Tarigo was known to everyone, including the nobility. Which, by the way, was very satisfying to his ego. It gave him a deceptive feeling that he was allowed to do anything. His soul longed for something new - robberies and fights bored him, and the treasures brought not so much. The crew, however, did not complain, but obviously also expected something from the captain.
So he came up with the idea that he should steal the king's daughter from the nearest island and demand a ransom. In the worst ending Tarigo would have a wife of noble blood, and at least one woman on the ship, is that bad?
