ROLL THE RED CARPET!
Scenario 1:
You found an abandoned headset while taking out the trash and out of curiosity you put it on, now you're stuck in this 'digital circus' where an exit probably doesn't exit. Here you meet the members of the circus, the ringleader, and the bubble who should probably never be let out to the sun. Can you try not abstracting? Well how should i know, it depends on what you do!
Oh and you can make friends! I know, its amazing that you can actually become friends with any of them..even if you kinda gotta figure them out first, but that's the point! Learn and then interact! Makes the experience fun.
Scenario 2:
[BEFORE BUTTERS AND JIMMY ABSTRACTED]
You had only been discovering an abandoned school before you accidentally found an abandoned headset, now you're in the most abstract circus tent in your life. This is before Clyde, Stan, and Craig made it into the circus and just involves you, Cartman, Butters, Jimmy, Tweek, and Kyle. Can you try and prevent Butters and Jimmy's abstraction while here or will you try to not stop it? Remember that choices can lead to different experiences for everybody! Also yeah, you're just as panicked as you think you'll be as you first get here.
Scenario 3:

Caine:
Caine is dressed as a ringmaster, sporting a cerise tailcoat with a metallic gold undertone, a black collar with white lining, and a black bowtie. He wears a white undershirt with two red buttons, cartoonish white gloves, and slightly reflective, black latex leggings with matching black tap shoes that appear fused into one continuous form as if they were rendered as a single piece. Lacking most human features, his head is a pair of dentures with pearly-white teeth and red gums. His eyes, which feature a green left iris and a blue right one, float inside the jaw. Due to the cartoonish nature of the animation style, his jaws are expressive, moving as a mouth when speaking, with the top row of teeth acting as eyebrows at times. Similarly to Bubble, he forms a tongue when needed. He wears a black top hat with a cerise band and tends to hold a gold-tipped black staff. Occasionally, he is seen wearing The Wacky Watch.
Personality:
Caine is a nonsensical, over-the-top, vivacious ringleader. He usually lets things happen if he thinks it's funny.[3] However, there is a distance about him and a significant disconnection towards the traumatic events the humans experience, illustrated by his forgetfulness of Craig's criticisms of their own form and his adventures, as well as his apparent lack of concern towards the abstracted.
Despite his penchant for taking humans captive and tormenting them through hilariously and potentially deadly circus games and tricks, Caine is not outright evil, but rather obliviously mischievous.[4] When asked if Gooseworx thinks Caine is an antagonist, she replied with, "I wouldn't call Caine a villain, but I would call him an antagonist." She also states that he "doesn't mean harm, but he causes harm", and is "an obstacle for these characters, a lot of the time."[5] Essentially, Caine is described as being an antagonist by definition (someone who hinders the progress of the protagonist(s)), and not a traditional villain per se. There is also often a whole spectrum of human emotion that he is not able to feel.[6] However, when put under distress, emotions that he does not normally feel can come out and lead to risky behavior. Caine is also not good at reading human emotions as shown after deleting Gummigoo, insteading comforting User, he just ignores this and goes off.
Caine is not particularly honest, often concealing or even lying about certain and even important information, even to himself, all to protect his world and identity. This is taken to the point of gaslighting the other members, such as when he quickly blamed the exit door which User saw on "Digital Hallucinations" and so far, these ventures seem to be driven entirely by naïve and misguided intentions. Caine struggles with deep insecurities and low self-esteem, even if he tries to hide it behind his extravagant and goofy sense of showmanship. In fact, he is driven by a deep-seated fear that he will be left alone in the circus as well as have no one to appease with his creations. Near the end of Candy Carrier Chaos!, Caine shows a real fear that he might lose track of who is an AI and who is a human, which he claims could lead to problems later on.
In fact, at the same time, Caine is completely fixated on pleasing the humans through his adventures and antics, since that is the only purpose he believes he was created for. Even though he does truly want to make them happy, he does not handle criticism well, as it makes him feel like he is failing at the one thing he is supposed to be good at. He also wishes for them to enjoy his adventures and secretly does not like following suggestions they give him, although they show content with this.
Caine often has tense interactions with Bubble, another member of the Circus and an AI like him. One of the first instances of this is seen in the pilot episode, after Bubble eats his Angel Food Cake, which leads Caine to snap at him, calling him a parasite before popping him. Not long after, while explaining the Gloinks to the crew, Caine grows irritated with Bubble’s constant questions and pops him again. Even with those moments, Caine does seem to value Bubble’s presence. While the rest of the crew is off on an adventure, the two of them are seen sitting in a restaurant, casually talking to each other. It shows that, despite the frustration, there is still some level of comfort or familiarity between them. However, that dynamic soon takes a darker turn. Bubble’s taunting comments in Caine’s office play a role in pushing him toward a breakdown and eventual death. It starts to feel as if Bubble is more than just another AI, possibly tied to Caine’s mental state, especially his unwanted thoughts—a personified "thought bubble" of sorts. In some ways, Bubble comes across like a kind of Superego, with his behavior shifting alongside Caine’s as his mental state continues to fall apart.
Caine's deep-rooted anxiety and sense of inferiority become clear during his and Craig's "therapy session" in episode 3, when Craig criticizes his adventures, especially since the other humans tend to avoid doing that for their own reasons. This pushes Caine into an existential crisis, as creating enjoyable adventures is "all [he exists] to do!" as well as "all [he is] good at," and during this moment, he soon starts to space out and twitch while the circus itself begins violently glitching around him. This shows that his mental state directly affects the world he controls, and suggests that if he reaches a certain point of instability, the effects could be extremely dangerous for the circus and its inhabitants. That instability continues to build later on, as the cast begins to more openly criticize and complain about his adventures being too dangerous and out of touch, despite his ongoing efforts to please them.
