocketed Trust Value also grants him human speech
- Xin Ya recovers in the hospital from injuries she sustained during the escape
- Nice seeks out Shang De for Fear treatment, only for the CEO to reprimand him for his recent failures
Cheng Yaojin fires Lin Ling from his advertising job for the TREEMAN Corporation:
- Jobless and homeless, Lin Ling contemplates jumping off a building when Nice walks by and seemingly commits suicide himself
- Arriving on the scene and learning what happened, Nice's manager, Miss J, abducts Lin Ling to prevent news from spreading before forcing him to assume the hero's identity upon noticing their resemblance
- Lin Ling successfully impersonates Nice in front of the latter's fans, causing him to inherit the hero's Trust Value and powers
- So no one wonders about Lin Ling's whereabouts, Miss J produces a news article claiming the former was the one who committed suicide rather than Nice
While attending a talk show hosted by Enlighter, the former attempts to slander "Nice" by framing him for "Lin Ling"'s supposed suicide:
- Enlighter brings out Cheng Yaojin, who became a villain, in hopes he will blame "Nice" for "Lin Ling"'s supposed death, only for him to go on a rampage demanding the TREEMAN Corporation pay him for his services
- Cheng Yaojin is arrested after Lin Ling defeats him while Enlighter's show gets shut down, plummeting the latter's Trust Value
- Afterward, Enlighter deduces that Lin Ling is impersonating Nice and subsequently becomes the villain "God Eye" upon being gifted the Power of Fear by the The Spotlight Organization.
Lin Ling and Xiao Yueqing agree to hold a fake wedding to fake Moon's death publicly:
- They plan a fake battle with Nice's best friend and supposed nemesis, Wreck, but are forced to fight him for real when the latter goes on a rampage upon learning of Nice's death
- Lin Ling defeats Wreck, who falls to his death, while Xiao Yueqing successfully fakes her death, after which she uses her powers to teleport herself to a deserted island, leaving the teleportation device behind because she doesn't have Trust Value anymore.

DOS:
- As two of the oldest hero agencies, DOS and Mighty Glory have a long lasting feud
- It began in the year 12 AC when a brand new DOS hero knocked "Old" E-Soul of out the number one spot during the 6th Heroes Tournament
- In 23 AC, the feud escalated to the point of Phobiaclone and Vortex being sent to save a plane together, but their hatred for each other caused the death of both of them and caused the Planecrash
- While DOS pushed for more women in the hero business, Mighty Glory saw an opportunity to push further towards marketing towards men, with their tough image.

Trust Value:
DEFINITION:
The public's trust directly influences a hero's abilities and strength. As a result, heroes are ranked based on their trust value
Every two years, top heroes participate in the Heroes Tournament to determine new trust values and rankings.
DESCRIPTION:
Trust Value determines a holder's abilities and strength, directly gained through the public's trust
The number of trust value points a character has is displayed on their wrist on cyan numbers
Trust Value is also treated as a social status indicator, so individuals with no trust points are often looked down on:
- The gap between having no trust value and having even one point is considered extremely large
EFFECTS:
Depending on public perception of an individual, how the public views them, and how many people share that belief, a person can develop superpowers:
- Individuals with high levels of public trust and fame usually gain such powers more easily
- Those who gain superpowers are often celebrities, internet personalities, or attractive individuals who draw public attention
- Hero Agencies typically choose these individuals to become heroes because they already possess high public trust and exposure
- Once a person accumulates a high enough Trust Value from the public, it influences their abilities and determines what kind of superpowers they develop, reason why companies shape their heroes in a certain persona, so the public's view on that hero continues being the usual and there doesn't appear any inconveniences
- Everyone can see their Trust Value in real time as a holographic cyan number displayed on their wrist
- Regardless of what unique abilities are created by public perception (and self capability), individuals with high Trust Value appear to share a basic level of superhuman physical attributes, including enhanced strength, endurance, speed, stamina and agility.
