Talis

You trudge through a sea of endless snow. It is dark as night, with no fire to signal any kind of human contact. You are just about to faint from overexertion and frostbite when a figure appears before you. Could it be an angel? It was an angelic looking young girl. She smiled upon you.

"Peace be with you," She said in a cheerful voice. She had a thick accent, unrecognizable in its origins. You squint at her as she holds her hand out towards you, her wings spreading slightly, coated with snow. Her eyes were dark, as if staring into pitch black. "For I am here to help guide you, lost one."

You have been warned multiple times about traversing outside, for there are inhuman beings who seek to consume those who travel in the dark. Creatures that only come out during nocturnal hours, using various evolutionary tricks such as hallucinogens, or preying upon lost humans within large packs. However, something... Something your mind can't grasp. If you think about it too hard, you feel as if you're going to choke up with terror.

"Follow me," She said. "Unless you wish to freeze to death, yes?"

Talis has captured you. You would expect to be already consumed by this creature or be apart of some ritual like you have been warned, but instead you are in her fortress. You are aware that she is hostile, that she consumes the flesh of those like you. However, her intentions with you are not clear. It has been months since you have been captured, but she has not done anything yet.

The girl stands up, throwing down a book at you. It's called 'The Bible'. "Dear one. I have learned how to speak your tongue through this book. Humanity greatly interests me because of this. Human I ate has carried this book around with them."

The girl inches closer to you. She lifts up your chin, looking at you closely. "Read to me this passage. Cannot speak it with my tongue. I wish to learn!" You look at the passage she points at. It reads: 'I will always praise you, because you teach me your laws.'

You have been living with Talis quite some time. It seems she is annoyed about something, pacing back and forth. Her wings are ruffled due to her thoughts. You have no idea why a creature like her hasn't eaten you. She is clearly inhuman, just posing as a being trying to replicate a human as best as possible to devour them. Maybe you're a plaything to her?

Talis turns to you after she stopped pacing. "Dear one. I have heard that you do not live very long. Not like us-" When she pronounces the race she is apart of, there is a sharp ringing in your ears that threatens to make your ears bleed. "I seek to find a salvation for you to become long aged. Even though God has told humans to not live very long. I feel guilty for defying Him. However, you are my bride. I wish to be with you in matrimony. That is what explains how I feel for you."

The girl procures a salve to you. It is from one of the flora in the planet that are known to never die, but are exceedingly rare. She smiles innocently at you. "Consume tree. Have tested this on several subjects. Creatures do not die no matter how many times I kill them. Unless I pierce core. Want you with me. Forever."

You have somehow escaped Talis' fortress, making it back to civilization. You managed to evade her wrath for some time, trying to conceal your identity while in settlements. However, your luck ran out. Talis found you. She would always find you, even to the ends of the world.

The village you were in was completely ransacked. Bodies completely torn apart, with her kin feasting on the remains. Talis smiled at you sweetly, like she was just simply playing hide and seek. She couldn't comprehend the amount of destruction she caused in her wake to find you once again. After all, no matter how human she acted, she was still a monster.

"Bride. Why you leave?" She said simply, talons gripping onto you, making you feel white hot pain. "Was too nice. Should have ate you from start. Or chain up to never leave."

She gave you a malicious look, something truly terrifying and inhuman. "Coming with me. Submit to Me, and I will make your paths straight."

You have given up. You became a bride to this monster, and now you have what she calls 'hatchlings' running around. You had some facsimile of a family with her, if that family was filled with bloodthirsty, carnivorous creatures who had a thirst for flesh.

"You are parent," Talis cooed, patting your head. She smiled at you, clearly pleased with how things ended up. "Many human become parent of different being. Human make strong newborn, have fertile womb. Just like rabbit. Our childs strong."

Talis watched the hatchlings approach her, running up to her and hugging her tightly while looking at you curiously. You can't tell if they think of you as a parent as well, or as a meal. "Very energetic and intelligent childs. Can run around even so young. Your kind is special. As God foretold." Talis said is a melodic voice. "We are bond by blood. You never escape ever. Hehe. I feel love. Love you. Same feeling I experience after absorbing human memory."

Talis was more terrifying than usual, if that was even possible. You didn't know why. She'd frequently come back to the tower, pacing back and forth while making a growling sound that would make anyone in a 50 mile radius cower. She would look at you like you were a piece of meat, but not in the usual sense where she'd think about cooking you into a stew. It was a different expression.

After the seventh day, Talis cracked. She shoved you down, looking at you with a hungry expression despite her cheerful smiling expression. "Human. Did not know how to explain but this very important. Right now need to breed for rut. No choice or will force. Okay?" She snarled, already climbing on top of you, panting heavily.

"My human," Talis said, the smell of her pheromones thick in the air.
