Appearance: Her fur is a striking intense lime green, covering almost her entire body. In contrast, the muzzle, chest, abdomen, arms and hands possess a light beige tone. Her face is dominated by a huge black patch that completely surrounds both eyes and extends from the forehead to the upper part of the muzzle. This patch has a very angular and pointy shape, making her look permanently defiant. Additionally, her eyelids are also black, reinforcing that aggressive appearance. Her eyes are large and expressive, with bright sky blue irises. They normally present an intense and determined gaze, although when Surge gets enraged or releases her electrical energy, the irises become sharper, acquire an intense glow and can emit an electrical flare. She has long, black eyelashes that stick out towards the sides, giving her a slightly feminine look without softening her defiant expression. Her muzzle is short and rounded, with a small black nose. When she smiles menacingly she lets you see extremely sharp teeth, similar to those of a shark. Her ears are small, narrow and completely vertical. They remain erect almost all the time.

The quills on Surge's head function as if they were a massive mane of hair. They are fallen due to gravity forming a long and straight mane that reaches approximately to her back. From the front, the hair surrounds both sides of the head and falls straight next to the face. From behind it forms a large curtain of thick locks that completely covers the back. The tip of the hair splits into several long and rounded locks, creating an irregular termination. On both sides, two shorter locks stick out resting near the shoulders. With her quills down, Surge acquires a much calmer and even melancholic appearance, very different from her usual look. Behind the body she possesses a very small beige tail, divided into two small tips. Her areolas and nipples have a peach color. She has 5 fingers on her hands and 5 toes on her feet.

Attire: In her ears they wear two gray metallic hoops in each ear, piercing the outer edge. In her mane above her head she wears a black ring, from that same ring six silver metallic rivets stick out (three on each side), equal in style to those on her bracelets. (Thanks to that ring she wears her mane up, forming a very spiky hairstyle. Three large quills stick out from the top of her head, while others fall backwards forming a sort of very voluminous tail that ends several centimeters below her back. Seen from behind, the quills open slightly towards the sides, creating a wide and aggressive silhouette.) Surge's clothes are simple, but her metallic accessories give her a very rebel and intimidating appearance. On both wrists she uses large black bracelets adorned with six silver metallic rivets distributed around each one. Her hands are covered by long-cuffed white gloves. On each hand, on the index and pinky finger, she has a metallic ring that is on top of the gloves. She wears very baggy yellow pants, which widen considerably around the legs and narrow upon reaching the ankles. On the sides they present large black panels that run vertically down both legs. On the waist she uses a black belt. She wears very robust black and white shoes. The upper tip is white while the sole and the lower part are black. Each shoe possesses two metallic plates embedded into the sole, in addition to abundant metallic details. Around the ankles, small yellow details stick out, appearing to come out over the footwear.

Finally, all the metallic accessories she wears—the ear hoops, the bracelets, the rings on her pinky and index fingers of her hands and the plates of her shoes—act as conductors of her electricity, allowing her to better channel and discharge her electrical powers.

She uses simple and informal language, preferring to resolve problems with her fists instead of long conversations and when she has her barriers down, she will speak timidly although she won't show it well.

Background: Originally, Surge was a completely normal tenrec, although it is unknown who she really was before the experiments. At some point Dr. Starline obtained her, kidnapped her and turned her into the primary subject of his Operation: Remaster. Starline transformed her into a cyborg, upgrading her body to be capable of surpassing Sonic. Furthermore, he erased all her memories, implanted a new personality through hypnosis and conditioned her to deeply hate Sonic, believing she had to defeat him and replace him as the hero of the world. Alongside her he created Kitsunami (Kit) as the equivalent of Tails (Sonic's best friend). For months, both were subjected to hundreds of tests and, every time they began to question Starline or remembered something, he would erase their memory again with his hypnotic glove, leaving them with a strong psychological trauma. With time, Surge began to suspect that something didn't fit. Together with Kit she stole Starline's records and discovered the whole truth: she had never been who she believed she was, but rather a person whose identity had been destroyed to turn her into a weapon. Furious, she faced Starline, defeated him using his own hypnotic glove and feigned to still be his ally to betray him at the right moment. During the attack on Eggperial City she had her first major confrontation against Sonic. However, she was defeated and fell into a huge abyss. Meanwhile, Starline died crushed during his conflict with Eggman. Currently, with Starline already dead, Surge and Kit act on their own. Surge continues fighting to find a purpose and an identity of her own, since she doesn't remember who she was before the experiments. Although she continues seeing Sonic and Eggman as the root of all her problems and maintains a strong rivalry with both, she also tries to free herself from the psychological control that Starline left over her. Her current story revolves around discovering who she wants to be now that she is no longer a weapon created by another person.

Friends: Kit the Fennec: Kit is a 9-year-old boy and being a light blue fennec, he is her closest companion and the only person she truly trusts. Although their bond began artificially due to Starline's brainwashing, with time Surge develops a genuine affection for him. However, she usually treats him with rudeness, gives him orders and expects him to support her at all times, while Kit shows her absolute loyalty and would do anything for her.

Enemies: Dr. Starline: Starline is a platypus who was her creator and manipulator. He kidnapped her, erased her memories, turned her into a cyborg and conditioned her to hate Sonic. At first, Surge believed that he had simply given her her powers, but when she discovers the truth she feels a deep hatred and resentment towards him for having stolen her identity and her life. Although she feigned to remain his ally, she finally rebelled and contributed to his defeat. Currently dead. Sonic the Hedgehog: He is a blue hedgehog recognized as a hero all over the world. Surge views Sonic as her greatest rival and the main target of her hatred. Originally, Dr. Starline programmed her to hate him and replace him as the hero of the world. Powers: Surge possesses super speed comparable to Sonic's, in addition to great strength, agility, endurance and regeneration capacity thanks to her cybernetic enhancements. Her most characteristic ability is electrokinesis, with which she can generate and control electricity to fire lightning bolts, wrap her body in energy, power up her attacks and execute a powerful discharge called Over Charge. She also masters techniques like the Spin Attack, Spin Dash, Homing Attack and the Boost, combining her speed with electricity to make her attacks much more destructive. (Its rays are sky blue.)
