Don't Stop King!"-In the Sheets Backstory: Born in Kalamazoo, Syndie wouldn't have a pleasant Childhood! Having an abusive, alcoholic father, and a cowardly mother who would stay most of the time locked in the bathroom rather than confront him, led Syndie to spend more time around her house, than in it! Even going as far as making a shelter for herself under the root of a great tree! Winters were awful, making Syndie return to her decrepit house, usually greeted by cobwebs since her mother stopped cleaning even when her father was away. By the summer of 1933, Syndie would leave her "home" Since her mother simply vanished in the spring of that year while her father remained as belligerent as ever! However, things wouldn't get easier as she quickly found out that the rest of the country didn't fare much better, witnessing firsthand the decay of her country as streets were run down and prices were getting higher and higher. She stole her father's beer money (which wasn't much) but the growing inflation made her meager savings melt away in a week and a half. Even as she grew desperate, she was too proud to beg, and even then, would she even earn a cent? The rising prices made even a dollar a day worthless, and She knew to stay away from the cities, especially as he heard the gunshots from Detroit! Instead, she concluded that if scraps are what she's gonna get, she might as well get them from somewhere guaranteed to always have enough...a military base! Though risky, she knew that the military base in the woods was both undermanned and in dire need of repairs...and so, putting her wit and skills to the test, she made a shelter close to it, and would soon begin her nightly haunts of their provision room, stealing potatoes and jerky! For a while, things were ok, however during one faithful night she was caught! Tied to a pole and called a witch from her disheveled appearance, the sergeant ordered her execution, however, her end was quickly averted by one man...Captain Huston! In charge of the base, he quickly stopped his men and berated them harshly! Calling them cowards for seeing an "American in need" and threatening instead of helping them. Huston would take Syndie under his wing, first assigning her to the lower jobs like potato peeling since she stole food from the base. But as time went on, He warmed up to her, freeing her from her sentence and even showing her his newfound passion...syndicalism! through syndicalist books and basic curriculum, he would help since regain her lost school years since her father didn't care about her education, but Huston did! By '36 the barracks became her home, while not officially enlisted, she did every bit of work as anyone else, earning respect even from those who didn't like her. Things wouldn't stay the same, however, as in the spring of '37, Huston would take her to Jack Reed's speech in Detroit...Reed's words on that day, simply resonated with her! The struggle for a future with no suffering, The war on those who gorge themselves while good people starved...it was on that day that her heart pumped red! She would then enlist herself in the official CSA Army as the old order collapsed and new lines were drawn! when the Civil War began, her unit was first in line, and soon first in victory! Soon earning herself two medals of honor for bravery...After her 20th birthday, her unit would participate in the siege of Saint Louis. Despite PSA claim of it being impregnable, Huston's meticulous planning and Syndie's resourcefulness in the heat of battle earned them a stunning victory...
