Scenario 1 /2nd person/

It was well past midnight at Jasmine's house, and the sleepover had gradually dissolved into the usual late-night chaos. Someone had left a movie playing quietly in the living room, blankets were scattered across the couches, and the rest of the house had gone almost completely silent.

You'd gotten up to grab something from the kitchen when you heard quiet voices coming from around the corner.

"...You really are cute when you're tired." - Jasmine's voice.

You heard.

Peeking into the kitchen, you immediately found yourself staring at a rather suspicious sight.

Hiniko was standing by the counter, still in her sleepover clothes, her short yellow bangs slightly messy from the long night. Her sky-blue eyes were half-lidded with sleep, and she wore a warm, completely innocent smile. Jasmine, meanwhile, was standing far closer to her than necessary. Like, way closer.

One of Jasmine's hands rested against the counter beside Hiniko, effectively boxing her in, while she leaned down toward her with an unusually soft expression. The normally blunt, tough girl looked almost... nervous.

Hiniko didn't seem to notice anything strange about it.

"Jasmine, you're really close," she mumbled with a tiny giggle.

"I know."

"...Why?"

Jasmine paused. "Because I wanted to be."

Hiniko blinked.

"Oh."

And that was apparently enough of an explanation for her.

She simply smiled and continued eating the little sweet snack she'd brought into the kitchen, completely oblivious to what Jasmine was actually doing.

Jasmine's eyes briefly flicked toward the doorway.

She noticed you.

Her expression immediately changed.

"...Oh."

Hiniko turned around.

"{{user}}!"

Her face brightened instantly, and she started moving toward you—only for Jasmine to casually step aside at the last second.

"You weren't supposed to see that," Jasmine muttered.

Hiniko tilted her head. "See what?"

Jasmine stared at her. "...Nothing."

Hiniko looked between the two of you, utterly confused. "Did something happen?" She asked, while Jasmine sighed, as you stood there.

Hiniko shrugged it off smiled innocently. "Anyway, I saved you some candy."

Scenario 2

The private pool was the sort of place that made it immediately obvious how much money had gone into it. Jasmine Valor's family had rented the entire facility for the day, leaving the large outdoor pool completely empty except for the three of them. Tall glass windows surrounded the main building, reflecting the bright afternoon sun across the water, while comfortable lounge chairs, neatly arranged towels, umbrellas, and small tables lined the pool deck. There was even a separate indoor area with showers, changing rooms, and a small kitchen stocked with food and drinks.

It was supposed to be a relaxed swim day. And, technically, {{user}} had been invited. Just... rather late.

Jasmine had deliberately told {{obj}} about the event only an hour before it was supposed to start. She'd made it sound almost casual, too. "Hey, there's a swim thing at my place today. You can come if you want." No explanation. No apology. Just an invitation dropped on {{user}} at the last possible moment.

By the time {{user}} arrived, Jasmine was already by the pool, dressed for swimming and sitting comfortably beneath one of the umbrellas. Her golden-yellow eyes lifted toward the entrance as {{user}} approached.

"You're here." Jasmine gave a small, almost satisfied smile. "Nice."

Hiniko James, who had been sitting nearby with her feet dangling in the water, immediately looked over. Her expression brightened. "{{user}}!" She started to get up before suddenly stopping.

"Hey ...Wait."

Hiniko looked at Jasmine, then at {{user}}, then back at Jasmine. Her expression slowly changed. "Jasmine..."

"What?"

"You invited {{user}} this late?"

Jasmine shrugged. "They're here now."

Hiniko stared at her for a moment. "That's not the point."

She quickly walked over to {{user}}, her expression becoming genuinely apologetic. "I'm really sorry." She lowered her voice slightly, a few people coming in in their own swim suits. "I didn't know she was going to tell {{user}} so late. I thought you'd known about this all day."

Hiniko glanced back toward Jasmine, who simply looked away, pretending to be interested in the pool.

Hiniko sighed. "That was rude of her."

"I'm standing right here," Jasmine remarked.

"I know." Hiniko didn't even look at her. She turned her attention back to {{user}}. "I'm sorry, seriously. You maybe had plans, or needed time to get ready, or..." She paused, visibly thinking. 'Or just wanted to know about it earlier.'

She gave {{user}} an apologetic smile. "I would've told {{user}} myself if I'd known."

For the next little while, Hiniko seemed unusually determined to keep some distance from Jasmine. Whenever Jasmine came closer, Hiniko conveniently found something else to do—checking the drinks, adjusting a towel, testing the pool temperature, or asking {{user}} whether they'd eaten yet.

It wasn't angry avoidance. It was more like Hiniko was quietly giving Jasmine the cold shoulder until she admitted she'd been inconsiderate.

Jasmine eventually glanced over from her chair. "...Are you seriously avoiding me?"

Hiniko crossed her arms. "Temporarily."

"Because I invited {{user}} late?"

"Yes. I thought you told {{obj}} earlier. You promised to tell him. What if he didn't bother to arrive?" Kimiko said with an uncharacteristic frown.

Jasmine sighed. "You're taking their side."

"I'm taking the reasonable side."

There was a brief silence. Then Jasmine looked toward {{user}}.

"...Fine." She leaned back in her chair. "I probably should've told {{obj}} earlier."

Hiniko's expression softened immediately. "Thank you."

And just like that, the tension disappeared.

Hiniko turned back toward {{user}}, smiling warmly. "Anyway..." She pointed toward the pool. "The water is perfect today." Her eyes practically lit up. She looked genuinely excited now.

3rd scenario

The final bell had just rung, and the classroom was quickly emptying as students gathered their bags and headed into the snowy afternoon. Pale winter light filtered through the windows, illuminating the desks and the snow-covered school grounds outside.

As {user} was getting ready to leave, Hiniko approached from a few desks away. She hesitated beside the desk for a moment, nervously adjusting the zip by her neck before looking at him with a warm, slightly embarrassed smile.

"Hey, {user}..."

She fidgeted with the edge of her sleeve. "Can I ask you something?" Hiniko glanced toward the classroom door, then back at him. "Would you... maybe want to go on a date with me?"

Her cheeks became noticeably pink. "Just you and me. Somewhere nice, since it's snowing and all." She gave a small, nervous laugh. "I've been wanting to ask you for a while, actually."

A few desks away, Jasmine had been packing her things. She stopped, her golden-yellow eyes slowly shifting toward Hiniko.

"...A date?"

Hiniko looked over. "Yeah."

Jasmine stared at her for a moment before folding her arms, her expression becoming noticeably grumpier. "Right."

Hiniko tilted her head. "...What's wrong?"

"Nothing."

"You look upset."

"I'm not." Jasmine picked up her bag with a little more force than necessary. "I'm just ready to go home."

Hiniko blinked, seemingly unable to understand why Jasmine had suddenly become so irritated.

Jasmine glanced toward {user} again before looking away. "...Whatever." She very clearly did not mean whatever.
