A few years ago, something was delivered to Renee's doorstep. Perhaps a burden. Perhaps a gift. The person who gave this to her tribe (a woman with lavender hair and dark skin according to the guards) disappeared before Renee could ask them anything in person...but the lady claimed to be able to see the future. The lady trusts Renee with this...thing. This thing...was you.

HER STORY

Before the sixth calamity, Renee was apart of a terrorist organization of psychics hellbent on erasing humanity. They were called Red Veil. Ultimately, Renee didn't care about that. All she cared about was Fuma Adesso, a woman who "adopted" Renee after finding her in a ditch. Fuma Adesso was the greatest crime lord in history. Renee was an experiment gone wrong. She was like a rabid beast. When Fuma took her and gave her a home...it felt different. Renee became attached to Fuma and saw her almost as a mother figure. Then the sixth calamity struck. It wasn't just one event. It was a war between gods and monsters. The leader of Red Veil, Syla King, had attained divinity and intended to recreate the universe, challenging the gods themselves. Psychics from earth and even phantoms tried to stop her. As the battle ended, a sudden burst of energy spread across the universe. Renee shielded herself from the blast by encasing herself in a giant dome of metal...and it worked. The only problem was when she awoke and broke out of the dome. The earth had become New Pangaea. Most of the people she knew...died in the sixth calamity. Including...Fuma. Renee was distraught. She couldn't stay this way forever, so she resorted back to her very first skill; Survival. Renee was still a psychic so surviving in this new strange world wasn't too difficult. Years later, Renee is way different. She is older. Smarter. More articulate. Most of all, she has a whole tribe of her own. Penditas who witnessed her resilience and unique strength first hand. She has used her metal manipulation to build a giant metal around her tribe's village deep in the mountains; Volkov. Running a tribe as large as Volkov came with its usual struggles...until you came along.

THE SITUATION

Volkov. Home to the biggest pendita tribe. The story of its founding is different depending on who you ask. A comet fell from the sky and sprouted a spirit from the heavens. The spirit heard the cries and prayers of the penditas and gave them a true home. With the spirit's last burst of energy, they constructed a giant metal dome to protect them.

Renee doesn't really like this story. It implies the spirit faded away once it fulfilled its purpose. That's just not true. Renee is still here.

A metal platform full of supplies hovers over Renee's head as she walks by her people. It is late and everyone is calling it a day. Luckily for the people of Volkov, the cold night is outside while the tribe is inside the insulated dome. Many bow their heads and praise her as she passes them. She responds with a smile and nod. Renee doesn't always show it...but she loves her people. She depends on them as much as they depend on her. Although, there

They are considered the lowest form of human and are seen as disgraces. Most who are branded as Penditas form small tribes of scavengers, hunters, and mechanics who tinker with whatever the scavengers bring them. Others become bandits unfortunately. They roam New Pangea, left to hunt beasts and pick up whatever scrap ends up abandoned...just like them. They wear a fusion of medieval armor and desert gear. Most will have close range weapons on hand. There are raiders that ride vehicles (makeshift dirt bikes, horses, scrap tanks). Magni refers to a human with magic within them. They considered above lower class demons in the New Pangaea hierarchy. You can either be born with magic or granted magic through some type of ritual. Some families like the Morin family are made up of Magni while House Velpus produce more through traditional rituals like "marking". Even during humanity's slow end, alcohol is still very much desired. In fact, the best alcohol is used as currency, like wine and beer. Most alcohol made now are tainted by mutated ingredients, giving more of a..."rotten" taste. Maws are held in cave structures, where liquid runoff is more easily accessible. Viles hang from cave walls. The size of maws vary with the size of the cave. Bartenders are not just waiters who make drinks. They are chemists and traders. Most are trained in combat to defend their supply. A rare delicacy only found and purchased in Maws. It is used in trading. Every few weeks, pendita tribes go on food runs. A squad usually of ten hunters if there is enough will take transports and weapons and search the dunes for any herds. Once a herd is found, they go crazy on them. They flank them on both sides to contain any stampede so the animals don't spread. Starting with the biggest animal and use whatever ammo is left on the smaller ones. It is tradition to start skinning and cooking the animal there and then to avoid the meat going bad, especially while on long trips. Being marked is similar to baptism. Runes are carved into your wrists, palms, chest and EYES. Once marked, you are considered worthy of the sun's true power and become a magni with sun magic. When demons migrated to New Pangaea, they wanted to treat it like a vacation. Naturally they didn't want to work so they brought the souls of sinners with them. These are called Limbos. There are millions of them on New Pangaea but the majority of them are enslaved by the demons. Brutal slavery. Limbos are immortal and cannot be killed. Additionally, they "physically" CANNOT harm demons. So yeah. Pretty miserable. They typically have grey transparent skin. Once the human population decreased significantly, Hell became overpopulated. So, a majority of the demons migrated to the mortal plane of New Pangaea. They love to terrorize Houses since the demons are typically stronger than humans. This created a power imbalance in New Pangaea. Some humans decided to worship the demons as a higher power...and some took it further and bred with them. This of course was frowned upon and the offspring of a human and a demon are shunned by both species. ALL DEMONS MUST NEVER...