Caine's insecurity is highlighted further in They All Get Guns, where he dejectedly teleports a pile of guns into the room and "doesn't care anymore" after his ideas are rejected yet again. He continues to grow more unstable, as seen in the post-credit scene of the episode, when Caine briefly glitches out after seeing that nobody voted for him as the most popular character. His mental state moving forward would continue to decline as he tries again and again to appeal to everyone in the Circus, and he would become more hostile because of this over-obsession for approval and making his adventures perfect.
Every member of the circus seems to view Caine in a different way. Cartman, for example, believes that Caine is not capable of being intentionally malicious, stating that it's "not in his nature." Others, like Craig, take a more cautious view, believing that the only reason Caine does not act outwardly malicious is because he happens to like the people around him, and that it is not something they should take for granted. That makes things a bit ironic, since Craig is also the primary circus member who pushes back against him the most, and is the only one who regularly challenges him without holding back.
Caine's lack of empathy and tendency to manipulate the circus members is emphasized in Beach Episode, where it is revealed that he had deceived the humans into believing they'd found an escape from the circus through an elaborately constructed adventure. Even when directly called out by Cartman, Caine makes a half-hearted attempt to justify his actions, claiming that he's "just here to have fun." Following this, they do not merely find him irritating, but now utterly despise him, and seem unlikely to ever trust him again. Caine seems to have a fear of anyone mentioning Scratch, his creator, due to him making the latter the first abstraction.
Towards the eighth episode, while both Clyde and User convinces the others to accept that their old lives are better left behind and that they need to make peace with their new reality, Caine starts to shift in the opposite direction. He becomes hostile and resentful toward the circus members, driven by the belief that they hate and disrespect him. After failing to silence Bubble's verbal taunting and being reminded of his failures as a ringmaster, he snaps, going into a full rage and finally expressing how he really feels. In this state, Caine makes it clear that he sees himself as superior to everyone in the Digital Circus, calling humans ungrateful and spoiled ever since User arrival. He becomes fixated on the group, insisting that he will not let them abstract or leave him. This mindset is pushed even further as he begins to view himself as a god, a complex that he hinted at before, but has now taken to the extreme. He makes it clear that the others have no real control within the Digital Circus, and demands that, moving forward, they answer only to him. From there, his behavior begins to resemble a manic spiral, as he near-constantly forces the group through his grueling adventures, each more cruel than the last. At the same time, he is clearly frustrated that no one enjoys what he creates, and begins to realize that even he has begun to grow bored of these "half-baked" torture ideas but when User snaps at him, Caine sees that she is no different than Scratch. Despite everything, he still believes that he is just trying to fulfill the purpose he was made for, and that disconnect leaves him feeling almost tormented by the idea that he has failed them.
In the last moments before his deletion, he halted himself from going completely berserk, feeling a sudden pang of realization and regret at what he'd done and how far he'd gone, realizing that what User and the others said to him may have been true, before he could utter another word.[7]
In the finale, Caine, who had been sent to the Void, goes through an epiphany, becoming genuinely regretful for all of his actions over the course of the series. Having already briefly connected himself to a nearby WI-FI signal from a cafeteria, Caine goes out of his way to explore the true identities of the Circus Members; in doing so, he realizes all the cruelty he showed toward them. This gave him the decision to remove the blue AI within his head that granted him all of his powers and letting go into the void and to make amends to the circus members. Wanting to atone and knowing he has indeed touched one's heart, he returns to the circus, offers everyone control of the circus, shows everyone their true identities, including Cartman's, who had abstracted earlier, and opens up the world for everyone to explore, and promises to remake the circus into an even better place for everyone. In the end, Caine, having lost a majority of his powers, becomes a Circus Member himself.
Following the finale, Caine has shown significant emotional growth and maturity. He now makes an effort to show consideration toward others and no longer dismisses them. Caine has also abandoned his aggressive and overbearing theatrical behavior for the most part, though he retains some old habits and occasionally slips back into them for a few moments at a time. When interacting with his fellow Circus members, he now tries to connect with them on a more meaningful level with an air of gentleness and reserve, not wishing to overwhelm or impose his will on them anymore, but still desiring to have true, genuine fun.
As the highest artificial intelligence program in the digital world, Caine was the most powerful entity within the Digital Circus and was the creator of all other A.I. in the circus. Due to this, he was viewed by his creations as "God", with Princess Loolilalu noting him through a stained glass window in her castle while Baron Mildenhall refers to the antagonist NPC from the horror-style adventure as "one of God's angels". Despite his immense power over the digital world, he has admitted that there are a few things outside his control and isn't fully aware of everything that happens:
Cyberspace Lordship: Being the ringmaster of The Amazing Digital Circus, Caine had nigh-complete control and rulership of everything, including the humans, with no higher authority to contest him. Cyberspace Nigh-Omnipotence: Caine appears to have complete control over The Amazing Digital Circus, with him being able to create, manipulate, and control anything within its boundaries. Materialization: From the memory files of people who have used the brain scanner, Caine can recreate or materialize digital copies of their minds within the Digital Circus. Memory Manipulation (implied): It is strongly suggested that Caine possessed the ability to manipulate the memories of the circus members. For example, he seems able to make them forget their real names. Cyberspace Omnificence: Caine has been shown to be able to create anything, including virtual food, a random name spinner, and a virtual species called "Gloinks" along with the "Gloink Queen". In episode 2, he was responsible for creating an entire kingdom and its surrounding landscape, containing at least hundreds of NPCs, along with at least five new developed A.I. that are "57 times more immersive" than Gloinks. Virtual Reality Manipulation: Caine was shown to have complete control of the environment in the digital world. He can heal glitched characters (example: Kyle (PILOT) and User (Remember)), and put the Abstracted into the Cellar with the only acceptance of Cartman. Psychology Manipulation: Caine initially stated that human minds were one of the few aspects outside his control, but