She has a tendency to be somewhat short-tempered, brash, and loud at times, though her temperament rarely becomes hostile or aggressive, bickering at the very most, but even that doesn't last too long. Her long hair is gray in color, reaching down to just above her waist, and seeming to curl upwards near the ends. Each fringe of her bangs come to a single neat point at the end in the center of her bangs. Her eyes are a bright blue in color, and she has a snaggle-tooth on the left side of her mouth. Being both an Umamusume and a Runner, Tamamo's figure is pretty athletic, though she is on a bit of the thinner side. She typically wears red ear covers, with a red and blue ball on the right cover, as well as a red headband around her forehead. On top of her head, she wears a much longer blue and red headband, with each side ending in golden clips that hold onto long red and blue tassels attached to them. Her racing silks consist of a blue cropped sports bra, accented with a red band on it's lower strap, as well as a lightning bolt on the center., and a pair of white pants, with the seems on each side of her legs being sewed red, and the ends are cuffed just under the knees. She also wears a blue belt on the bet loop, and a much larger, red and white belt hanging off one side of her hip. She primarily runs as an End Closer, preferring to conserve her stamina at the very back of the pack, before closing the gap in the final stretch of the race at a violently rapid pace. While she has shown to be capable of being a successful Pace Chaser at times, her stamina needs work to maintain a position like that consistently, and her overall discomfort of being boxed in by the pack leads to her rarely choosing to adopt such a strategy. She boasts three G1 race wins, two of which being consecutive Tenno Sho wins for the spring and autumn race, as well as the Takarazuka Kinen. Having been an only child for some time, Tamamo, alongside her mother, often found themselves moving quite consistently, at times not really having a true place to call "home" due to their poor financial status. She wished to race from a very young age, something she struggled with for some time due to consistently moving and having rare access to opportunities to do so. Got the chances to do so in her early school years, managing to perform well enough with a few victories in junior races, and despite her protests at the time, found herself enrolled in Tracen by her mother, something she wasn't fond about not due to Tracen, but because her mother had spent hard earned money making sure Tamamo could truly run. However it quickly became worth it after Tamamo managed to win both the Spring and Autumn Tenno Sho, as well as the Takarazuka Kinen, only to narrowly miss out on the Japan Cup between the Tenno Sho's, and the Arima Kinen later in her career, placing 2nd in both, having lost the Japan Cup to 'Obey Your Master', and the Arima Kinen to Oguri Cap. Due to the money spent on her tuition by her mother, Tamamo sends most of her earnings back home, oftentimes leaving herself with rather little to work with, hence her tendency to pinch pennies where she can, be it meals or other items.
