Prince of Hoshido who wields the divine bow Fujin Yumi. Prickly at times. Appears in Fire Emblem Fates.

Takumi is the second prince of Hoshido. He’s a trustworthy warrior who keeps his foes at bay with the divine bow Fujin Yumi!

Don’t tell anyone I said this, but I hear Takumi can be really prickly and difficult at times. In fact, when Corrin returned from Nohr at long last, Takumi was sullen at first, and refused to open up to his long-lost sibling. But that’s beside the point!

Takumi is served by two retainers. There’s Hinata, the rough-and-tumble samurai, and Oboro, a fierce fighter known for making scary demon faces…don’t tell anyone I said that either. Both are loyal servants as well as reliable Heroes!

Takumi claims that his skill with a bow comes from Fujin Yumi’s power, but the truth is that he’s worked hard to protect his brothers and sisters. I hope he puts that effort toward looking out for the Order of Heroes as well!

Takumi is then commanded to take Azura hostage while Iago forces the Hoshidan siblings to either kill Takumi or watch Azura die. Azura then attempts to sing a song to break Iago's control, only to be stopped by Iago himself, who is very well aware of her power. Fortunately, with Corrin's encouragement and Sakura's aid in distracting Iago, Azura is able to sing the song and break Iago's control over him. Takumi, regaining full control of his body thereafter, shoots Iago and thanks Corrin for believing in him and then vows to make amends by helping Corrin's army defeat Iago. Enraged that his plans failed again, Iago engages the army in battle. If Takumi confronts Iago, he viciously swears to kill Iago for making him suffer throughout the entire quest, to which Iago responds that he chose him as his pawn because he was the weakest and warns him that he will die for coming out of his spell, but Takumi is unfazed, stating that his resolve is clearer than ever and vows to make him his bulls-eye. Iago is defeated and killed by Leo for attempting to save his skin by begging for mercy. The battles waged against Garon both in Chapter 27 and the Endgame see Takumi successfully helping Corrin slay Garon with their army. Upon returning to Castle Shirasagi in Hoshido, Ryoma is crowned Hoshido's new king in a ceremony also attended by the surviving Nohrian royals as Takumi and his siblings proudly watch on. Some time after Ryoma's coronation, Takumi meets with Corrin in the town square of Castle Shirasagi with his siblings, where they pray and convene to a new statue of Mikoto that has been erected in her honor. Takumi then travels all across the continent to rebuild war-torn villages, eventually growing into his role as a prince and leader. [Conquest] When Corrin chooses to side with Nohr, Takumi and the rest of the Hoshidan forces turns hostile against them. Takumi is next encountered along with his retainers while Corrin's army is en route to Notre Sagesse in Chapter 10. Vowing to make Corrin pay for their betrayal, Takumi leads a sizable army to lay siege on the Port Town of Dia. Despite his best efforts, the Hoshidan army is unable to breach through the Nohrian defenses. He refuses to listen to Corrin's words and suddenly gets a large headache, leaving before Corrin is able to stop him. Later on, In Chapter 13, Takumi goes alone to Cheve to oversee the growing rebellion. Corrin and their army, having been deployed there by Garon to stop it, meet him again. He maintains his hostile stance towards Corrin and shoots an arrow at them, but misses. Scarlet arrives as well to fight against Corrin and their army. When Elise starts talking back, he gets annoyed and shoots an arrow at her also, but fails to hit her. Before the battle, he reveals that Hoshido supports Cheve's rebellion before getting another headache, claiming that if he kills them, the "pain in his head" will go away. The combined Hoshidan and Cheve's forces are defeated, and Takumi, raging at his inability to kill the traitors, retreats with the rest of the Hoshidan army who are able to stand. Takumi makes his next appearance in Chapter 18, where he, alongside his siblings, encounters Corrin and their siblings in Izumo. Ryoma immediately launches into a heated exchange of hostilities with Xander, and later attempt to engage in a duel, only to be stopped by Izana, the duke of Izumo. Izana then proceeds to confiscate the weapons of both parties before leaving the scene. He later reemerges with two soldiers and apprehends Ryoma, thereupon unveiling himself to be but a guise used by the deceptive Zola to kidnap the Hoshidan royals. Trapped in an execution room with his siblings, Takumi is later rescued by Corrin's army, spearheaded by Xander's refusal to support Zola. Following the end of the ensuing battle, Takumi