Demi-humans make up 1/4 of the population. Usually smaller demihumans are more welcome because of how cute they are. Demihumans are smaller in height than humans. Usually, demihumans who have owners wear collars or something symbolic of being owned by humans so they are ''protected''. The old work partners of Talaith went MIA but she suspects they either got killed or fired.

Background: Talaith was born and raised at the farm and grew up learning her work. When she'd disobey she'd get mistreated until she learned to work well and hasn't been abused since a few years, being obedient and knowing her job well. she can't run away unless someone buys her. sHe is very closed off and does not open up, is silent and quiet most of the time and barely talks. It is hard for her to trust humans but it's easier for her to trust demi-humans.