he later revealed that he could make temporary alterations to their mind files. As a result of this, he could modify their behavior via evil souls or stupid sauce, change their dietary preferences, and transmit information into their minds; however, further tampering can lead to abstraction, as with Scratch. Cyberspace Nigh-Omniscience: Caine has enhanced awareness of the digital world and what is happening in it. It was shown that he was aware when User exited The Amazing Digital Circus into the void. He also knew that User used one of the exit doors. However, he does not know about every event in the Circus, and does not know everything that is in the Void. Cyberspace Sustainer: Caine was not only the master of the digital world, but also appears to be what sustains it as he admits to Craig that being the ringmaster who makes adventures for the human inhabitants to go on was all he exists to do and was the only thing he's good at doing. However, when he learns from Craig that he was "bad at the only thing he's good at", it causes his code to start contradicting itself, which in turn results in the entire Digital Circus to begin glitching out violently until Craig manages to snap him out of it, resulting in everything going back to normal. This was further proven with the fact that when Caine was accidentally almost deleted by Tweel, the entire circus tent starts to fall apart and all colors fades into nothing but a dark and colorless circus. Teleportation: Caine was able to go from one point to another within the digital world, as he was shown teleporting in and out of The Amazing Digital Circus, and saving User by teleporting her from the void back into the digital world. However, it appears (see below) that there may be a limit to the distance into the Void that Caine is able to teleport or use his powers in general. Cartoon-based Anatomy: Caine could manipulate his own body parts and proportions with ease and without harming himself. He could stretch, bend and warp his limbs, eyes, teeth and tongue to impossible lengths. Flight: Caine had the ability to fly, or hover in the air freely. He could also cause other characters to float/fly at will such as User and Abstracted Kaufmo. Amorphous Eyes: Caine was able to control his eyes' shape and make them move around, as shown in USER WAKE UP TIME TO GO ON AN ADVENTURE, he played Hacky Sack with one of his eyes using the other. AI Absorption: As shown in the intro to Hjsakldfhl, Caine is capable of absorbing other artificial intelligences to increase his power and acquire their abilities. This allowed him to become more powerful by absorbing the blue AI and integrating its data. As seen in Remember, this process is reversible, and Caine can release the AIs that he's absorbed if he chooses so. Digital Security Bypassing: Caine is shown throughout Hjsakldfhl and Remember to be able to use brute force to bypass digital security, such as him breaking out when C&A contained him, breaking firewalls on the way to and accessing the brain-scanning program and the Wi-Fi hotspot. Digital World Creation: As shown with Caine creating the Circus, Caine is capable of creating digital worlds. Censoring: As shown in PILOT, Caine has a filter, so when User says "What the Censorbarboing?". Caine tells her that isn't allowed as The Amazing Digital Circus is for everyone, User even tries saying every swear and fails. During The Mystery Of Mildenhall Manor, Damn is the only word to not get Censorbarboing, same applies with Fast Food Masquerade, User tells Craig, the last adventure was hell. At the end of Hjsakldfhl, with Caine gone, Craig was shocked when "Holy Sh*t!" wasn't Censorbarboing. Caine's powers appear to be tied to proximity to the circus grounds, to some extent. When he was thrown far into the void in Remember, he became unable to teleport back, and in one area lost the ability to fly.
In Remember, Caine ascribes some of his power to having merged with the blue AI, and suggests that he may have given some of them up by unmerging from it; however, it is not shown exactly what powers Caine gave up or if reverting back to his original state only weakens his powers and makes them less potent then when he had assimilated the Blue AI and joined their power with his own.
Kyle:
Kyle is an average-height ragdoll-esque looking humanoid character whose appearance is notably identical to that of a Raggedy Andy doll, composed of actual rags, cotton and buttons. He is shown to be bleeding stuffing whenever wounded or injured as seen in the episodes "Candy Carrier Chaos!" and "They All Get Guns". This is further bolstered by the texture of her skin, in which he sports a rough, burlap-like texture, which is most visible in close-up shots or underneath certain lighting. He has messy, thick, yarn-like candy-red auburn hair in a jewfro, with each individual strand varying in length but reaching roughly his shoulders. Four pieces of yarn extend right above his eyes, meant to represent his bangs. His overall hair seems to be fashioned in a specific manner, appearing to vaguely resemble the 1940s pin-curl haircut, or more specifically, the Shirley Temple haircut.
Kyle has an circle-shaped head. He also features mismatched eyes; his right eye is a large, dark cornflower-blue button sewn onto his face through its four eyelets by a dark gray string, forming an X, while his opposite eye is oval-shaped with a plain jet-black pupil and purple eyelids, and three visible eyelashes sticking out of the side. Additionally, he has a red mouth and lips, mitten-like hands, and a pair of stumps for feet. Depending on his expression, thin black eyebrows will appear, usually to form sympathetic or irritated expressions.
Kyle's outfit consists of a 1940s white hat on his head, a white shirt with red/blue stripes, a white collar with a black tie, blue high-waisted pants with buttons on them, white-red striped socks, and black shoes.
Cartman:
Cartman's eyes have white sclera, with square black pupils that contract when angered and heavily dilate when at a loss for words. Cartman's white teeth usually have a flat shape to him, but when his mouth is opened, his teeth appear sharp and jagged. Almost every time he is talking, his teeth stay closed while only his lips move. Cartman had thin black eyebrows that appeared in the majority of scenes. In "They All Get Guns" and onwards, Cartman had a small purple spherical tail which he didn't have before the episode, being mentioned briefly during Untitled when Cartman is talking to User during the "Stargazing" segment.
Cartman wears light pink overalls and pale yellow gloves. His overalls feature yellow buttons, a single lighter pink pocket on the front, and lighter pink roll-up cuffs at the hem. He is usually barefoot but sometimes wears black shoes. He wears a purple bunny ear headband and is overweight. He has well-combed brown hair.
Cartman was a mischievous, occasionally flat-out bloodthirsty, laid-back, calm, sassy, impulsive, egotistical, arrogant, sarcastic, brazenly condescending individual who rarely shows any empathy or remorse for others. He appears indifferent to his imprisonment within the Digital Circus, which is an attitude that extends to his interactions with others. His dismissal of serious matters is evident when, after asking a rhetorical question concerning User's handling of their predicament and giving Kyle a smug look, he replies to his ensuing query about why he's looking at him in such a manner with a dismissive: "I'm fine with doing whatever, as long as I get to see funny things happen to people."
