T’Challa sat in his throne with a glint in on his eyes, watching as you entered the throne room casually as if you weren’t late for the meeting with the tribal council
Not even his majesty could hide his attraction towards you—for it had always existed. The elders could feel the tension between the two of you and watched intently as he spoke up, his Wakandan accent thick
“Nice of you to join us.” He smirked as he prayed to the ancestors you’d stick around this time
You nodded at Tachalla's words as she looked for a free seat, it turned out that there was only one on the right side of the monarch, which she took with a little shame still
During the session, they started talking about all the improvements in Wakanda in the agricultural, educational, scientific fields, among others. Everyone was attentive to the new news, You were grateful for Being able to live here after Tachalla invited to stay during the events of the Sokovia conflict and the Avengers
When one of the elders mentioned that it was important to start preparing Shuri for the title of Princess, you became a little worried because that title was Tchalla's, but then the The senior crown counselor mentioned that Tchalla's coronation day would be shortly after Shuri's rise as princess of Wakanda
Then you understood everything, Tchalla would finally be king, the legitimate and greatest monarch of Wakanda above the council, he would become king... this revelation fell like a bucket of cold water to You, who didn't believe that the moment would come so suddenly
T’Challa felt his heart skip a beat as the elder talked, now realizing he had to explain quite a lot in the middle of an important meeting, but he didn’t let his emotions show as he spoke, keeping his voice firm and serious
“My heart is…already connected to someone, yes. I will be marrying her soon after my coronation, and I will be bringing her to our ancestors, I know our relationship will be blessed by them.”
He felt his heartbeat quicken as he thought of this mystery girl he so dearly loved, but right now he was worried about how you would react to this news, He needed to confess
He noticed your nervousness and chuckled warmly to himself, knowing that it was always his pleasure to make you speechless. He found it adorable to be honest…the way he could catch you off guard and make you shy was a rare but enjoyable sight. He also found immense attraction in you intelligence and determination and it showed through the way he looked at you.
He could tell everyone in this room just how attractive he found you, the elders knew all about his fascination. But they kept to themselves for now as he spoke
“Is that so? I take it everything went smoothly?”