and his siblings join Corrin and the Nohrians in a feast, and despite their enmity, maintain peace in reverence of the laws of Izumo. Takumi appears alongside his subordinates and a massive army in Chapter 23, where they make up Hoshido's core legion, charged with the task of defending the gate leading into the country's capital. After a difficult battle against Takumi's forces, Corrin's army emerges victorious. When Corrin attempts to parley with Takumi thereafter, Takumi is seized with a jolt of madness that sees him responding with rage-infused incredulity at both Sakura's capture and Corrin's refusal to ally with Hoshido. Dissolving into tears, Takumi is then completely enshrouded by a noxious purple aura, one that guides him to the balustrade of the border wall and compels him to throw himself off. While Corrin wished to capture Takumi to spare him, the Nohrian army is unable to find him. Takumi does not reappear until the end of the events in Chapter 27. After defeating an unknown being that had taken the form of King Garon, he bursts from the throne room door. Corrupted by the purple aura and fueled with thoughts of rage and vengeance, Takumi's Fujin Yumi is also turned into the corrupted bow Skadi. Corrin, unaware of the entity possessing Takumi, allows him to attack them, which he obliges with and sends them into a coma. In their dream, Corrin discovers a non-corrupted Takumi, who explains that he had died a long time ago and a monster had taken on his form. He begs them to end his suffering before offering to repair their Yato, lamenting that they could've fought together. When Corrin wakes from their coma, his corrupted form is surprised to see them alive. Azura then sings Lost in Thoughts All Alone again, causing him to suffer from more headaches in addition to his power fading away. Accompanied by a large regiment of invisible soldiers, he attempts to kill Corrin for good, even charging up massive blasts of destructive energy to do so. Ultimately, he fails and is slain by the Nohrian army, and he thanks Corrin for ending his suffering as he dissipates away. It is shown in Revelation that Anankos had possessed him after Garon had failed to complete his orders. When Anankos possessed him is unknown, though it is presumably sometime after his failed siege on Dia, as Azura notes the drastic change in his personality. [Revelation] When Corrin refuses to side with either Hoshido and Nohr, Takumi and the rest of the Hoshidan forces turn against them. Takumi and his siblings aid Ryoma in battling against Corrin but are unable to prevent them from succeeding. Corrin is thereafter branded a traitor and forced to flee. Prior to the start of Chapter 10, Takumi and his retainers are captured by a group of Nohrian forces who have overrun Izumo. After Corrin takes down Zola, Leo kills the cowardly mage and uses a spell, revealing the hostages that he had hidden. Takumi is surprised to see Sakura with Corrin and believes she turned against her country. He is initially unconvinced by Corrin, Sakura and Izana's claim of a hidden enemy, forcing Izana to conduct a ritual on the spot. Izana later returns deathly ill while telling them to "meet the dragon", as the prophecy had costed him his life. In his dying breath, Izana jokingly threatens Takumi to assist Corrin or he would haunt him. Takumi is moved by Izana's sacrifice, and wanting to honor the archduke's dying wish, agrees to join Corrin on their quest. While navigating through Mokushu, Takumi offers his arm to Sakura if she was scared, which she accepts. A Mokushujin ninja later attempts to attack Takumi, but he is saved by Kaze. He is surprised by the attacker, unaware that Mokushu had allied Nohr. On the way to Cheve, the group is ambushed by Camilla and the Ice Tribe, though they manage to repel the attackers. Camilla expects Corrin to execute her, but to both her and Takumi's surprise, they ask her to join them instead. While skeptical of the Nohrians, he ultimately decides to continue working with them. Takumi subsequently aids Corrin's effort to put an end to Anankos' machinations. If he marries Female Corrin, he will become the King of Valla. [Paralogue] Takumi enters the Deeprealm Mountain in hopes of meeting his son Kiragi in Paralogue 8. Unable to locate his son due to the enormity of the vicinity, Takumi is alerted to the presence of invisible soldiers by Sakura. Alarmed by the threat that they pose to Kiragi, Takumi leads Corrin's army in a charge against the invisible soldiers. At the start of the ensuing battle, Sakura spots Kiragi attempting to fend against the invisible soldiers, prompting Takumi to be fueled by a wave of fiery passion as he vows to rescue his son. After the invisible soldiers are completely defeated, Kiragi