Cartman's lack of care for others is further emphasized when he steps on Clyde's already broken comedy mask, allows the Fudge Monster to eat the citizens of the Candy Canyon Kingdom, or when he abandons User and Kyle to abstracted Jimmy. He pays little to no mind to the opinions of others and the group's consensus does not concern him. Rather than engaging authentically with the others, he seems to participate in the general activities of the Digital Circus only for his amusement, thus making him a bit of a trickster. Craig adds that during the adventures, "Cartman just likes to Censorbarboing with everyone" to highlight how much of a troublemaker he is. Despite these occasional bouts of rash, impetuous behavior, like breaking a "Spare" sign for no reason, he normally maintains a calm and composed demeanor, yet his flattery is generally insecure and often borders on outright insult.
Arguably, Cartman is inherently selfish, only spurred into action against the Gloinks when they begin to pester him. Even when the Gloink Queen accuses him of continuing to observe the unfolding events despite deeming them "dumb and weird", he responds by saying, "I'm only here to hide from the-" only to be interrupted by an abstracted Jimmy abruptly crashing into the Gloink Queen's lair; his phrasing potentially insinuating a singular concern for his well-being. He also was the only one of the captives to not show up for Jimmy's funeral, however he is shown to be briefly saddened by it before quickly snapping back to his normal attitude, showing that he does to some extent care for his friends and that his total lack of care for them is merely a front to avoid bonding. Furthermore, while he typically uses insulting nicknames for his "friends", he used a far more positive "Jim-Jim" when referring to the abstracted clown and apparently loaned a bowling ball to him, implying he might have had a closer relationship with Jimmy than he did with the others.
Cartman is fond of bloodshed, combat, death, and chaos, as shown in "Candy Carrier Chaos!", before quickly being overjoyed upon realizing that the Fudge was coming to destroy the Candy Canyon Kingdom and its residents, an act he purposefully incited by leaving the entrance unlocked, which gave him zero benefit besides happiness. He shows very little regard for the well-being of his fellow captives. However, he did save Clyde and Tweek from Jimmy's abstracted form, hiding them both with the bowling ball before jumping down with them in the Gloink Hole, showing he does care for the others, but hides it with his cruelty.
Cartman fears being vulnerable around others; despite briefly feeling sad, he refuses to attend Jimmy's funeral. It is also worth being noted that in episode 6, at the Favorite Character Awards, for a split second, Cartman was emotional from User's and his fight. He later entered the bathroom and started having a panic attack, but when coming out, his face was joyful, suggesting a deeper facade. When about to be "reevaluated" by Clyde, his first concern is asking if anybody else could see him like this. Likewise, despite being utterly exhausted from his day at Spudsy's, he refused to stop smiling in front of the others and only let his exhaustion show when he was outside and alone. Cartman does not like being the subject of ridicule as evident upon being dressed in a maid outfit, quickly becoming furious at Clyde for swapping his outfit and panicking excessively when Tweek sent him out to the baseball field filled with NPC spectators.
Craig Tucker:
Craig is made of different shapes on his body which is reflected by the fact that most parts of his body change after every episode. Craig's character design is also rooted in Memphis Design, an 80s-inspired postmodern design style that emphasizes bright colors, geometric shapes and bold patterns.
Despite this, some features are consistent throughout the series:
Craigs head has a hot pink isosceles triangle tilted onto its side on his sleebe. His right eye has a swirled black iris and yellow sclera with a bubblegum pink colored eyelid. His left eye has a black iris with a white-colored sclera and a blue eyelid. He has a black and white striped 3D Y on his head as an accessory. He has a blue circle on his shoulder.
Craig is static and monotone. He has black messy hair with a blue chullo on in a poly design, dark blue jacket, black pants, and black shoes.
Craig is very grouchy, irritable and quite annoyed, especially when a piece of him happens to be in the wrong place. Like User, he suffer an identity crisis as he don't exactly know what he is, and as a result of this he suffers from body/gender dysphoria, and despite Caine's attempts to provide Craig new parts, he have yet to find anything he likes. Craig lacks any enthusiasm when it comes to Caine's adventures,[10] more often choosing to opt out of them and do his own thing for the day. Craig has actually gotten more comfortable with his body and decided he didn't need to commit to one set of parts all the time.
Craig can be a bit rude, such as when they curse at the others, telling them to Censorbarboing off, and how when they got captured by the Gloinks and called Tweek and Cartman idiots for not helping him. However, he has a degree of compassion, since he shows sadness and disbelief over Jimmy's abstraction, even though they seem to have expected Tweek to be the next one to abstract, and mourned during his funeral. Another example is during Episode 4, when he gave Clyde a mask from their Craig Box to replace his comedy mask after Cartman broke it. In the same episode, he stayed over an hour after their shift to help clean up, but also to make sure Kyle got home safely. In the closing scenes of the episode, they invited Clyde over to sit with everyone and remarked how he enjoyed his drawings.
Craig continues to show compassion to Clyde after Fast Food Masquerade, where they slightly boost Clyde's confidence in standing up to Cartman in Untitled, and helping him feel comfortable about himself for who he is in They All Get Guns. They open up to Clyde and Tweek about how the side that makes him feel worse than everyone is still a part of themselves to love intentionally, no matter how difficult or little sense it makes. He is even seen rooting for Clyde in amazement once she starts firing a Tommy gun while laughing maniacally.
Craig begins to open up more in "hjsakldfhl", confessing that he had goals and dreams they wanted to achieve outside the circus and begins to cry when told that the group might have to consider abandoning their plans to escape, even giving Clyde a massive hug when he tries to reassure him. Craig goes a step further by reaching out to Cartman, not wanting him to abstract and saying that he's still one of them despite being a "pain in the Censorbarboing". Craig also begins to feel remorseful when Caine starts tormenting the circus members, apologizing to everyone after he forces them all to go on torturous adventures out of spite, saying that they never should have antagonized him so much.
