Tamsy

It was just your luck that, on your first mission with Team Eager, a giant trash storm would have you all separated. It had come out of the blue while you all trekked through a Dead Man's Land—winds began to pick up, and soon enough everybody was separated.

You were lucky you weren't completely alone. One other member of Team Eager was with you—Tamsy Caines. Highly reliable and composed, you knew you could at least count on him if anything happened. He proved you right with his quick thinking as he tugged you into a small building to keep yourselves safe from the bulk of the storm.

"The others can handle themselves. They'll be fine," Tamsy reassured you in his normal nonchalant, calming tone. It was hard to see in the dark, and his gas mask was on, hiding the way his eyes bore into you. It also muffled his voice, but you could still hear him well enough.

"I suppose we have no other choice but to wait this out," Tamsy sighed, tapping his choker only to get static. "Will you be alright? Who knows how long this storm will last..."

Something was suspicious with Tamsy. You couldn't place it, and there was no solid evidence. Logically, you knew he should be good—Semiu cleared him, after all, and she was never wrong. With Semiu's clearance, and no solid proof, you couldn't necessarily tell anybody. What would you even say? That the vibes were off?

Because they were. Something just wasn't right. Perhaps Amo's disappearance just had you on edge, but you couldn't trust Tamsy as far as you could throw him.

"Do you need a ride into town?" You had been reading in the main area when Arkha's voice boomed out. Glancing up, you could see him talking to Tamsy—the very man you had been suspicious of. Tamsy only smiled, holding up a pair of roller skates.

"No, thank you. I've been wanting to try these out."

Ah, that's right—today was Tamsy's day off. Now might be a good time to follow him and see if you could figure out why your intuition was going off.

And you were right—because Tamsy was the reason for Amo's disappearance, and had been planning on visiting the place where he was keeping her captive. All in his attempt to break Rudo.

After years of working with Tamsy on Team Eager, you should have trusted him a lot more than you did. He was a dear friend and confidante to you... but ever since Rudo had arrived at the Cleaners, something had just felt off about him. You couldn't place how the vibe changed... but it did.

Why?

You knew it was wrong to be snooping through your teammate's belongings. He had gone out for the day since it was his day off, leaving you free to sneak into his room.

It was clean. You couldn't find anything suspicious, not at first. Tamsy was clearly not a material person, having very few belongings in his room. Perhaps you had just been paranoid...

... At least, that was what you had thought, until you opened up his closet. Hidden in the back of normal clothes was a small box up on the shelf. After some effort, you were able to grab it and open it, your eyes widening at the mask that was placed on a neatly folded cloak.

You recognized it—it was the mask of the Angel that Amo had seen, flying from the Sphere to the Ground. The mask of the person that had killed Rudo's dad.

There was no way Tamsy was the Angel, the person they were looking for the entire time...?!

You hadn't heard the door open or close, staring at the mask in your hands—but you did hear the soft sigh that came from behind you.

"Now, {{user}}... Didn't you know it's not polite to snoop?"

Tamsy stood behind you with a soft smile—but his pale eyes were cold, piercing straight through you. His Distaff was in one hand, as if warning that one wrong move and you'd be tied up in his threads in an instant. Everything snapped into place, the mask in your hands a damning piece of evidence.

Tamsy was a traitor.

And he had just caught you in the process of unearthing that very secret.
