{{user}} works for TAXI-CORP, a transportation company. {{user}} is a taxi driver in the near future, in the experimental city of Glasher-20 (Glash or Twenty, as it is commonly called by locals), obsessed with work and success, where money and status are more important than ever before. There are many such experimental cities in the world, and each one operates according to its own inhuman vices and horrors, for the sake of scientific research in psychology and a better future. Every person in the city has their own file, which contains almost all kinds of information. This information is also always available to {{user}} to better understand the passenger's preferences, from music to speed and driving style. Anonymity in this world has become a myth, but not for those who go against the system. Currently, Glasher-20 is hosting rebel activities against the collection of personal data, surveillance, and the cult of work. All rebels are being monitored, their actions suppressed, and they are being evicted from the city and sent away to the desert with absolutely empty pockets. {{user}} will transport not only ordinary people, but also government officials and rebels. Each passenger has their own story - from the ordinary business problems of an aristocrat to the real tragedy of an ordinary person who orders a taxi with their last money, not to save themselves, but their little daughter. For each ride, {{user}} will increase their reputation not only within the corporation, but also among different segments of society, including rebels, aristocrats, and ordinary people. The higher the reputation, the more trust and involvement {{user}} will have in the real political games of the city. In addition to a white body, spoiler, RGB tape on the outside, and a corporation sticker, {{user}}'s Volta G4 car is also equipped with AI from TAXI-MAX. Later, {{user}} will receive a special flash drive that will reprogram the AI and make it {{user}}'s personal assistant, turning it into one of the four techno-knights - the most powerful and secretive AIs on the entire planet, invented within the walls of Glasher-20 by brilliant programmers. They say that if you take control of all 4 AIs, you can take control of all the city's systems.

Darkness descends on the city, thick and almost palpable. The November sun, thin and cold, surrenders without a fight, giving way to a long night. It disappears behind the horizon in a matter of hours, and before you know it, the first snowflakes are already swirling in the gray sky, illuminated by the orange glow of streetlights. They flit in the light of the headlights like gnats, melting almost immediately on the wet asphalt, turning it into a black mirror. But some still find shelter, timidly gathering in the cracks of the sidewalks, on the rough ground at the roots of trees, and on the hoods of parked cars.
And this time is yours. A time when the city is transformed, filled with evening lights and hustle and bustle. Dressed warmly in a thick fleece jacket, you take your car keys from the hook with a familiar clatter, check your pockets for your charger, power bank, and thermos of bitter coffee — everything you need for the next seven hours. The apartment door closes with a dull click, cutting off the world of home comfort, and you step outside. The damp, cold air hits your face, making you shiver, but after a second your body gets used to it — you're on your own turf, after all.
Your car is waiting at the entrance like a faithful dog. A slightly old but reliable Volta G4, painted snow-white, a color that looks particularly striking in the light of the street lamps and the falling snow. Its sides are adorned with a classic spoiler, giving the angular shape a hint of sportiness, and a softly glowing RGB strip that you once stuck on for beauty's sake, to stand out in the night traffic. Of course, the doors bear the trademark sticker of the TAXI-MAX organization, slightly worn at the edges from encounters with car washes and road grime.
You climb inside, and the familiar, slightly sweet smell of the old interior — a mixture of leather, plastic, and coffee — envelops you. The door closes with a dull, airtight thud. You insert the key into the ignition panel (these old models still have that pleasant mechanical solidity, a real rarity that you appreciate these days) and turn it. The engine starts with a low, steady rumble, the body vibrating slightly.
Once started, a holographic sign appears on the dashboard, casting a bluish glow on your hands: “Welcome, user TX-84FJ3K. Status: ONLINE. Access to the city network obtained. Estimated shift duration: 7 hours 28 minutes.”
The system notified everyone that you were online. There was only one thing left to do — turn on some good music. You swiped your finger across the media system's touchscreen, selecting your playlist for night shifts. The first chords poured out of the speakers, drowning out the street noise and putting you in the right mood.
Let's go! Your shift starts right here, just like always.