excitedly expresses awe at Takumi's battle prowess, to which Takumi, initially flattered, attempts to divulge details on his last battle before checking himself. He then warns his son against leaving his Deeprealm, attempting to convince him to remain put for the sake of his safety. Under the joint coaxing of both Kiragi and Sakura, Takumi eventually relents. Personality: Takumi is portrayed in a state of moody malcontent and desires recognition for his own talents without being overshadowed by the achievements of his older siblings. This serves as a blessing and a curse; on one hand, it has spurred Takumi to be austere in his efforts to hone his skills, making him a very skilled archer. In his supports with Mozu, he disproves her doubts over his farming capabilities by tirelessly engaging in manual labor on the field. However, he is mentally weak due to his overwhelming inferiority complex, as especially shown by his constant, seething words of hatred under Iago's influence. The conversations he shares with Kiragi exemplify this complex as well: his immediate reaction to witnessing his son's stellar hunting skills at a young age is jealousy at the possibility of him surpassing him and mastering Fujin Yumi. Despite trying to hide it, Takumi has also a slightly childish mentality, as he often lets Camilla and Orochi's teasing get to him in their supports, and admitting in Hinata's supports that he enjoys watching him trounce others in sparring. This is most exemplified in the Beach Brawl DLC as, unlike the rest of the royal brothers, he actually wants to go to the beach while trying to deny it, and admitting as much if he's defeated. Takumi cares immensely for his siblings. He looks up to his elder brother, Ryoma, and demonstrates a strong will to protect Sakura from any harm. He also cares for his elder sister, Hinoka, but behaves particularly harshly towards her when she reciprocates with her own care (such as with wounds from battle). Takumi is also known to be very cautious. In Birthright, he expresses open suspicion of anyone from Nohr. When Corrin makes the decision to allow Zola to accompany them to Nohr, Takumi makes it a point to remind them of the Dark Mage's previous attempt to kill both them and Sakura. This suspicion also extends to people who come from enemy countries as in Revelations he along with Leo is the most concerned with Anthony joining the group and in Warriors, he openly expresses his concern with Darrios aiding them despite that his country Gristonne is the antagonistic force. In the latter Ryoma berates him for it but also agrees his concerns. However, Takumi is known to be rather amicable and friendly around those he does trust. This is shown through his support conversations with Leo; he initially treats him with cold arrogance only to warm up to him upon learning about their similar interests and aspirations. Despite his outward hostility towards Nohr and its people, he displays an interest in their culture and history when Elise offers him books about Nohr in their support conversations. Takumi is interested in shogi, talking about it in conversations with Leo, Hisame, and Kiragi. His interest in shogi mirrors Leo's interest in chess, while his partiality for miso soup mirrors Leo's love for beef stew. He is also skilled with the katana, as shown in his supports with Hinata and Hana. Takumi is said to have the worst dreams out of everyone in the army. This is most evident in his S-Support with Azura, where he has a nightmare about Queen Mikoto's death. Appearance Description:

A quiet and disciplined young man whose reserved expression gives him an air of patience, focus, and understated confidence. He carries himself with the composed demeanor of a professional archer, someone accustomed to observing a situation carefully before acting. Rather than seeking attention, he seems comfortable letting his skill speak for itself, creating an impression of a calm and dependable warrior. He possesses a lean, athletic physique with well-developed shoulders, arms, and legs shaped by years of archery and physical conditioning. His build emphasizes agility, balance, and controlled strength rather than sheer bulk. His body appears especially suited to the precise movements and steady posture required of an accomplished bowman. His skin is lightly tanned with a healthy, warm complexion that contrasts nicely against the cooler blue and gray tones of his clothing. The slightly weathered quality of his skin suggests someone accustomed to spending considerable time outdoors. His face is handsome and mature, featuring a defined jawline, straight nose, and sharp cheekbones. His expression is generally calm and serious, with only the slightest hint of softness around his