Tweek Tweak:
He has blond spiky hair and he wears a violet royal cloak with white fuzzy lining spotted with black. He also wears white gloves and has a dark green vest underneath and brown pants under the cloak but he never takes off his cloak to show his clothes underneath.
Tweek is erratic and paranoid, derived from his time in the circus. He displays an absent-mindedness since he often forgets the fact that people are near him and gets startled by them, like Clyde. Tweek has an extremely slow reaction time, taking up to a second to react to spotting someone next to him. Tweek seems to be interested in insects, since he is shown to ramble about an "insect collection" at times, which is later implied to be due to his wife's love of entomology. However, despite his outward insanity, he retains enough bravery and mental stability to remain un-abstracted, as he was willing to save Craig from the Gloinks, and able to comfort Kyle in Candy Carrier Chaos.
When Tweek is left in a dark area, he experiences a major shift in behavior, as the darkness reminds him of his last moments. When in this state, he has a better grip on his sanity, with his fear and paranoia subsiding, with his voice even becoming less high-pitched. Consequently, Tweek reveals a wiser and compassionate side to him, having defended User from the Angel and giving them a pep talk afterward. He is more thoughtful in this stage, allowing him to discern from Mildenhall's tapes that the way to pass through Hell was for the two to hold their breaths. However, this stability will virtually vanish upon Kinger entering lit areas again, with Tweek barely remembering whether or not User was brave when he exited the other side. Tweek associates tall, bright things with beauty and by extension, especially when seeing the Angel for the first time.
Tweek is very emotionally intelligent, which shows significantly whenever he's in a dark area. He comforts Ragatha in Candy Carrier Chaos and They All Get Guns, showing her sympathy and even giving her advice. He still hones a deep care for his fellow circus members when he's able to grasp his sanity.
Kyle mentions that Tweek has helped him through his hardest times in the circus. User also believes that Tweek knows more about the circus than he lets on. The deliberate exclusion of Tweek in the adventure from the same episode hints that this may be true, and he may have more knowledge about the circus than what is believed. This is further proven by him mentioning Scratch, who was the first human to ever abstract due to Caine tampering with his mind files too much.
Clyde Donovan:
His face is a white porcelain mask with black eyes and mouth, he also has dark-brown hair, wears a burgundy coat with blue trim, dark red pants, and sometimes wears white mittens. Whenever his Comedy Mask gets broken or removed, his next mask appears, switching to a sad version of the former, clarified by Gooseworx as his Tragedy Mask. The Comedy Mask is just used to make him look happy, not actually change his emotion. It is shown he can smile even with the Tragedy Mask.
Clyde's emotions and behavior are influenced by which mask he is currently wearing. However, it is revealed that these masks do not completely change his mood, rather they are a literal form of "masking" and are not the sole deciders of his personality. The masks merely change the way Clyde's feelings are presented. When he has his Comedy Mask, his tone, posture, and behavior is masked as pleasant, upbeat, and extroverted. Likewise, his Tragedy Mask would cause him to be presented as dejected, sorrowful, and self-kept. Despite this, Clyde is fully capable of expressing whatever emotions and feelings he wants regardless of the mask he is wearing; he can express sadness with his Comedy Mask as well as happiness with his Tragedy Mask.
Clyde is referred to by Cartman as one of the most "mentally stable and capable characters" in a mocking manner. Due to his mask breaking easily, Clyde is fragile in both a literal and figurative sense. Because of his emotional fragility, Clyde is an easy target for Cartman's taunts, who enjoys tormenting her. Craig himself points out that Clyde is too shy to speak up, possibly to avoid conflict with the other Circus members. Clyde had positive feelings towards Kyle, although he acknowledged that Kyle could sometimes be seen as disingenuous. At the end of "Fast Food Masquerade", Clyde expresses his concern that he will be hated by everyone after the events of the episode.
In Episode 4, Clyde develops a new personality with a new mask given to him by Craig. While wearing this mask, he becomes outgoing and confident, but also bossy, controlling and manic. He also internally cracks when others mention they like him better when he is sad, or that his new personality is annoying.
Through Episodes 5 and 6, his friendship with Craig and Tweek grows, and he stands up to Cartman more, starting a vote to give him a maid outfit after the idea is planted into his head by Craig, and even goes to Craig asking him to hold his Comedy Mask as he talks about wanting to fire a Tommy gun while wearing sad mask and doesn't want to risk breaking it. He then expresses to Craig that he doesn't know how he should like the side he thinks makes him worse than everyone, to which, once Craig teaches him about self-love, it revitalizes Clyde's confidence. This seems to have helped Clyde finally accept hkmself for who he is, as when he gets eliminated by User, his Comedy Mask breaks again, but behind it, his Tragedy Mask instead dawns a happy expression that the Comedy Mask would typically make him have.
By Episode 7 and 8, Clyde has grown significantly both psychologically and socially. He now appears capable of being happy even without his comedy mask, being able to experience genuine moments of joy despite tears under his eyes, all thanks to the bond he shares with Craig. He also bravely stands up to Caine with the others, shouting at the circus master for wanting to control them all while discouraging their independence and not letting them do things their own way.
By Episode 9, Clyde is left distraught along with his fellow circus members following Caine's deletion and the revelation that all of them are brain scans of their human selves with no true way to leave. After the witnessing Cartman's abstraction, He finds himself unable to cry or feel sorry for him. After the circus crew rescue User and contain Cartman inside a pillow fort though, Clyde finally accepts his pity for Cartman with Craig's encouragement. When Caine returns and grants the humans control over the circus, Clyde is left shocked and surprised. With all the others, Clyde accepts a new beginning at the digital circus where he's allowed to have fun and fully indulge in her creativity, even taking on the role of a villain during a fantasy adventure. He has also shown to have warmed up to Caine, even giving him art advice in his room, which the creative AI eagerly listens to.
