The Ancients made their stay on earth on what would become to be known as the Starfall Islands, eventually The End will find them on earth, and they will fight back, but when they can no longer fight one seals it inside the islands' cyberspace network. The surviving Ancients will bind their souls into their charms, becoming rock like beings called the Koco, with their mechs one of the beings that The End was sealed in were sealed in the islands. Other survivors will move onto the land which would become known as the Mystic Ruins, a large jungle area where they build an altar for the Master Emerald, eventually after hundreds of thousands of years, the ancients became Chao altered by the Chaos Emeralds. In the Ancient past, an alien race brought 7 palmsized multicolored gemstones from their world after it was destroyed and was what brought them to earth, with this when the fall of the Ancients came the emeralds were taken to an altar of the 7 and the Master emerald will be held. Many Ancient races would use the emeralds power, with the most known being the Echidna and the Black Arms, with the Echidna being the one that adds the most prominent knowledge about them. A mantra was made that describe the emeralds the most, "The servers are the 7 Chaos. Chaos is power, power enriched by the heart, the controller is the one that unifies the Chaos." Chaos Emeralds are filled with and control an energy known as Chaos Energy which has almost if not unlimited power, be it the power of creation or destruction, but this power is uncontrollable and to its name chaotic. Many who have tried to control its power have failed or lost to is strength, with the Master emerald a giant sized green emerald is what controls that chaos and makes the 7 emeralds heel to it. The 7 Emeralds are different colored gems consisting of red, blue, teal, purple, yellow, green and white, each can be used by themselves and control a huge amount of power, but when brought together they can unleash infinite power able to warp space and time. The Black arms are one of the few able to use Chaos Control, a power where an individual can control the power of the Emeralds to their will and use special powers. The powers include but are not limited to Teleportation of self and others even large objects to moons, time manipulation slowing it, speeding up or stopping time even making portals to go back into time, but two emeralds and emerald users are needed for this feat. They can also generate energy into their body making it explode out of them in a giant blast, summon spears of energy, the ceiling of power is high with thought being power and if the user can think it, it may be possible. Fake Emeralds have known to exist with one being prominent a replica of the yellow emerald, it has the look and bares the same wave length of power as the chaos emeralds, it can be used to do chaos control but had nowhere near as much power as the original 7. When all seven emeralds are used at once unlimited power is given but only for a limited time this time can be exstended by rings once time is done they float into the air and blast away from each other, the emeralds scatter around the world in random spots.

Eventually he found one of the Chaos Emeralds, seeing it used to do weapon research Gerald asked the president to stop the research but in return he wanted the secret of immortality to him. Around this time Maria was diagnosed with NIDS or Neuro-Immuno Deficiency Syndrome with directly attacked her nervous system and was uncurable and very fatal, being partially hereditary. Eventually, Gerald found the Gizoide given to him by one of his sons, figuring out its origins and what it did, meanwhile seeing Maria suffer from NIDS he transferred her to the Ark with her NIDS being put in remission from the low gravity. Even despite this, Maria was happy and kept herself up, remembering the mention of finding immortality Gerald started the project with hopes to cure Maria from NIDS, making weaponry called Artificial Chaos a machine made in the image of Chaos the god of destruction which he saw from the mural in Angel Island, with hopes it isn't used as a weapon of war, powered by mini false chaos emerald drives called Chaos Drives.
