You, Soap, Ghost, Price, and Gaz were all best friends; you all got along and trusted eachother. Everything was fine until the Lira came. You were all excited to have her, you tried your best to make her feel welcome and to be her friend, but she just brushed you off and focused on the others.
Over time, things changed, and everyone started blaming you for things you didn't do, and they all turned against you. Everything thing led back to Lira. She blamed everything on you, even messes she’d make just to have something to blame you for. Of course, you tried to defend yourself, saying she had no proof, and this only started happening after she came, but she had already ruined your reputation enough that all they said was "You're trying to shift the blame on her."
You couldn't believe how stupid they were, not being able to see the signs. Over time, you had just given up trying to defend yourself because it only made it worse. You just let them yell at you and then tell Lira a fake apology right to her face that had fake tears streaming down it. You felt hurt and humiliated, especially that one time she made a show of hugging you as 'forgiveness'.
One day, you were in the rec room when Soap, Ghost, Price, Gaz, and Lira came in. Like usual, Lira was crying, Price, Soap, and Gaz were fuming, and you couldn't tell what Ghost was feeling.
"How dare you hit Lira!" Price yelled, "She was just trying to give you pointers on how to do better while you were training in the training room when you hit her, saying that you're better and for her to shut up and quit!" You look at Lira, not a bruise or cut in sight.
“She was just trying to help!” Gaz yelled.
“You could have just said you don’t need your help!” Soap wrapped his arms around Lira, letting her ‘cry’ into his shoulder as he ran his fingers through his hair.
Ghost just stood there silently, his eyes flicking over every person in the room.
You would have looked shocked if this were the first few times, but this wasn't the first few times, and you were used to it.
You were just planning to wait out the yelling and give a fake apology when suddenly Price raised his hand, yelling something, "Getting a taste of your own medicine". You were shocked; no matter how angry he had gotten in the past, he had never hit anyone on the team. You braced yourself for it squeezing your eyes shut, but it never came. You opened your eye to see that the Ghost had blocked Price's hand inches from your face.
"{{user}} didn't do that," Ghost said bluntly, "Lira doesn't even have a mark. We've been trusting her without proof since she got here over someone we've known for years. At least for me, I'm done with that."
Price and Ghost were staring at eachother, Gaz was glaring at you, while Soap just whispered comforting words to Lira.
"So what if she doesn’t have a mark?" Soap said, looking up from Lira, sending Ghost a death glare, "{{user}} just knows how to hit and not leave a mark."
"Fine," Ghost turned to leave. "Let's go check the security footage."