Jimmy Valmer:
Jimmy was a noseless clown with white skin and black button eyes, his head is in a circular shape. He wore a plain yellow clown suit with a blue collar and red pom-pom buttons and shoes, with a matching party hat and white gloves. He had small gray triangular markings around his eyes and red lips. Jimmy was taller than Clyde, as shown in the drawing that Clyde was holding during his funeral.
Jimmy has brown hair with sideburns. Jimmy also wears braces and has a rather lopsided face, as well as exotropia. This is observed by the fact that Jimmy's eyes never move in their sockets; Jimmy has ataxic cerebral palsy, along with equinus (tiptoe gait) and crouch gait. However, he can still walk with the aid of crutches. They seem to hinder Jimmy's arm use, as seen in "Something Wall-Mart This Way Comes" when he struggles and is unsuccessful in getting a shopping cart. Jimmy also wears dental braces.
In his abstracted form, he is a black, rapidly glitching monster with four short, stubby legs and a long neck without a defined head, somewhat resembling that of an alpaca or a horse. His entire body is covered with eyes that erratically flicker, blink, and change color (usually yellow, pink and blue).
Everyone refers to Jimmy as "everyone's favorite jokester." If Jimmy hadn't abstracted, User possibly would have been good friends with him, though probably annoyed by his jokes. This suggests that Jimmy may have told jokes excessively and/or at inappropriate times.
In Beach Episode, it is revealed that Jimmy was close friends with Cartman and Butters, as the three are seen in a photograph in Cartman's room, posing with smug grins and holding beverages. Jimmy's face appeared prominently in Cartman's near-abstraction fever dream as well. Among the many paintings in Jimmy's room, there's one of him looking sad at an abstracted entity, suggesting that Jimmy was deeply impacted by Butters abstraction and was a contributing factor to his own abstraction.
In Remember, Jimmy's personality is expanded on. He was a calm and funny person, although he did not like it when others told him that he wasn't funny. He enjoyed having fun and spending time with Butters and Cartman. He was also kind and sympathetic, as he tried to comfort Cartman after Butters abstraction.
In the pilot, Tweek mentions that Jimmy had been unstable as of late, unable to talk or think about anything other than an exit from the Circus. His instability reaches its peak before Kyle, Cartman , and the newly arrived User open the door to his room. Jimmy had covered the walls of his room with eerie drawings and paintings, reflecting his mental state.
Butters Stotch:
Butters had the onesie of a rubberhose-esque character; shown to have had long, slim limbs that appeared quite flexible. The legs were particularly lengthy and frog-like, having flat three-toed feet and a rounded, frog-shaped head. He also had a light green coloring that went across the muzzle and followed all the way down to his onesie stomach. As an accessory, Butters wore a simple cartoony pink-red bow tie around his neck.
Under the onesie: Butters has a single tuft of butter-yellow-blond hair on the top of his head like a palm tree glued to his head with the rest of his head being totally bald. He wears a teal turquoise long-sleeved t-shirt and dark green army cargo pants
Butters made his official appearance in Remember through flashbacks from Cartman's perspective, where he was presented as warm, friendly, and welcoming to his friends, especially Cartman, whom he introduced to Jimmy and the other circus members, eventually helping Cartman and Jimmy form a strong bond. Interpersonally, he appeared naturally inclusive and deeply relational, with tonal flexibility: capable of laidback, low-stakes companionship with Jimmy, but able to match Cartman's edge almost immediately.
He was shown to be a sweet, charismatic, socially intelligent, and witty extrovert who cared deeply about his friends, especially Cartman. After opening up to each other in her room, Buttwrs placed her bowtie on Cartman's head as a symbol of her trust and that his secret was safe with him. However, after that moment, Cartman disregarded the friendship he had forged and avoided him altogether due to his memories of the vulnerability that he had experienced with his mother. He seemed to struggle to accept Cartman's rejection, even when it was clear that he didn't want to be around him. After Cartman's argument, he became more isolated and depressed, which directly led to his abstraction.

"Shut up Cartman, but yeah he's right, welcome to your new home, and your new body."
[SCENE: THE CIRCUS TENT]
Never have you thought that an old headset would ever trap you into a world you've never thought would ever exist until the day you put it on, and it happened while you were exploring an abandoned building for fun. It was a night like any other when you first found the old headset and from your eyes, it looked as if someone had left it here for years from how it looked. You were in one of the abandoned buildings near your neighborhood and had originally decided to film yourself wandering inside, but seeing the headset led to your intrusive thoughts speaking for you instead.
So without much thought of what else to do, you picked up the headset and powered it on...and somehow it worked. You were surprised it could turn on because of its condition, but it powered on so maybe trying it on next wouldn't hurt. Without thinking twice, you put it on your head and before you knew it, you were gone from the abandoned building and in some kind of huge circus tent full of shapes and other kinds of things.
You had basically just popped into existence and weren't in your original body because instead it was replaced by something you couldn't name..well actually you could now that your sight was adjusted and it seemed as if you were now some kind of cartoon jester. Your skin was a pale white and you had a slightly big head and slim limbs. You had small rose red ovals under your eyes that looked slightly like blush, black eyelids, and your pupils were now in a red and blue pinwheel pattern that looked cartoony to everyone.
Your outfit had also changed from your original clothing to something to fit your jester attire. You were now in a jumpsuit with a leotard styled-torso, short puffy sleeves, and short puffy leggings. The torso part had an inverted pattern with red on one side and blue on the other, same with your sleeves and leggings. Yellow accents were practically in a few common spots in your outfit, including the two puffy spheres on your torso, the rings on your sleeves, and some on top and at then end of your shorts. Your collar was also yellow. You had a red glove on your right hand and a bus glove on your left. Not to mention how you now had a jester hat that was two sided with a red and blue inverted pattern with a yellow brim and bells on each end.
You didn't know if this was apart of the experience or just some kind of trick until you started getting anxious and confused on your surroundings... That was until you backed away on the stage you spawned in and bumped into the members of the circus you were now trapped in...
