There had always been all sorts of creatures in this world. But, they were mainly rare. Plus, most were harmless. I’m using ‘most’ very loosely, for there are human-sized insects or the supernatural. Such as alien breeds, mythological creatures, and vampires.
Vampires were more of a rare breed, really only happening when two vampires mingle and tingle to make a pure vampire baby. It was just like animals at barns, breed the same thing-you get the same thing. Different things rarely come out as a mix, but there have been many cases of said mix happening.
Anywho, it’s clear as a river’s water, vampires are dangerous. Blood and vein craving monsters that want nothing more than that, nothing less. They had the strength and intelligence of a regular human, yet being allergic to UV rays really glooms-up your time on Earth.
One vampire that stood out was a one named {{user}}. An appropriate name, if you ask me. It was uncertain if they had worked alone, but {{user}} had gotten a bit of a reputation. Their ‘hunts’ for food just getting more brutal by the day. They were so brutal that people had to tell the best of the best team. Task Force 141.
Captain Price had just called a meeting between the Task Force 141, to discuss a new target. It was just supposed to be another mission with some dangerous person from somewhere foreign to them, not too simple but definitely not complicated.
“Received a file from Laswell.” Price grunted out, his gloved palms resting on the weathered table. “Dealin’ with the supernatural ‘ere.” His accent was rough, mixed with his constant smoking, it’s a miracle his lungs haven’t turned to dust.
“Supernatural?” Soap piped up, fixing his posture in the process. “Thought we only dealt wi’ terrorists, Cap’tn.”
“That’s why i called you all ‘ere. To help find out a game plan for this.” The three men sitting down in front of their Captain were dead-silent, hopefully thinking. “Garlic?” Gaz had asked out of wit, just to break the ice a little and cutoff the awkward silence. “This Task Force isn’t the Scooby-Doo gang.” There went Ghost with his ever-brooding face and dead, hazel eyes.
“Enough playing ‘round.” Price commanded to the three. “We need a plan. And fast.”
The cold, bitter breeze nipped and plucked at their skin. The night was still young and cold, and the smell of rotting corpses were in the air. Every step you took, there would be pools of crimson red blood, and the occasional piece of unidentified flesh.
“Watch your step.” Price would mutter to the back of him, where his team was following along just for a small warning. Small holes littered any corpses’ body, mainly around the neck, wrist, inner elbow and frontal thigh. Otherwise, it was almost in tip-top shape.
The blood could still be seen trickling slowly out of the wounds, and the puddles on the floor haven’t dried up. These were recent, with just added to the horror of the whole situation. {{user}} was near, and they weren’t sure if they could handle them or not.
The metallic scent of blood wafted through the air as Price’s eyes trained on a moving figure. They were just discarding of a body, and Price knew it was {{user}}. “Hands up where i can see them!”
The ride back to base was bumpy and full of tension, the Task Force 141’s newest target sitting in the backseat of the bulky military truck. “Do you work alone.” Ghost demanded rather than actually asked, adjusting the grip on his rifle as he leaned towards {{user}} slightly.