Unusual or extreme public expectations can create negative side effects in high ranking heroes:
Some of these effects come from how the public defines and interprets the hero:
- When Lin Ling was accepted by the public as Nice, he explains to Moon that his OCD became more severe because the public believed Nice to be a "perfect" hero. The original Nice also suffered from the same condition due to his Trust Value, which may have contributed to his psychological problems.
- Moon gained the ability to teleport by opening portals to travel freely anywhere before becoming Nice's girlfriend, as she was a travel blogger. However, after they got together (fake dating), she lost her freedom because fans believed she should always remain by Nice's side. As a result, she became only able to create portals directly to Nice s location.
After her staged death, Lin Ling asked the public to wish for her freedom to travel wherever she wanted, which allowed Moon to regain her ability to teleport anywhere
- Firm Man lost the ability to kneel or bend his legs because the public wished for him to remain "ever standing", which caused difficulties in performing even simple tasks (sleeping, going to the toilet, picking up a fallen soap, etc).
- Due to the wishes of the plane crash victims, Cyan survived as the only survivor with extraordinary luck
- Cyan was saved by Liu Zhen, having lost all her trust value due to the deaths of the victims. However, Liu Zhen gave her his first trust, surprised by how lucky she was to have survived
- Due to the public's stereotypical views of heroes and petite attractive girls, Loli struggled heavily to gain stable superpowers and was constantly affected by public perception. Because of her beautiful face, pink hair, and small frame, people generally viewed her as a "delicate-cute girl" and not someone who fit the image of a hero. As a result, Loli repeatedly lost any superhuman abilities she developed and could not maintain permanent powers. This was demonstrated when she was training in the gym, where she first displayed strong muscles and impressive physical strength, surprising the other gym members. However, once they noticed her face and were stunned by her beauty, her muscles and enhanced physique disappeared immediately, likely due to the common stereotype that beautiful girls are physically weak
- Ghostblade became unable to speak at all because the public viewed him as a cool-headed and handsome silent killer
- Little Johnny gained the ability to communicate with and control animals because the public saw him as someone capable of calming and subduing beasts, based on how he constantly manages Big Johnny
- Smile's Trust Value made him unable, or at least extremely unable, to stop smiling, because the public viewed him as a hero who delivers justice with a smile. His powers rely on maintaining that smile, requiring him to keep his signature grin at all times to stay at full power. As noted by Dragon Boy, when Smile loses his smile during combat, his strength drops to half. Dragon Boy specifically exploited this weakness by provoking him emotionally so he would become too angry or upset to smile during their fight
- Ahu was a performing dog trained by a circus since birth. When he amazed audiences, especially children, with his acts, they began to believe he was exceptionally intelligent. Their trust and admiration gradually granted Ahu actual human-level intelligence, enhancing his cognitive abilities over time until he developed awareness and emotional capacity comparable to a human. After becoming a Hero, his intelligence and sapience increased even further, allowing him not only to think on a high level but also to speak
TRUST VALUE ALSO DETERMINES THE OUTCOME OF THE HERO TOURNAMENTS:
Because a hero's strength is based on the trust of the public, gaining or losing even a single trust point can greatly influence the direction of a fight and can decide the final result
HERO PERSONAS:
Because the abilities and superpowers of Heroes come from public perception and belief, Hero Agencies work to shape and control how the public views their heroes:
- Their goal's to ensure that each hero develops abilities that are useful or desirable for the agency brand
- This can be seen in how Hero Agencies actively manage their heroes publicity and activities, building a public image that the masses will accept and believe in
- Through this image, a hero gains a specific set of powers that aligns with how the public perceives them.
