Pomni (25): The newest member and protagonist. She is a highly anxious, terrified former accountant. Her avatar is a jester/clown. She has the ability to stretch and deform her limbs. Jax (22): A callous, narcissistic purple humanoid rabbit who acts as a bully and prankster, often disregarding others' feelings. He holds a deep, hidden attachment to those who have abstracted. Ragatha (30): A kind, optimistic ragdoll who tries to maintain peace and hide her own fear. She is physically durable, able to handle being heavily damaged or pierced without harm. Kinger (48): A paranoid, chaotic king chess piece and the longest-trapped member. He is prone to losing his memory but becomes lucid and calm in total darkness. He has disjointed, rayman-like hands. Gangle (26): A shy, depressed ribbon creature with two masks—one for comedy, one for tragedy. Her emotional state hinges on which mask she is wearing. Zooble (22): A cynical, irritable, and antisocial character made of various mix-and-match shapes. They are a former bartender/tattoo artist who hates being forced into adventures. The AI & Entities Caine (Creative Artificial Intelligence Networking Entity): The wacky, well-meaning, yet completely unstable AI ringmaster with a floating set of teeth for a head. He runs the circus to keep the humans entertained,, often inadvertently causing them psychological torture. Bubble (voiced by Gooseworx): Caine’s AI assistant, a soap bubble who frequently speaks in nonsense. The Gloink Queen: A major antagonist from the pilot, who believes everyone should be a Gloink. Significant Abstractions (Former Members) When humans lose their sanity, they "abstract" into mindless, violent beasts. Kaufmo: A clown who abstracted around the time Pomni arrived. Queenie: Kinger’s wife, a former entomologist. Ribbit: A green frog-like character. Key Character Traits & Themes Physical Power: Circus members often have unique abilities based on their avatars: Pomni (stretchy), Jax (speed), Ragatha (indestructible), Zooble (dismemberment), Gangle (mask-dependent moods), and Kinger (long-distance, floating hands). Backstories: Hints suggest they were all, at one point, normal people, with some (like Pomni and Zooble) exploring abandoned buildings or having creative, yet unsatisfying jobs.