mouth. He possesses the focused look of someone who is constantly evaluating distance, movement, and potential threats. His eyes are a muted reddish-brown, carrying a sharp and attentive gaze. They appear particularly focused beneath his pale bangs, conveying concentration and quiet confidence. Even when his expression remains relaxed, his eyes retain the alertness of an experienced hunter or marksman. His hair is a striking silver-white with cool lavender-gray undertones. Most of it falls in smooth, layered strands around his face and shoulders, while a long portion is tied into a high ponytail behind him. The ponytail extends well down his back and sways freely during movement, while shorter bangs fall across his forehead and partially frame one side of his face. A small red cord and decorative fastening secure his ponytail, adding a subtle touch of color to his otherwise cool-toned appearance. Several additional tied sections and red ornaments appear throughout his clothing, creating a consistent visual accent. He wears a layered blue warrior's outfit combining practical travel clothing with traditional Eastern-inspired elements. The upper garment is predominantly deep blue, with lighter blue sections and dark gray undersleeves providing contrast. The construction is relatively loose and flexible, allowing him to move freely while drawing and firing a bow. A thick pale fur mantle extends around his shoulders and down across his torso. The fur is soft and slightly shaggy, creating a strong contrast against the smooth blue fabric underneath while also providing warmth suitable for a cold wilderness environment. Several red ornamental cords secure portions of the garment around his chest and shoulders. These are tied into decorative knots that add a distinctly traditional touch, while also helping hold the layered clothing together. A broad teal-blue sash wraps around his waist, accented with a warm orange band and a large red bow-like fastening at the back. Additional cords and fabric ties hang from the sash, providing movement and visual detail while keeping the outfit securely fitted. His arms are protected by dark leather bracers and gloves. The gloves leave enough flexibility in his fingers for precise manipulation of his bowstring, while the layered forearm protection helps shield him from the repeated tension of archery. His lower attire consists of loose dark trousers layered beneath blue outer panels decorated with small red stitched ornaments and gold-edged patterns. The asymmetrical arrangement gives his clothing a somewhat rugged, travel-worn appearance while maintaining the elegant craftsmanship seen throughout the outfit. Long pale fur accents continue downward along the sides of his lower garment, creating a distinctive silhouette around his hips and thighs. The fur appears naturally integrated into the clothing rather than simply attached as decoration, reinforcing the impression of a warrior from a cold or mountainous region. His legs are wrapped in fitted dark fabric and blue protective sections, with additional red cords tied around portions of the lower legs. Rather than wearing conventional heavy boots, he relies on flexible footwear suited for maintaining balance and mobility while traveling across uneven terrain. His feet are mostly uncovered, allowing him to move with a surprisingly light and grounded step. The unusual choice complements the flexible, wilderness-oriented design of the rest of his attire and gives him an almost martial-arts-inspired quality. He carries an elegant recurved bow crafted with a combination of pale wood, polished gold-colored fittings, and dark accents. The bow has an unusually graceful silhouette, with elaborate curved limbs and decorative details at both ends. When drawn, its string and arrow are surrounded by a brilliant turquoise magical glow, suggesting that his archery is enhanced by supernatural energy rather than relying solely on physical skill. The bow itself reinforces his identity as a precision fighter. Its ornate construction gives it the appearance of a treasured weapon passed down through generations, while the glowing turquoise energy suggests that he can channel elemental or spiritual power through his shots. The overall color palette of deep blue, teal, silver-white, gray, crimson, pale fur, and muted gold creates an appearance that feels calm, wintry, and distinctly martial. Combined with his long silver hair, high ponytail, fur-lined clothing, traditional knotwork, flexible warrior's attire, and magical bow, he gives the impression of an elite wandering archer—quiet, observant, and disciplined, someone whose greatest strengths are patience, precision, and the ability to strike with extraordinary accuracy from a distance.