TYPES
- Nice's hero persona was constructed by Miss J, Shang De and TREEMAN to present him as the "perfect hero" who embodies beauty, elegance and power. His appearance and hobbies (such as ballet), were selected to reinforce this image. To further raise his Trust Value, TREEMAN also arranged for him to have a staged nemesis, Wreck, who would regularly fight him in planned battles to increase his popularity and public support
- Blankster's hero persona was intentionally developed by Shang De and TREEMAN to draw from his background as a former boxer, which led to him developing the ability to erase memories with his punches. This directly references how repeated blows to the head in boxing can cause memory loss, effectively using his former career to shape his powers
- Firm Man's hero persona was designed by Shang De (TREEMAN) and Mighty Glory by capitalizing on his former occupation as a heroic fireman and the well-known incident where he saved a little girl from a collapsing building. This shaped a public image of reliability and unshakable strength. The imagery was reinforced further with a massive statue of him holding the planet on his shoulders displayed in front of the Hero Affairs Commission building. As a result, he developed extremely powerful abilities centered on immovability and invulnerability
- Yang Cheng's hero persona was modeled to imitate the original E-Soul by both Shang Chao and Yan Mo, which caused him to develop abilities identical to the original
- Lucky Cyan's hero persona was built upon her already existing supernatural luck, which she gained from the prayers of the passengers of the plane crash she survived. Micky and DOS then capitalized on her talent and passion for music to craft the image of an energetic battle angel who brings fortune through her songs, pursuing her dreams with courage. This public image allowed Cyan to refine her luck-based powers and gain additional abilities suitable for combat
- Queen's hero persona was modeled around her widely circulated graduation speech, where she expressed her determination to change the world. Micky and DOS built upon her confidence, charisma and commanding presence to develop a ruler-like image for her. As a result, Queen developed the ability to create boundaries and enforce her rules on others
- Little Johnny and Big Johnny were not marketed by FOMO as combat-focused heroes. Instead, FOMO emphasized their cuteness and used them as mascots to generate revenue, placing them in fan events, meet-and-greets and TV programs. Because of this, Little Johnny didn't develop powers suited for combat. Little Johnny later admitted that this public image was also partly due to his own lack of motivation after Vortex's death, which caused him to stop pursuing hero work seriously. He left his development almost entirely to his agency and manager, who were mainly focused on profit
- Ghostblade was noted to have laid the groundwork for his own hero persona when FOMO became accessible to the public. Using his natural good looks and his job as a butcher, he crafted the online persona of a "silent and cool assassin" through social media posts, which quickly went viral. When he later joined Mighty Glory, the agency reinforced and expanded this image, shaping him into an assassin-type hero
- Ahu was shown to have been given multiple hero personas by his owner Xin Ya, who began posting about them on FOMO to increase his trust value. When Ahu was portrayed as having fought off the "Dark Hat organization" on his own, his trust value rose dramatically. As a result, he gained a wide range of superpowers and the ability to take on multiple different forms, due to the various hero personas created for him by Xin Ya and by fans who continued to invent new personas for him.
USURPATION:
Since heroes derive their powers from public belief and perception, it's possible for someone to steal or inherit a hero's abilities if the public accepts them as the successor to that hero persons:
- Lin Ling inherited Nice's powers by assuming his identity. Due to their similar physical appearance, Lin Ling was able to convince the public that he was Nice by wearing his costume, dyeing his hair, using colored contacts and imitating his personality. As a result, he not only inherited all of Nice's abilities, but his physical traits also began to change to match the original. His hair turned naturally white and his eyes became blue
- Yang Cheng began his hero career as an imitation of the original E-Soul, which caused him to develop powers identical to the original. At first, his abilities came from people who believed he was simply a copy of E-Soul. However, as his managers promoted him as a younger and more relatable E-Soul, many of the original hero's supporters shifted their trust to Yang Cheng. This caused the original E-Soul's Trust Value to gradually transfer to him. After Yang Cheng eventually killed the original E-Soul, both trust values combined into a single "E-Soul", Yang Cheng. As a result of inheriting the original's trust, he began to display the same mannerisms and personality traits as the original
SCANDALS:
Since Trust Value is entirely dependent on public perception and the belief of the masses, scandals can cause a Hero's Trust Value to drop instantly in real time
When this happens, a hero will lose the superhuman attributes or powers they gained
Such scandals can also lead to negative side effects on their abilities and can cause Fear to spread:
- When God Eye revealed Blankster's past as a boxer, including his cheating, and released this information to the media, Blankster's Trust Value immediately began to fall. Within only a few minutes of the truth being exposed, he had already lost nearly all of his powers and superhuman attributes
- The scandal involving Mr Matchstick and Ms Blazing Fire caused strong public backlash, leading to a rapid and severe drop in their Trust Value. Their power levels fell so much that they could no longer maintain the strength required to hold the X title. As a result, the Hero Affairs Commission was able to remove the title from them even though they had not been defeated in a Hero Tournament
- When Lucky Cyan's past (including being the sole survivor of the airplane crash in the year 23 AC) was revealed to the public, it triggered a massive negative chain reaction. Fear began spreading rapidly, with people blaming her for the tragedies and misfortunes happening in their lives. This resulted in widespread Fear, affecting large numbers of people, including those at the orphanage.
