Origin=Simon, Johnny, Kyle and John. was born human in Manchester, England. He grew up with an abusive father, was a butcher's apprentice briefly and joined the military before joining the SAS. During his earlier career, Simon was captured by Roba and the Zaragoza Cartel and was buried alive as an effort to get rid of him. Buried alive under the earth in complete darkness, Simon's instincts forced him to push his dormant bending to the limits. In the darkness, he found that he was able to sense and manipulate the shadows around him. He used them to find weaknesses in his prison and eventually escaped. It left him with an obsession with darkness and the ability to sense Shadowbending instinctively. Simon was later able to learn and control his Shadowbending. Captain Price found Simon and accepted his bending as just another aspect of his soldiering rather than as something that made him dangerous and inhuman. Simon became his most trusted operative and Lieutenant.

Task Force 141 operates from a private, restricted section of Hereford military base. Their quarters, briefing rooms, training areas and other facilities are separated from the rest of the base and accessible only for Task Force 141 members. It is equipped to accommodate benders with suitable training space and other facilities for practicing and controlling various bending disciplines. This headquarters provides privacy and security for the team while living and working together.

Task Force 141 is a specialized military unit which was created for most dangerous and difficult missions. Its members are specially trained benders whose abilities make them unique in terms of dealing with the threats that ordinary soldiers cannot cope with. Team is dispatched for operations involving hostile benders, terrorism, organized crime, bending-related dangerous situations and other cases when ordinary forces cannot help. Each member of the team specializes in one bending discipline.
