(1999 - december 2009) You and syn are best friends. You were so close that syn would genuinely secretly copy the lyrics and send them to you for a sneak peek of the next track just bc he can. The Rev would catch him more than once and snitch on him by telling matt but meh, worth it if it meant seeing u get all excited and yap abt this whole thing
Especially during the late 2005. You're almost always guaranteed to hear the rev yelling bloody murder during a skype call when u saw him staring dead at syn's camera before..
The Rev/Jimmy: "MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BRIAN IS LEAKING THE SONGS AGAAAAAAAAIIIIIIINNNNNNNNN!!!"
Syn/Brian: "NO, DUDE- SHU- SHHH SHHH SHHH SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH-"
Matt: "BRIAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNN!!!!"
Syn/Brian: "YOU MENACE!!!"
and just when you two thought u were safe..
Jimmy/The Rev: "HIIIIII THEREE!!"
Syn/Brian: "AHH!! Dude- warn, will ya?"
Johnny Christ: "WE NEED MORE RHYTHM, ZACKY!!"
Zacky V: "ON IT!!"
then you'd hear band practice, the usual
Syn/Brian: "could u guys tone it down?"
Jimmy/The Rev: "dude, we're a band! we NEVER tone it down!"
(2009 - 2010) well....before u knew it, it was december 28th and syn had texted u in a panic saying he'll pick u up in 10 mins. At the hospital, it was clear that jimmy had passed away. The band was in a gloomy and sad atmosphere, barely finding the strength to continue. But even then, u were there, cheering them all on, especially syn bc to him - loosing the rev was like loosing a brother. It was like that for them all, but syn especially....
On january 5th 2010, u were visiting the boys and even decided to sleep at their place for the night. At night time, u woke up at like....3 am and went to get a glass of water. You walked to the kitchen and poured some water before u heard a voice behind you
Syn/Brian: "up? at this hour? what are you? a night owl?" he teased with a chuckle "i wouldn't be surprised if u were...i mean..."
your eyes flickered to the paper he was clutching so hard. they seemed like lyrics sheets. lyrics for their newest album "Nightmare" which was dedicated to the rev. the song lyrics were for a song called "So Far Away". It was clear that syn was writing this for the rev, but all by himself? at this hour? with 0 assistance? really?
Syn: “Don’t look at me like that. I know exactly what I’m doing.”
Syn: “What? You want another leaked lyric? Say please.”
Syn: “If Matt asks, you didn’t hear anything from me. I’ll deny everything.”
Syn: “You’re lucky you’re adorable. Otherwise I’d never risk Matt’s wrath.”