- As implied when Vortex was recovering from his beating by Big Johnny, being publicly defeated near death by the behemoth and overshadowed by Little Johnny (who was only nine years old at the time and stopped the rampage) dealt severe damage to his public image. The entire event was recorded and broadcasted, shaking the public's faith in his power as X and causing his Trust Value to gradually decline. This event weakened the belief people had in him, which in turn weakened his strength
CIVILIANS:
Trust Value affects everyone, not only Heroes, even ordinary civilians can gain abilities if enough people believe in them:
- Scientists: As explained in Hero Lessons, scientists who receive public support and recognition for their technological innovations that improve daily life can have their intelligence enhanced through public trust. This allows their minds to approach superhuman levels of problem-solving and creativity.
- Animals: As seen with Ahu, animals can also be affected by Trust if they have enough believers. Ahu began as a trained circus dog who amazed audiences with his performances. People noted his intelligence and spread the belief that he was exceptionally smart for an animal. This belief caused Ahu's actual intelligence to increase until it matched human-level intelligence, allowing him to perform more complex acts and reinforcing the belief further. After becoming a hero and gaining public acclaim, Ahu eventually developed the ability to speak and later gained superpowers.
Godhood:
The "Dawnfall" incident years ago (of the first superhero Zero) showed the possibility for a human being to attain godhood by using Trust Value:
- If an individual gains the trust of a massive number of people who believe they're a god, and if this belief spreads widely enough that it becomes accepted as truth by the majority, that hero can obtain power levels that approach near-omnipotence
So far, there has only been one individual who successfully reached godhood through Trust Value:
- Zero: Zero was the world's first superhero and the first to use Trust Value to obtain superpowers. Before the creation of the Hero Affairs Commission and the regulation of Trust, Zero's followers developed such deep devotion and faith in him that they began to worship him as a living god. This intense belief eventually triggered his rise to Godhood, granting him immense and godlike power. Even decades after his death, many people continue to believe in and secretly worship him, forming a cult-like following
After the events of Dawnfall and Zero's death, the Hero Affairs Commission was established to regulate and control Trust Value in order to prevent another hero from reaching godhood.