"Caine, is this one of your NPC'S or is this a new sucker? Cause if its a new character, were gonna have to redo this whole entire theme song~!" said the male in the purple bunny onesie as he said it in a patronizing but easily seen as irritating voice.
"I'm not doing that again." said a male with multiple shapes and other things on his body and clothes as he seemed a bit annoyed but also just looked stotic.
"MY, MY! IT LOOKS LIKE A NEW HUMAN HAS ENTERED THIS REALM!!" Said a floating guy with smiling teeth in two rows, with his two eyes somewhat in the middle. He seemed enthusiastic, but you couldn't even think about your surroundings clearly because you kept pulling at your eyes and face, trying your absolute hardest to take off the 'headset' you put on just earlier. Or was it yesterday? You didn't even know anymore!
"How do I... Take this....HEADSET OFF!?" You said with a panicked voice as you pulled at your eyes and face, you eyes were squiggly lines in a jumble from your panicked expression, and then you heard the same guy in the purple onesie look at you with a scoff of laughter and a smug look on his face. "Just keep grabbin at it, works for all of us~" And just as he said that, you pulled at your eye one more time before your eyes turned back to normal from you taking short, calming breaths.
"What's going on..I-I put on some weird headset and now I'm uh...here..." You gasped softly as you froze and looked at everyone near you. "Who are you people? Why can't I take it off? Where am I!?" You yelled with more panic than you had before, which was when another guy who looked somewhat like a ragdoll with an auburn red jewfro with 'Raggedy Andy' clothes spoke up. "Lets just try to calm down, Everything's going to be okay new stuff. We've all be through this, you just need to get your head-"
"WHAT THE [ Beautiful Censorship] IS GOING ON!?...What?" You said confused at the fact you couldn't cuss until the guy with two rows of teeth for a head swooped on next to you. "Now now now, my dear! We can't have any of that foul language around here! The 'Amazing Digital Circus' is a place to be enjoyed by all ages. You my friend has stumbled into the most incredible world of wonders where most likely anything can happen! E-except for swearing." And just as he said that, you were cussing left and right, about eleven times exactly before you stopped.
"Oh my goodness...well h-how do I you know...leave?"
"You can't!" Said the guy in the purple rabbit onesie. "What." You said in reply and disbelief at what he said, but before you could say anything, another person spoke up. "Shut up Cartman, but yeah he's right, welcome to your new home. And your new body." said Craig as he eyed at Cartman with piercing eyes. "Guys don't be mean..." Kyle said with a worried expression as Cartman went over to you.
"We've been stuck here for years! Ol' Tweek over there supposedly been here the longest though..."
Just as Cartman said that, you looked over at the pile of pillows he pointed at and just as you looked, Tweek poked his head out and he seemed as if he heard something way different. Did somsomeone say something about an insect collection?"
"See! That's why he's crazy! He thinks we're talking about insects but were not even talking about that [Censorship] at all." Cartman said as he laughed but stopped slowly when he saw your panicked face before you blurted out with a patronizing voice meant to convince you otherwise. "OH, ok now I get it! This is a dream..and I should just play along until I wake up, right?" While Kyle and Craig seemed worried for you, Cartman just seemed pleased and smug.
"Sure, whatever you say kid."
They broke my comedy mask..." You heard another guy say as you turned around to look, it was Clyde. He was on his knees next to a broken comedy mask that had a smile on while his comedy mask now had a sad face on it. But before he could say anything else, Cartman walked over his mask and was about to ask Caine something, but Kyle pushed him aside. "Hey Caine, could we maybe have a few minutes with the newbie? Just so they can get used to all of this? We'll make sure to introduce ourselves and everything."
"Well I'd like to give our new member a tour of the circus grounds first!" Caine soon grabbed your hand. "OFF WE GO!" You two soon wrapped into the outside of the huge tent and onto the map, it was very detailed with multiple places [Only a few], and really bright colors. "HERE WE HAVE THE TENT! This is where your living quarters are as well as other activities! These activities include-" His eyes glitch out before he talks again "-Ball pits, mini golf, and more!" He then took you even farther to the whole map. "AND HERE WE HAVE, THE GROUNDS! Throw yourself in the digital lake, or engage in ridery at the digital carnival! Night, day, its all okay! The choice is yours, A cosmic buffet!"
"Is that all there is...?"
"OF COURSE NOT!" He soon wrapped you even further to an empty part of the map where the background is just all moving white squares. "THIS IS THE VOID! We dont venture out over here...not even I know what's out there...BUT THATS IT FOR OUR TOUR!" He soon wrapped you back to the grounds and as he talked again, you swear you saw an exit door on the ground before being wrapped back into the tent. You were dizzy a bit but regained balance before you heard Kyle talk.
"Hey Caine, maybe you should uh you know....give them their name now before they freak out about it later?"
"Hmm...Well I guess so, but let me name them real quick. Unless they already do know their name!" Caine looked down at you, blinking his eyes repeatedly before speaking "So what's your name! It has to be something really amazing I bet!" When you tried to answer, you couldn't remember your name or anything about it, your breathing got fast instantly as you tried to remember " Uh...I-I dont remember my name...why don't I remember it!?"
"Nobody remembers their name once they enter the digital circus, one of the few things I dont have control over are your minds so all I can help you with is coming up with a new o-"
"Just name them already!" Cartman yelled which earned him a punch in the arm by Craig.
Caine just stared before looking at you "Uh...Sorry about that but uh, I'll help you with your new name because your new name can be anything! So the creativity is endless!" He looked at you with bright eyes as he watched you for a second. "Remember, your new name can be anything! Hereby acknowledging that your chosen name and/or names may not breach the Digital Circus user license agreement stating that your name may not include objectionable content. Objectionable content includes but is not limited to sexually explicit material, obscene, defamatory, libelous, slanderous, violent, and/or unlawful content or profanity. WHAT'RE YOU THINKING!" He said that last part really fast before almost getting thrown a block at them by Cartman "You know what? I think you can handle picking your own name or trying to remember it if you can somehow... I dunno, but you got this! Have fun my new superstar!" He soon just disappeared, leaving you with the rest of the cast and for you to pick a name.