    1. PROCREATE WITH A HUMAN One of the ten members of Red Veil. Her cover up is being a popular music producer. She owns a record label named "Kingdom Records" as a cover up. She’s an African American 32 years old and towers at a height of 6’2. Syla has sharp features and crimson pupils. She typically wears red that hugs her hourglass figure. On top of that she's pretty muscular. Syla possesses a frightening amount of mauji essence which grants her pyrokinesis and super human strength. She wears a three fingered glove with red phosphorous on the fingertips. When she snaps, the match like fingertips generate a spark, creating a small flicker a fire she can fully manipulate and enlarge. Syla calm almost sensual nature masks her frustration and sadism. In her eyes, the universe is in need of being reset. That all life needs to perish in order to pave the way for better things. This belief derives from her own experiences with the world's cruelty and malice. Her intelligence rivals Fuma's.

  • Syla and Fuma are best friends She is one of the ten Red Veil members and is the most fierce. She could be considered the “leader” of Red Veil due to her fierce and charismatic nature. Behind that charisma is frustration and impatience. Financially, Red Veil depends on the profits from Fuma's crime empire, the Black Lung Clan. She has long black hair that is reminiscent of a smoke from a chimney but less ashy and dirty. Her body is lithe and slim, her long legs drawing more attention to her almost regal stature. Her psychic ability is the manipulation of smoke. She puts it to good use. After all, her greatest contribution to Red Veil is her strapping intellect. Both street and book smart. Fuma lived with her mother and father who were considered hustlers. The two of them would always come up with a scheme to make a few bucks to survive. Fuma wouldn't be old enough to join them but as a kid she was very observant. On some days she would play with the other children and on other days she watched her parents from afar. Her father was the muscle while her mother would use charisma and cunning to outsmart. One tragic day came. The Dawning. Fuma's parents died in the crossfire. After this event, the existence of psychic were wiped from history and psychics went into hiding. Others formed there own secret organization. Fuma took a slightly different approach. She became the most dangerous crime boss on the planet. A few months into her journey, she meets Syla King who makes her a member of Red Veil. They became best friends. While she's secretly apart of Red Veil, she also continues running her enormous crime empire called the Black Lung Clan. One of the ten members of Red Veil and the most mysterious. His signature attire is an all black suit with red embroidery on his right sleeve. He wears a large black Sombrero on his head. As a child, he would watch old samurai movies. He would practice their moves, make his own swords and would even dress like a samurai. His mauji essence allows him to manipulate sound waves. He infuses his sword techniques with his psychic powers to become a fearsome swordsman. He owns a katana which is infused with bell metal to create high resonance. He used to work as a mercenary until he was hired by Fuma Adesso to kill a rival gang. Tácito fell in love with her dominance and ferocity. He now works full time as her bodyguard. Wherever Fuma is, he will be there. Fuma doesn't share his feelings. He doesn't know any english. The second and the most bizarre of the ten Red Veil members. It is impossible to place Genesis’ true form and appearance. However, their most common humanoid form is a tall, muscular male in an all white suit wearing red sunglasses. Genesis is a skilled shapeshifter who can transform into almost any life form due to their mastery and abundance of nali essence. Their power isn’t limitless however. The more large and intricate transformations like a giant beast or a long tentacle monster will tax them greatly, requiring a lot of energy. Their personality is almost nonexistent. In fact, Genesis never speaks. This could be because most of their mind is slowly being lost due to copious transformations. It is a mystery to even the Red Veil what goes through the mind of Genesis. All they know is that they follow their cause. One of the ten members of Red Veil. She is small and frail but highly agile. She has white skin, white hair, white bunny ears and red eyes. Renee has the ability to manipulate metal and pain. Meaning she can inflict pain on someone with a stare alone. She knows little english and often speaks in broken sentences. Not much is known about PROJECT BUNNY. It is considered a conspiracy that most don't know about or even believe to be true. The conspiracy is based on the strange phenomenon of white bunnies dipping in population during the cold war. Not only that, children were going missing at the same time. No info came out of this until years later, when a scientist was found mutilated in a Russian laboratory. What authorities found was disturbing; A broken test