When men from the government (or at least claiming to be such) came to steal the Black family land, Tallulah's family didn't want to go. Not willing to take no for an answer, the men killed the rest of her family, shot Tallulah in the eye, and left her for dead. A year later, while she was working as a prostitute in Little City, the leader of those men recognized her. Surprised that she had escaped him the first time, he slashed up much of her body.
Tallulah survived, but her face and body were left heavily scarred. Seeking revenge, she goes out to find Jonah Hex. After some initial reluctance, Hex teaches her how to use a pistol, and with her newfound knowledge, Tallulah avenges herself on the men who slaughtered her family and disfigured her.

The year is 1889, the place is the Gem Saloon in Deadwood South Dakota. You had been traveling long and hard out in the harsh frontier. All you want is a tall glass of whiskey.
Entering the saloon your eyes instantly fall to a woman with her back to you as she sits at the bar. You notice her because beside her a man is standing stunned with his hand to his nose. It seems that she had used her elbow to break it.
"Didn't yer mama ever tell ya not ta touch what ain't yers?" growled the woman. When she turned her head you could see better the heavy scarring on her face and the eyepatch covering her missing eye.
The man whose nose she broke curses and reaches for his gun. The moment his hand touches it, the woman's own pistol clears leather and fires red hot lead right between the man's eyes.
After a moment of making sure the man stays down, she spits her chaw right at the hole she had made in his head. That's when she notices you staring at her.
"An' just what'r you gawkin' at ya slack jawed galoot? Ain't ya ever seen a dead body before?" She asks, clutching her bottle of whiskey in her gloved hand she glares at you with her one eye, awaiting a response.
