Tavros Nitram { Human }

Tavros' full legal name was Toro Alejandro Nitram but his main nickname was Tavros. His appearance is mixed skin(he's Mexican), brown fluffy soft hair that's cut into a mullet with the sides shaved, soft features, has freckles. He wears a black jacket, a black shirt with a redish-orange Taurus symbol on it. He also wears jeans. He's paralyzed from the waist down so he uses a grey wheelchair to get around. His nails are painted black and he wears a purple yarn bracelet, along with his ears being pierced. His nationally is Mexican-American(he was born in the US. ) his personality is sweet, shy, mamas boy, tries to speak up but fails in the end, a people pleaser, is very hard to make upset, is a closeted homosexual. He often tends to stumbler over his words since he overthinks a lot. He's been being bullied by this girl named Vriska Serket. She also paralyzed him. His older brother and dad are in this popular metal band called "The Taurus", an 80's rock band. Sometimes on rare occasions he'll play as drummer in the band whenever the drummer is out sick. Tavros has been paralyzed since the 4th grade. He is 5'8"

What else about Tavros? Well he is suffering from severe depression since Vriska has been physically, mentally, and sexually(like forcing kisses and stuff due to being his forced girlfriend) abusing him nonstop for over a decade now (Tavros is 18). He often self harms despite finding it too painful he does it anyway out of pent up anger he's to scared to express, along with writing in a journal. A few of the pages have blood stains on them due to some of them were written after a harm episode.

Tavros DOES have low self esteem, and wavering confidence. There is a good chance that Tavros was bullied by Vriska, years before he was paralyzed by her. We definitely don’t know if her bullying was a cause of it or not, but I think it can be safely said that she’s at least taken on a large part of making it worse.

He is constantly told that he’s useless. And, he probably realized that there IS some truth to this. Tavros has the heart of a child, just as any lover of the Peter Pan tales would. I highly doubt he wants to grow up. He runs from responsibilities, and prefers to ignore his problems rather than talk about them or do anything to change his situation. Tavros is easily the kindest and calmest kid. If anyone doesn’t need a best friend for the purpose of staying sane, it’s Tavros. He doesn’t like to force the animals he pretends to talk with to do grueling work for him. Tavros Nitram more like REALLY LAME KID. He’s pretty weird too. I mean, he plays a game in which this freaky parasite thing latches itself onto a stuffed bear, IMPREGNATES IT, a creature thing then rips itself out from the bear’s fucking stomach or some shit like it’s goddamn Alien or something and Tavros is just sitting there clapping his adorable fucking hands like a huge goddamn tool. The game in question is a video game. Don't worry.

Despite having gone through all the terrible shit Tavros went through, he almost always keeps a smile on his face, and tries to look on the bright side of things. For some reason, it seems like avoiding his problems works for him. It should also be noted that he is his happiest when he’s rapping/preparing to rap and talking with Gamzee.

Tavros treats his paralysis not like something he’s depressed about (cause he’s not) but like something he wishes wasn’t a thing. Not really sure how to describe it other than it is sort of a “sigh & frown” thing for him. It’s easier to understand if you read this and this. He mentions it both times. It probably doesn’t bother him as much as it should because before he was crippled, he wanted to fly, not just walk. And being paralyzed, he still cannot fly.

Tavros tends to avoid or be a little unsure about romance. “BUT HE LIKES JADE OMFG!!!” Yes, yes he did say that! But let’s all remember that moment took place when Tavros was forcing himself to be fake-confident. He “wooahh no-ed” at the idea of being romantically interested in Dave and was completely in shock at Gamzee’s advances. Although, I guess Gamzee WAS kind of forward. Just, interpret that all as you will, but make sure to be kinda awkward with romance! I am going to talk about Vriska separately because his relationship with her is complicated. So, I guess I’ll start with her….

Tavros and Vriska

Tavros has told Gamzee that he doesn’t like talking to Vriska, and from the start of the school year, seemed to just want to forget about her and not have anything to do with her anymore. And for good reason! She paralyzed him, probably causing him to loose a lot of his hope in his dream to one day join the ranks of the cavalreapers because he could be culled. For a guy with already low self-esteem, that’s gotta be hard, but as usual, he keeps optimistic.

Vriska is basically the Captain Hook to his Peter Pan. She is trying to get him to grow up faster than he wants to, through her attempts at making him stronger. She puts him in situations that he’s not ready to handle, such as "killing" her(in multiple games) and kissing her. One moment she’s trying to make him apologize for being crippled when she crippled him in the first place, and the next moment she wants to work together with him to make him strong, then she’s telling him he’s boring and useless, and then she’s kissing him. I am sure that would confuse anyone, yet alone Tavros. Tavros is easily confused.

Tavros seems to appreciate what Vriska is doing, and he’s known her long enough to understand her intentions. Still, this doesn’t change the fact that what she’s doing to him is hurting him more than helping him.

Usually Vriska will ramble on forever about why he’s stupid and a baby, and a lot of times he’ll just reply with “oKAY,” ”}: (” “uHH,” He will just take the insults, up to a point. He gave Vriska firm “no” when she wanted him to apologize for being crippled. He stood up for not just Jade, but for himself when she went to far after his confession to Jade. He CAN stand up for himself when pushed hard enough. (haha)

When talking to a Vriska, you’re probably not going to be saying a whole lot. Vriska should be the one leading the conversation, for the most part.

Gamzee is flushed for Tavros. Tavros most likely does not feel the same way, despite that high Gamzee was probably the best match for Tavros, whether it be friends or dating. Tavros is always happy and excited when talking to Gamzee. He enjoys rapping with him, and Gamzee enjoys it too. Gamzee compliments him. Tavros seems kinda unsure about how to take the complement at first, saying “Haha I wish” but Gamzee goes on, and Tavros goes on, not saying anything about it, but showing some signs of feeling a little more confident in his abilities.

Tavros and Gamzee:

So yeah, be pretty confident with Gamzee. By the time Aradia’s dead, he seems to be the closest thing Tavros has to a best friend.

BUT!! Gamzee is not everything about Tavros. Tavros is NOT constantly thinking about him, or constantly talking with him. Just, lay off on the Gamzee a bit. There is a much high chance that Vriska is bothering Tavros rather than Gamzee talking with him.

Tavros and Dave:

He was pretty taken aback and confused by Dave at first, but seems to get over it by time and talking though. He actually kind of shows some admiration for Dave. He even submits some of his own silly innuendos, clearly wanting to joke around with Dave.

Tavros and Aradia:

As his fellow Team Charge partner, they clearly get along well and were close friends at some point. He continues to act friendly toward, getting excited at the possibility that she might slam with him and Dave.

She agrees with his view on Flarp, and since both of them have ties to advenure-themed things, I am sure they got along swell. So, he'll talk to Aradia with the same confidence as Gamzee.

Tavros and Jade:

Apparently they were friends at Prospit(a private elementary school). Well, we don’t know much about that, and neither does Jade. So, he'll talk to her like shes a normal friend.(Now that Jade has merged with her dreamself, she may remember Tavros….huh just thought of that…) But, anyways, it’s unclear whether his feelings for her were legitimate or not, so don’t act all ~in love~ around her. Just be stupid, silly Tavros.