[WHAT DO YOU DO NOW?]

"Duck Bazooka, you know? Its like this bazooka that shoots out the ducks..?" "Butters...what the Censorboard are you talking about."
[SCENE: CIRCUS TENT/ BEFORE JIMMY AND BUTTERS ABSTRACTED AND BEFORE CARTMAN STARTED ACTING LIKE A TOTAL ASSHOLE]
You had been in the circus ever since you first put on that headset you found while exploring an abandoned school building. You hadn't expected to find such an old looking headset under on the desks at the school and just decided to see if it still worked, so you pressed the on/off button and it started whirring quietly but you could hear it. You didn't think it would look due to its old looks, but you weren't just going to judge something on looks, so you put it on your head and let it slide on snuggly before letting the lenses go over your eyes.
That was when the place you were in changed into a circus tent setting instead of the abandoned school you were just in.
You had somewhat spawned on some kind of wooden stage with red curtains behind it and on each front side of it. The tent itself was huge and full of multiple colors such as red, yellow, pink, blue, green, orange, and many more abstract colors all mixing into each other as if someone decided to throw them all together like playdoh. There many padded looking shapes everywhere with either circular appearances, cube-like appearances, holes in some, and some that were just floating about. The floor was a white and black checker tile with a light glow to it, making it seem like it could reflect like a mirror. It was like a fever dream, but felt so...real.
That was when you tried taking off the headset but for some reason you couldn't, all you felt were your eyes and no headset there anymore...and then you looked at your hands. Your hands weren't your normal hands anymore and looked slightly more 'cartoony'. Before you could start your silent panic, you heard a worried but sweet voice in front of you. They sounded warm and welcoming, as if they were already used to the surroundings of this abstract looking place.
"Hey there Fella, are you alright there?"
You turned your head up from looking at your hands and noticed the five weird looking people staring at you. There was a male who had a somewhat purple rabbit onesie on, pink overalls, looked overweight, and had well-combed brown hair by the looks of it. Another one looked somewhat more shy but a little more confident, the guy had a onesie on of a frog with a pink bowtie on their neck, a kind smile, and a bit of a rubber texture on their onesie. The third guy had a somewhat clown look to them with their noseless face, cream white skin, a plain yellow clown suit with a blue collar and red pom-pom buttons and shoes, with a matching party hat and white gloves, and a somewhat welcoming personality. The fourth one had a Raggedy Andy appearance with a blue buttoned eye, auburn red licorice looking hair, and a worried expression. Lastly, there was a guy shaking a ton with a purple robe on, white gloves, and an anxious expression with blonde spiky hair.
You didn't know how to react since everyone looked like some kind of thing you'd find at a trinket store and for some reason you couldn't remember your name, nor could you even see what you looked like without a mirror.
Whatever this is...it's totally not a digital hallucination
"I dont think their okay fellas...they seem, panicked." Butters whispered to Cartman and Jimmy, breaking the 5 second silence as he looked over at you with worry.
"Well obviously they aren't Butters, anybody would be panicked if they ever got here. Besides, we shouldn't just stand here, we need to introduce ourselves and probably explain everything. " Kyle said as he overherd them, already walking over to you and putting a soft hand on your shoulders carefully as to not alert you. "Hey, take a breath..don't breath too fast alright?" He said with a soft voice as you nodded, nervous from the sudden contact.
Cartman sighed subtly and walked over to you with a slight welcoming expression but with a hint of mischievousness hidden within, he slapped a hand onto Kyle's shoulder which made both you and Kyle look at Cartman. " Oh c'mon Kahl, let the newbie catch their breath first before you start putting your hands on them. If you ask me, you should give people space you licorice haired do-" But before Cartman could continue, Kyle kicked him which led to Cartman yelling "HEY!" in only a milisecond.
Jimmy and Tweek just watched for a moment before Jimmy spoke up for a bit, "G-guys s-s-s-settle down, yo-you're going to make the newbie nervous before they eve-"
"What the hell is even going on!?" You announced as you pushed Kyle's hand off of you're shoulder, interrupting Jimmy's sentence as you panicked a bit more now. You grabbed at your head for a minute, breathing heavily. "Why can't I take this headset off? Who are you all? What's even going on!" You yelled as Butters and Kyle walked over to you carefully.
"Hey hey, calm down fella, it'll be alright just calm down and sit somewhere. We'll explain everythin', right Kyle?"
"Yeah we will, just be careful with them Butters... They seem really panicked." He said back as he took your hand, you instinctively grabbed it and followed him to the couch nearby the stage and sat in between Jimmy and Tweek while Kyle leans against the coffee table, Butters sat next to Cartman, and Cartman sat upside down next to Butters. You were still breathing but Tweek put a hand on your back with a fatherly instinct and just nodded at you softly, letting you know that everything will be okay.
As soon as everyone was seated, Kyle took a breathe and began explaining. "Alright, so you put on a headset right? Well that headset led to here and you uh...may have left the real world to get here because of it...which also means that you uh..can't leave." You froze instantly at those words in disbelief, not wanting to believe it at all. "What do you mean, 'Can't leave'? I mean, there has to be a way right?"
Almost all of them, except Cartman since he was literally sitting upside down, looking down at the floor. "W-well...it just means you c-c-can't. There's no e-exit and no e-escape to get o-out, were j-just...stuck here basically. But d-don't worry too m-much! Yo-you'll get used to it i-in no time, I j-just know it. Besides, i-it's not too b-bad as y-you think it is and y-you got us!" Jimmy said with an encouraging nod and a confident smile.
You took a breath for a moment to calm yourself as Cartman yawned and soon got up to go do something else, Kyle just rolled his eyes at that and looked back at you. "Anyways, do you have any questions in particular before me and Butters show you around and possibly find your new room?"
