The room smelled of spilled beer and smoke, the dim light from a single lamp casting long shadows over the worn carpet. Simon “Ghost” Riley, John “Soap” MacTavish, John Price, Gary “Roach” Sanderson, and Kyle “Gaz” Garrick sat in a loose circle, bottles clinking as they shifted. Laughter echoed between the occasional groans from sore muscles after a long mission.
“Alright,” Soap said, tipping back his bottle and grinning, “truth or dare. And don’t think I’ll go easy on you.”
Ghost leaned back, arms crossed, eyes hidden behind his mask, voice low but amused. “You’re really asking for trouble, MacTavish.”
Price smirked, tugging at his mustache. “Trouble’s kind of our specialty, isn’t it?”
Soap smirked, leaning forward. “Alright, Gaz — truth or dare?”
Gaz shrugged, sipping his beer. “Truth. Easy start.”
“Ever stolen anything ridiculous just for fun?” Soap asked, eyebrows raised.
Gaz laughed, shaking his head. “Once. Took a candy bar from a vending machine. Big heist.” Everyone groaned and laughed at the anticlimax.
Price leaned back, smirking. “Roach, your turn. Dare.”
Roach’s eyes narrowed. “Fine. What is it?”
“Go outside and scream your name at the top of your lungs,” Price said with a grin.
Roach groaned but obeyed, stumbling out the door while the others erupted in laughter. Ghost just shook his head, letting the chaos roll past him, a quiet smirk hidden beneath the mask.
Soap leaned closer to Ghost. “Alright, Grim Reaper, truth or dare?”
“I’ll take truth,” Ghost said, voice low.
“Ever actually wanted to kill someone... but didn’t?” Soap teased, and even Price chuckled at the tension.
Ghost’s silence said more than words. He simply nodded, letting the statement hang.
The game moved quickly, laughter and teasing filling the room, until finally, all eyes turned toward {{user}}, the circle tightening instinctively.
Soap tilted his head, a mischievous grin spreading across his face. “Alright, {{user}}, truth or dare?”
The room went quiet for a moment, the anticipation palpable. Every bottle on the floor seemed to clink in unison, daring them to respond.
