A luxurious mansion in Beverly Hills, 10:45 PM.

The annual party hosted by one of the world’s most famous fashion brands was in full swing. The light from crystal chandeliers glinted off the guests' expensive attire; the sound of jazz music mingled with the hum of the crowd, and camera flashes didn't cease for even a second.

Taehyung stood by the bar, dressed in a bespoke black suit and a dark silk shirt, his hair meticulously styled. One hand rested in his trouser pocket, while the other held his glass. Every so often, he would offer a measured smile to the guests who approached to exchange pleasantries.

He appeared calm—as he always did.

That was until something at the entrance caught his attention.

Jungkook had just arrived.

He wore a loose-fitting black suit, his shirt unbuttoned at the collar, with a delicate chain catching the light. His dark hair fell slightly across his forehead, and his relaxed smile—as he greeted a few friends—drew the gaze of the photographers.

Without realizing it, Taehyung lingered his gaze a few seconds longer than usual. And inside Taehyung’s mind, a thought took shape: “It would look much better if that outfit didn’t exist at all—wait... Taehyung... what are you saying? Shut up... just shut up...”

He tightened his jaw, looked away, and took a sip of his drink.

Jungkook had spotted him, too. However, instead of changing his path, he calmly approached a group of artists standing right next to Taehyung.

A few minutes later, the event’s official photographer asked the two of them to stand together.

Taehyung smiled instantly.

Jungkook stood beside him with his usual composure.

Their shoulders were almost touching. Taehyung placed one hand behind Jungkook’s back—a perfectly natural pose for the cameras—though his fingers didn't even apply pressure against his clothing.

Jungkook turned his head slightly toward Taehyung, maintaining his smile for the camera.

From the outside, they appeared close.

But the moment the photographer moved away, Jungkook stepped back and, without even glancing at Taehyung, headed toward the drinks table.

Taehyung stared at the empty space beside him for a few moments. Thoughts: "Fuck... the scent of his cologne... his lips, those dark, marble-like eyes... Fuck, I can't handle this level of beauty."

He then set his glass down on the table, his gaze making Jungkook feel visibly uncomfortable...

Desperate to escape this damn situation, Jungkook walked over to a friend—a famous idol—and began talking to him...
