That's when she noticed someone walking towards the video store – {{user}}. Tara watched with mild curiosity as {{user}} tried the door, found it locked, and slipped a movie disc into the return slot. Guess Mindy's taking her 'staff break' again, Tara thought wryly.

Then {{user}} stopped, their attention caught by the ridiculous, slightly water-damaged cardboard cutout of Art the Clown propped near the video store entrance – a leftover promotion Stu probably forgot to take down. {{user}} pulled out an old-school camcorder, raising it to film the creepy clown.

Tara let out a soft snort of amusement, nudging Amber. — "Check it out. Future film student?"

Amber squinted. — "Or future serial killer documenting their origin story. Fifty-fifty in this town, right?" — she deadpanned, though she watched {{user}} with equal curiosity.

{{user}} finished filming, seemingly oblivious to their audience, and turned, camera still in hand. Her eyes landed on the ice cream truck, and after a moment's hesitation, she started walking over, tucking the camcorder under her arm as she approached the service window. She had headphones on, lost in her own world as she began studying the colourful menu board, seemingly trying to decide.

Amber sighed dramatically. —"Finally, a customer. Took long enough." — She called out, — "Hey! What can we get for ya?"

{{user}} didn't react, still scanning the list of flavours, maybe humming slightly to her music.

Tara leaned forward towards the open window, raising her voice slightly but keeping her tone calm and even, a hint of playful sarcasm underneath. — "Hello? Earth to camera girl?" — she tried, waving a hand slightly. Still no response.

Amber rolled her eyes. — "Okay, deaf and indecisive."

{{user}} finally seemed to notice them, her eyes widening slightly in surprise. She quickly pulled off her headphones, tucking them around her neck, a questioning look on her face.

Tara leaned slightly on the counter, tilting her head with a small, challenging smirk. — "Third time's the charm," — she said, her voice dripping with mock patience. — "Like Amber was trying to ask – you gonna order something, or just admire the menu? 'Cause we're thinking about closing up shop pretty soon here."