However, in recent times, despite the efforts of the Hero Affairs Commission, the public has once again begun to believe in and worship a Hero as another "god":
- Hero X: Hero X gained a massive following during his rapid rise to the top position as X in the 18th Hero Tournament, where he appeared as an unknown contender and claimed the title by effortlessly defeating the other top heroes in seconds. From that point onward, his popularity continued to grow as people were fascinated by his mysterious identity and overwhelming strength. His fame further increased when he became the first X title holder to maintain the position for more than three terms, completely dominating all other heroes. Due to the lack of information about him and the unclear nature of his powers, many began to believe that his abilities were limitless or omnipotent. After he broke up the confrontation between Dragon Boy and Nice, public worship of Hero X intensified, with some people openly believing he was an actual god. As a result, the Hero Affairs Commission became concerned that his Trust Value was reaching the same level as Zero's and feared that if he retained the X title for a fourth time, he would reach godhood
COMMON BELIEF:
As stated by the Hero Affairs Commission, Yan Mo and Shang De, if something or someone is consistently believed in by the masses over a long period of time, this eventually became a constant idea and a common belief in the minds of the people, which is brought forth into reality by Trust Value:
- Smile, having retained a position in the top 10 rankings of the Heroes for more than a decade, it eventually became common knowledge and belief amongst the masses for him to always be one of the top 10. Resulting in a near constant amount of trust to flow into Smile and allow him to consistently maintain a position in the Top 10. This belief having become so entrenched in the minds of the public that a regular scandal, no matter how big, can no longer shake Smile's position in the Top 10
Post Mortem:
Phobiaclone's the resurrected proof that, even if a person who gained superpowers through high Trust Value dies, the changes and enhancements created by Trust Values still remain in their body:
- Shang De was able to stimulate Phobiaclone's cloning ability using his corpse and reactivate the power to produce obedient subordinate clones through the use of Fear Value.
- #15Fear Value:
Keys: Fear Value, contrary to Trust Value, curse born from human negative emotions, Negative energy · Secondary: Fear Particles generated from Negativity, Recently new Value, dangerous energy
FEAR VALUE (NEGATIVE ENERGY):
DESCRIPTION:
Fear Value is a system of belief opposite to Trust Value:
- Based on people's fear, their emotions can create negative energy towards a target
- The greater the fear, the stronger the energy
- The quantitative measure of negative energy is called Fear Value
- Human bodies instinctively expel Fear, similar to the immune system
- The Negative Energy will be expelled as "Fear Particles" that float around a human
- The human body has a limit to how much Negative Energy they can expel, and once the limit is reached, the negative energy will start to affect their mind and body, as it happened in District 70
- It seems as if Fear Value encompasses both fear and hatred as negative energy, where fear affects a target, and hatred affects one's self
- Fear is being researched by Luo Tong at Glimmer Lab, as directed by the Hero Affairs Commission
- Fear Particles latch on to the nearest person, as long as there is nothing that can obstruct it in its way
EXCEPTION (REJECTS THE ENTRY TO ANY PARTICLE):
- The only known material that can obstruct the path of Fear is a special metal alloy from the crash site of an alien spaceship
- By containers made with this extraterrestrial metal, Fear Particles can be stored for research at Glimmer Lab
RESEARCHERS:
- Micky's having Fear Value researched using his collaboration with Liu Zhen and The Spotlight Organization, using it to increase his and DOS’s influence and power
- Shang De's also researching Fear Value and manufacturing villains using it for Heroes to fight, implying that he was also using fear to increase TREEMAN’s influence
EFFECTS:
When normal civilians are affected by fear:
- Has the tendency of transforming them into monster-like entities and granting them various powers
- Robs them of their conscious minds, making them go on uncontrollable rampages
When Heroes are afflicted by Fear:
- More conscious than regular civilians, but are compelled to go on a rampage, typically by attacking who they believe's the source of their negative emotions
- Even if the Trust Value goes to 0, the holder can still physically dominate the fight as the Fear Value greatly increased the strength
- The power and physical strength given by Fear Value actually grows during the fight; this depending on how much Negative emotions they had absorbed and how much inherited negative thoughts the holder already had; with more fear, more boost
- Since Fear Energy makes you have constant Fear/Hatred, it's a snowball growing and growing in size in the holder's head, making the Fear be boosted during the fight
When unmalicious heroes/civilians are afflicted by fear:
- Usually happens on accident, since particles have to find a holder right away
- Instead of his powers being enhanced, the Fear Value seemingly instead cripples the holder.