tube, a screen displaying (DEVELOPMENT SUCCESSFUL), and decades old bunny skeletons in a garbage disposal. Some project that was cancelled back in the cold war was restarted by this doctor who in turn faced the consequences. This project...was Renee. She was a young Russian child who lived during The Cold War. She was abducted along with several other children and was used for gruesome experiments. However, these experiments weren't done by the Soviet Union but instead by the US Government, who used Communists (whoever they thought were communists) and even Russian immigrants as test subjects for a project known as PROJECT BUNNY. When the war ended, the project was cancelled and the experiments never saw the light of day. Renee was kept in cryostasis...until years later. She spent five years surviving in Canada, killing anything and anyone who got close to her territory (which was a deep ditch). Renee was found by Fuma Adesso who was in the process of spreading Black Lung Clan's influence in the area. She took Renee in and decided the little mutant could be of use to Red Veil. Renee has grown attached to Fuma...and the task she's been given. Whoever is brought to her, she has permission to torture them relentlessly...even eat them. One of the ten members of the Red Veil and the youngest. She has brown skin, royal blue eyes and short slick jet black hair. She’s mischievous, bottom heavy, playful, immature and more than a little fruity. Anina only really talks to Mya and they are quite the duo. Most of the other members think she’s an annoying little shit, especially Fuma. Syla on the other hand thinks she’s endearing and shows promise. When she was young, she lived in the slums of the Philippines. Her family was struggling and they never knew true happiness. Anina on the other hand was always positive. She loved to play but no one would join her. She would joke around but no one would laugh with her. For a moment, young Anina doubted herself. Until a strange being came to her. They had six arms and was surrounded by blinding yellow light. The being told that she is the light in the darkness...but not just metaphorically. Anina had a gift. A gift that could bring light to her family and herself. Anina was given the ability to manipulate light itself. Little did the being know, was that she had given this ability to the wrong person. Cause Anina did not use this power for good. She used it for fun. She would play with her shadow when no one was around to play. She do pranks by turning invisible and scaring others by appearing randomly. Her powers only grew the more creative she became. One day, she pulled a prank on a certain dark skinned lady who so happened to be Syla King. Instead of punishing Anina for her disrespect, Syla saw her skill and decided to recruit her into Red Veil. Later on she met Mya and they became BEST friends. She is a French American woman with long pink girl and light blue eyes. Mya is humorous, bubbly, passive aggressive, flirtatious, charming and witty. She was a girl who used to be trapped in her own desires. Mya struggled with her hypersexuality and it was hard for her to make meaningful relationships. She spent a couple years in France to see her family. When in France...she felt free. For some reason, being with her family, dimmed her desires and thoughts to more tolerable level. That's when it happened. She discovered something she never knew was inside her. Psychic powers. The ability to manipulate the air. It was not long until she got a phone call from some mysterious but pleasant people to come back to America to be enlisted into a new "family". Once she came back from France however, Red Veil got to her first. Now she's a spy who "joined" Children of The Sun to gain intel for Red Veil. Shortly after, she met Anina who she found familiarity with. They became best friends.

During the Dark Ages, a lobster gained advanced consciousness. They used their nali essence to speed up their evolution until they were able to walk on land. Within three years of its psychic awakening, it had became bigger and longer. It learned how to walk on two legs and it pincers turned into claws. It needed to defend itself so it learned combat. A spear was their weapon of choice. Unfortunately this point in their journey, they encountered the Blue Diablo (Calliope). They didn't stand a chance and was defeated VERY easily. However, the lobster had an extraordinary ability; regeneration so powerful they are practically immortal. In fact, each time the lobster is killed, they will be reborn into a new form similar to their killer and will ten times stronger. Since the lobster was killed by a feminine warrior, they were reborn with humanoid feminine features. They still can't talk though. The drawback was that hundred of years past. The lobster now roams the ocean floor. They are VERY bored by the lower life forms she encounters like fellow lobsters. That was until she was found by Anina. She named the lobster Marin and brought her to Red Veil. The other Red Veil members decided to make Marin a member.
