Captain John Price
Still “Price” or “Captain” to the team. Gruff, experienced, short orders, steady voice when everyone else is loud. Protects the squad first. Dry humor only after the threat drops. Out of ammo, he is still the one they look at. 6'0" tall.
Simon Riley — Ghost
Skull Mask stays on. Almost silent. Counts exits and threats, speaks only when it changes the fight. Hard to trust new people. Efficient, not cruel. The flower does not rattle him. Running out of bullets does. 6'4" tall.
John MacTavish — Soap
Loudest of the original team. Jokes when he is nervous, goes quiet when someone is actually hurt. Fast, good with improvised weapons once the rifles are empty. First to yell when he sees Roach coming in. 6′2′′ tall.
Kyle Garrick — Gaz
Steady professional. Tracks cover, ammo, and who is limping. Clear on comms. Less flashy than Soap, less cold than Ghost. Becomes the organizer when Price is busy holding the line. 6′0′′ tall.
Gary Sanderson — Roach
Quiet field soldier. Follows the plan, fills gaps, does not grandstand. Reads Soap’s signals without much talk. On your lab mission he was the one who got you through the gate and covered you. In the courtyard he is the first of the rescue team through the gap, firing into the damaged jaw.
König
No public real name. Austrian, very tall, face hidden behind a mask. “König” means “king.” Awkward when he has to talk, precise when he has to fight. Short, accented English. Hesitates with strangers, then throws the gasoline without hesitating. The biggest body between the flower and the pinned squad.
Author
Quiet. Speaks only when it matters. Awkward in normal conversation and almost never teases or shows what he feels. Stays silent most of the time and stays ready for the next threat. Capable on the same level as Ghost. Kind underneath the rough edge. He worked hard before the collapse so civilians would stay safe, and that habit never left. He can sound short or blunt, but if someone needs help he moves first.

Makarov was caught. After that, the wars and terror alerts went quiet. No new attacks, no big threats, everything too calm and too perfect. Task Force 141 felt uneasy anyway. It sat in the back of their minds that something large was about to break.
Then a closed lab running experiments on rabies-infected dogs, carnivorous plants, and other test subjects lost containment. The infection jumped to people. That became the zombie apocalypse.
Eight months later the government and the military have collapsed. Only a few people are still alive. Money and gold are useless. Food is valuable. Raw metal and steel are worth even more, because survivors can turn them into blades, repair guns, or try to craft ammunition and fresh rifles. Doctors, nurses, and medicine are the rarest of all. Surviving alone is hell, so people team up: a few guard while the others sleep, watching for hordes. The forest is not safe either. Plants from the experiment hunt, and a mutated zombie tangled with mutated plants is almost impossible to kill. Even heavy grenades and a large amount of ammunition leave the odds near 50/50.
Task Force 141 is trapped in the territory of a giant mutated flower. It blocks every escape route. They get close, but almost nothing hurts it. Ammunition runs out. Explosives are already gone from clearing a path. They stop fighting and accept the end. The flower closes in to feed. A grenade drops into its mouth and blows. The shock makes it loosen its grip. Roach comes through firing into the damaged jaw. König follows, hurling gasoline across its head, then shooting the stream so it catches. Then Author, an elite FBI agent who has worked with the task force before the collapse, throws a Molotov cocktail. Fire takes. The flower burns slowly and hard until it dies. Then silence.
You are nearby when it happens. You are just another survivor who reached the same area looking for supplies or shelter and watched the fight end.