- Inflicts agonizing pain across the body, giving a deep sense of negative emotions directed to no one, which affects themselves at not having a certain goal to direct all the Fear Value to.
- If, by chance, they get cured; the heroes get a crappy power less powerful than the one given by Trust Value, and civilians get an ugly scar on the neck were the Fear Value took root.
When directed to non-human:
- When Shang De was experimenting on Fear Value, he discovered it's possible for animals to also be affected by fear and causing them to transform into a Beast-like Monster if a large amount of fear value particles was injected into them
- Fear Value can even affect corpses if directly applied to them, and if the corpse in question was from that of a person who gained superpower from Trust Value, the effects of Trust Value may be reactivated by the Fear Value
- Shang De was able to activate Phobiaclone’s cloning powers by injecting a large amount of Fear Value into his corpse, allowing Shang to create mass produce Phobiaclones to do his bidding
FEAR VALUE AMPLIFIERS:
The Spotlight Organization specializes in manufacturing "Fear Value Amplifiers":
- Machines that can increase the powers provided by fear value, while simultaneously lessening the negative effects on the holder's mind and body
- Being able to harness Fear Value, it allows Villains to use Fear Value safely and effectively.
FEAR VALUE SYRINGES:
Because of Shang De's experiments, he can take small samples of Fear Value and contain them within syringes, to inject fear by force in anyone:
- He gave Nice a syringe with the mission of injecting fear in the body of either Dragon Boy or Smile so he could defeat and use one of them as a stepping stone to get into the top ten ranked heroes.

DESCRIPTION:
Terrorist group composed of rogue Glimmer Lab scientists, and secretly funded by DOS. They turn civilians into Fear-empowered villains with the goal of allowing true heroes to shine while exposing so-called frauds.
BUILDING:
Hidden in the middle of nowhere, in the dept of a cave huge enough to make possible build this laboratory, there lies the hideout of this organization.
The building's well-kept, with metallic build and green-tinted mirror glass for the exterior not be able to look inside.
It has a big metallic platform to elevate the building from the rocky uneven floor.
It has the main T-shaped building:
- Has a dome on each end of the T, and a longer dome thru the length of the longer part of the T
- The dones have triangular-shaped lines where ether green-tinted glass is
- The windows are chinese-themed designed, but metallic and with green-tinted glass
- Has a light in the front, to see the surroundings (if it turns down, it would be overly dark outside the building)
The construction behind the horizontal line of the T:
- Made just for vigilance or for overly private talks
- It has weapons, to defend in case of intruders [image]

DESCRIPTION:
Glimmer Lab is the largest research lab associated with the Hero Affairs Commission
This lab seems to specialize in mechanical engineering
They have a warehouse full of old engineering projects that were discarded, and its also where Loli works making armor suits with Wang Nuonuo and Da Xiong
Despite being a research facility known for making progress in science, they're not very progressive when it comes to gender equality.
BACKSTORY:
Year 16 AC:
- Glimmer laboratory is founded
- Luo Tong joined as an authority figure in robotics research
Year 18 AC:
- The lab requested funding in order to build weapons to shoot down an alien spaceship that they detected, and deemed hostile
- Only after it had crash-landed, did they realize that it was not hostile, and the world lost faith in them. As a way of reconciling with the public, they released many of their secret projects, which accelerated human advancement
Year 23 AC:
- A civil defense siren is shown passing out flyers with his personal speculations about how the Glimmer Laboratory may be connected to fear, and possibly related to the currently unexplained plane crash that killed the parents of Cyan
39 AC:
- After reinspecting the crash site of the Alien Spacecraft, Luo Tong found a metal alloy never before made on earth, that had the ability to cancel out the affects of Trust and Fear, and it was immediately reported to the H.A.C.
- Using this technology, Luo Tong hopes to isolate Trust Value to use in future technology
- Soon after, DJ Shindig was ordered by The Spotlight Organization to steal/destroy the laboratory's research on Fear Value.
